AN: Quick little complaining fic I thought of last second. Dunno why. Well, here it is.

Cassia sat at the doorstep of their home with her suitcase next to her, waiting for Poof to come out and join her before they made their way to her friend, Bongo's, place for the evening. As she waited and the sun began to set, her grandparents, aunts, and uncles left the house, without saying so much as a goodbye to her. Her aunt Blonda even pretended the whole night like she didn't exist. However, that paled in comparison to what went down with her father's family, namely his parents.

Finally, 10,000 year old Poof came outside with a purple bag in his left hand, his wand tucked in his shorts pocket as she joined his sister.

"Ready?", Cassia asked as she got up from her seat.

"Yeah.", Poof sighed, "We finally got dad to sleep. Man, I don't think I've ever seen him so…"

"Goofy? It was probably the alcohol. It has that kind of effect on people.", Cassia said as the two made their departure, "Probably got it from his mother."

"Cassia? Why was everyone so angry tonight? Did we do something wrong?"

"Not sure. Don't think so. To be honest with you thought, I can't think of anyone that isn't a class A jerk."

"What do you mean? I mean, we're not that bad, right?", Poof asked, his eyes scanning Cassia's more tense body language. "And where's your wand? Aren't you gonna bring it?"

"It's in repairs, remember? You remember when I went over to Grandma and Grandpa Cosma's for Grandpa's birthday, since he just supposedly can't live without us in his life? Well, my want accidentally shrunk Grandma Cosma's head, and oh man, did she curse me the hell out.", Cassia said, a small smirk on her face, "It was kinda funny though. Hearing her tiny little voice squeak at me, like she's some sort of threat."

"Why is she so mean though?"

"Cause she can't put the bottle down. As a matter of fact, that's the problem I have with this family! Almost everyone drinks, an hardly anyone knows when to stop! Don't they know how destructive is it?"

"They probably do, they just don't care."

"Exactly. That's the sad thing. Like, did you see the way Aunt Blonda was acting? It's obvious she cares more about her awards than spending time with us. And Mom's parents did nothing but talking about their business, and barely paid us any attention."

"Well, I mean they gotta put money on the table somehow."

"Grandpa Cosma was being whiny, and Grandma Cosma was being a bully as usual, which is probably why dad got so wasted this evening. At this point, I'm not sure if I blame him."

"Come on Cassia, Papa Cosmo's trying his best.."

"Yeah but he's so annoying about it. He thinks he's so much better than everyone just because he doesn't drink."

"I really don't think he thinks that. You're just..mad.."

"Ugh..whatever. I'll take his narcissism any day over Mama Cosma's violent tendencies. Swear, I'm lucky to have gotten out of that alive.", Cassia sighed, "Look, I don't hate anyone, but it seems like no matter what we do and no matter what we're celebrating, our family always has a tendency to ruin it. Man, I'm sorry to vent off to you like that, but to be honest, you're the only good thing that came out of being in this family. You're the only person I can honestly talk to without feeling judged or put down.."

"Yeah well..", Poof muttered, "I-I'm sure dad's behavior was a slip up tonight, and he'll probably feel bad about it in the morning. As for everyone else, well..we don't see as often anyways. I really don't think yo should be too hard on them. They're just people anyways."

"I guess so. L-Let's just get to Bongo's.", the two kept making their way down the road, to the street behind their when they heard Papa Cosmo's voice call out behind her. Cassia sighed as she held an arm out to stop Poof, both of them turning around to him huffing and puffing.

"O-Oh my..huff…there you two are. I've…been worried…huff..sick.", he panted, dragging his hands down to his knees. Cassia rolled her eyes.

"Heh, you'd be the first.'

"W-Well, your mom said you two could come with me for the evening. Mama Cosma's not coming home this evening and I-I thought well…you two might like a warm place to stay."

"We were already going to Bongo's though."

"I-I know sweetheart, I know. I-It's just..I really think it'd be better if you stayed with family. Please? It'll just be for tonight?"

"Do we HAVE to?", Cassia groaned, before Poof nudged her, "Ah! Ok then, I guess we'll go. Just let me text Bongo."

"Oh, I know you're upset sweetheart, I'm sorry. I'm really sorry on behalf on everyone. I.."

"Please don't' apologize for them. I want them to apologize to us.", Cassia sighed, before putting her phone back in her pocket.

"W-W-Well I…uhm…"

"Sorry Papa. She's just…kinda upset, that's all.", Poof laughed awkwardly as Papa Cosmo motioned for the two kids to get closer, before pulling his wand out and poofing them to their place, giving them both fresh, warm blankets and some milk before tucking them both in and turning out the lights.
