"Do you think this will work?"
"I don't know. It might, it might not."
It was dark in the room so it was hard for Luann to see the faces of the scientists. All she knew was they were going to do something to her.
"If it does work, we might be able to bring back the humans!" The voice sounded like a female.
"Yup, I just need you to plug it in." That voice was a male. By the sound of it, the female was the lab assistant.
Luann could only see darkness. She moved her arm. It moved slowly, as if she was under water. Yet, she could breathe just fine. Suddenly, the area around her started to glow blue. She was floating in place in a blue liquid that was inside a giant tube made of glass. There were two Inklings standing in front of the tube. One was a female with short hair put up in a bun. She was wearing a lab coat. The other was a male, who was also wearing a lab coat, with medium-length tentacles in a row of three that was brushed back. The female Inkling had a pencil in her bun that was keeping it up. Her eyes were blue and she was wearing full-moon glasses. She was also wearing a pair of punk whites. Under her lab coat was a school jersey. The male Inkling was wearing a pair of fake contacts, and a pair of punk yellows. Under his lab coat was a Splatfest tee replica. His eyes and ink color were yellow as well. The girl's ink color was orange.
"Hello, we can see you now." The male smiled.
Luann looked down at her hands. Then she looked at her feet. She wasn't wearing any shoes, but there was a bracelet around her ankle. Luann started to feel a bit dizzy.
"Sir, it seems to be working." The female was looking at a small screen that had words on it.
Luann fainted.
