Tanjiro made Kanao feel things she never had before every time he looked into her eyes with his piercing red eyes unbeknownst to him makes her body heat up and her the beat of her heart to fill her ears. She had slain demons gone through the horror that was final selection had been beaten and bruised and lost those closest to her. Yet none of that had at least not yet had such an emotional impact on her as much as those red eyes.
"Is there something wrong Kanao-Chan?" Tanjiro finally asks tilting his head to the side a bit. She suddenly realizes it must be to Tanjiro that she had simply walked up to him and just stood and stared into his eyes, especially since this exact interaction had happened plenty of times over the past few days since he had returned from his mission. And each time Tanjiro patiently sat there waiting for Kanao to speak and she would eventually just sit down with him and let the beat of her heart and Tanjiro's presence comfort her anxiety. Today was no different in the fact she simply sat down beside him staring off into the night sky as he continued doing nothing in particular. What was different however was how Tanjiro slid his hand onto her own causing her to jump slightly. Looking to Tanjiro he simply smiled as his eyes softened and Kanao could only look away in embarrassment. But even looking away she can never forget those darn red eyes.
