(Come What May
By: Ewan McGregor and Nicole Kidman
Moulin Rouge Soundtrack)
It was a beautiful morning in Paris, when Julia woke up to watch the sunset and was sad knowing her and William would be leaving in 2 days. But she was also sad of how every time they were on the street, they saw a woman pushing a pram. Ever since losing the baby, William and her decided to take a trip to Paris, to reconnect.
As she sat up in the bed with tears in her eyes, William woke up, "what's wrong?"
She looks down at him, "nothing" and gives him a kiss on the forehead and gets out of the bed, as he follows.
"Julia, I know you, when something is wrong."
She turns to him, and begins sobbing, "I tried so hard and failed you. I thought this trip will help, but it hasn't and I have been thinking..." she says and looks down, "when we get back to Toronto, I will file some annulment papers, and leave so you can meet a woman who can give you a child you deserve."
Shocked at hearing this, he puts a finger under her chin, "Julia, I love you and told you before we left, if we don't have a child, it doesn't matter. What matters is that were together, as a family." and tried to give her a kiss but she pulls away and walks onto their hotel terrace, "you say that William. But what if down the road you get bored of me and regret being married to me?" she said as she cried in her hands and felt like she was back in their suite in Toronto after she kicked him out.
He didn't know what to say, but began singing,
Never knew, I could feel like this
Like I've never seen the sky before
I want to vanish inside your kiss
Every day I love you more and more
He approaches her and places his hands on her shoulder,
Listen to my heart
Can't you hear it sing
Telling me to give you everything
Seasons may change
Winter to Spring
But I love you
Until the end of time
She turns to him,
Come what may
Come what may
I will love you
Until my dying day
She smiles and joins in the singing,
Suddenly the world seems a perfect place
Suddenly it moves with such a perfect grace
Suddenly my life doesn't seem such a waste, it all revolves around you
She walks away and sees the Moulin Rouge, and turns back to him
And there's no mountain too high
No river too wide
Sing out this song and I'll be there by your side
Storm clouds may gather
And stars may collide
She approaches him and puts her hands on his waist as he places his hands on her face,
But I love you
I love you
Until the end of time
Come what may
Come what may
I will love you
I will love you
They smiled at each other and passionately kisses each other, as he lifted her up and took her back to their bed and made passionate love.
Afterwards they cuddled, when William said, "did I prove my love for you?"
She looked at him, "yes, William you did, but..."
He placed a finger on her lips, "no, buts. I meant it. Singing that song to you, was proof, if its just us as a family, I'll be the luckiest man in the world"
She began tearing up again, but this time happy tears as she passionately kissed him, "I feel like I am the luckiest woman in the world, each day I am with you"
He smiled and rolled her over, "I am going to show you, how lucky you are" and kissed her
"William Henry Murdoch, what has gotten into you?"
He kisses her, "just love my wife"
"And I my husband" she says and kisses him, "now show me again, how lucky I am"
He thrust inside her, with a groaning moan, "with pleasure"
