Chapter 1: New Heroes
40 year old Takanuva, Toa Mistika of Light (who has recently been healed from and freed from his former shadow powers) and 40 year old Mikunuva, Toa Mistika of Love (who was healed from her former Lust powers by her now deceased older sisters and fellow 2 female Toa Mistika, Carolyn and Andrea), the last 2 remaining Toa Mistika were collecting Toa Crystals when two dark hunters, the now mutated and evil Gali and Tahu spotted them. "the last 2 Toa Mistika there they are!" Yelled Dark Hunter Gali. Dark Hunter Tahu and Dark Hunter Gali shot lasers at Mikunuva and Takanuva, but both of them escaped the lasers with their lives, and just in time.
and so, Toa Takanuva and Mikunuva began their quest to give the Toa Crystals to each chosen Matoran from each blended region of Saki Nui. Mikunuva and Takanuva first went to Mi-Ta-Saki, where they found a Mi-Matoran-Ta-Matoran half breed 20 year old male named Tahu II. "What...Aunt Mikunuva, Uncle Takanuva, what the hell are you two doing here?" Said Tahu II. "no time to explain, young Tahu, my nephew." Said Mikunuva. "indeed, we're counting on your undeniable strength, Tahu II." Said Takanuva, giving Tahu II the Toa Crystal of Fire and Friendship before leaving with Mikunuva.
Takanuva and Mikunuva eventually gave some of the other Toa Crystals to Balla, Onua Jr, Kopaka Jr, Akua, and their niece, Penelope. Mikunuva and Takanuva went back to their home, the castle of Av-Ai Koro where Ava, and her crush, Jaller Jr were hanging out upstairs in her bedroom. Confronted Takanuva. Tahu and Gali attacked and eventually, kidnapped Takanuva. "i should've stopped them..." Sobbed Ava. "don't worry, my little Ava, we'll get your father back." Said Mikunuva, comforting Ava.
later, Ava, Bella, Tahu II, Penelope, Jaller Jr, Kopaka Jr and Onua Jr arrived at the sacred Toa Temple of Av-Ai-Koro and asked each other, "what now?" "you must prove yourselves worthy Toa, and fear not, the Great Spirit will guide you to save the world in ways you could not imagine." Said Mikunuva. Ava and her fellow Matroran suddenly transformed into the long awaited Toa Spira. "amazing." Said Ava happily.
"are we Toa?" Asked Akua. "if we appear to be Toa heroes, then we are Toa heroes!" Squealed Tahu II. "I've always wanted to use a deadly element prank kit made for fighting evil!" Said Bella, daughter of Hahli and Stuart.
"now, this flame shooting gun is a Toa tool." Said Jaller Jr. "guys, it's about honoring the Great Spirit, a.k.a, Ava's grandfather." Said Penelope. "Penny is right, you saw your father last, right?" Asked Onua Jr. "yes, why?" Said Ava. "what did he say about what we could expect?" Asked Kopaka Jr.
"he told me and Jaller Jr that the world needs our help, then the dark hunters took him away, it was because of me..." Said Ava sadly. "that's sad..."
