Steve sucked in a startled breath. Harry Strauss had been a notorious hitman in New York, a member of Murder, Inc., infamous for his brutality.
"I saw him coming out of Joey's place that night. When I was going up the stoop, he looked back from the corner and saw me going in. Bastard waved." Bucky grimaced. "He would've killed me, you and everyone we knew if I'd talked."
