Ed welcomes a new Santa
(detailed story coming with few chapters, this will have conversations of abuse, child abandonment, but also adoption, elves, and whole lot of the north pole and lot of holidays mixed with Christmas, this is Christmas story/movie characters after all.)
Way up north, surrounded by ice and snow, the first ever Santa prepares for his flight. joining him is his chief elf, Ed. this Santa has been at the job for over 500 years, and Ed has been by his side ever Christmas eve for over 200 of them.
Ed had been a loyal chief elf for a long time, he didn't always start as a elf.
he was born up at the north pole on Jan 2st, to a head elf and a bakery elf. he did elf school, he was a typical kid. but growing up around Christmas all the time, the outside world and its people behavior can be complicated.
there is a kind of risk growing up north, being oblivious to people who DONT believe in Santa. he never really had to go outside the north pole.
one year, he graduated and became elf, working with the others, making and crafting toys, wrapping and inventing. his brother and him spent plenty of time together creating new ideas. his name was Dr Fernando. so inventing could say was in the family.
one day Santa came to him. "look ED, i could really use your help. i think you make a very good chief elf, i think you do well at the job."
one Christmas Santa nearly had bad fall, so, he choice it was needed, to write a Claus. he got ahold of father time and mother nature. they made it official. the card was simple, but everything needed was in place. and several years later, he fell. it was his job, trained by Santa himself to handle it, a new Santa.
ED was there for new Santa and his young child, Bernard. when he moved with his dad, he became Claus to. when he was NOT doing school Bernard followed Ed around the north. learning more about the job then most his age.
he was a adventurous and curious child, he help ED when ever he found opportunity. over time a elf working like he use to. then one day he saw him become #3 that Christmas was not the best year to become #3 you see that year, he ran into a issue, dynamiting. this was a very big issue. it was reeking havoc up north.
so Santa told Ed exactly where the oil was, and sent him to talk to the project manager. it was not first time he left, he had to go after and bring back new Santa's every time. it was not smooth. and he ended up bringing the mans family up north to see Santa. and after good talk with him it see sorted. until they got back home. it took a while, the kids snuck off, there mother had to find them, Santa saved them. Christmas eve returned home.
after oil was found where the originally planed and Santa said. everything was sorted at last, north pole was safe and Christmas could go on without issue. Bernard didn't always handle the dynamiting as calmly as he liked but, then again no one did.
the following years more, they had to "lower" the north underground. to many sightings and to open, sure the huge ice wall did wonders, but from the sky, it was starting to not work as well as it once did. so, it became the most hid ever could. then Santa feel off the roof 2 years later.
