With a muffled curse, Sam turned the television back on and surfed the bazillion available channels until he found another news report. According to the news anchor, the Chinese weren't accusing anyone of the attempted assassination, yet, but the anchor was doing plenty of speculating on her own.
As they watched, she was handed a piece of paper from off-camera. The woman scanned it and then looked back at the camera.
"We've just received word that Premier Zhang has died from his injuries."
She looked solemnly into the camera for another moment and then moved on to her next story.
