Chapter 1: Curse of The Tower
(Lavender Town after midnight)
A man who was visiting the Poke'mon Tower was running like crazy as what appeared to be a ghost was following after him. The man tripped over one of the graves in the tower and falls to the ground. But before he could get up, the spooky entity had caught up to him.
Random Poke'mon Trainer- W-w-why are you chasing after me…?
Ghost- My child! You've taken him from me! My baby!
Random Poke'mon Trainer- Your child? What are you talking about?
Before it could answer, the ghost-like being lunged itself at the poor fellow.
(Yoshi Island the next morning)
Yoshi, Ash, Pikachu, Goh, and Cinderace (evolved from Goh's Raboot) were standing at the edge of a cliff somewhere on Yoshi Island.
Ash- Easy there, Dragonite. Pick them up nice and slow and be gentle with them.
After a few seconds, Ash's Dragonite flew up from the cliff while holding five young Yoshi children in its claws.
Goh- That's a relief. Dragonite managed to get them all without any of them felling.
Yoshi- Yes, Yoshi can breathe again…but Yoshi needs word with Fearsome Five!
After Dragonite put those Yoshi kids back on the ground, Yoshi approached them and Yoshi did not look happy.
Green Yoshi Kid- Oh…hi there, Yoshi…
Yoshi- You five always keep getting in trouble! Why you five never listen to all Yoshi's warnings?! Need Yoshi remind all about time Fearsome Five got lost in jungle and Mario had to come and save?!
Blue Yoshi Kid- But Yoshi! The Fearsome Five aren't afraid of anything!
Yellow Yoshi Kid- Yeah! Don't turn into that bossy cheep-cheep, Sushi! We thought this was a fun place to hang out.
Yoshi- And Yoshi Kids almost fell off cliff! Fearsome Five are to go home now and tell parents what happened or there be no dessert privilege tonight!
Blue, Purple, Yellow, and Red Yoshi Kid (at the same time)- NO CAKE?!
Green Yoshi Kid- Uh…we have to go back home now…
Then the five Yoshi kids rushed back to Yoshi village.
Yoshi- What Yoshi gonna do about them?
Goh- They sound like a mischievous little bunch.
Cinderace- Cinderace…
Yoshi- Goh have no idea…
Goh- Say, are there any wild Poke'mon on this island?
Yoshi- This Yoshi Island. Nothing but Yoshi's and dinosaurs.
Then Goh pulls out a poke'ball.
Goh- I'm courious…are you Yoshi's…
Then Yoshi moves his face up to Goh's face.
Yoshi- Don't even think about it!
Ash- Yoshi's aren't any form of Poke'mon, Goh. Besides, I know Kirby is still a little mad at Bianca for throwing a poke'ball at him.
Goh- Sorry, but…it would be a real bummer to return back to Professor Cerise's lab without catching a new Poke'mon.
Yoshi- What about big bunny Poke'mon standing next to you?
Goh- You mean Cinderace? Cinderace isn't new. Raboot evolved since the last time we met, Yoshi.
Ash- You remember how some Poke'mon can evolve into a more powerful version of themselves? Like how Torracat evolved into Incineroar. Well, Goh's Raboot is not that Cinderace. But it's not just that. My Riolu also evolved into Lucario since then too.
Yoshi- Oh! Yoshi remember now. Yoshi still remember lessons about being Poke'mon Trainer when Yoshi was Poke'mon Trainer.
Goh- That's right! Yoshi was in your body when Hades swapped…
Ash- Goh…I really would rather not talk about that little incident!
Yoshi- Anyway, Yoshi glad Ash answer call when Yoshi needed it.
Ash- Any time, Yoshi. We are teammates after all.
Pikachu- Pikachu.
Suddenly, there was a ringing sound coming from Goh's Rotom phone.
Goh- It's Professor Cerise. I wonder what he wants…
Goh pushes the button and puts the Rotom phone to his ear.
Goh- Hello Professor…yes, Ash and I just finished helping Yoshi with…already?! And you want me and Ash to…ok…I'll let Ash know.
Goh hung up the phone and turned to face Yoshi and Ash.
Ash- What's up?
Goh- Apparently, Professor Cerise has another task for us. He wants us to go to a place in the Kanto Region called Lavender Town.
Ash- I know that place. I've actually visited it during my travels around Kanto with Brock and Misty.
Goh- Well apparently, there appears to be something screwy happening at the Poke'mon Tower where all the Poke'mon graves are kept.
Yoshi- Graves?
Ash- Lavender Town is for some reason most famous for this tower were Poke'mon that have…moved on…are laid to rest. It's also where a lot of ghost type Poke'mon like to hang out.
Yoshi began to shiver a bit.
Goh- And I thought Luigi was the one that was terrified of ghosts.
Yoshi- Yoshi no like entering haunted houses either! Yoshi always wait outside whenever Mario's go into one on Yoshi Island!
Ash- Ghost type Poke'mon aren't really ghosts, Yoshi. They just appear that way. My Gengar is a ghost type Poke'mon, but it's still a Poke'mon just like Pikachu and the other.
Goh- Yeah…about that…according to reports, people who've entered the Poke'mon Tower after the sun has set have been attacked by what they claim is a ghost. A man was found in the tower this morning. He's still alive, but he looks like he's in complete and total shock. All his hair had turned gray, a look of fear frozen into his face, and his eyes don't appear to be blinking. The only sign that he's alive is he's still breathing. And Professor Cerise wants us to investigate.
Ash- Damn…sounds like one serious case. Hey Yoshi, do you think you can come with us on this?
Yoshi- Yoshi not really doing anything, but Yoshi lie if Yoshi say Yoshi not nervous. Yoshi hate being in haunted locations.
Goh- No worries, Yoshi! Ash and I will be there with you every step of the way! And maybe I'll find one of those ghost Poke'mon there to catch along the way!
