Crystal Heart Ain't Cursed!

Summary:
Is Crystal Heart truly cursed? Playmaker and co. tempt fate and find out!
Crystal Heart is cursed. Regardless of what card the Heart of the Ocean and its name appeared on, playing it is guaranteed FAIL.
Earth, Go, and Aoi were victims of this tragic symbol. They'd each gotten into hot water, drowned under the weight of the card's cascading bad luck.
But Playmaker didn't believe the argument held water.
Neither did Kusanagi-san.
Neither did Ghost Girl.
Soulburner. Boy, he believed! He believed, logged out, and didn't show his face for days. All from merely hearing the others discuss it!
To dispel the superstition, Playmaker held the card in LINK VRAINS.
The card wasn't loaded with a computer virus. There was no five-pointed sea star. No supernatural bubble circle or bubbling bubble ring at play.
Was Playmaker in a car accident? Did he lose his next Duel?
No, Playmaker was in the clear.
Ghost Girl too. She held the card longer to demonstrate to Blue Maiden that the prior incidents were all coincidences.
Was Ghost Girl cut down? Did she lose her next Duel?
Well, both those things happened, but they were prior to the current case.
Currently, it was the opposite, in fact. Emma-san finally won a Duel where her opponent wasn't a total n00b.
Kusanagi-san analyzed the card's code.
Was he pulled under? Did his brother's recovery take a dive?
No, the card didn't make waves.
They were all of them fine.
But the next day was a change in the water.
The circulation had changed. The cascade began.
Brave Max learned Playmaker's identity. Shima followed Yusaku at school.
Ghost Girl accepted a vice presidential assignment, and found herself treading water in an unwinnable stream of losses yet again.
Kusanagi-san's hot dog business received a health code violation.
Soulburner emailed it was a stupid decision, and it was, 'cause he got burned too.
Argonauts on a blasted quest. Learning to fear a power beyond disbelief.
Aoi password-locked the Deck for safety.
Crystal Heart.
Cursed!
