Chapter 1:

Former special Agent Eleanor "Ellie" Biship glanced over at her new partner of 8 months former DEVGRU Sniper turned DIA contractor Erik Walker and asked as they got out of his Competition Orange 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T 440 Six Pack, "And this guy can be trusted?"

Erik replied as he drew his black .45 ACP Nighthawk Custom Warhawk Recon TFS, "I never said he could be trusted; I just said he might know where to find Amira Hassan and her husband Tariq."

Ellie nodded as she drew her 9mm SIG SAUER P229 LEGION COMPACT and followed him inside. As soon as they stepped inside, they were grabbed from behind disarmed and thrown against a wall. Erik growled in a low deadly voice, "I'd let go of us if were you."

A cold voice came from the shadows, you are in no position to make demands Agent Walker...Oh are you surprised I know of your true identity."

Erik replied as a light was suddenly turned on, "I don't give a tinker's damn if you discovered my real identity; I never once said or portrayed I was someone else. Now where is Abdul Malik Akhtar; we worked together when I was in Bala Murghab, Afghanistan."

A deep commanding voice spoke up, "Khan what in Allah's name are you doing?"

Mukhtar Khan whirled around and saw his commander and childhood best friend Abdul Malik Akhtar storm into the room. He leveled cold eyes on the two men that were restraining Erik and Ellie and roared, "Release them immediately and return their firearms."

The two hulking brutes immediately released them and handed them back their weapons. Both agents took their firearms and holstered them. Then Akhtar said, "Please join me in my office."

They both nodded as they walked back to the back room.

When they entered Akhtar's office Erik asked as he lit a Parodi Ammezzati Natural Cigarillo, "What's the dumb shit out there?"

Akhtar replied, "Please forgive him; he greatly distrusts/dislikes the American government."

Erik nodded as he said, "I understand."

While the two men were talking Ellie was watching Erik and she liked what she saw. He stood 5'4.5" tall, and weighed 135#. He a lithe muscular build, shoulder length raven black hair that he kept in a low ponytail, a black lightweight rugged beard and intense stormy blue green eyes. He was wearing dark blue jeans, Black tooled leather cowboy boots, a tight black t-shirt, and a battered dark brown G2 leather flight jacket. He also had a black .45 ACP Nighthawk Custom Warhawk Recon TFS with a surefire X300U/A weapon light in a Black Galco HALO Belt Holster on his right hip, a highly encrypted IPHONE on his left hip, and a Microtech Halo 5 S/E OTF Automatic Knife in his right hip pocket. He also had stainless steel dog tags around his neck, a stainless-steel Rolex Submariner 16610 Date on his left wrist, and several outlaw tattoos covering his arms and back. She asked, "Do you know where Amira or Tariq Hassan are?"

Akhtar replied, "No; but I know where Amira's youngest cousin is. She is their recruiter on college campuses."

Erik asked, "Where and what is her name?"

Akthar replied, "She is living in an apartment in an upscale DC neighborhood and her name is Lila Khalili. I will send her picture and address to your phones."

Erik thanked him as they left.

Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs walked into the bullpen and sat down at his desk; He was still very thankful to Vance for returning him to duty a month ago. He took a drink of his very strong black coffee as his team walked in. He could see Nick was still seething with anger and hurting as was his senior field Agent Tim McGee. and there was the newest addition to his team Special Agent Jessica Knight; she just felt bad for her new team mates and she was still grieving the loss of her team. Gibbs asked, "Where are we on the hunt for the Hassan's?"

McGee said, "We discovered a cousin by the name of Lila Khalili; she is their recruiter on college campuses as well as online. She lures in men in their teens and early twenties."

Gibbs asked, "Do you have her LKA (Last Known Address)?

McGee replied, "Yea Boss we do."

He chuckled as he said, "Take Torress with you."

As McGee and Torress were leaving Erik glanced over at Ellie and asked, "Are you going to be okay if we run into your old team?"

Ellie locked eyes with him; she remembered eight months ago when Odette had first introduced her to the former DEVGRU sniper from Brownsville, Texas she had severely disliked him and his very brutal often inhumane methods and kept comparing him to Nick but over time she came to see that he wasn't inhumane in the slightest; she came to see his very brutal interrogation methods were very crucial in order to properly defend the country and defend national security. She replied, "I'll be fine. Thank you for worrying about me."

He nodded as they pulled up the apartment building and said as they got out of the car, "We'll hit hard and fast we'll kit up before we make entry."

She nodded as the both strapped on Level IIIa body armor and grabbed FDE 4.6 mm x 30 HK MP7A1s with Aimpoint T2 micro red dot sights and headed inside. They switched on the surefire SCOUT LIGHT PRO weapon light and proceeded up the stairs; they were halfway up the stairs when they started taking incoming fire.

McGee and Torress had just entered the building when they heard gunfire. They both drew their sidearms and cautiously headed up the stairs. The sight they saw at top of the stairs shocked them to their cores. Ellie and unknown man were trading shots with a group of five heavily armed Middle Eastern men. They both began firing at the gunman as they advanced to Ellie and the Unkown man's position. Ellie sensing movement beside her glanced quickly at both McGee and Torres and wordlessly went back to firing at the men.

Erik took in the brief interaction between Ellie and her former teammates. He yelled, "Cover me I'll get the bitch."

Ellie quickly nodded as she yelled, On 3 ready; 1, 2, 3 GO."

Erik leapt to his feet and ran in a zig zag pattern and killed three of the gunmen along the way and ducked into an alcove and watched as Ellie leapt to her feet and executed her slide move and killed the two-remaining gunmen with dead center center mass shots. Then she joined Erik. Both Torress and McGee joined them as Erik kicked in the door and button hooked into the room with Ellie directly behind him. Ellie leveled her Mp7A1 and growled. "Lila Khalili you are coming with us."

Nick said, "Actually all three of you are coming with us."

Erik let his MP7A1 fall to his chest as he quipped, "You really think so huh?"

Then his voice dropped to an icy hiss as he snarled, "I wouldn't try it if were you bub."

Both Torress and McGee were rendered utterly speechless for several minutes then McGee stepped forward and said, "We just wanna talk and compare Intel."

Ellie spoke up for the first time, "I don't think so Tim; we don't need NCIS's help we'll find Amira and Tariq Hassan by ourselves."

And with they walked out of the room.
