All of Olivia Benson's life since she was 6 years old, she knew that she was different from the other kids. As she grew up she found out how her mother really felt about her. At 12 years old, Olivia was told about her father and how he raped her mother, Serena Benson. This caused Serena to start drinking and abusing little Olivia. After that all Liv could think about was becoming a police officer so that she can help others like her mom get justice. In college, Olivia started experimenting her sexuality by having sex with both men and women. However, the knowledge about her mothers past pushed her towards favoring women. Then in 2006, Olivia met the FBI agent while undercover in Oregon. He was always flirting with her and it wasn't unwanted, but Liv knew that he didn't have a chance at getting into her pants. This was something she did not reveal to him since he seemed harmless. In 2009 she found out that the man was a dick and was only flirting with her to get information on how far they were in the investigation that they had been working with the FBI. He was playing her the entire time that she was working with the rest of the SVU squad. It didn't take long for Benson to get over his sorry ass. Now in 2011 all thoughts of the man were nonexistent in her mind. No one outside of the Special Victims Unit in New York, Manhattan and her friends at the DA's office knows that Olivia Benson is a lesbian. Olivia is content with her life just the way it is. She is the Captain of the Special Victims Unit, has one of the highest closure rates for a unit, and has amazing friends/colleagues. To top it all off, she just recently finalized paperwork to adopt the beautiful baby boy, named Noah. He was found by her and Detective Rollins after a tip of a sex trafficking ring that happened to have another boy and two girls. Benson never imagined that she would have a son and be this successful in her career. Olivia is pulled out of her thoughts by a 7 year old running and crashing into her. "Noah what are you doing? I thought I told you to get ready for school?" Noah heaved a big sigh and said, "I am ready mom." "Well then I guess we better get going or you're going to be late." Noah agreed eagerly and they both left the apartment to go to school and then work. The time was 8:15 am when Benson arrived at the precinct.

264.4 miles away in Quantico, Virginia, BAU Unit Chief Emily Prentiss is already to go to work by 6 o'clock. Prentiss is 41 years old and has never been married or had any kids. Her entire life has been about her career within the FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit or the BAU. After she joined, Emily learned that taking the scenic route through life was sometimes a faster way to the top than the lone wolf route. So for the past 5 and a half years or so, I have been taking a more leisurely way to the top of the FBI. This was temporarily stopped when I was put in WitSec when my past came to light when I worked for the CIA. Ian Doyle was a career criminal with ties to the mob and a lot of very very bad people. He tried to kill me and almost succeeded which was why she went into the program and returned after he was killed. There was some tension from the team; specifically Spencer and Derek who were overtly pissed about the WitSec news. Penelope was just happy that I was back, and Derek eventually forgave me. Spencer was a lot harder to get through since Aaron and JJ both knew of my fake death status. He felt betrayed especially by JJ who he came to for support while I was gone. After talking to him about how he lost one friend and I lost six, he slowly forgave her and the others. Prentiss is brought back to reality by someone calling her name. Emily turns around and away from the window to see Spencer standing in the doorway of her office. "Hey Reid, what's up?" "We got a new case." Getting up from her chair, Prentiss walked with Spencer to the conference room where Garcia and the rest of the team were waiting. "Alright my crime solving hero's we got a doozy. The past month New York's Manhattan's Special Victims Unit has been tracking a serial rapist and murderer who is very skilled in leaving no trace evidence or any evidence for that matter." Pulling up the photos of the previous 4 victims. "First victim is Angela Selva, 37 and a UPS worker from the lower west side. Second victim is Sarah Miller, 43, a social worker for Child Services located in Queens. Third victim is Bonnie Dooley, 40, an NYPD police officer who was supposed to promoted to 2nd grade detective this year and lives in Manhattan. And lastly, Monica Gilmore, 39, a hotel maid working at The Roosevelt and also lives in Manhattan. All four were raped, strangled, and found near dumpsters one week apart." Swiping through the crime scene photos, Hotch states, "Well this guy creaky sees these women as trash and doesn't care how or who finds them and when." "Yeah, but look how they're positioned, it's like he wanted them to feel safe." Rossi looks to Garcia and questions as to why the BAU is requested to help on this case. Before answering Dave's question, Prentiss speaks up, "Although there are 4 murder victims, last night a fifth woman was attacked, but was able to fight him off. She was visiting family in Manhattan when she was attacked by an unknown assailant. Her name's Sasha Breyer, age 37, a recent FBI agent assigned to the White-Collar task force." "Is she okay?" Morgan asks. "Agent Breyer has a severe concussion, broken ribs, and various other injuries, but is stable at Mercy." "Emily replies. Hotch senses there's something that Em isn't saying, choosing to not wait for the others to leave, he questions it now. "What aren't you saying?" Prentiss looks at Hotch with a stern look, but knowing that it would come up at some point in the investigation, she concedes. "The unsub's attacks and not leaving any evidence behind at the scenes suggest we're either dealing with someone who knows how to leave no trace of himself or someone with intimate knowledge of police tactics." "You're saying we could be looking for a cop." JJ says it as more of a statement and less of a question. Prentiss just nods her head and concludes with, "We'll continue the briefing on the jet. Wheels up in 20."
