I returned to the agency one afternoon with a bag clutched in my hand and despite Raja's interest in what the bag contained, I waved him off. "Babe, what's the matter? I thought you wanted to see a doctor." He asked, concerned when he saw me breathing a little heavily.
"Raja, I can't go and see a doctor. How will he react if he finds out I'm pregnant with a demon baby?" I replied, seeing him curl his tail around himself which made me feel much worse. "I didn't mean it like that, Raja I just don't think a human's going to understand that I'm having a baby with my demon mate," I added and he brightened, slithering over to me and I smiled as he rested a hand on my flat stomach. "Besides this test will let us know if I'm really pregnant."
"Okay, but be careful, babe. You know how much I want to have a child with you but I also don't want anything to happen to you both. If you are really pregnant." Raja answered, following me to the bathroom though he gave me space when I disappeared into the toilet stall. I emerged a few minutes later with the pregnancy test and once he saw my tiny smile and two flushed cheeks he grinned, slithering over to me in a rush as I showed him the positive test.
Even though the test did come up positive I wasn't totally sure that it was accurate. At least until a few more weeks passed and Raja smiled, his arms wrapping around my waist one morning as I started to dress. When he saw that my belly now had a small curve to it he grinned, nuzzling my neck as I smiled. "Looks like we know for sure now, Raja. I'm definitely pregnant."
Raja just grinned, tracing my belly with his left hand as he held me close with his right. "Just think in a few months you're going to be huge." He teased and I snorted, not as convinced that I'd gain a ton of weight but as the weeks went by I began to feel nauseous and I groaned, hiding my head in the toilet as Raja hovered nearby. "You'll feel better once you have something to eat." He assured me and I lifted my head, beads of sweat dotting my forehead.
"Not sure I could stomach anything the way I feel right now, Raja," I answered with a groan, trembling as he wrapped his tail around my waist to steady me. Once the urge to vomit passed Raja cleaned my face with a washcloth, bringing me back to the bed we shared where I curled up beside him. I barely even noticed that he'd wrapped his body around mine as I soon dozed off, not waking until most of the day had passed.
"Feeling any better?" Raja asked, helping me sit and I tried to answer but my stomach responded instead and he chuckled. "Thought so. I'm making you dinner." He suggested and I blinked, confused until he snorted. "You've been asleep for hours, Melissa but don't worry about it. Between you being sick and exhausted all the time I'm glad to see you finally getting some sleep."
As Raja headed for the kitchen I smiled to myself, resting a hand on my slightly curved belly. One morning after three weeks had passed I found myself standing in front of the bathroom mirror, my black shirt and underpants the only clothing I was wearing as pajamas.
Lifting up my shirt I stared down at my belly and Raja grinned, leaning over me and I blinked as he rested a hand on my belly. "Not just a curve anymore, babe. You're really got a baby in there." He said, keeping his voice low in case any of the agency's other residents overheard.
"It just kind of bulged out, Raja. Probably not just from the baby though. I have been enjoying your home-cooked meals." I replied, tilting my head back as Raja ran his fingernails gently over my bigger belly. "You know I kind of like it when you rub my belly. Especially now that I'm pregnant."
"Though so, babe. You're going to be a lot more sensitive to my touch now." Raja commented, nuzzling my neck. I just grinned, enjoying his closeness until the very tip of his tail slipped into my underpants and I froze, tilting my head back enough to see him giving me a smile that showed all of his teeth. "Babe, you don't know how attractive you are to me right now." He told me and after I stared at him for several seconds I gave my demon a slight nod. "Yeah, I thought so. We haven't had sex since you started getting sick. Gonna make up for lost time." He hissed and I groaned, eyes closing as the very tip of his tail slipped deep into me. Giving me a grin he draped an arm around my shoulders holding me close and as his tail started to slide in and out of me I shuddered.
"Ohhh you know exactly what I want." I managed to groan and he chuckled, his forked tongue darting into my left ear. In time with his tail strokes, Raja tongued my ear enjoying the pants and groans he managed to pull from my mouth. As soon as I started to arch my hips he grinned speeding up until I cried out, resting my head on his chest and he chuckled his tail wrapped around my waist now to keep me steady.
"That was fast, babe." Raja teased once I lifted my head and when I rolled my eyes he grinned at me.
"You're so funny, Raja," I replied, pushing away from him and he sighed slithering over to me before he coiled around me. "Keep teasing me like that and say goodbye to ever having sex again."
"Aww, I was just kidding around, Melissa. Besides you know how much I love you." Raja answered, wrapping his arms around my shoulders and I sighed giving him a nod. "Now how about something to eat?" He suggested and I nodded, both of us hearing a gurgle and despite my mood, I managed a weak laugh as he smiled at me.
Over the next few weeks, I ventured out more, opting to do a lot more training with Raja constantly at my side. We stood panting after a chance encounter with two Oni demons and as I leaned back, sliding down the wall Raja moved to my side. Seeing him staring at me with two wide golden eyes I let out a breath, wiping sweat from my forehead.
"Raja, I'm okay. Just a little tired right now." I panted and he sighed coiling up beside me. When I felt his tail wrap around my wrist I smiled at him, still breathing a little heavier. "Don't worry about me. You fought the hardest."
"Probably but you're just not used to the extra weight, Melissa." Raja countered as I rested my head on his shoulder, watching with a tiny smile as he rested one of his hands on my belly. "Think you've put on a couple of more pounds, babe."
"Of course I have, Raja. Have you seen how much of the amazing meals I've been eating lately?" I replied, a faint smile on my lips as he stroked my shirt. "Once we've rested we should probably head back. I could use something to eat if you don't mind cooking again."
"You know I love to cook for you and the baby too," Raja answered, coiling around my body and I yelped grabbing his shoulders when he lifted me into his arms. "Now let's head back to the agency." He chuckled as my face turned a bright red but I let him carry me back, grateful that he was so attentive to my needs.
The moment we left the training hall I realized that the sun had already set and I let out a breath, happy that no one would be out this late and see me hovering just off the ground. We made our way back to the agency without any other hostile demon encounters and after Raja pushed open the door he gently set me down in the office.
"There you go. Why don't you take a seat on the couch and I'll call you as soon as I have dinner ready?" Raja told me, kissing the top of my cheek before he slithered towards the kitchen. Giving my demon a tiny grin I made my way towards the couch deciding that a nap would be great right now. Someone humming made me crack open an eye and Raja grinned, holding a large plate in one arm and the end of his tail coiled around two small bowls. "Evening, Melissa. How was your nap?" Raja asked, watching on as I pushed myself up with one elbow. "Thought you'd like some dinner." He told me, setting down a plate covered with Tempura and as he set down the two bowls I grinned at him.
"You thought right, Raja. I was a little tired when we got back so I decided a nap might make me feel better." I told him as he coiled around the table and Raja tilted his head to one side until I grinned at him. "Don't worry, Raja. I was just a little tired not sick. Thankfully my morning sickness didn't last very long." I explained and he nodded, pushing the plate of Tempura towards me.
It didn't take long for me to notice that I was putting on weight much faster and when I tried to cut back on the amount of food I ate Raja sighed. "Babe, you look good with that extra weight. You don't need to control how much you eat. Remember it's not just you that needs the energy." Raja commented, watching on with an amused smile as I lifted up my shirt in front of the bathroom mirror.
"I supposed I do, Raja but it's taken me a while to get used to the extra weight." I agreed, looking at my belly with a faint grin. Chuckling, Raja slithered close enough to coil around me and I smiled as he used the tip of his tail to stop my shirt from slipping back down. With his teeth bared he slipped off my shirt, tossing it aside before he placed both hands on my growing belly.
"I take back what I said earlier, Melissa. You look amazing not just good." Raja commented, stroking my much bigger belly and I grinned tilting my head back with a sigh as he rubbed slow circles over my expanded belly. "Maybe you're having twins instead of just one if you're growing this fast. You look like you're already halfway through your pregnancy but you have months to go."
"Maybe you're right, Raja. Feels like my belly's going to get bigger especially the way I keep eating. My appetite keeps growing too." I replied and he chuckled, wrapping an arm around my waist and as he gently tugged me against his chest he rubbed my belly a little faster.
"I've been paying close attention and your belly keeps expanding every time I see it, beautiful. Wonder how big you'll be once you're at term." Raja whispered, turning me around and as his hand slipped down my waist ending up on my underpants I turned my head enough to give him a full smile that showed all of my teeth.
"Not just my appetite for food that's increased, Raja. Did you think you could help your pregnant mate out?" I whispered and he laughed, helping me out of my underpants and as I tilted my head back he slipped into me. "Now that's perfect," I told him and he smiled, leaning in to kiss me. Coiled around me Raja chuckled, his teeth grazing my throat as he thrust into me his golden eyes taking in my flushed face.
"That's it, babe. You love it when I mate with you especially now you're carrying the baby I put into you." Raja teased and I let out a breath, draped my arms around his waist where his scales began. "Wanna go faster?" He asked and I nodded, gripping his back tightly when he started to move quicker. Even caught up in the enjoyment of mating with his bonded mate Raja stared at me as my eyes closed, my focus on the way his body coiled around me and his slow even thrusts.
"Yeah, that's it. Damn you are perfect you know that?" Raja hissed and I managed to crack open my eyes to find his eyes glowing. Grinning at how badly I'm panting Raja nipped my throat, nicking my skin, and when I groan from the sudden spark of pain his mouth crushed mine, drawing me into a kiss that muffled my moans. Raja reached down and after he cupped my backside he started to move even faster noting with a grin that I'm gripping his back hard, my eyes open and focused squarely on his face.
"Raja, I'm not fragile. You can go as fast as you want." I begged and he started to laugh, licking at the blood now trickling down my throat his thrusts relentless until my mouth opened. As a cry is ripped from my throat he grunted, shuddering, and as he moaned I can feel his body tighten around me. When I feel him finally come he moaned, panting and I leaned forward resting my forehead against his. As we catch our breath and with my chest against his I can feel his heart beating as quickly as mine.
"You are something else, babe." Raja managed to say and I nodded, kissing him the moment I catch my breath. When I lower my head, brushing my lips over his neck and throat he grinned at me, cupping my chin, and as he drew me into a kiss I can already see the positive side of this demonic pregnancy.
A full month had passed, according to Raja anyway, and my belly had expanded even further making the idea that I was having twin demons very possible. Early one morning I woke to find him with his hand resting on my belly and his body coiled around mine. As I started to wonder just why he seemed so focused on my swollen belly I saw a faint smile on his lips and as I watched he chuckled, his eyes glowing in the faint light before he noticed that I was awake and staring at him.
"Melissa, I can feel them moving around now," Raja whispered, taking one of my hands and after he gently placed it on my belly I frowned slightly. "Just give it a minute. Come on little ones, let your mom know you're there." He whispered after he leaned in and as I stared at him then at my belly felt a sudden jolt and my eyes widened. "See?"
"I know they're there but this is the first time they've really moved. I usually feel a tiny flutter but that's it." I whispered, feeling tears spring to my eyes as I began to feel that same flutter though it was much stronger this time and Raja chuckled kissing the top of my head as he lay beside me.
When Gouto and Raidou returned one afternoon from visiting the Nameless Shrine in Shinoda the cat tensed, fur standing on edge as he found Raja with his body coiled around me, his hand resting on my now much more swollen belly.
"I can feel them moving around again, Melissa." Raja breathed, looking very pleased and I laughed as he felt a sudden kick. "Hey one of them kicked me." He told me and I grinned as he placed his free hand over mine smiling down at my belly.
"They're starting to respond to your voice and mine now, Raja. I'm pretty sure I'm carrying twins judging from how big I'm getting." I replied, smiling as he stared down at my belly with two bright eyes. "We should start thinking about names just so we're ready when the time comes."
"Good idea, Melissa," Raja said only to turn his head when he saw Gouto with his green eyes narrowed at us and I sighed already dreading his words.
"I warned you to be more careful with your summon, Melissa but I see my warnings fell on deaf ears. I'm sure other summoners wouldn't let their demons breed them." Gouto scolded and Raja narrowed his eyes, about to snap at Raidou's mentor until I raised my head.
"How dare you, Gouto!" I shouted, looking directly at Gouto who blinked at me tilting his head to one side as Raja wrapped an arm around my shoulders keeping me pinned against his body. "You have no right to decide what I do with my life," I added, feeling Raja running a hand through my hair in an effort to calm me.
"Gouto, do not talk to the mother of our children like that or you will regret it. She is my bonded mate and you will show her respect." Raja announced, eyes narrowed and glowing as he focused his anger on the cat who just rolled his eyes.
As Gouto headed for the hallway barely even giving me a glance Raidou sighed, moving towards the couch where I leaned against Raja the naga gently stroking my hair as I pressed my face to his chest. "It's okay, Melissa. He doesn't know any better." He whispered, soothing me as best he could but when Raidou reached us he offered me a smile.
"Melissa, Raja Naga. I can see you two are happy together and I respect your decision. Gouto will just need some time to come around to your choice. I'll try and talk to him." Raidou offered but I shook my head, wiping at my suddenly wet eyes with a faint smile.
"It's okay, Raidou. Gouto has a right to his own opinion." I replied and Raja just snorted, hugging me to his chest.
"Even if it's the wrong one?" Raja countered, hearing a muffled laugh coming from his mate a few seconds later. "Melissa, he can think the worst of us all he wants but it doesn't change a thing. You'll still my bonded mate and I'm looking forward to helping you during your pregnancy and helping you raise our litter." He added, placing an open palm over my belly and I grinned placing my hand over his.
As the days passed my appetite grew even more and soon Raidou, Gouto, and even Narumi found me sitting on the office couch eating breakfast or some of the demon fruit Raja had begun to give me from the demon realm. It became a regular thing and when I complained about being up so early one morning just to feed myself and the two demon babies taking up room inside me Raja chuckled, his tail curled around my growing waist as he handed me a snack of demon fruit.
"There's no way it's just two babies in here," I muttered between bites and Raja shrugged, reaching around before his hands settled on my shoulders. When he began to slowly rub my shoulders I smiled at him, munching away as he grinned at me. After a back rub, his hands wandered and when they came to rest on my backside I tilted my head back, giving my mate a grin. "Yeah, so my backside's grown too. Can't help it, Raja, when these two want more and more food."
"Babe, I love your backside." Raja insisted and I jerked, eyes widening as he slipped a hand under the skirt I was wearing. "Especially now that you've put on more weight." He added, grinning as I groaned the moment I felt his fingers slide into me.
"Raja, we're in the office. What if someone walks in?" I hissed at him, shuddering as he found my spot without any trouble. "But that does feel really good," I mumbled, tilting my head back and when I groaned unable to prevent it he chuckled.
"I'm more in tune with what you're thinking right now, babe and I know you want me just as badly. Besides no one's up yet at this hour except you, me, and the little ones." Raja pointed out, lowering his head towards mine and I shuddered as he ran the tip of his tongue along my neck. "We can fool around as much as you want until someone decides to interrupt us."
"Sounds perfect to me," I whispered, turning my head, and as his mouth moved to mine Raja reached for my skirt. Now naked I groaned as he grunted, his tail coiled around me as Raja thrust.
"Ohhh yeah, Melissa. Couldn't wait for me to mate with you could you?" He hissed, thrusting hard enough to pull a gasp from me which caused him to slow his eyes searching my face until I draped my arms around his back.
"Raja, I told you I can take anything so why'd you slow down?" I groaned and he broke into a smile holding me against his waist before he sped up again. I tried to contain my groans for reasons I wasn't sure of but Raja was relentless and when I cried out he grunted his seed spilling into me. "I was trying to be quiet and not wake up the whole agency," I mumbled, panting softly and Raja chuckled holding me close enough to feel his heart beating as quickly as mine.
"Hey, you're very pregnant and hormonal. Besides all that noise wouldn't wake Narumi anyway." Raja commented and I grinned, remembering the last time Raja had had sex with me in the early morning. Even when I cried out the detective hadn't even stirred and I snorted with laughter once I'd gotten my breath back. "Now not to change the subject but have you thought about names? If we don't think of some soon they'll be here."
