One shot, the class of Adrien and Marinette are taking a trip to the Eiffel Tower. Some kids are mean to Chloe and she almost gets akumatized. Marinette saves her, but not as Ladybug….

When you live in Paris, you might think that everybody there has gone to the Eiffel Tower. But that isn't true at all. Some are afraid of heights or just not interested in going to the highest tower in the world.

That is why a specific class of the school, François Dupont High school, went to take a trip to the Eiffel Tower. Marinette had been on top of the tower multiple times, as Ladybug. She couldn't tell her classmates that, but she had been to the tower before with her parents when she was just a little girl.

Adrien had the same story. Being Chat Noir, he had seen the view of the tower more times than he can count. Which is why he told them that his mother brought him there before she disappeared.

And now, the class was seated in the yellow bus, heading to the Eiffel Tower. Marinette and Alya were seated next to each other and Alya was rambling about Ladybug. That was, after all, her favourite subject. Marinette listened with fake interest. Always hearing how Ladybug was so awesome and beautiful, made her self-conscious. Sure, she is Ladybug, but no matter how many times Tikki tells her she is Ladybug and Ladybug is Marinette, she still finds it hard to believe her. Marinette puts herself lower than other people. She thinks that the safety of other people is more important than her own. I guess you could say, she has a heart of gold.

Adrien and Nino were seated in front of the two girls. Nino was just telling Adrien about a new track that he made. Nino was usually very busy with making new music and trying to become a DJ. Adrien liked to hear about his best friends' dreams and progress. He felt bad that he couldn't smile honestly. Adrien had been modelling and learning all kinds of things that his father ordered him to do. He couldn't really do what he loved to do, even if he wasn't really sure what it was. That's why being Chat Noir gave him freedom. And it also helped that he could see his Lady. Ah, Ladybug. The love of his life. Adrien wanted to know who she really was, but respected his Lady's wishes of not revealing their identities. It made him very curious, but he could wait. Especially for Ladybug.

The bus had arrived at their destination. The class happily exited the hot bus. Miss Bustier stopped them before they could enter the Tower.

"Alright class, be careful and please remember to be nice." Someone scoffed and it was none other than Lila. She turned to Chloe and smirked.

"I don't think nice is in your vocabulary, so you can already leave." Chloe fumed, but just held her head up high and huffed. The rest of the class looked at them uncomfortably. Marinette was not happy that Lila was back, but she had already told Lila what she wanted to say. It would be better to just ignore her.

Miss Bustier cleared her throat and led the class to the elevator. They went up in two groups, since the elevator couldn't fit them all in. Marinette and Alya were in the first group with Adrien, Nino, Chloe and some other kids.

Marinette wasn't really as excited as Alya, while the latter was bouncing in the elevator. "Isn't this amazing, M!? We get to see the view Ladybug always sees!" Alya exclaimed. Marinette noticed that she didn't mention Chat Noir, even though he was just as important as Ladybug.

"And Chat Noir." She added. Surprising Alya and Adrien. "Just because Ladybug can purify the Akuma, does not mean that Chat is less important." Marinette crossed her arms and sent a small glare at Alya.

"O-of course." The blogger said, suddenly very nervous. She had no idea that her friend was so fixated on Chat Noir. Alya knew he was also important, but without Ladybug, he would have probably destroyed Paris already. She decided not to voice that thought out loud and kept her mouth shut.

Adrien couldn't keep his eyes off of Marinette. Not a lot of people actually acknowledged Chat Noir. Most thought he was just a useless sidekick. He didn't show it, but that hurt. He would never jeopardise a mission because he wanted to fool around. Okay, that might have happened a couple times, but when your in love and the person your in love with is next to you, fighting in a skin tight suit, you would get distracted too.

Adrien quickly realized it was creepy to keep staring at Marinette, so he averted his gaze towards the still moving elevator.

They soon reached the top and stepped out. Miss Bustier told them to behave and went back down to get the rest of the students. The deck was big enough for the whole class to stand on and see all the parts of Paris. Adrien and Marinette both took a deep breath in to smell the fresh air. The air around Paris always felt magical somehow and it never got old to just take a deep breath in and enjoying the smell around them.

Alya and Marinette were leaning on the railing as the former was taking pictures. Nino and Adrien were on their left and talking animatedly about the structure of the tower.

Marinette suddenly noticed something out of the corner of her eyes. It was an Akuma! She nervously looked around. There was no place she could transform. The second group was still in the elevator and there was no time. It seemed like the Akuma was headed towards Chloe.

So, without thinking much about, she dashed towards the upset looking girl. "Chloe!" Marinette drew the attention to her as she sprinted towards her. She clumsily climbed the railing and caught the incoming butterfly in her hand.

All eyes were on her as she did so and they all quickly turned into ones of horror as Marinette fell backwards. "MARINETTE!" Alya exclaimed as her best friend fell down the tower. Adrien raced over and got ready to jump over, but Nino stopped him. Holding him back, while Adrien screamed out her name.

Meanwhile, the Akuma had made it's way towards the lucky charm that she got from Adrien. A purple outline became visible on her face and she could hear the voice of Hawkmoth in her head.

"Look at what we have here." His voice mused. "You sacrificed yourself for that girl. If you don't do something soon, you will die. What is your choice, Marinette Dupain-Cheng?"

Marinette chuckled, which surprised Hawkmoth. "I guess I should thank you, Gabriel Agreste." She could practically see Hawkmoth's face as she said his name. Horror and surprise.

With sheer force, Marinette used the butterfly to transform herself. Instead of the usual dark purple substance that covered you, she was covered in a pure white glow.

When the glow supressed, Angel was born. She had pure white wings that had a huge wingspan. A white long dress without sleeves. Her hair was longer and without her usual pigtails. A golden halo above her head. And her eyes stayed the same blueberry colour.

Before Angel could hit the ground, she shot upwards towards her classmates and hovered in the air. No one could take their eyes off of her. She was beautiful. Not to mention the kind and small smile she had on her face.

Alya didn't know what to do. Never before had someone changed the colour of an akumatization. Marinette must have pushed him back with all of the force she had. Her good deeds and thoughts, must have cancelled Hawkmoth out somehow. Alya couldn't wait to ask her about this.

Lila was fuming. How in the world was Marinette able to over power Hawkmoth? Much less anger? She was always in the way of her plans and no matter what, Adrien always stuck to her side like glue. He was supposed to be hers. Not Marinette's. Lila gritted her teeth and glared at Angel.

Chloe had turned into a state of shock. You would think that after all she had done to Marinette, that the latter would hate her. But Marinette just saved her. She jumped off of the fucking Eiffel Tower to catch the Akuma that was headed towards her. And here she was. Akumatized – no was she evil? It didn't look like it. She looked like an angel, figuratively and literally.

Adrien couldn't stop staring. She was mesmerizing. She was beautiful. Who had the will power to keep Hawkmoth at bay? In this moment he had forgotten all about Ladybug and wanted nothing more than Marinette's smile for him alone. Wait – It did look like she was smiling at him.

Angel moved over to Adrien and held out her hand. The smile widened slightly, but there was also sadness in her eyes. This confused Adrien, but he had no hesitation in placing his hand in hers. Some small protests were heard from the rest of his peers, but he ignored them.

Angel pulled him up and Adrien was now also hovering in mid air. He kept a tight grip on her hand, now realizing that he was as high as the Tower.

"Don't panic, Adrien." Angel's sweet voice made him look at her instead of the ground, meters beneath him. "I would never let you fall." Adrien smiled and let her pull him towards her. Angel gently took off and Adrien did not look back. Whatever powers Marinette had, he was completely taken in by her.

Their classmates looked on in shock at the two figures, that were getting farther away. Everybody was frozen to the ground and couldn't take their eyes off of Angel and Adrien. As soon as Alya had seen the Akuma herself she had started filming. She continued to do so, in her state of shock, her body automatically holding up her phone, after doing it for more than a year.

Adrien finally realized that it probably wasn't a good idea to grab a villain's(?) hand. No matter how sweet Marinette is, she could still succumb to Hawkmoth's demands. Adrien wasn't that worried. I mean, look at her now. Still that sweet, but slightly sad, smile on her face and even though she could have probably sped off, she gently pulled him with her without speeding too much.

They soon landed on Marinette's balcony and Adrien sighed a breath of relief, when his feet hit the ground. Don't get him wrong, he didn't think that Angel would let him fall to his death, but having solid ground beneath his feet was much better.

"Sorry, did I make you feel uncomfortable?" Angel asked, hearing the relieved sigh. Adrien locked his eyes with hers and for a moment he was lost. He shook his head and smiled.

"No, I was just relieved to feel the ground again." He said, tilting his head. Angel furrowed her brows and Adrien wanted to kiss that frown from her face. She stepped closer and put her hands on his cheeks.

"Are you afraid of hights? I'm sorry, I should have known. I would never drop you or hurt you, Adrien. You mean a lot to me and I want you to know that." Adrien could not help the pink hue that covered his cheeks. Even after falling off the Eiffel Tower herself, she was still worried about him, after gently taking him to her house.

He put his hands on hers and smiled. "You mean a lot to me, too." The furrow in Angel's brows ceased and she placed a soft, caring, kiss on his forehead. Adrien's cheeks turned even redder. Some part of his mind screamed that he had to transform, so that he could help her. But the other part wanted to feel those soft lips on his own.

Adrien gulped and gently took her hands off of his face. He laced their fingers together and leaned his forehead against hers. What was she doing to him? Was this a part of her powers? He could not stop thinking about kissing her. He wanted to devour her, like a cat pouncing on a mouse.

He heard Angel giggle and opened his eyes, that he didn't even know he closed. Their was a small blush on her porcelain cheeks. "I can hear your thoughts, Adrien." He stiffened and stared at her wide eyed. His face instantly turned red and he hung his head low. She heard everything. Fuck.

"I'm flattered, really." Adrien slowly raised his head to look into her eyes again, the blush still clear on his face. "But I think we need to get this Akuma away first." She winked and Adrien's eyes turned dark. That is, until he registered what she said. She wanted to get rid of her Akuma. That didn't happen a lot.

"Take the lucky charm." Her voice cut him out of his thoughts and he looked down at her right hand. The lucky charm he had made her for her birthday was wrapped around her wrist. The colours had stayed mostly the same, they just turned a shade lighter.

He carefully grabbed the charm and watching in fasciation as she turned back to Marinette. He didn't have to do anything. He just had to take it off of her body. Marinette opened her eyes and looked at Adrien a little bit dazed.

Before she could say something, a white butterfly flew out of her charm and it turned back to it's original colours. Adrien breathed a sigh of relief and couldn't help himself, when he wrapped her up in his arms.

Marinette gave a slight squeak, but soon returned the hug. "I'm so happy your back, Marinette." Adrien mumbled into her neck, sending shivers down her spine that didn't go unnoticed by him. "Do you remember what happened?" He asked, moving away slightly, but still keeping her close.

"I – I saw an Akuma heading for C-Chloe and my body moved automatically. I grabbed the butterfly, but fell of the tower. I had a shot conversation with Hawkmoth, when I felt a warm and pleasant sensation washing over me. Then it's a little bit blurry. What did I do?" Marinette asked, after recalling what she knew. Adrien smiled and told her all about how she turned into Angel and took him here.

She blushed when he told her what she sad to him and hid her face in her hands. She whined slightly and Adrien chuckled. "It's okay, Marinette." He grabbed her hands and took them away from her face. "You were very gentle and kind. If I didn't know better, I would have actually thought that you were an angel from Heaven." That made her blush even more and she whined again.

"I-It's e-embarrassing…" She muttered. Adrien chuckled again and softly kissed the tips of her fingers. Even though she was surprised, she gave him a small smile and Adrien couldn't help but smirk.

"You were also able to ready my mind and I had some…" He struggled with the right word. "Horny thoughts." His smirk widened when he saw her brain short circuit. It seems like she remembered, because not even a second later, there was a smirk on her lips as well.

"Do you want to make those thoughts come true?" Adrien spluttered and lost his cool for a second. Even though she was smirking, the blush was still evident on her face and her hands were slightly trembling.

Adrien got his composure back and didn't blink twice as he lowered his head and kissed her. Marinette gave a muffled squeak, but returned the kiss. It was a soft, chaste kiss. They still weren't that sure what was going on. Adrien put a hand on her cheek and the other on her waist. Marinette's hands travelled to his neck and she slightly scratched the back of his head.

Adrien groaned softly and that was the first step to something more. He decided to move his lips against hers and Marinette gladly returned it. It was as if their lips were meant to move together. As if they had done this before.

Adrien moved the hand that was on her cheek to her waist and pulled her closer. Marinette had now buried both of her hands into his hair and Adrien had a hard time keeping his purrs in check.

Marinette licked Adrien's bottom lip and he groaned, opening his mouth. Their tongues danced around each other, not one looking for dominance. His hands tightened their grip on her waist and Marinette slightly pulled his hair.

Between all of this, were short pants of breath before they continued with their lip locking. Adrien was on cloud nine. Never had he thought that kissing Marinette would be so addicting. Yes, he had occasionally though about her plumb, pink lips, but never did he think that he would love them so much.

Marinette's mind was hazy. She always dreamed of kissing Adrien, but to think he also wanted to kiss her. Even though she had a different appearance, he knew she was Marinette. How would he react to her, when he found out that she knew he was Chat Noir? Would he be mad? Would she scream at her? Or would he keep kissing her? Keep holding her like his life depended on it.

Marinette didn't mean to figure out who he was. But after she became the Guardian, her instincts were much sharper than before. It didn't even take her two days to figure out that Adrien was Chat Noir. She had been trying to tell him that she knew, Marinette didn't want to keep this a secret from him, but every time she tried to talk to Adrien, either Chloe or Kagami demanded his attention. Don't get her wrong, Marinette saw Kagami as one of her friends and knew that she and Adrien had been in a relationship for a while, but they had broken up for a couple weeks. And Kagami was the one that broke off their relationship.

And now, she was making out with him and she was not ashamed to say that she didn't feel any guilt at all. Adrien wanted to kiss her. She didn't force him to do anything. Yeah, she might have encouraged him to, but he wanted her. No one else. And she wanted him.

Their kisses were cut off when someone landed on her chimney. They broke apart and gaped at the purple covered figure. It was Hawkmoth. He had a very disapproving look on his face and his lips were pulled down in a scowl.

Adrien had no idea why Hawkmoth would come to them, in the daylight, but he was sure about one thing. If he even got close to Marinette, he would claw his eyes out. His grip on her waist never loosened and he growled.

Marinette couldn't help but feel happy that he was trying to intimidate Hawkmoth. By the grip on her waist, he was ready to protect her form him.

"What a lovely surprise, Hawkmoth." Marinette said, stopping the silence that washed over them. "Are you that mad that I was able to reverse the Akuma?" She asked, not a hint of fear in her voice and eyes.

"I'm here to take the Miraculous, Ladybug." Marinette stiffened slightly, while Adrien froze. He turned his head towards her, but Marinette sternly kept her gaze on Hawkmoth.

Adrien wanted to scream. He wanted to scream in happiness. His Princess and his Lady were one in the same. His dreams are all fulfilled. He can die a happy man right now. No, wait, Hawkmoth was still here. Right. Got to take him down first. Then he can die.

"What makes you think that I will give them to you? I know why you want them and I promise I will help you find a way, but if you use the Miraculous, things will only end badly." She said, surprising both father and son(although said son doesn't know).

"You know nothing. But now that I know who you are, I could take everything you love away from you. Starting with him." Hawkmoth pointed at Adrien, who growled, finally out of his frozen state.

Marinette gave a sad sigh. "You would never hurt your own son, would you?" This time, Hawkmoth froze as well. Adrien's breath stopped and he started to tremble. He gripped Marinette's waist even tighter, making her wince.

"I have no idea what –" He was cut off, by Adrien calling his transformation. He picked Marinette up and growled. This time it sounded more like a real animal. Hawkmoth took a step back and soon gave them a creepy and unstable smile.

"Adrien! This is wonderful! Now you can join me and we can take her Miraculous together!" He jumped down to the balcony and Chat Noir jumped on the railing.

"I don't know why you did this, but let me tell you one thing." Marinette could feel the anger coming off of him and she buried her face into his neck, trying to comfort him. "I will never let you take our Miraculous and I will never let you hurt Marinette." With that, he jumped off of the railing and ran as fast as he could.

He could hear Hawkmoth trying to chase after him, calling his name. But Chat didn't stop. He didn't look back. They managed to outrun him and Chat stopped at the Eiffel Tower. The class now gone.

He fell to his knees, Marinette still in his arms, and dropped his transformation. Adrien cried. He screamed and tears streamed down his face. Marinette did her best to wipe the tears away, but they wouldn't stop.

"Adrien.." His sobs were heavy and Marinette kissed his face over and over again. A different place every time. She couldn't get out of his grip since he wouldn't let her go. But, she didn't care. What Adrien needed right now, was someone to cry on. Someone to understand. And Marinette was the only one he needed right now.

"W-why… why-why did h-he…" His voice was hoarse, due to all the screaming. He tried to understand why his father would do something like this.

Marinette kissed his lips and Adrien melted into it. He immediately pushed his tongue through her lips and aggressively made out with her. Marinette let him. Even though her lips were starting to bruise, she let him push all his anger out on her. She was at least glad that it were here lips that he took his anger out on.

Eventually, Adrien sobbed again and released her lips. He put his back against the cold railing and pulled Marinette on his lap. "I'm sorry." He muttered, sadness and pain lacing his voice.

"Don't apologize." Marinette could feel him shaking his head.

"No, I shouldn't have taken my frustration out on you. I'm sorry I hurt you." He sounded miserable. Marinette put her hand on his cheek and gently made him look at her.

"You didn't hurt me. But I might have hurt you." She glanced away and Adrien furrowed his brows in confusion. "I knew you were Chat Noir, but I never got the right change to tell you. There was always something that got in the way." Adrien listened intently to her, not showing her what he was thinking.

"I also found out about Hawkmoth a couple days ago. I don't know how, but Nathalie got my number and she texted me about everything." This shocked Adrien. Nathalie was in on it too? Wait – was she Mayura? He couldn't help but groan internally. They were both under his nose and he never noticed. "At first I thought she was joking, but she even came to the bakery in person and told me everything. She looked so sick and heartbroken, Adrien." Marinette looked into his eyes again and Adrien could see the concern.

Nathalie was in on it, but it seemed as if she was done. She got sick herself and she probably saw what it did to Gabriel. If his crazy smile not to long ago was an indication of anything. Adrien just wished she had shared it with him as well. But, why would she come to Marinette? Why not to him?

"Why did she come to you?" Adrien voice his question. Marinette gave him a small smile.

"She told me that she trusted me. Because you always talked so highly about me. Because she knew that Ladybug had given met the Mouse Miraculous. It seems the security camera's of the TV studio had recorded everything." She explained. It made Adrien happy that Nathalie trusted Marinette just as much as he did.

"She was afraid to trust any of the other Miraculous holders, because Hawkmoth knew who all of them were." Adrien nodded. That's right. Marinette wasn't there when Miracle Queen attacked, because she had been right there beside him. Adrien had found it strange that he didn't see Marinette, after the battle was over. He smiled as he thought about it. His smiled faded however when he thought about the fact that Nathalie hadn't trusted him.

Marinette saw the frown and kissed in between his brows. "The reason she didn't tell you, was because she didn't want you caught up in this mess. She was protecting you from your father." Adrien began to relax after hearing that and gave her a sweet and gentle peck on her lips.

"I don't know what to think, Princess." Marinette shifted in his lap and sat between his legs, facing him. "My father is Hawkmoth, Nathalie is probably Mayura," Marinette nodded, confirming that. "and they have been doing all of this…. for what?"

"For your mother." Adrien locked eyes with her in surprise.

"My mother?" He repeated. Marinette nodded while biting her lip.

"Your mother is alive. She is in some sort of coma, because the Peacock Miraculous was damaged. She is alive and…. underneath your house." Adrien sobbed again. Marinette threw her hands around his neck and he didn't hesitate to return her embrace.

All this time. All. This. Time. Emily was underneath him. She was in the same house, for fucks sake. He longed to see his mother again and she had always been. Right. There.

"I'm sorry, Adrien. I was hoping to tell you at a better time. And I promise, I was going to tell you. I would never keep something like this from you." Adrien nodded in her neck, the tears making her shirt wet, but neither cared.

Adrien sat there. Safe in Marinette's arms for what felt like hours. It must have been hours, since by the time his sobs eased, the sun had been setting. It was starting to turn dark and Adrien was in no mood to go home.

"Princess.." His voice was hoarse and broken. Marinette looked up and held his face in her hands, her own tears streaming down her face. "I don't want to go back to the mansion." He whispered.

Marinette nodded and kissed his forehead. She shakily stood up and Adrien did the same. They had been in the same position for hours and their legs were tingly.

"Then let's go to my place." Adrien grabbed her wrist, stopping her from calling her transformation. Adrien just noticed that the Kwami's had been very quiet, but he was happy Plagg hadn't whined about cheese.

"I don't think that is a good idea either. My fath – Gabriel knows where you live. Is there a place we can go that no one knows about?" Marinette laced their fingers and thought for a second. He was right. She couldn't go back to the bakery. She just hoped that her parents were okay.

"Follow me." She suddenly said, calling her transformation. Adrien copied her and they took off.

It had been a couple days since then. Adrien and Marinette were safely in the old studio of Master Fu. Even in Gabriel knew about this place, he wouldn't think to look here. They had quickly grabbed some clothes from Marinette's room and also the Miracle Box. Adrien had a separate bank account that Gabriel didn't know. Nathalie knew, but he didn't think she would snitch them.

They put on disguises every time they went out and always went together. Wayzz took care of the studio while they were away and made sure the Box was hidden. Even though things weren't that well, Marinette and Adrien weren't letting go of each other. They loved each other and nothing could get between them anymore.

The news had been crazy. The video Alya made of Marinette turning into Angel went around incredibly fast. It showed how she transformed and took Adrien away. Since they was no more news about them, people thought that she had kidnapped him or even killed him. There was no sign of Ladybug or Chat Noir either after her 'Akumatization'.

The people of Paris began to worry and since there was no word about either Adrien or Marinette, they thought the worst. Sabine and Tom were devastated, but strong. They knew their daughter would never hurt the boy she loved, even if she was furious. She would never.

Alya didn't know what to think. She was sure that Marinette had no mean bone in her body. And she tried to make herself belief that they would return, but after three days, she wasn't so sure anymore. Marinette didn't look like a villain after she transformed and she tried to keep that judgement strong, when everyone else talked shit about her.

But, Alya had started to belief it herself. She was unable to get into contact with Ladybug and Chat Noir. This scared her. What if Marinette had killed the heroes? What if they heroes had lost and she had their Miraculous? Marinette had been very suspicious these last few weeks. What if she had been working with Hawkmoth for a while? That would explain her need to push everyone away. But why take Adrien? So that she could have him as her own?

Alya had tried to focus on school and what not, but it was almost impossible. Nino wasn't fairing any better, but he didn't show it as clearly as Alya.

Lila was scared. She had not heard from either Gabriel and Hawkmoth for the past days. She had no idea what happened, but she was sure that it had something to do with the disappearance of Adrien and Marinette. She kept telling everyone that she was afraid what Marinette would do to her boyfriend. And like usual they all ate it up pretty easily.

Some people didn't belief her at first, but as they days past on, they surrounded Lila like she was their life line. She loved the attention, but she wanted answers.

Gabriel had stopped. He stopped his Akumatization's. Nathalie had been by his side, but he wanted her to leave. There was only one other person who knew he was Hawkmoth, other than himself, and that was Nathalie. She must have told the Dupain-Cheng girl everything. He wanted to sack her, or even kill her, but Nooroo kept him sane.

He told Gabriel exactly what Nathalie was afraid of. He was losing his sanity. This made him lock himself up in his study and only come out to eat. It was very bad for his mental health, but Gabriel was lost.

Marinette opened her eyes and sighed. She looked to her right and saw Adrien curled up into her side. She smiled and placed a soft kiss on his forehead. He hummed and lazily opened his eyes as well.

"Morning, My Lady…" He mumbled, with a small smile. Marinette giggled and shuffled closer to him.

"Morning, Kitty. How are you?" She asked, stroking his cheek. Adrien frowned slightly and closed his eyes.

"I don't know. I want to say that I'm okay, but I'm just not." He groaned thinking about everything. It was all more bearable with Marinette at his side, but that didn't mean it wasn't hard.

His father was a maniac. His mother was in a coma under their house. And his father's assistant was sick and all in on it. So, no. He was not okay.

"It takes time, Adrien. Trust me. We just need to stick together. You and me against the world, right?" She smiled and Adrien couldn't help but feel a bit lighter, also smiling.

"You and me against the world." He muttered, kissing her. Marinette melted into the kiss and happily reciprocated. They kissed for a while and caressed each other.

Eventually, Adrien pulled away and sat up. Marinette followed him to the makeshift kitchen and she made some simple omelettes. It was as if they were already living together and it was peaceful and sweet. Besides the fact that everything was messed up in their heads and all of the news was convinced that Marinette was a killer. They just ignored that.

Tikki was slightly worried about it. She knew that Marinette always thought things through and acted as if not a lot of things could hurt her. But that was far from the truth. She was a mess and her thoughts were even worse. She did know that Adrien made it all better. She could practically feel the love radiating from him and knew that Marinette was happy. She just couldn't help but think that they both pushed the last battle, that was about to come, away.

Plagg was worried as well. He met Adrien after his mother had disappeared and back then, he was already easily sad and scared. He knew that having Marinette with him, was the only thing keeping him standing at this point. That scared him. He knew that the last battle was coming, but what if it ended bad? What if one of them got hurt? They would not stay sane. He was sure of that. He just hoped that they would do something soon.

Unbeknownst to the Kwami's, Marinette and Adrien were already making a plan of attack. It was true that they looked exhausted, but that was because they have been planning at night, instead of sleeping. While the Kwami's slept, the superhero duo was busy planning.

Adrien knew his father was a step away from losing his sanity. They were going to use that. That was the reason why they were waiting. Yes, Marinette and Adrien were also slightly unstable, but they have been for more than a year.

Fighting people with crazy powers, might seem fun. But it leaves scars. Visible and invisible. Since their first fight, their minds have been scattered and unstable. At first it wasn't noticeable, but after more battles, Marinette had noticed that her mind was even more jambled that usual.

She always overthinks things, but it even got worse after a couple battles. Marinette knew this of herself and meditated when Tikki was asleep. Doing her best to hide it so that her little friend wouldn't worry.

Adrien was already aware that his mind was fucked when his mother disappeared. It became better once he went to school and made friends, but becoming a superhero gave him more scars. But, Adrien knew that if his Lady was by his side then everything would be okay.

They were both leaning on each other and kept each other sane.

Marinette shivered slightly as she stood in front of her school. She was wearing a hoodie and black pants, with sneakers. Her hair was out of her pigtails to make it easier for the hood to stay on and a black facemask. Adrien was next to her in the same getup and held her hand tightly.

They were on the other side of the road, in the park, looking over at all the students rushing in. It was time to show everyone that Adrien and Marinette were alive and well. They knew that as soon as they stepped into the school, people would be notified and so would Gabriel.

They were waiting for Alya to come, so she could immediately film it, or something close to that. Plus, Marinette wanted to see if Alya still cared. She knew that Alya would never just abandon her like that, but she needed to know what she thought about everything.

Lila was also still at large and she didn't trust her as far as she could throw her.

Adrien nudged her and she snapped out of her thoughts as she saw Alya walking towards the school with Nino. She tightened the grip on his hand and they started walking. Because of their black clothes, they were noticed by the remaining people in the front yard.

As predicted, Alya whipped out her phone and started to record. She jogged towards them and before she could ask questions, obviously not fearing for her life while Nino looked like he was having a heart attach, Marinette and Adrien pulled down their hoods and removed their masks.

Alya stopped dead in her tracks and stared at the with wide eyes and an open mouth. The rest of the students that were still there gasped and Lila fumed. She saw that their hands were intertwined and growled.

All Marinette and Adrien gave were emotionless stares. Not giving away how nervous they both were, except for their trembling hands.

"M-Marinette… A-Adrien…" Alya stuttered out. Marinette gave her a soft smile and Adrien sighed.

"Get Adrien away from that witch!" Lila suddenly yelled, surprising everyone. Alya suddenly remembered that Marinette was an Akuma the last time she saw her and sprinted over to them. She tried to pry their hands apart, but Marinette and Adrien just stepped backwards. Adrien grabbed her waist and glared at Alya, letting out a growl.

Alya was surprised, but more people started to surround them. Why did they think it was a good idea. Clearly everyone was under the influence of Lila. Marinette gave Alya the meanest glare she could muster and the latter shivered under her gaze.

"Glad to know we are welcomed back." Adrien hissed. Shocking everyone again. He never used a tone like that before. Maybe it was Marinette's power.

"Adrien," Alya spoke up, slowly walking closer. "Marinette has you under a spell of some kind. You need to snap out of it and let us take her." Adrien growled and Marinette looked at her feet. Everyone thought she was still Akumatized.

"The only spell Marinette has over me, is the one of love." Gasps were heard and Marinette couldn't help but blush. "And this is purely our love for each other, not some kind of magic spell. She isn't even Akumatized anymore." Adrien hissed out, pulling Marinette closer to his chest.

"Adrien you don't understand," Alya began again, getting frustrated. "Ladybug and Chat Noir are no where to be seen after Marinette got Akumatized. She must have done something to them. Where would they be? They wouldn't abandon us!" She exclaimed.

Adrien clicked his tongue and looked at his Lady. "Are we going to do it now? They wouldn't believe us otherwise." Marinette sighed and nodded.

"What do you mean?!" Lila yelled, now standing next to Alya. "Adrien, my love, come back to me." She said in a sweet voice, the kind that makes you want to vomit.

"I'm not in love with you, Lila. Marinette is my love." Adrien glared at Lila. Lila's – probably lie – was cut off when a fancy car rounded the corner. Adrien and Marinette automatically smirked, scaring the crap out of everyone around them.

Gabriel Agreste stepped out of the vehicle. His hair was dishevelled and his clothes wrinkled. His eyes were tired and he had his red and white shawl off, so you were able to see his Miraculous. He walked over to the students in front of the school and stood behind Marinette and Adrien.

They turned around and stared at Gabriel. "Adrien, you need to return home." He said. Adrien snorted and slowly released Marinette.

"That place hasn't been my house for a year. I don't care where I'm going to live, as long as Marinette is with me." His glare hardening. Gabriel growled. They're classmates not saying a thing, not really understanding why Adrien was so harsh towards his father. Or that might just be Marinette's power.

"We can save her, just give me the jewels." Gabriel grounded out. Adrien smirked. Marinette chuckled.

"Never." They both said at the same time.

"Plagg, Claws Out!"

"Tikki, Spots On!"

Everyone stared on in shock as Adrien and Marinette transformed into Chat Noir and Ladybug. Alya collapsed on the ground and stared at them eyes open wide. Lila got over her shock quickly and did her best to keep herself from pouncing on them and taking their Miraculous. Nino gaped, but soon shook his head and chuckled. Well that explained everything.

"Give us the Butterfly Miraculous, Gabriel Agreste. We promise to help you with your wife, but using our Miraculous would only bring more disaster." Ladybug exclaimed, holding out her hand. Chat Noir stood next to her, cool as a cucumber.

"I will not give you anything!" Gabriel yelled out, and transformed.

"Then we have no choice."

Adrien snuggled close to his girlfriend as they were laying in the latter's bed. Marinette had her fingers curled in his hair, which made Adrien purr. He smiled at her and she kissed him. Adrien melted into the kiss, as his purr's intensified.

The battle was short. Gabriel was quickly breaking down. He didn't stand a change against the well rested heroes. Gabriel had been skipping meals and taking less care in himself. He was tired fatigued and overall crazy. He had lost his sanity and soon crumbled.

Ladybug and Chat Noir had quickly taken his Miraculous and let the police take Gabriel away. They raced towards the Agreste mansion and Nathalie showed them the secret rooms, before being taken by the police as well.

Adrien took one look at his mother and broke down. Marinette also couldn't help the tears in her eyes, but hugged her partner tightly. Paramedics had taken Emily away and they were able to stabilize her more in the hospital. Since Adrien was the only one able to make the decisions now, he asked for them to wait.

Marinette and Adrien were still looking for a cure, but were getting closer everyday. They visited the hospital after their online classes and talked to Emily about everything.

After everything that happened, Sabine and Tom refused to let Marinette go back to school. She didn't mind, Adrien wasn't going back either and she wanted to be with him. Alya and Nino were heartbroken, but Marinette didn't let them in her house.

After Alya, not only listened, but acted on Lila's orders, she wasn't sure if she could ever forgive her. Nino was better, but he didn't stop Alya either. It hurt, but Adrien didn't want to see him either.

So, Marinette and Adrien were now home-schooled by the former's parents. Sabine and Tom were very good teachers and they also took online lessons in a different school.

The whole world now knew that Marinette and Adrien were Ladybug and Chat Noir. It didn't matter. Hawkmoth was gone and even if a new thread showed up, they had each other and right now….

That was all they needed.

Holy shit! I did not think it would go this way. I just had in mind that Marinette would jump off of the Eiffel Tower after catching an Akuma. I didn't think it would be so emotional and kind of angsty. Well, that was this one. I'm probably going to make more One Shots like this, because my mind is a fucking mess as well.

Shadow Out!
