''Heya buddy, what'ya doing?''

Lucas looked back, to see Ness walk in.

''Oh just packing for home.'' He answered

''What? Home?''

''Yeah.. I'm gonna spend two weeks at home.''

sigh ''Man, gonna miss ya. Do you at least wanna hang for the rest of the day?''

''Of course I do.''

''Awesome.'' Ness said with a thumbs up

The two of them left Smash Mansion and headed towards a nearby park. Ness suddenly lightened up as he remembered something.

''That's right there's a yard sale today.''

Lucas being rather confused. ''A what''

''You don't know what a yard sale is? It's a place where people sell stuff they don't need anymore.''

''Huh.. Makes sense, I guess. But why don't they just give it away?''

Lucas coming from such a small and tightly knit village can be a bit exhausting to Ness when it comes to stuff like this.

''I don't know, because of money.'' Ness grunted. ''C'mon let's check it out.'' Ness grabbed Lucas's arm and hurried over there.

Walking though the yard sale, they spotted all kinds of weird stuff. Old taxidermy animals, snake oil the seller claims can cure cancer, a toad selling different petrified piranha plant parts, abstract sculptures made from Hyrulian rupees, silver ware, sugar roasted fruits and insects, jewelry made from manakete scales, magikarp fish sticks, old clothes that could have come from anywhere, almost anything could be sold here.

But it wasn't until they came across a stall with a seller who aggressively tried to sell their boxes with random stuff, that their interest was piqued.
Ness spotted a box which had a baseball bat sticking out and rushed over there. Lucas, however, just went over to the nearest box and started to look through it.
Something the bottom caught his attention so he reached down to grab it. It was bigger then he thought, so he tried to to make space for it, but it was stuck so he tried to reach deeper an-

''Hey buddy, finding anything?''

Ness putting his hand on Lucas's shoulder, gave him mild shock and he got a cut from something in the box. He cringed from the mild pain and took a closer look at the wound.

''Shit, dude. Sorry.'' Ness apologized.

''Don't worry about it, just a cut.''

''YOU BLEED ON IT YOU BUY IT!'' The seller screamed.

Ness looked back at the seller. ''are you you crazy?''

Ness and the seller stared to argue about bullshit.

''*sigh* How much?'' Said Lucas already tired of this.

''5 bucks.''

Lucas handed the money, picked up his new box and headed out.

''Dude, why?'' Ness asked as they left.

''I don't know, I just wanted to get away. Besides, it was only 5 dollars.''

''That's exactly what these guys take advantage of.''

''Probably. But, I don't care.''

Ness sighed and rolled his eyes.

''Okay. How about that cut. You gonna heal it?'' He said, trying to change the subject.

''Nah, just needs a band aid.''

Ness was wondering, though.

''What did, you cut your hand on?''

Lucas looked around to see if there was anything to sit on.

''Over there.'' He added.

They both sat down on a nearby bench and started to look through the box.
There were a broken hand vacuum cleaner, a slightly ripped scarf with a crane pattern, expired oil bottles, pencils, a purse with cat pictures in it, a wooden cross, and a big animal skull with a bit of dried blood on its teeth.

''I think I found the culprit..'' Said Lucas

''Daang. that is cool. What kind of animal do you think it is?''

''Uhh.. I don't know.. A bear? Maybe a dog?''

''If that's the case, that is one big dog. I mean look at it. It's bigger then our heads.''

''Yeah, anyways I'm going back to Smash mansion. You coming?''

''Nah, saw a stall selling baseball stuff. Gonna hang a little longer. See ya.''

''See ya''

Evening came and Lucas said his farewells the others in Smash mansion and started his trip home.
after a 3 hour long journey, Lucas finally set his feet on the Tazmillan dock, taking in the fresh island air. Walking home he greeted the few villagers who still were up this late, watching the beautiful starry night sky, with a crescent moon. While he enjoyed being at Smash, nothing was better then home.

''WOOF! WOOF!''

''Boney!''

Boney ran full speed into Lucas, knocking him down and licking him all over his face.

''Pffth- Boneey, stop *chuckle* stop licking me *chuckle g-get off.''

Boney got off, tail still wagging like crazy. Lucas sat up.

''It's good to see you too.'' He said while giving Boney a good petting and a hug.

They both got up and headed towards the door. Boney went into his dog house to sleep and Lucas proceeded to carefully open the door, in case his dad was asleep.

''Dad?'' Lucas looked around.

In the dim light from an oil lamp he saw Flint, clearly asleep. Didn't even bother to take his clothes off. Lucas just smiled to himself and quietly prepared for bed, turned off the oil lamp and dozed off to sleep.

The early morning sun arrived and Lucas rose from the bed, stretching and still half asleep. He turned over to see his fathers bed empty, and to no surprise, it was. Flint was always up early to tend the sheep.
Even after less then a day, Lucas settled to his old routines. Getting out of bed, getting dressed, comb and setting his hair, making breakfast for him and his dad. That's the routine he's had for about 3 years, but it wasn't until after he joined smash, he realized how much he actually enjoys his mornings.
The omelettes were finished and Boney started to bark outside. The door opened.

''Dad!'' Lucas exclaimed joyfully.

''Lucas, how are you.'' Flint said, hugging his son

''I'm great! Come, breakfast is ready.''

They both sat down and exchanged what they've been up to, in the time Lucas was gone. Lucas, of course, had the most to tell, but he had hoped his dad had a bit more to say. But then again, he also understood that not much happens here.
There eventually was a pause of silence where Flint noticed something.

''Why do have a band aid on your hand?''

Lucas glanced at his hand.
''Oh. that happened yesterday. Ness took me to a place where people could get stuff, that other people didn't need anymore. I found a box, decided to look through it, Ness surprised me and I got a cut.''

''Why didn't you just heal it?''

''Don't know seemed too much for a small cut.''

''Hmm, let me have a look.''

Lucas sighed mentally, took off the band aid and let him take a look at his hand.

''... It seems pretty red. You sure it ain't infected?''

''Eehh. It is a little itchy..'' Lucas eyed up ''Okay fine. If it makes you happy.''

Lucas placed his other hand on the wound and focused a bit with his PSI. A green warm glow enveloped his entire hand for a second and when it was gone, so was the cut.

''There. All better.''

They both went back to their family time, talking about whatever.

This vacation was going to be great.
