Mr. Johnson Orders Chinese Take-Out
A Sesame Street Story
One day, Mr. Johnson, or "Fat Blue" as most people called him, was at his home at Number 14 Sesame Street. That day, he decided to call Xing Yang's Finest Chinese Foods and Meals, a Chinese Restaurant in the nearby neighborhood. On the phone, he ordered Kung Pao Chicken, a delicious spicy dish made with obviously chicken. It was also made with peanuts, vegetables, and for the spicy part, chili peppers. Mr. Johnson was eager to try it.
When someone knocked at the door fifteen minutes later, Mr. Johnson opened the door. He found nothing but Grover, his waiter who normally works at Charlie's Restaurant.
"Oh, no! It's you! YOU'RE the guy that works over at Charlie's Restaurant!" Mr. Johnson said.
"I am." Grover said. "And here is your Kung Pao Chicken, sir!"
"That's not Kung Pao Chicken!" Mr. Johnson hollered. "That's Kung-Fu Chicken! That's basically chicken nuggets that look like kung-fu!"
"Oh, I am so, sorry sir." Grover said. "But, not to worry. You can always order our finest Chinese rice instead."
"I don't want rice!" Mr. Johnson hollered.
"Why? It's good for you, and it give you strong muscles too." Grover explained.
"I know that! Now I want the Kung Pao Chicken!" Mr. Johnson said. Grover also suggested that his favorite customer order Chinese Noodles. Mr. Johnson rejected that too.
"I am only trying to be helpful, sir!" Grover said. Mr. Johnson groaned.
"That does it!" I'm going to the restaurant myself and telling the manager what I want to eat!" Mr. Johnson said.
"Oh good! Let us go together, and I shall serve you your dinner." Grover said.
"UGH!" Mr. Johnson groaned as he dropped to the floor. And so, Mr. Johnson went to the restaurant to order is food. Unfortunately for him, he did not live happily ever after as he did not get what he wanted. Grover just did not take his proper request.
