Ellie was sitting in the hospital waiting room waiting on news about Nick whilst scrolling through her contacts when his name popped up her longtime mentor and friend - Tony so she hit call.
"Hey Ellie B this is a surprise". Tony says through the phone line.
"Hey yeah sorry if nows not a good time". Ellie responds.
"No nows fine I was actually going to call you to thank you for bringing Ziva back to Tali and I". Tony replies through the line.
"Happy to help anything for you. Anyway how's she settling in?". Ellie tells and questions him with concern about Ziva.
"She's adjusting it's a big adjustment for all of us". Tony tells her.
"I bet". She replies.
"I know you Ellie you didn't call to check in about Ziva". Tony replies and the pair chuckle through the line first time Ellie had chuckled or laughed all day since the accident.
"You are kinda right you and Ziva are kinda the reason I called". Ellie informs her friend.
"Ok I'm intrigued". Tony tells her.
"I was involved in a hit and run today". Ellie informs him of some of the morning events.
"You ok?". Tony questions concerned.
"Yeah thanks to Nick". Ellie replies.
"Nick the guy that Ziva let defeat her in a fight". Tony questions.
"The one and only. How much did she tell you about him?". Ellie confirms and asks.
"Only that he is a good agent and gave him advice before she left DC". Tony fills her in.
"Well that is why I'm calling I need some advice about Nick". Ellie informs him.
"Ok shoot". Tony tells her.
"So because of him saving me he is in a coma and we don't know if or when he will wake up and I can't stop thinking". Ellie tells Tony.
"Oh my god and thinking about what?". Tony says shocked and asks her.
"What if he dies and I didn't tell him how I feel". Ellie replies through the line.
"You need to tell him Ellie. Take the chance you have my god if I took that chance with Ziva earlier maybe things would be different. I am just thankful we have a second chance now". Tony tells her giving her some needed advice based on his experience.
"Ok thank you Tony". Ellie replies.
"No probs call me anytime". Tony tells his friend.
"I will Bye". Ellie replies.
"Bye". Tony says and Ellie hangs up the call as the nurse walks over.
