Emma Agreste was no stranger to change. So when her parents announced that she was going to stay with Gabriel Agreste, her grandfather for the summer, she packed her bags with no arguments. She was- of course- silently fuming.

On the Monday morning that her mother's car pulled into the driveway of the huge mansion, Emma hugged her mother. "I love you, mom." She said, with a smile.

Marinette Agreste smiled back. "Have a wonderful time, dear. Don't forget to feed Pumpkin."

Emma's cat, Pumpkin mewed from the bag she was in upon hearing her name. Emma laughed, kissed her mother on the cheek, and walked up to meet her Grandfather on the steps. She waved as she reached him. "Grandfather!" She cried, as he embraced her, leading her into the house.

How are you?" Gabriel asked, as they sat down in the chairs at the long table.

"I'm fine, as usual." Emma replied, pushing her neat blond curtain bangs into place. "What about you, Grandfather?"

Gabriel folded his hands on his lap. "I'm also fine. It's always lonely when you and your family are away, ever since Grandma Natalie died."

Emma patted his shoulder comfortingly. Gabriel grasped it, and smiled kindly. "Let me show you to your room." He led her up to a large room upstairs, decorated in red, her favorite color.

She gasped. "Oh, it's wonderful!"

Gabriel nodded. "I'm glad you like it. You may explore the mansion, and go through your grandma's stuff. They are in the boxes in the attic. Emma hugged her Grandfather.

"Thanks!"

Gabriel left, and Emma flopped down on the bed, her blue eyes sparkling. She set down her bag, put her phone in her pocket, and skipped out of the room and up the stairs to the attic.

Emma pushed the attic door open to reveal the large room filled with tubs and cardboard boxes all marked with names. A box with the name Natalie caught her eye and she knelt beside it, carefully opening it. Inside was a bunch of clothes. She shuffled through it, coming to a stop when she revealed a gray handbag, decorated with shiny buttons across the top. Emma pulled it out, the bag flashing in her memory.

Emma examined it, and carefully slipped it onto her shoulder. She rummaged through the box for a moment more, before standing up and clicking off the light. As she entered her room, she shut the door, set the bag on the bed and sat down cross legged next to it. She unbuttoned it, and flipped it upside down, dumping the contents out. Emma curiously picked up a smooth round ish box-red with black spots- and turned it over slowly.

On the bottom was a button, and she pushed it, causing the box to pop open with a woosh. Inside sat a pair of earrings, with the same pattern as the box. Emma picked them up, and dropped them as a bright light flashed. She blinked, and was shocked to see a little creature floating in the air. Emma yelped and scrambled back, putting distance between her and the thing.

"What are you?!" Emma exclaimed.

The thing swirled around in the air. "I'm Tikki, the kwami of creation! And you are?"

Emma cautiously came forward. "I'm Emma. Emma Agreste."

A look of surprise flashed across Tikki's face, but was gone before Emma could ask about it.

"I'm so happy to meet you!" Tikki squealed. "Let Me explain. See, I'm a kwami, and I allow normal people to become superheroes!"

"Like Ladybug and Chat Noir?" Emma asked.

Tikki nodded earnestly. "Exactly. To transform into Ladybug, you say Tikki, spots on! To use your power, say Lucky Charm. After you use your power you'll have five minutes before you transform back. Does that make sense?"

Emma gave her a thumbs up. "Actually though… I don't have my ears pierced, and I don't really want them to be."

Tikki laughed. "That's ok. Just give me a minute"

Emma watched as Tikki closed her eyes, and a pink mist circled around the earrings. When it faded, in the earrings place was a necklace, still black with five red spots. "Cool!" Emma said, fastening the now black necklace around her neck.

Tikki twirled. "Wonderful. Anyway, do you have anything sweet to eat?"

Emma gained a mischievous smile. "Let's go get some."

Jake Coffaine's P.O.V

Jake Coffaine slid down the banister of the stairs. "Going out, dad, see you later!" He barely heard his dad call back, as he jumped on his bike, and started pedaling down the street to his aunt's store. The bell jingled as he entered, and Juleka looked up with a small smile. She waved, before going back to whatever she was fixing.

Jake looked around the small thrift shop, and headed to the back. There, proper up against the was was a beautiful oak guitar, polished and shiny, with brand-new strings. Jake gingerly picked it up. He brought it to the counter, and pulled out his wallet from his back pocket. He counted out the money, giving it to his aunt and slinging the guitar around his shoulder. "Thanks!" He called over his shoulder.

Juleka mumbled out a reply, and Jake shut the door behind him, kicking up the kickstand of his bike and heading back to his house. He flounced up the stairs to his small attic bedroom. He sat at his desk, grabbing the guitar to look at it. As he set it down, a black ring fell out with a clink. Jake stopped, setting down the guitar and picking up the ring. A green orb came into view, before fading and revealing a small black cat. The cat yawned, and focused on Jake.

"Hey, kid. You got any cheese?"

Jake opened his mouth, thoroughly confused. "I'm sorry?"

The cat crossed it's arms. "The name is Plagg. I'm a kwami. I grant super powers. No, I'm not a genie. Do you have any cheese?"

Jake blinked. He gestured toward the door, before trailing off." You know what? I'll get it." Jake turned on his heel, stalking downstairs to grab the cheese from the fridge. He took a few calming breaths to regain his senses.

"Ok." Jake said to himself. "There's a talking, flying cat in your bedroom. It's not a genie. It likes cheese." He took another breath. "It's name is Plagg." Jake stepped back into his room, and offered the cheese to Plagg. Plagg gave a distasteful look, and took it.

"Alright, name."

Jake coughed. "Jake Coffaine."

Plagg scoffed. "Huh. So facts are I'm a god that gives you the power to turn into Chat Noir. "

Jake opened his mouth, but Plagg cut him off. "No interruptions. Did I not say God?" Anyway, say Plagg, Claws out to transform, Plagg, claws in to detransform. Cataclysm to activate your power. Got it?"

Jake bit his lip. "No-"

Plagg swished his tail. "Good. Ready to transform?"

Jake scratched his head. "Uh, Plagg, claws out?"

A swoosh and a disappearing Plagg later, Jake was in a suit remarkably close to the old Chat Noir. "Wow." Jake said, impressed.

He glanced around. "Plagg?"

And so it begins. So I know I said that unlikely would be next but I was thinking- this would be better. See you soon!
