Here's a little back story for those that are interested. We all know that animals can be owned like cats and dogs and even birds. There are also those certain people that prefer something a little more exotic like tigers and lions. The more exotic the animal; the pricier the animal would cost.
Well, not long ago maybe a hundred years or so it was discovered that some of these animals could change form and become like a human. They kept some of the traits from the animal like ears, tail, claws, you know those kinds of things, but for the most part they functioned just like a normal person would.
Once word got out about these beings people wanted them. The problem was that they were hard to find amongst the animals so a machine was created that could tell if it was an animal or not. This meant that they were no longer safe and once caught they could be bought just like any other animal. These beings were sold at a very high amount and as such those that could afford the price were above the law; so to speak.
These people could do whatever they wanted and no one would bat an eye. This angered many as it soon became apparent that some of these beings were being abused and there was no one to stop the abuse. People fought for these beings and soon laws were put in place that could help the ones being abused.
Not long after these laws were put in place communities for these beings were set up and they were given rights. They were allowed to go to school and able to have jobs. There were still those people out there that were prejudice towards these beings, but that was to be expected. This is the history that we know and live with everyday.
