CHAPTER 1 "The Truth"
It was late evening; a blonde kid was cooking fish on the bank of the river but the food was for two people. He appeared to be around the age of 5. He was wearing a white T shirt and a Blue Boxer pant.
As he finished cooking an old man appeared from the forest out of nowhere. The boy smiled and the old man said "Hello, Naruto!"
"So, you finally decided to show up." the boy said. The old man was the 3rd Hokage(head) of the village. His name was Hiruzen Sarutobi. The hokage is the strongest ninja of the village.
"Hey, I just got here" Hiruzen said
"Okay, now come and sit" Naruto said pointing at the rock beside him
"So, how was your day" Hiruzen asked while sitting the said rock
"Just as always, from the very morning all the villagers were glaring daggers at me. Then in the afternoon, a bunch of people cornered and started beating me. One of them was saying than I am a demon." Naruto said while looking at his injuries
"Although most of my injuries were healed in no time but some were so deep that It will take me the whole night to heal them. Then in the evening, I was passing by a mask shop and there I liked a mask and took it to see if it will fit me or not but the shopkeeper pushed me out of the shop and threw the mask on my face. And now I am here." Naruto said with a sad face
Hiruzen then picked the fishes and gave one to Naruto. "So, that is why you are upset"
"Why do they treat me like scum? I haven't done anything bad to them.", Naruto asked, the old man was silent.
"I have asked you many times but you never told me the reason. I know that you have the answer of my questions! At least I deserve to know the reason why all the people of the village treat me like that?", Naruto said.
The old man took a deep breath and said "I guess it's time to tell you the truth"
"What truth?"
"Be patient, Naruto."
"Let's start with your family background, your dad was the fourth hokage of the village, his name was Minato Namikaze"
"WAIT? MY DAD IS WHAT?" Naruto shouted in disbelief
"Yes, you heard me right. You are the only son of the Fourth Hokage" Hiruzen said
"Wow, Now I will tell all villagers who my father is, then they will stop treating me like an outcast." Naruto jumped in joy
"No, If the word gets out that you are the son the 4th hokage then his enemies will try to kill you. And that is why I also forbid you to tell anyone about this." Hiruzen said in a serious tone
"Then he will protect me from his enemies and besides why will they try to kill me?" Naruto asked innocently
"Because your father is already dead and they will try to get revenge on him by killing you" Hiruzen said with a frowned face
"What, but how? Isn't the hokage supposed to be the strongest ninja of the village? How did he died?" Naruto's short-lived smile was replaced by sadness.
"Yes indeed, he was the strongest ninja of the hidden leaf at that time. But he died 5 years ago just after your birth." Hiruzen said
"How?" Naruto asked
"Your mother Kushina Uzumaki was the previous jinchuriki of the Nine Tailed fox. And when she gave birth to you, a masked person released the Nine tailed fox from your mother. The fox then attacked the village and destroyed a quarter of the village and killed thousands of people before your dad teleported him outside the village." Hiruzen stated
"Wait, how can a fox cause so much destruction?" Naruto asked genuinely
"That was not a normal fox, he was as tall as the Hokage faces and was the most powerful tailed beast." Hiruzen explained
"Ohh, I see." Naruto said in a deep voice
"When the situation appeared that it cannot be handled by brute strength, your dad decided to sacrifice his life and seal the fox inside you as you were the only person who could hold the fox inside you. And before you ask your mother also died in the process. But your dad left the key of the seal to Jiraiya, his master, in the hope that you will be able to use the Nine tails' chakra." Hiruzen continued
Naruto was shedding tears "So, I lost both my parents in a single night"
Hiruzen added "Yes, and all the villagers hate you because they fear that the fox will escape from the seal inside you and destroy the village again. This was all that happened. And now that you know the truth, it is my duty to teach and train you so that you could become a splendid shinobi like your dad. Or you could say that I have to keep my promise that I did with your parents."

He then started to train him. He taught Naruto most of the D, C, & B rank jutsu and some A and S rank jutsu. He taught Naruto some signature jutsu of different clans like Shadow Paralysis Jutsu, Shadow strangle Jutsu, Body Expansion Jutsu, Mind Transfer Jutsu, Water pistol jutsu, etc. He even taught him the 8 Gate formation and Shadow clone jutsu.
At the age of 8, Naruto was the true definition of Prodigy. He mastered 3 different chakra natures, the Wind style, the Earth style and the Water style. He always scored a perfect 100 in his every test and he never lost any spar to anyone. And why would he, he was easily at the high jonin level. He even surpassed Kakashi and Itachi at their age. But the hokage didn't gave him any special privileges like his seniors, because he wanted him to live like a normal kid.
He was studying at the academy like normal children. Even though everyone still hated him for the same reason. Naruto had learned to ignore them, but that torture made Naruto grow colder over time.
Author's Note
Okay, so, this was the first chapter of my first fanfiction. In this story, Hiruzen trains Naruto personally and keeps his promise to Minato and Kushina. But as the result of the hate he got from the village, Naruto's personality changes drastically. He is not he annoying and loud kid anymore but instead he becomes Quite and cold. I am well aware that I have skipped a major part of Naruto's life, where Hiruzen trains Naruto and Naruto befriends Sasuke, But there will be a long flashback which will cover this part of Naruto's life. In the next chapter, 3 new characters will be introduced.
