Rountree was at work, waiting for Callen to give him the okay to go home. He missed his wife and daughter. When he finally did get home, he unlocked the door and saw Fatima sitting on the floor, playing with their little girl. She saw him come in, and she got up and hugged him. "Missed you today," she said, giving him a look that still made him melt after 10 years.

"Daddy!" the little girl squealed, attacking him with hugs. Rountree picked her up amd planted a kiss on her head.

"I missed my girls today," he said, running his fingers through Fatima's hair.

"We missed you too Daddy. Mommy wouldn't let me FaceTime you," the little girl said softly.

"Aww, Sarima, Daddy wouldn't have been able to FaceTime today. Daddy had to work, remember?" Fatima said gently as they curled up in a pile on the couch

"I think I'm going to hire a babysitter and let Sarima het comfortable with her before I leave her for hours to days on end. I'm going to miss this little one, but I can't wait to get back to work," Fatima whispered after Sarima fell asleep.

"I know, baby. I miss having you as a partner too," Rountree whispered back. Fatima put her head on his chest and started dozing off.
