A/n: As promised here is the new Isekai story. To go ahead and clear a few things up. Yes, there is a system for the oc however it is not a 'become an op god in a week' system. Also the OC will be darker. The best I could describe him is like a less bloodthirsty Sukuna who was stated as living according to his own pain and pleasure.
This is taking place in an AU so that means Alfia and Zald stayed behind to help raise Bell, the Astraea familia is alive, there will be several new characters from other anime series and even some video games.
This will most likely be a harem story so comment who you would like to see in the harems.
Finally, dear lord I will not be including Hestia in any ship as honestly I. Hate. Her. Also this story is just for fun, but by all means send some comments my way it's always fun to read feedback and I feel it definitely helps me grow as a writer.
Well thank you and enjoy.
Disclaimer: I own nothing.
Third person P.O.V
A young man opened his eyes groggily only for them to be filled with a bright light. As he started to stand up his eyes began adjusting to the light. He didn't know where he was, as he looked around it was obvious he was in some kind of room. However the room was pure white with no exit, honestly he wasn't sure where the walls where either. He shook his head as if trying to clear his thoughts.
"Where the hell am I?" He spoke to no one in particular.
"Oh your finally conscious!"
He whirled around in surprise at the sudden voice only to find no one there. "Who said that?!" He shouted as he started looking around.
"I did." The voice replied. However this time it bounced around the room as if coming from every direction.
"Who are you? Where are you?" The young man asked he was starting to get a little freaked out.
"Ah right here this should help." The voice stated before suddenly a bright golden light shine in front of the young man. Out of the light stepped a rather young man. He looked young however the young man could just tell he was wise beyond his looks. "As for my name well you knew me as god."
"Oh that kinda mak...What!?!? Am I dead?!"The young man shouted in panic.
"Yep, here this should help you remember." God stated snapping his fingers.
The young man held his head as his memory suddenly began to clear. He remembered walking home from work. He stopped at a crosswalk and just as the light changed a woman with a stroller in front of him began to walk across not seeing the oncoming truck. He had rushed out and pushed the woman and stroller out of the way. The next thing he knew was extreme pain and then nothingness. "I'm really dead." He mumbled to himself.
"Yep, though since you were kinda young and you did save two lives I decided to give you a second chance." god stated. "First off let's get your appearance and name out of the way."
As he said that a full body mirror appeared in front of the young man. As he looked in the mirror he took in his new appearance. He had a lean yet athletic build, dark black hair that was cut short, and electric blue eyes. He was roughly one hundred eighty-two centimeters tall and had slightly pale skin.
"Wow I like the new look, thanks. As for my name I think I'll go with Ichigo Rei." The now named Ichigo stated before adopting a questioning look. "So what do you mean by second chance?"
god smiled " I am sending you to a different universe with a few surprises. I will be granting you the choice of what universe, however be warned it will not be the exact version of the universe you may be familiar with. What I give you will be determined by what universe you choose."
Ichigo put his had to his chin as he thought hard. "I choose the universe of Danmachi. Oh and as a small request don't make me outright op I prefer to work my way up."
god nodded approvingly "Would you like to change your race? Currently you are one hundred percent human." He questioned quizzically.
Ichigo thought for a moment "Yes, I would like to remain eighty percent human and the remaining twenty percent I would like to be high elf. That way I will have enough elven blood in me to live considerably longer."
"Oh right there is a condition for being sent to this world however." God stated
"What sort of condition?"
"You need to be a neutral character. Someone that walks back and forth between good and evil. Basically do as you feel like whenever you feel like it."
"Okay, I accept."
god clapped his hands loudly in what Ichigo assumed was glee if the massive grin was anything to go by. "Perfect, well then this is goodbye." He then snapped his fingers and everything went black for Ichigo.
*Scene change*
Ichigo P.O.V
"Ughh where the hell am I?" I groaned as I woke up. Once again a bright light blocked my vision as I opened up my eyes. However the difference this time was that the light felt warm so I was sure it was the sun.
Finally my vision cleared up enough so that I could see I was in a small forest clearing. I stood up carefully still a little woozy from...well dying and coming back to life I guess. My head shot up 'wait I've just been Isekaid.' I thought to myself as I started to laugh a little.
I then heard a strange noise as if something had just materialized out of thin air. I look around to see a small floating orb in front of me. It was a blue sphere that seemed to be held together by a thick metallic claw as in the center seemed to be black glass with a sort of 'eye' if you would. "Ahh good your awake." It stated in an friendly yet synthesized voice.
"Ummm hi who are you or what are you?" I asked before realization dawned on me. "Wait your a ghost."
"Yes that is correct I am a ghost usually used by what you recalled as guardians. However I was assigned by the supreme one to be your partner instead to assist you in this universe."
I looked at the orb quizzically "So what your saying is that everything fictional in the world I came from was actually real in a different universe. Holy shit that means the multiverse theory was correct." I replied though I stated that last part to my self.
"That is correct however your universe was a special case. It served as a universe where the stories of all these other universes were told."
"Wait you said supreme one, I thought the only thing close to a deity you knew was the Traveler?" I asked. If I remembered correctly out of the countless video games, manga, and television I watched.
"That is correct, I was only aware of the traveler however the deity you simply call 'god' is in fact the ruling deity of the entire multiverse. It is very rare that he intervenes in any way from what I could gather." The orb replied.
"So do you know what he gave me? We're in a universe of gods and monsters so I assumed he gave me a sort of skill. I just need to join a familia to activate it." I stated.
"Actually you are partially correct. While you were napping I scanned you and updated your character sheet. This is a special system he gave you in addition to two skills. The character sheet essentially enhances the falna system. Would you like to see it?"
"Yes, please." I stated.
"Hold out your left hand."
I did so just as I remembered how the guardians did to access their huds. When I did the ghost appeared floating just above my palm as a screen appeared in front of me. Noticing the stat points I immediately put points into each of my desired traits. I also see a second and third tab on the screen that ghost has provided. The second pops up and reads as a quest menu. If I had to guess, quests will automatically be given when specific events occur. The third tab appears to be simply a dimensional storage. Inside the storage there seemed to be a book of sorts that I decided I would read later. There was also an icon that looked similar to a dagger.

"Wow." I stated out loud. "That's interesting, but what exactly is different from the character sheet and the traditional falna?" I asked the ghost.
"Well beside the obvious changes the character sheet also does not require you to perform an incredible act to level up. You only need to gain the required experience or in this world exilia. There is also the fatigue meter when you gain too much your attacks are less effective and you have less stamina." Ghost stated
"Wow that's pretty useful." I stated before looking at ghost who was floating in front of me. "Do you have a name?" I asked which surprised the ghost.
"What?" It asked surprised.
"If we're going to be partners than I need something to call you other than ghost." I stated.
"I do not have a name I am simply a ghost." It stated. I felt like I could hear a hint of sadness in its robotic voice.
"Hmmm" I thought to myself for a few minutes. "How about Castiel. In a show I used to watch he was an angel that helped these two brothers by giving advice. That's basically what ghosts do so how about it?" I asked
"Castiel, I like it." The newly named Castiel stated.
"Good I suppose we should find a way out of this forest." I stated.
"I took several scans of the area and have found a road leading to a small village. The road is seven hundred meters north. The village is then one kilometer to the left. Estimated travel time is roughly half an hour."
"Alright let's get going." I stated as I pulled the dagger out of storage and started out north.
I walked for about ten minutes and the road was in sight. However just before I got there I saw something out of the corner of my eye. I turned to see a cave. There was something about it that seemed strange to me.
"Castiel, that cave do you know anything?"
"No I detected it during my scans, however I was unable to get any detailed information from a general area scan. I would need to be closer."
I nodded in response and began walking closer to the cave. When I was finally standing at the mouth of the cave i heard what sounded like footsteps. Suddenly a little green monster shot from the cave in an attempt to hit me. I jumped back as Castiel materialized and began scanning the monster.
"Goblin a small green monster considered to be the weakest of all monsters."
The goblin tried to rush me again, but it seemed slow. I moved behind it and used my free hand to smash its head in the ground before thrusting my dagger through its eye socket and into the brain killing it. The dead goblin then exploded into a cloud of black dust.
"Well that was easy. Castile how much xp did the goblin give me?" I asked
"The goblin gave you one xp point."
"Okay so what is this cave because it's definitely not normal."
"One moment scanning. The cave appears to be called a breach or in other words a location on the surface where larger groups of monsters spawn from. It seems that this cave breach descends down into three floors. Oh you have a new quest as well."
"What's the quest?"
"Clear the breach, the rewards are one hundred-fifty xp, three stat points, and a random box. Would you like to accept, personally I think it's a great idea especially if all you have to fight are those little goblins."
I stopped and thought for a moment. At this point I was definitely stronger than an average person and goblins were the weakest monster even more so that these were on the surface. On the other hand I don't know if there will be anything other than goblins and right now all I have is a dagger. Not to mention the numbers may be a problem. Before I could make a decision Castiel spoke up.
"I would recommend reading the book of knowledge you have in your inventory before proceeding any further though."
I looked at him confused "book of knowledge?"
"Yes, I do not know what the contents are however your inventory defines it as 'a book containing basic knowledge'."
I nodded and backed away from the cave so that I was just in the forest edge. This way whatever comes out won't immediately see me.
"Go ahead and accept the quest and we'll get to it after I check out this book."
I opened the storage and removed the book. There was no title so I opened the book and on the first page there was a note.
'This is a little bonus from me. Inside this book is a list of basic knowledge of the world you are in that you wouldn't know. There is also a special section I included however for more of the advanced stuff you need to find more of these books that are scattered around the world'.
-from god.
I then flipped to the next page and as I read the words started to disappear startling me before everything disappeared entirely.
For a few moments I sat there wondering what happened before the information came forward. "Oh so the knowledge book worked like a grimoire." I realized what had happened and held my head as the information gave me a slight headache.
Sorting through all of the new information it seemed the book was an overview of the world. It included information on breaches stating they are areas that spawn larger amounts of monsters, but only spawn one to three different species. It also included information on basic combat and survival tips. The final section was more of a collection of crafting recipes for several items.
"You now have access to a new menu."
"Let's see it." I stated repeating the process I did earlier. When the menus appeared I opened the new fourth tab that was titled 'crafting' where I saw multiple craftable items. Under each item I could see the required components. I could also see that there was a crafting time for how long it would take to finish making them. There were only a few such as lesser health tonic, lesser mind tonic, bandages, simple iron dagger, simple iron sword, hunting bow, quiver, and arrows.
"Wow, Castiel how do I craft these items? I can only see the required components and crafting time."
"As long as you have the materials within your inventory you simply need to select the item you wish to be crafted. From what I can tell only you will be able to do this as I am acting as a sort of portable semi-fabricator."
"Good to know, thanks for the heads up. Did any of your scans pick up any of the ingredients listed for the lesser health tonics?"
"Unfortunately no, it seems that the health tonic ingredients will be easy to spot however. The first ingredient is yarrow which should be relatively easy to spot. The second ingredient is ginseng."
After talking to Castiel I looked around the area. Within an hour I was able to find ten of the ginseng and twenty of the yarrow. The yarrow was easy to spot as it had white petals with a yellow middle. The ginseng on the other hand was more annoying as it was actually a root that was not as easy to spot as I had first thought. While looking I also found that apparently tonics were a much lesser version of potion that could only be ingested instead of covering the injury as well. I put the items in my inventory and proceeded to the crafting menu. I selected the lesser health tonic and set to craft exactly ten of them. The tonics began crafting and the timer stated it would take ten minutes in total, a minute for each tonic, so I sat where I had read the book and watched the breach entrance.
Ten minutes later and I was once again walking up to the breach. Unlike previously however I didn't stop I walked into the cave. As I walked through the cave my eyes Gradually adjusted to the poor light. On the walls of the cave I could see small crystals that emitted small amounts of light which certainly helped. I finally came to a small staircase that descended into the first floor.
"You ready Castiel?"
"I was born ready, or well you know created ready."
I smiled "Then let's go." I stated as I descended into the breach. As I stepped off the staircase on the first floor I could already see a group of about four goblins. I walked forward until they noticed me. When they did I ran into the group. I kicked the first goblin into the second. I then used my dagger to slash the third goblins throat and continued my cutting motion from the slash to stab the dagger into the fourth goblins head. After killing the third and fourth I turned my attention to the first and second goblins that were clumsily trying to stand back up. Something I didn't allow as I stomped on the throat of the first and plunged my dagger into the eye of the second killing both of them.
"Four goblins and four more xp. This is going to take a while." I stated out loud as I put the magic stones into my inventory.

Two hours later
I have been in this cave for two hours and I just cleared the second floor. The breach was more difficult than I had originally thought though the amount of xp I'm getting isn't bad. In the first floor alone I had killed nearly thirty goblins. Now just finishing the second floor I had cut through a definite fifty. While they were certainly the weakest monster to exist goblins were a pain in the ass in packs. After my initial encounter I continually came into more and more of the little bastards. It also didn't help that my dagger was starting to go dull already. Midway through floor two and I was being forced to either physically crush or stab though the eyes of little monsters. That had lead to the goblins actually being able to scratch and in some cases cut me with their claws. Unfortunately that meant I had to use three of the tonics I had prepared. While the tonics did their job to a degree I asked Castiel to remind me to craft bandages next time as well.
"Ichigo, before you continue I want to let you know a few things."
"What's up Castiel?"
"First, I performed another scan while you were fighting that last group. The next floor opens up into a large cavern. Second, I was reviewing the information received from the book. I believe there are hidden clues to the locations of other books of knowledge."
"What kind of clues? Isn't that something I should have picked up on since I literally downloaded the information?"
"Not necessarily, you are a mortal being. While I am sentient I am also a computer and therefore can process data. That is why you received a headache when the information was 'downloaded' into your memory."
"That kinda makes sense. Can you decipher the clues?"
"Please, this is child's play. I just need to concentrate so you're on your own for a little bit."
"Fine, anything goes wrong I'll contact you." I stated as I started down the stairs. When I got to the bottom the floor did indeed open up to reveal a rather large cavern.
I started to walk towards the center of the room when I heard a cracking sound. I looked around to find I was now surrounded by close to thirty goblins and a new monster I was unfamiliar with. It looked similar to the other goblins however it was much larger probably the size of an average person. It was also wielding a two handed axe. Looking just past it I saw the corpse of an adventurer where it must have taken the axe from.
"Castiel you just had to leave me when the fun begins."

Third person P.O.V
Outside of the breach just in front of the cave three people stood. The first was a human that had dark brown hair. Wore leather armor and had a greatsword hanging off his shoulder.
The second was a cat person with dirty blonde hair. He wore a simple tunic with a metal chest piece. On his hip rested an iron short sword.
The last memeber of the group was a woman. A dark elf to be exact. She had long light purple hair and amber eyes. She wore knee high leather boots, short adventurers shorts, and finally a white and gray shirt that did its best to hide her modest bust. She had a set of daggers sheathed on her belt.
"So this is where those monsters are coming from." The dark haired human stated with a scowl across his face.
"Pathetic villagers couldn't even handle a couple of goblins." The cat person sneered while laughing. "They better pay us well for this."
"They're weakling last they'll pay one way or another." The human stated with a sadistic grin.
"Let's go." The dark elf stated as she began walking into the cave.

First person P.O.V
I kicked another goblin into three more as I plunged my dagger into the chest of a fourth. All four exploded into clouds of black dust as I ducked and rolled to the right just avoiding the axe that went by my head.
Twenty minutes and thirty dead goblins later I was left with the final monster. I guess it could be called an orc of sorts as I had never seen something like it. I was also down to my last three tonics. My dagger would better serve as a butter knife at this point as well.
I was panting hard trying to catch my breath. I had quite literally spent the last twenty minutes rolling, punching, and kicking. My dagger was used only to deflect the attempts by the orc to split me in half with its looted axe.
"Urggg" I grunted out as I dodged another strike. I stood up after having rolled out of the way.
I charged the orc and as it swung its axe to right I jumped over the swing and punched the orc in the jaw. It flinche backwards as I dropped my dagger. I then moved my leg behind the orcs and tree my arms around its neck. As I hung on tightly it dropped its axe and started to struggle. My grip on its neck tightened as it slammed backwards crashing me into a stone pillar.
The orc shook violently as I moved to grip the sides of its head while my arms were around its neck. Finally there was a very audible snap as the orcs neck gave way.
Letting go I fell backwards onto my back as the orc fell forwards disappearing into dust.
"Fuck, that bastard didn't want to die."
Just then Castiel materialized "I'm back Ichi-, what the hell happened to you!?"
"Orc, thirty goblins, I won." I got out in between pants.
"Well congratulations you completed your first quest and in total earned a whopping two hundred and fifty xp. You have also earned a random box, these box's may contain anything from skills, magic, items, stat points, armor, weapons, or crafting recipes. In addition there are different box types that have different rewards however we can get to that later the random box has been sent to your inventory."
I nodded in acknowledgement as I took out a tonic and proceeded to down it. I waited a few minutes before I stood up, collected my dagger, and proceeded to put it back inside my inventory. I then took out the random box. As I opened the box it seemed to shatter.
"Castiel what happened?" I asked. I was really hoping I wasn't just punked.
"You have received a new skill. Here is the updated status."

"Wow." I stated out loud.
"Seems a little ominous, but it could also be beneficial at the same time." Castiel stated.
That is one incredible skill. Though it probably won't work on anyone substantially stronger than me. Still that opens up a whole lot of options in the future. I looked around and saw that there were still a lot of magic stones from the monsters I had killed still lying on the ground. I sighed as I started picking up the stones and placing them into my inventory.
Just as I started I heard clapping coming from the entrance to the third floor. I spun around defensively as I saw three figures approaching. One was a blonde cat person, the second was a human wearing leather armor, the third was a female dark elf.
The man wearing leather armor spoke first "Well look here Dre, Yao, someone did our job for us."
The cat person spoke up next "Yep, he was even kind enough to start collecting our magic stones."
I started getting myself ready it was obvious that these three were not the friendly sort. I looked towards the dark elf and noticed she had already started taking out her daggers.
"If I were you I would go ahead and walk out of here nice and easy. Tell you what we'll even give you a nice head start." The cat person sneered.
"You both talk to much." The dark elf finally stated.
The human scoffed as he held his greatsword on his shoulder. "Please, one against three I like our odds."
Hearing that I smirked slightly. They're overconfident which is good especially since I can't sense a falna on any of them.
The cat person saw me smirk apparently as he started laughing and walked over. "Ha I don't think you fully realize the situation your in punk." He stated as he stood on my right side and threw an arm around my shoulder. "You see we ar-".
He didn't get any farther as I activated my bloodlust skill. He froze in place with a look of shock and terror as I slowly grabbed the sword he had at his waist and proceeded to take his head off.
The other two stood there in shock as I turned around and focused my attention on them. The dark elf's eyes widened as she drew her daggers. The human on the other hand was a mixture of shock and rage as he ran at me, his greatsword held above his head. As he brought it down I dropped the sword I had used to decapitate the cat person and side stepped the heavy and sloppy attack. I then used my left leg to kick down on his leg where there was a loud audible crack. The human let out a blood curdling scream as he held where the bone was sticking out of his leg trying desperately to fix it.
"Were you really expecting three wannabes with no falna to beat me?" I asked lazily with a sadistic smirk. It was a chapter of that book that came back to me that unhinging your opponent mentally was a great advantage in defeating them. I didn't let him answer as I stood behind him and snapped his neck.
Finally I focused on the dark elf. She was in far more terror and shock at seeing he compatriots so easily dispatched. "And then there was one."
I stated as I slowly walked towards her.
"S-stay back!" She yelled as she slowly backed away from me as I inched closer with every step.
"I-I mean it I'll k-kill you!!" She yelled trying to collect her nerves. Little did she know I was focusing my bloodlust skill solely on her.
She ran at me trying to slash me with her right dagger. I grabbed her arm and twisted it behind her back forcing her to drop the dagger which I then kicked away. I pushed her toward causing her to stumble.
"Were you three really mercenaries or were you children playing?"
She stood up and tried to stab me with her other dagger. I grabbed her left hand and twisted it over her head. She let out a muffled gasp of pain as I punched her in the stomach sending her to her knees.
"P-please d-d-on't kill me." She got out as she looked up at me presuming me to be her executioner.
"You really are pathetic aren't you?" I asked as she hung her head as if accepting her fate.
"P-please I'll do anything." She sobbed out.
It always amazed me how fast even the most stoic person could be reduced to a quivering mess in the face of certain doom. Just as I thought that a lightbulb went off inside my head.
I kneeled down to her level and cupped her chin, I could feel her body tense at my touch. I slowly moved her head up to make eye contact as I questioned her. "Anything? What if I were to give you a second chance, on one condition of course?"
Her eyes widened as she sat there for a minute. I calmly awaited her answer.
With shaky breath she responded. "Y-yes I would gladly do anything you wish of me."
"Good, you see I have a new skill."
"A-a skill?" She asked still shaken up.
"Yes, you see it basically allows me to make someone my slave. They gain this special mark that makes them comply with my orders. It also allows the slave the ability to have a form of advanced falna one that doesn't require a deity until after level three." I paused allowing her to take in the information.
"My offer is this, I can use this skill on you and you can become my partner, not my slave. I will treat you as my partner unless you lose my trust. In exchange you gain this advanced falna so to speak, which if I'm correct allows for much quicker growth than a normal adventurer. I've only had it for a day and I'm already a quarter of the way to level two." I explained causing her eyes to widen.
"Y-you're willing to give me a second chance. W-why?" She asked in disbelief
I started to stroke her hair to calm her down which in turn made her blush.
"Well to be fair you and your friends did threaten me first." I stated
"They weren't my friends, I-I needed the money. Dark elves are treated as a commodity by slavers. We're also worth a lot of valis to the right people, especially the women. I needed whatever money I could get to keep on the move. I just met those two a few days ago and accepted to take this job with them." She stated some what more relaxed.
"Join me and I promise you won't need to run anymore."
"Yes, yes, I accept." She stated while tears fell from her.
I held up my hand as it began to glow a dark colored purple. "Enslave." I stated as the dark purple formed around her. After a few minutes she fell coward unconscious. I caught her and gently laid her down.
"Castiel." I called causing him to appear.
"Hello Ichigo, I'm not entirely sure if I'm supposed to congratulate you on taking a person as a slave or not." He stated
"The skill is just a formality, I meant what I said. Unless she blows this second chance she's going to be a partner." I stated seriously.
"Fine, fine, you have access to a fifth menu now. It is titled companions and appears to have her listed. Would you like me to bring it up?"
"Yeah, let's see it."

"Thanks Castiel, keep an eye on her for me." I told him as I stood and collected the magic stones from the dead monsters. I then went to each of the slain mercenaries and searched through what they had on them. The cat person only had his sword and a small pouch with a thousand valis in it. The human had nothing but his greatsword and a pouch with close to three thousand valis. I could have taken the humans armor, but the quality was poor and most likely wouldn't have been worth much anyway.
After I finished I made my way back to Castiel and Yao. As I approached I noticed she was still unconscious. "She still out?"
"Yes it appears the mark left her quite exhausted."
"Alright, we've probably been down here for a few hours let's head topside and start out towards that village." I told him to which he dematerialized. I walked up to Yao and picked her up bridal style as I started to make my way out of the breach.
"Well this is a nice start to things in a brand new world." I stated out loud though it was more to myself.
Well I hope you enjoyed the beginning of this new story. If you want leave a comment and let me know what you thought.
Yao is from Gate.
