3 Years Later
Gregor was running his fingers through his bat Ares then suddenly everything turned black and Ares said " Why was I the one to die It called for the warrior to die not me" Gregor started to cry which was something he really does but just barely gets the words out " I meant to save you and die myself I thought I was going to die I thought I was dead."
"Lies You let me die you never came back for me, now it's your time to join me"
Before Gregor could get a word out Ares flew up really high and dropped him. This is it this is how I'm going to die in the way I'm most afraid of falling through darkness.
Gregor heard his sisters yelling at him to wake up, he realized he must have been dreaming, and felt relieved it was. He asked his sister Lizzie why they were in his room, She responded by saying " You were screaming in your sleep again and wouldn't wake up. You know if you ever need someone to talk to I'm here for you know" Gregor responded with " I don't need help honestly I couldn't be better". Even his sister knew that he was lying he probably couldn't be doing worse. He had fought in a war seen thousands be killed and probably killed hundreds of creatures and also been stripped of his friends and his love luxa.
Just bringing up that name gave him chills the more he thought about her the more he missed her. He told his sister to leave and they did and he went to go take a shower since he had sweat in his dream. After he got out of the shower and dressed in sweatpants and a sweatshirt to hide the scars he had. He then went downstairs to eat breakfast and to his surprise, his mom had made him a large breakfast. He went over to the food and started to eat, his mom started to talk but he towed her out like he did every morning. He and his mom have not had a good relationship since the move. After he ate he got ready to run to school.
Going to school was something Gregor wanted just to get over with which was mostly everyone's reason for going to school anyways so he was somewhat normal. Gregor always was alone in his mind but in school, all of the girls would fan over him because he was over 6ft jacked and had pretty eyes. He never tried to date any one of them even the prettiest girl in the school Sarah wanted but he couldn't get over luxa he hoped that he would someday get to go back and marry her but for now he would have to wait.
When he got to school he went straight to class and sat down in his seat next to his only "friend" they weren't close to Gregor at least. Gregor was a smart kid but he never tried that hard in class he would often daydream about the Underland during class.
Once class was over all of the girls in the class started to head to Gregor's desk but he had already left going to his dad's car. His dad found a job as a substitute teacher for now because he still would have some bad days just like Gregor's mom where they would get sick but it's starting to get less and less frequently thankfully.
When they got home he took his stuff to his room and climbed out his window onto the roof of his house. He just sat there wondering if things might be different if he had stayed in New York would he be happier would he and luxa be a thing. That's when he heard a girl scream it seemed to be coming from the house next door.
