Explanations in the story.

Gears in Motion.

In an office, with pictures of popular shows decorating the walls, a lone figure sat at his desk watching the show on his big screen TV. The person in questions wore a brown robe with a hood covering his entire body, excluding his black boots, black gloves, and the black pants not hidden under his robe. On his left breast was a bold, red 'H' for Hollywood.

"And there goes the Ice Dancer" said the man "About time. Hmm. Oh, hello beings of the real world. I'm sure you have many questions, predictable and odd alike. Who am I? What's this all about? Where's Chris and the cast? We'll get to that, but I must explain a few things first" said the man as he rose out of his chair.

"First off, I am Rail. Story wise, I'm the top producer in-charge of green lighting all the reality shows that air in this fictional universe. Total Drama, Celebrity Manhunt, and currently the Ridonculous Race. Out of this Universe, I am a cosmic being made for the sole purpose of expressing the writer's presence in a story that said writer is interested in. You might notice similar beings in other works. But that's enough advertising. And don't worry. I'm not going to do any stunts or antics that write me off as a Gary Sue or a boring all powerful OC that tortures the characters in the story. You won't see me after this chapter in the main story"

"Now story wise, you might have notice that this is a Total Drama is taken into the world of Pokemon to compete story. This popular trend was started beforehand by several writers, including the inspiration to the original story, Total Drama Pokemon Adventure by Xebla. You might have noticed I said original story. That is because the writer of this story originally made a story similar to Pokemon Adventure after it was discovered that the story was discontinued. It was called Total Drama Pokemon Region. The story has collected over 500 reviews even though it only had five chapters, the last of which was updated on October 14, 2014, which was seven years ago. Writer's block will do that to you. But you must understand, writers on this site all over have personal lives that don't benefit or rely off this fan site. They have school, college, work, and family matters that outweigh the demands of readers"

"But I am happy to announce that the writer of this story will attempt a reboot of his original story" said Rail as he waved his arms in marvelous fashion "First off, will this story be different? Yes. The original story only covered the first six generations of Pokemon. This one will have the current eight. And the contestants were only the original cast and the Revenge Cast. This one will include the Pahkitew Island cast and several Ridonculous Race guest stars to fill out some holes. The original story will also include a scene where I drill Chris for being a cruddy host, inspired by the scene in Total Drama Pokemon Exploration by KarmicWarlord, another writer who wrote a story based off Pokemon Adventure. Remember kids, always give credit where it's due. And if KarmicWarlord is reading, thanks for taking the time to read and wish us luck as we make this story"

"Now as we all know, we must know the results of the previous season winners so as to know where the story stands. The previous winners were Owen in Island, Duncan in Action, Heather in World Tour, Cameron in Revenge, Shawn in Pahkitew, and the Surfers in the Ridonculous Race. What? Who won in All Stars? In this Universe, I wouldn't know, because All Stars never happened in this Universe. The writer, and by that extension myself, detested the All Star series. Between character derailment, no pun intended, unneeded cast abuse, poor choices for teams, and unnecessary story lines, the series is universally unliked. So I made an exception to my word and used my out of story powers to erase the events of All Stars. Now I know what you're thinking. Won't excluding an entire season affect the stories after it? The answer, no. I noticed that there weren't that many call backs to All Stars in Pahkitew Island or the Ridonculous Race. It helps that none of the characters competing in All Stars never made an appearance after All Stars. So think along this line. Watch the first clip in All Stars were Chef sees Chris is Prison, skip straight to Pahkitew Island, cut out the scene that explains what happened to the original island, and you're all good for this story"

"Now I know you all still have a lot of questions, but Chris and Chef are on their way and I have to get into character. I can't make 4th wall breaks then, so I won't talk to you for a while"

"Now, Enjoy the show"

.

"Man, I can't believe this" said Chris to Chef as they stood in the elevator, Chris holding his phone to Chef's face. "Geoff and this other dude are actually in the final two on this show"

"So?" asked an uninterested Chef.

"So Geoff and anyone remotely like Geoff aren't final two material" said Chris as he grinned "Or host material for that matter"

"Are you still sore about the Aftermath thing?" asked Chef "We haven't done anything like that since season 3"

"Whatever" said Chris as he pocketed his phone "Let's just see what the big boss wants anyway"

"Why did he call us anyway?" asked Chef as he raised an eyebrow.

"First off, he called me" said Chris "You're just here to back me up"

"Oh sure" said a grumpy Chef as he rolled his eyes.

"And second, it's obvious he wants to talk about going over another season" said Chris with a cocky smile "After all, no one else gets ratings like me"

The elevator stopped as the door opened, Chris and Chef walking out into the the Top Producer's office.

"Mister Rail" said Chris before taking in the room. The man himself was sitting at his desk watching the TV screen on the other side of the room, facing away from Chris and Chef"

"And hello finale" said Rail as he watched Don sign off as Geoff and Brody scrambled around with their money.

"Sir?" asked Chris.

"And there goes my happy vibe" said Rail as he spun his chair to face Chris and Chef "I'm glad you came Chris"

"It doesn't sound like it?" said Chris nervously. Chris has talked with the man in charge several times, but this would be his second time face to face. He wore the same robe on the day he told Chris he was hosting Total Drama Island. That same hood that hid is face in shadows and told nothing about his mood.

"Well things are always complicated McLean" said Rail as he grabbed a stress ball and started squeezing it. "Do you know why I called you?"

"I assume you wanted the host with the most to make another great season of the best show ever" said Chris with a narcissistic smile.

"Am I"

"...Sir?" asked Chris again, this time more wearily.

"Let's get to the point McLean" said Rail as he got out of his chair, stress ball still in hand "I hate your personality"

"Oh" said a bewildered Chris "Well-"

"No no no" said Rail as he hushed Chris with his free hand "Don't speak"

Chris kept quiet. There was always certain moments where it felt like Chris was talking to something more powerful whenever these two talked over the phone. Hearing it in person was more terrifying.

"Let's start this rant at the beginning" said Rail as he walked over to the window of his office, the entire wall acting as a window. "At Total Drama Island. I'll be honest. That was the best show I've ever seen in a good long while. Good plot, good cast, and drama that you could cut with a butter knife. And you, you were great. You were charming yet devious, rude yet somewhat caring. And you made life so rough for your cast. The Awakeathon, Phobia Factor, such great challenges"

Chris started to smile a bit, praise always being his greatest joy.

"Then, you made Total Drama Action after a misleading goose hunt finale. Not as great, but still entertaining. True there was the matter of Owen's jaw breaking, the constant talks with Courtney's lawyers, and the legal battles with branding companies over certain catches. But it was nothing to be concerned about. Accidents and legal bull is all part of the job"

Chris didn't notice that the slight happy tone was gone from Rail's voice.

"And how do you continue off from movie acting? You gave us a good answer. A World Tour. A Total Drama World Tour. Exciting sites, cultural facts, two new cast members, and singing. Who doesn't love singing? But this is where my jollies turn sour. Breaking our own rules for the sake of praise and drama. You literally threw one of my interns off a plane just for the sake of stirring up drama between Duncan and those two girls. And booting off a cast member for your own reason. Then there's all the travel rules you broke and the laws you ignored and disrespected. Having your pet brute drive a plane without a license, mocking cultures not our own, abandoning members in foreign countries that caused and cost continental outcry. I'm still apologizing for Bridgette landing on the cake of an important Russian figure. And of course the subject of Ezekiel becoming a literal feral child is still one of our greatest shames"

Chris and Chef started sweating nervously, noticing Rail squeezing his stress ball faster and stronger.

"And when it came time for a fourth season, I was horrified when you gave me the memo for Revenge of the Island. A return to a starting point is one thing. But turning an island which is mine by legal rights into a mutant wasteland is a totally different matter. Especially when you told me that the island had been a toxic wasteland since day one of World Tour. I was mad, but something inside of me decided to take a chance and let you continue your game on the condition of taking responsibility. What a fool I was. I was actually excited when you introduced the new cast, but what did that matter when you didn't even treat them like humans. Toxic marshmallows, mutant sharks with vendettas, cruel use of contracts to abuse the old cast, and don't even get me started on your treatment of that Dakota girl. If it wasn't for the fact that the girl and her boyfriend liked her new look, we would be buried into the ground by lawyers!"

Chris started to shake a bit, the rise in tone throwing him off.

"So when the law caught up to you, I let you rot in prison as my island was being cleaned. An entire year to clear your head and hope you change while I fix your messes and please the public you ticked off! So when I okayed another season, I gave you a new island, a new cast, and even got you paroled. Mutating an entire island and torturing children and I still parole you. And how do you thank me? Constantly breaking my new man made island! Forcing made up rules on cast for personal reasons! And I think your little team breaking stunt at the finale of that show was the perfect cherry on top! Oh, and how can I forget the ordeal with that Scarlet girl taking control of the island from you and your solution to do nothing as she threatened to kill off several KIDS!"

POP!

Chris and Chef jolted backwards when the stress ball in Rail's hand popped loudly.

Rail was silent for several seconds before taking in a deep breath.

"I was tempted to throw you back in prison after Pahkitew Island, but I decided to just put you on probation. And that brings us to now" said Rail as he turned back to Chris.

"W-well sir" said Chris "I assure you, if you get me another season, we can start preparations for my first pitch for last season. Total! Drama! All-"

"Stars is what you'll be seeing if you finish that sentence" interrupted Rail. "For reasons that are my own, I know what would happen if I let you have your Heroes vs Villains game. Poor and lackluster choices for the hero team, the usual out of line abuse towards cast, and breaking rules and overlooking rule breaking that will lead to the collapse of my island"

"But sir, I-"

"Let me make this clear McLean" started Rail as he gripped Chris's shoulders tightly "I will never let you step foot on Camp Wawanakwa as long as I stand"

Chris gulped, then nodded his head. Rail released him as he stepped back towards his TV.

"As you might have noticed when you walked in, I was watching the finale of the Ridonculous Race. What a great show. It was nice seeing reasonable heads in charge for once"

"We-well sir" started Chris "If you let me and my team pool together, we-"

"Oh" interrupted Rail once again "By team, do you mean the ethics committee and the lower level producers that you pay off to have your way? I already fired them. Any person you talk to behind my back will be clean and fair. No bribery. No blackmail. No connections. Wish makes me wonder what you're worth"

This was where Chris broke. He suddenly got on his knees as he clung to Rail's legs as he started weeping.

"Please don't fire me! I can't survive in the world without celebrity status! I just can't!" cried Chris.

Rail suddenly grasped Chris by the cheeks with his left hand and brought Chris up to eye level, Chris looking into the shadows of Rail's hood.

"Act with some dignity" said Rail "I'm not gonna fire you. Yet"

Rail then pushed Chris backwards into Chef as the large man grabbed Chris and kept him up.

"Y-you're not?" asked a scared Chris.

"No" said Rail "You see, while you were on your probation vacation, I was contacted outside America and was made an interesting offer"

"An offer for what?" asked Chef.

"The new season of Total Drama"

Chris widen his eyes as a trace of a smile formed "You mean-"

"Yes, I'm giving you one more chance" said Rail "But if you cause another public outcry, to hell with contracts, I will throw you into a worst prison than the one you were already in. One that guarantees certain accidents!"

Chris gulped again "G-got it"

"But what's the theme for this show?" asked Chef.

"Excellent question lackey" said Rail "Tell me, what do you two know of Pokemon?"

"Pokewhat?" asked Chef.

"I thought so" said Rail "Pokemon is a children's video game from Japan. It's quite popular in America and it just so happens our show is popular in Japan. So I get a call from members of the Pokemon Incorporate and I'm pitched with an incredible proposal. Have our cast play Pokemon"

"You think people would watch a show about kids playing video games?" asked Chef.

"Why not? It works well with Overwatch" said Rail "But there not gonna play video games. There going to be in video games"

"Say what?" asked Chris.

"Science has come a long way gentlemen" said Rail "And this is a deal of a lifetime. Total Drama avoids jumping the shark, Pokemon makes another breakthrough in American culture, science makes a leap forward, and you avoid jail time. Everybody wins"

"Okay" said Chris "So who's competing?"

"72 Contestants"

Chris and Chef widen there eyes.

"Um sir, if I'm correct. That would mean everyone is coming back" said Chris.

"Yep" said Rail.

"Hang on" said Chef as he mulled over it "We only had 52 people on this show. We're 20 short"

"21" said Rail "We have decided to not include Blaineley"

"But where do we get 21 more contestants?" asked Chris.

"Luckily" said Rail "A few invites have already been sent out to the Ridonculous Race cast"

"Wait. You want me to use people from a different show on mine?" asked Chris.

"Why not?" said Rail "The Ridonculous Race is pretty much Total Drama's sister show. And several of your contestants are on that show. Geoff even won"

"Okay" said Chris, trying to see if he forgot anything "So when does the show start?"

"Three months from now"

"That soon?!" shouted Chris.

"Don't panic McLean" said Rail "All you have to do is learn how Pokemon works and keep your tyrant self to yourself. Everything else will be on my end. I already sent out several invites to contestants like Noah and Cody. I already got some ready to play. But for now, there's three months of planning to do. Be at Pahkitew Island three months from now, read over the memo for this season" Rail handed Chris a folder "Catch up on the times, and get your A game on"

"Yes sir" said Chris as he saluted nervously.

"And if I hear any plays for higher ratings or any mistreatment of any kind to your floating timeline of a cast or your interns, and I will feed you to the wolves"

"G-got it" said Chris.

"You're both dismissed" said Rail.

"Okay!" said Chris as he and Chef headed back to the elevator. As soon as the elevator door closed, Rail sighed and went back to his desk. He picked up a phone and dialed a number, waiting a few seconds before speaking.

"Hello? It's me... Yes it's all in progress... I wish... Well get everything ready soon. Okay. Bye"

Rail put down his phone as he sat back down at his desk. He was so focused on Chris that he didn't even noticed he paused on the Ridonculous Race. It wasn't anything important. It was literally paused on the split second between the sign off and the end credits.

"One show ends, another rises"

.

And scene.

It feels good to be writing again. And Total Drama/Pokemon crossovers are always unique. It's been awhile since I read or wrote any stories. I hope everyone is staying healthy.

If anyone is ticked off that I didn't include All Stars, well too bad. Even now I can barely tolerate it.

Now for things to know.

Characters with disfigurements and transformations like Dave, Alejandro, Ezekiel and Dakota will be restored to normal, though Ezekiel and Dakota will have traces of their former selves.

I'm going to try to keep things close to my original story, but also make changes I think appropriate.

Couples will be brought up next chapter.

And everyone is still the same age. The joys of a floating timeline series.

And to the readers themselves.

Review all you like and give me feedback and ideas.

Don't give mad if I don't update in a while. I have a life outside of writing just like the rest of you and it's frankly more important. I know no one wants to see those kind of things said when they read, but it's the truth.

And keep the Review section clean. Send any criticisms, but don't swear over the top or threaten to kill me. Be adults. Or Teens. Or whatever age you are when you read.

Next Chapter, The contestants arrive back on Pahkitew Island and catch up.

REVIEW LIKE HELL!
