Gwen's P.O.V.

Hope's Peak High School. I couldn't believe it. I was going to be enrolled here. It was set in the middle of scenic Tokyo, but the long trip was worth it! I looked up and saw the massive campus. I heard this place was government-funded, so there were a lot of luxuries included. All I had to do was step inside.

The moment I stepped pass the gate, everything went black. Life as I knew it was over.

Zoey's P.O.V.

Wow! I can't believe it! I'm going to the Hope's Peak High School! I heard they enroll the best of the best, from athletes to academics. I was very lucky to get in here. I looked up at the huge building. It looked so fancy! I took a step onto the campus when everything went black. Apparently, luck had nothing to do with me coming here, at least not the good kind. And I thought the stuff here would be debate and sports, but the only class taught here was on despair.

Gwen's P.O.V.

I moaned as I woke up. I took a glance around to see myself in some weird classroom. There were security cameras hanging from the ceiling and iron plates on the walls. I tried to yank on the plates, but it was no use. I was trapped. I noticed a piece of paper on one of the desks. It said, Welcome to School. A new semester has begun. Since yer starting new lives, this school will be yer new world. Gather in the gym at 8 for the welcoming ceremony. "Seriously?" I wondered. I looked up at the clock, with the time being 8 o'clock. Hmm...I'd better head to the gym. Maybe then I'll get some answers. The door opened, showing a hallway with iron plates on the wall. I walked down until I found a sign that read Gym. I opened the door and walked in.

I was surprised to see a bunch of people already there. Most of them looked scared, confused, or indifferent. "Looks like another person's here," one boy spoke up. He had a green hoodie, blue sweatpants, messy brown hair, and yellow-rimmed glasses. "Uh, I'm Greg. You are-?"

"Gwen," I answered. "What's-?"

"Gwen, you saw the note, didn't you?" another guy asked. He had a green shirt, black shorts, black boots, and black hair in a crew cut. What was he, in the army? "It said to arrive here at 0800, not a moment later."

"This makes 58 people," a girl gasped. She had a green skirt, a yellow sweater, red hair tied up in a bun, and black-rimmed glasses over her green eyes.

"Is everyone here?" a boy asked. He had short red hair, a blue shirt, green pants, sneakers, and green-tinted glasses. Great. Another dweeb. "Maybe we'll get some answers."

"Shut it, dweeb," a girl remarked. She had long, black hair, a dark-mauve crop top, gray shorts, and black high-heeled wedges. Oh, yeah, she'll be fun. "No one gives a hoot about being on time."

"We don't even know each other," another girl agreed. She had gray sweatpants and a gray hoodie, and short blond hair. "Or why we're here."

"Question," a boy spoke up. He had a red hoodie, yellow shorts, short black hair, and black-rimmed glasses. "Did you wake up in a classroom by yourself?"

"Yeah," I answered. "But I have no idea how I got there."

"I thought so, too. That's what happened to me and the others."

"Whoever was behind this was truly EVIL!" another boy commented. He had a gray jumpsuit and short, purple hair. "Sudden unconsciousness, followed by a meeting in this gym?!" Okay, he's enjoying this way too much. Could he be behind this?

"No," a girl answered. She had long, pale hair, pale skin, a green sweater, and purple tights. I'll admit, she spooked me a bit, suddenly appearing behind me and seeming to read my mind. "I could see the confusion and fear in your aura," she answered, to my surprise. 'Aura'? Well, she was right, nonetheless.

"Don't worry about her," a boy told me. He had a green shirt, khaki shorts, sandals, and a white hat covering his dark hair. "The girl's nice. A little...peculiar, but nice."

"Peculiar's the word," another boy put in. He had a black shirt with a skull on it, dark pants, a green mohawk, and piercings all over him. Looks like your usual delinquent punk. "Reminds me of the digs back in juvie." Man, I can sure call them.

"Yeah," a girl agreed. She had neon-blue hair held back with a red clip, a black sleeveless dress, and black dress shoes over white socks. "Except we got kidnapped."

"I feel like a hog at the butcher's," a boy muttered. He had jeans, a brown flannel shirt, brown boots with blue stars on the sides, and a dusty brown cowboy hat. "Are they gonna auction off our innards?"

"Think positive, guys!" a girl replied. She had a light-blue leotard, a green mask and cape, and a long, ginger braid. Really? A superhero? "This is supposed to be a special school, right?"

"And there's nothing that can't be fixed with a song," another girl replied. She had a pink dress with puffy sleeves, pink gloves, a pink choker, pink dress shoes, and a pink bow in her black hair. Great, someone that acts like a princess from a fairy tale. Are there any normal people here?

"We'd better assess the situation," a girl told everyone. She had short brown hair, olive pants, and a brown top with white sleeves. Bossy, but she makes a good point. I looked around to see everyone. Man, this is my class? The ones I heard from are just so...weird, and even the ones that didn't speak are looking weird. I can see a pair of twins, some rocker chick, a guy doing some poses, some wizard dude, and a whole bunch of geeks, freaks, and weirdos.

But there was someone that caught my eye. A boy; with a blue shirt, dark-blue pants, spiky brown hair, and a gap in his teeth; was huddled by a corner of the gym. He looked scared and skittish. "Who is he?" I wondered aloud.

"Not sure," a guy answered. He had a yellow tank top, black shorts, and short black hair. "I didn't mean to listen in, honest. But he was one of the first guys here. The odd thing was that when we tried to talk to him, he panicked and scurried to that corner. He begged not to follow, saying he was some sort of jinx."

"A jinx?" I asked. Well, it explains why he's so skittish.

"Gwen, was it?" a boy asked. He had a light-green shirt, dark pants, and black hair. "We went to the same schools since fourth grade. Remember?"

"Y-yeah," I stuttered. Now I remember. "Trent? You...remember me?"

"Of course," Trent replied, looking relieved. "You were that goth loner, and I was the guy with a song in my heart..."

"We were a summertime romance," I giggled. Ah, it sends me back a little. We didn't date anymore, but we were still the best of friends. Too bad a crash cut my happy memories short. "Wait!" a voice shouted out. A girl with bright red hair in two pigtails, a red sleeveless top, light-brown pants, and sandals crash through the doors. She ran in. "Sorry I'm late!" she shouted. She tripped over her two feet and went flying...right into the skittish boy's arms? Huh? A moment ago, he was sitting in the corner. Everyone was staring at the new arrival. Myself included.

Zoey's P.O.V.

Gee, everyone's staring at me. I'm usually not that clumsy, but when I woke up in that classroom, I guess I got a panic attack. Did someone drug me? Did they do the same to these other people?

"You okay?" the boy holding me asked. "You look red in the face. Are you sick?"

"No," I replied. I think the redness in my face is caused by blushing, not a fever. "Um, thanks. You can put me down now." It's the funniest thing. I only met him for a minute, and my tummy is fluttering like a moth.

"If you two are done flirting, we should get on with this," a boy told me. He had a maroon shirt, dark pants, a bull-shaped necklace, and bright green eyes. He muttered something in Spanish, though I didn't understand a word of it. "What did you say?" I asked him.

"He said someone brought us here for a reason," a girl stuttered. She had a red cheer-leading outfit, white boots, and long, blond hair. Another girl scowled at her. She looked exactly the same, but with a beauty mark on her cheek. "Did I say you could talk, Samey?" she scolded her.

"No, Amy," Samey muttered. "But she was-"

"I'll let it slide this time, but you'd better not have another outburst," Amy told her. "Got it?"

"Yes, Amy." I kinda pity Samey. Samey...that doesn't even sound like her name. Maybe it's something similar, like Sammy or something.

"They could at least give me back my cell phone," a girl said. She had a yellow top, green pants, and a purple braid.

"She has a point," a boy agreed. He had brown hair, a pale-yellow shirt, dark pants, and a gap in his teeth. He searched his pockets, along with some others, but came up empty. "Did someone take them?" he wondered.

"I'm sure we'll get them back," a girl told him. She had short black hair, a pale-yellow tank top, purple pants ad sneakers, and red feather earrings. "Yeah, we'll get them back after the orientation." She's trying to calm him and the others down, and it seems to be working a little. Some feedback made us cover our ears, though the boy that helped me was the one most in pain. "Make it stop!" he cried out.

"Testing, testing," a voice said. "Mic test, one, two. Can everybody here me on this thing?"

"We can," a girl replied. She had teal hair, a black shirt with blue and green sleeves, a black skirt, dark-green leggings, and black boots. She seems nice. I hope we can get along.

"Hiya, kiddos!" the voice continued. "Time to roll out the welcome wagon! Not literally. Not sure what that means, but you get it."

"See?" the superhero girl answered. "We're not prisoners. It's just one of Hope Peak's customs."

"You're half right," the girl in the green sweater told him. Half right about what? Before I could gather what she meant, a small bear hopped onto the stage. A...bear?

Gwen's P.O.V.

Okay, if things weren't weird enough, we have this bear here? And it didn't look like any bear I know. Half of it was white while the other half was black. And on its black side, it had a strange, red eye and a creepy grin. And when I say creepy, I mean creepy in a bad way, enough to make shivers go down your spine. "What the heck?" Trent wondered, just as confused and scared as I was.

"I know what you're thinking," the bear said, "and no, I'm not a high-tech, Build-a-Bear reject. I am the principal of this luxurious institution, Monokuma! Please to meet ya."

"A...talking...bear?" the superhero gulped.

"Bears your kryptonite, She-Ra?" the girl in gray sweats taunted.

"Show some respect," the bear told us. "Mo-no-ku-ma. Your principal!" Okay, I'm repeating myself now, but this is weird.

"Yes, yes," Monokuma continued, "Like nothing you've ever seen before, uncanny, unsettling even, yada, yada. Moving right along. All of you stand at attention and give Principal your snappiest good morning!"

"Morning, Monokuma Bear Principal!" a girl shouted as she bowed. She had long blond hair, a white shirt under a fuzzy brown vest, black leggings, and fuzzy brown boots. "You have Helga's attention." She turned to the rest of us. She quickly said something in a language I couldn't understand, then she stomped her foot, making us all freeze in place. "Don't encourage him," the boy that helped the red head stuttered. Isn't he anything but scared?

"It'll have to do, I suppose," Monokuma decided. "Anyway, welcome, bright, young things, to your new living quarters. Now before you get all uppity, rest assured it's for your own good. Mustn't let the outside world dull that dazzling inner spark. We got to keep that freshness sealed in."

"Um, I don't think so!" the black-haired girl in the crop top told him.

"So now you're wondering how long you'll be guests of our program," Monokuma continued. Now that I think about it, just how long are we here for? The bear soon gave an answer. "Approximately...the rest of your lives!" Everyone gasped. Rest of our lives?! This has to be a sick joke, right? "Oh, yeah. By new living quarters, I mean permanent living quarters," Monokuma continued.

"You can't be serious," the delinquent told him.

"We're staying here forever?" Greg wondered.

"Aw, don't fret," Monokuma told us. "We have an astronomical budget. Your needs will be satisfied in perpetuity."

"That's not the point!" the guy in the yellow tank top argued. "What if we have families?"

"Just no!" one of the twins spoke.

"Those iron plates we saw were to shut us in?" I asked that bear.

"Bingo!" he replied. "You're here for keepsies! Kick and scream all you want! No one outside can hear you."

"I don't mean to insult if this is less than ideal," the red-head spoke up, "but to spend the rest of our natural lives confined here?"

"Natural lives?" Monokuma repeated. "That's rich. Actually, for those who wish to leave, there is a loophole."

"Enlighten us," the bossy brunette told him.

"Good, old-fashioned murder!" Wait, murder?! He has to be kidding. He hopped off the stage. "Yes, the student who kills a classmate, and gets away with it, will be permitted to walk out of here scot-free! Pummel, shiv, bludgeon, mutilate, immolate, extirpate, asphyxiate, know magic, conjurate!" He laughed before grabbing a live fish. "Know what you kids and a salmon have in common? Neither of you have the faintest notion how jingly the thought of you slaughtering each other makes me. The best of the best, the prim of the prim, forced into a gore free-for-all! Isn't there anything hotter?"

"You're crazy!" Trent told him.

"But why?" the princess asked. "What could be the point of this?"

"What they said!" the delinquent agreed. "If you think we're on board with this bull crap, you're out of your mind!"

"Bull crap?" Monokuma asked, anger in his tone. "Where do you get off talking like that to your principal? Love it or hate it, sweetie pies, from here on out, this school is your entire world. Them's the breaks." He strutted off. "Look on the bright side. I'm letting you get away with murder! For reals! So stop whining and start plotting."

"You want murder, teddy?" the cowboy threatened. "Keep up the damn attitude and you'll be victim number one!"

"Is that a threat? You gonna whack me with that two-gallon hat?" The cowboy grabbed him by the throat. "What I'm gonna do is tear ya apart till there's nothing left but what's making ya blab!"

"School rules expressly state no harm must come to the principal!" Monokuma told him. His red eye began to flash. "Uh, what's it doing?" the cowboy asked. That sound could only mean trouble. "Toss him!" I warned him. "Just do it!" He tossed the bear, which quickly exploded. "That-that thing could've blown my face clean off!" the cowboy screamed.

"Is the teddy bear kaput?" the rocker asked.

"Not a teddy bear!" Monokuma's voice called out, to everyone's shock. "Monokuma!" He hopped out onto the stage. "Ta-da!"

"You little-!" the delinquent began.

"Consider that a verbal warning, young man. Get smart with me again, any of you, and let's just say 'round here we forgo written warnings in favor of instant corporal punishment! This now concludes the introductory portion of your orientation, boys and girls. Here's to you all enjoying a fun, fulfilling, if-not-exactly-long-life of class enrichment at Hope's Peak High!" He was lowered off the stage. Most of the others began to panic some. "So if I understand this correctly," the black-haired girl with the crop top began, "to make it out of this place is to kill."

"This is absolutely bogus!" the cadet grumbled.

"No," Greg replied, tears in his eyes, "It's a joke."

"A joke it may very well be," the bossy brunette replied. "It doesn't alleviate the fact that one of you could take it at face-value."

And so, we began our lives as students here at this hell known as Hope's Peak High School, if you could call it a life. The name was 100% ironic.

Zoey's P.O.V.

The others began to look around for an exit from this nightmare known as Hope's Peak High School. I managed to get some names from the others, though. The cowboy was Austin, the black-haired girl with the crop top was Heather, the boy with the green mohawk was Duncan, the girl with teal hair was Gwen, and so forth. Right now, Phoebe, the superhero girl, was with Helga, the girl with the furry vest and boots. "Give it your all!"she rallied. Helga punched the iron wall, but didn't even leave a dent. "I did not make dent," Helga replied.

"You have to admit," Cody, the boy with the gap in his teeth, said. "I'm kinda digging the digital notebook." I opened mine up, and it showed all of my info on it. I also learned from the others that everyone here had some sort of talent. Sam, the guy with the striped shirt and GameGuy, was the Ultimate Gamer; Harold, the guy with the red hair and blue shirt, was the Ultimate Scholar of Trivia; Lightning, the guy in the blue football jersey, was the Ultimate Sports Star, and so on. Almost everyone had some sort of talent, and sometimes two or more people had the same talent. I honestly wasn't sure what my talent was.

"Nothing," Phoebe sighed as she skipped down.

"Same here," Duncan answered as he and Lightning kicked the podium.

"Don't lose hope, friends!" Brick, the guy in the army clothes, told everyone. "If we persevere, the way out will surely present itself!"

"Captain Pep Talk finally makes a point," Jo, the girl in the gray sweats, answered.

"No point in spinning our wheels, right?" Phoebe asked.

"Yeah, I guess," Duncan moaned. "Leave no stone unturned, right?"

"That's right!" I added in. Wow, with this attitude, I feel like we could actually come out of this! I noticed that boy that helped me leaving. "Where are you going?" I asked him.

"To search alone," he mumbled. This made everyone else gasp. "Think that's smart?" Courtney, the bossy brunette, asked him.

"Yes," he mumbled. "With any of you planning to kill someone...and with me being a jinx to anything breathing..."

"Whoa there, pal!" Austin told him as he stepped in front of him. "You can't do anything you want!"

"Just leave me alone, okay? Not even someone as harsh as you deserves to die."

"You're just asking for a beating, huh?!" Me and Greg stepped in front of them. "Hold up, guys!" I told them.

"The last thing we want to do is fight!" Greg told them.

"Say what?!" Austin shouted. "Out of the way, miss!" He pushed me aside. Boy, he seems grumpy. He turned to Greg. "Who the hell do you think you are, punk? You wanna lecture me? Give me a lesson on teamwork?!"

"Wait!" Greg defended. "No, I-"

"SHUT UP!" Austin socked Greg in the face, knocking him out cold.

Destiny's P.O.V.

Greggy was starting to stir in his bed. Good. After Austin punched him and knocked him out cold, me and this redhead girl named Zoey carried Greggy to his room. He opened his eyes and looked around before laying eyes on me. "Desi!" he cried out. "What-? Are we-?"

"Yes, Greggy," I answered. "And this is your room. Everyone gets one, I guess."

"Well, thanks."

"The others have been tearing this place apart for the past few hours. I was worried about you, so I stayed here." Greggy's face blushed a bit. Back before all this, I was starting to become a bit of a star in the music world. I was given the label of Ultimate Rising Musician, but even as I got a little fame, I always made sure Greggy stuck by me. We've been friends since the third grade, and I've always thought he had a bit of a crush on me. That blush on his cheeks only confirms it. "Don't be like that," I teased.

"Was-was that out loud?" Greggy panicked.

"No. I can read your mind." He just blushed again. I stuck my tongue out. "Teasing! Just, uh, in-tu-i-tion."

"Intuition," Greggy repeated. "If you think about it, they're really similar." Ah, Greggy was always the smartest in the bunch. "I'm glad you're here with me," I told him. And I meant it, too. I'd be a lot more worried if I didn't know anybody. Greggy started to get up. "Feeling better?" I asked him.

"Yeah," he answered. "Thanks. We'd better help the others look for an escape to this place."

"And maybe get to know everyone?" I suggested. "Because we might be here a while." Greggy stared at me before giggling. "You do make a point, Desi," he said. "As great as freedom sounds, we have to be realistic. Let's go!"

We soon went to the cafeteria, where we saw everyone waiting for us. "There's the couple of the hour," Duncan teased.

"You okay, Greg?" Zoey asked.

"Yeah," Greggy answered. We sat down next to her. Austin got on Greggy's other side. "I'll chalk this up to stress," he told him.

"Uh, sure. I understand. We're all on-edge." I guess he makes a point, but-

Wait, did I hear...crying? Greggy and Zoey noticed it, too. We looked to where it was coming from and we saw that guy with the blue shirt that helped Zoey earlier sobbing in the corner. We walked over to him. "Is something wrong?" Zoey asked.

"If he hadn't stepped in," the boy cried out, "he wouldn't have been hurt! It's my fault he got hurt! I'm sorry!" Greggy and I shared a look. We both had the same thought: He blames himself? But it wasn't really his fault, right? Zoey just leaned in to him. "What's your name?" she asked.

"M-M-Mike," he stuttered.

"Well Mike, we're not upset at you."

"Yeah," Greggy agreed. "I stepped in to try to ease things. I didn't mean to cause a fight. Now, come on. Let's go with the others."

"O-okay," Mike stuttered. He got up and walked back with us.

"I doubt anyone would kill in front of a witness," Heather spoke up as she twirled her hair. "Given the present circumstances, safety in numbers is key."

"Right," Brick agreed. "Listen up! I hereby call to order the first Hope's Peak High School Debriefing on Academy Affairs! Let's review our present state of affairs. And remember, all cards on the table."

"Helga kicked door for hour," Helga spoke up. "Not even one dent. It was hard as iron."

"It was iron," Jo scoffed. "So, it makes sense."

"At the end of the main hall, Dakota and I found a stairwell leading to another floor," Sam informed us. Dakota, the blond girl with a pink sleeveless top and pink pants, spoke up next. "A security gate was down," she told us. "And we couldn't get it to budge. So not cool!"

"I see," Scarlett, the girl with the red bun, put in. "It is interesting that some areas are restricted for the time being."

"The dorms were quite nice," Lindsay, the blond with the blue bandana and cowboy boots, spoke up. "Comfy beds, stylish decor...if it wasn't for the metal plates and security cameras, it would be five stars!"

"I've searched the kitchen," Beth, the girl with the brown ponytail and glasses, said. "They've enough food to feed an army. Safe to say we won't go hungry."

"There's no way there's enough food to feed over fifty people for the rest of their lives," Anne-Maria, the tanned girl with a magenta top and poofy brown hair, argued.

"No, there is. The fridge is restocked by how much food we eat the day prior. Monokuma told me."

"Huh?" I asked, surprised. "Monokuma just...told you?"

"He popped out of nowhere while I was looking around the kitchen. Then he disappeared before I could see where he went."

"Anything else to report?" Brick asked us.

"Report?" Echo, the girl with blue hair and black sleeveless dress, sneered. "We're still in the dark about who's behind this and we're still trapped! This investigation was a waste of time!"

"No," Courtney argued. "Some useful information was gained from our joint efforts. We now know the boundaries of our confinement, and that we'll be here for a whole."

"Monokuma's made that perfectly clear," Sol, the boy with the yellow tank top, agreed. "From where else will we get the incentive to kill?"

"Great," Gwen muttered.

"What are we gonna do?" Lightning wondered.

"Adapt, I suppose," Alejandro, the tanned boy with the maroon shirt, spoke up.

"Huh?" Beth asked him.

"The arraignments aren't too bad."

"So we suck it up and get used to be prisoners?" Heather lashed back.

"In the game of survival, the strongest nor the smartest have the advantage, but those most willing to adapt. The most pliable."

"Pli-pliable?" I asked.

"It means easy to bend," Greggy explained to me. "Like a copper wire."

"Anyway," Alejandro continued, "With that chestnut in mind, I would like to offer everyone a modest suggestion."

"Yeah?" Duncan asked. "And what would that be?"

"You will note in the rules a designated curfew." I looked at Alejandro's digital notebook. It said The hours from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. are designated 'night hours'. Please bear in mind that some areas are restricted during the night hours. Yeah, it does have a bit of a curfew. "I suggest we put a dent into this," Alejandro continued. "At night, we stay in our rooms."

"What would be the point?" Anne-Maria bitterly asked.

"Think about it, my dears. Under the present circumstances, the dark hours will be especially hard on our nerves. The tiniest of sound will persuade the foulest of actions." I guess that does make sense, and the others looked like they agree. "Of course, this must be self-imposed. Its only means of enforcement will be peer pressure."

Gwen's P.O.V.

The next day, we picked up where the search left off. And the day after that. But as you probably figured, we didn't make a lot of headway. We soon all met back at the cafeteria. "Damn it!" Duncan swore. "I'm telling ya, no matter how many times I looked, I always come up with squat!" The others murmured in agreement. "We're stuck," Greg sobbed. "We're never leaving this place!"

"Chin up, Greggy!" Destiny, the girl with the pink dress and red boots, assured him. Greggy? Sounds like they're close.

"She's right," Trent agreed. "Someone on the outside is sure to miss us by now."

"You think so?" I asked him.

"We've been gone long enough to raise the alarm," Phoebe answered. "We're talking three days! The police will be looking for us and will find us at any time!" We heard Monokuma laughing. We turned to see him in a chair. "Bear!" Phoebe squealed. "Help! Bear!"

"Dear, oh, dear," Monokuma mocked. "You're not hedging your bets on law enforcement. You know, it's quite simple: if you want out of here, I just gotta see a little initiative." Is he crazy? I'm not turning into a murderer. "Well, I gotta hand it to you," he continued. "you've got balls when it comes to defying authority. Frankly, the attitude only gets you so far. You're boring me to tears."

"If you think you're going to trick us into killing someone, you're crazy!" I told that stupid bear.

"Trick! That's the problem! Set-up's perfect, the right atmosphere, a good balance of tension and intrigue, the perfect amount of pressure, but not the vital ingredient to put it all together!"

"What are you getting at, buddy bear?" Austin lashed out.

"Motivation, son. Half of the students report to the Multimedia Room at once for a brief, informative presentation on just what I mean!"

"Why only half?" I asked.

"Don't want too many bodies at once, if you know what I mean!" Me, along with about twenty-six of the others, were in the Multimedia Room. I had a DVD that read Gwen's DVD. I put it in and put the headphones on. Soon, I saw a video of my mom and my little brother on our couch. Soon, it changed to just the couch, now all shredded up. I gasped at this. "This is insane," I muttered. "I have to get out of here! I can't let him do that!"

"Gwen?" Trent spoke up. "You okay?"

"He...he..." Trent just enveloped me in a hug. It didn't make the horror go away, but it made me feel a little better.

Destiny's P.O.V.

Greggy's scream caught my attention from that awful video. I saw him quaking over by the wall. "I can't let him do that!" he sobbed. "I have to get out before he does that!"

"What did you see?" I asked him. It must have been bad, because Greggy has never been this scared before. "Greggy?" I asked again.

"I-I can't!" he cried out. "I have to do something before it's too late!" We heard Monokuma laughing at us. He was watching us from the monitor. Jo stood up. "Who are you, really?" she asked. "And what are you getting out of this?"

"Yes, what am I getting out of this?" Monokuma pointed out. "Very good question. My payoff is your despair."

"NO!" Greggy shouted as he left the room. I followed after him. "Greggy, wait!" I told him as I grabbed his arm. "We're in this together!"

"Let go!" Greggy told me, but I didn't.

"We have to stick together! We're going to get through this!"

"No! No one's coming for us! We're all gonna die!"

"That's not gonna happen! I won't let it!" Greggy looked up at me, tears in his eyes. Wow, I've never seen him so upset before. He cried in my arms. That awful bear just mocked his crying before laughing at us. Nearly everyone was as shaken up as we were.

Surviving Members: 59

Okay, here's the first chapter! I know it's a bit of a stretch including all 51 people and my 8 OCs, but rest assured that everyone will get a moment to shine. Hopefully.

And I know everyone wasn't introduced, but I tried my best to give some people a good role. And as you can tell, this chapter was told in different P.O.V.s, so you can see the different people's thoughts.

I'm not sure when the next chapter will be up, but I hope this first one gets you hooked. Until next time, this is Dunsparce519 saying enjoy and have a good day.
