Hello, fellow Fanimaniacs! Here it is, I finally got my birthday update out! It is a Yeela (of course), or a Yakko x Leela, just so everyone knows. It's rushed, but I hope you like it anyway. Without further ado, enjoy!
Ding-dong!
Leela let out a little yelp of surprise. The doorbell almost always startled her when she was relaxed or home alone. Today, she was both: her parents had gone out to get her birthday cake, and her brother had slept over at a friend's house. She looked down at her iPad, on which she had been watching an Eddsworld video, paused it, and went to answer the door. What surprised her even more than the doorbell was who had rung it.
"Helloooo, teenager!"
"Yakko!" she cried, smiling widely as she opened the door. "Did I get the time wrong? I can get dressed real quick…"
Leela was supposed to hang out with the Warners later, and have a sleepover, but as it was her birthday, she was still in her pajamas.
"No, you're fine!" grinned Yakko. "I can't stick around long, anyway, my sibs are bouncing off the walls."
Leela chuckled. "Ah, I got it. So, what brings ya here?"
Yakko suddenly seemed shyer, more nervous.
"Well, uhhh…" he began. "Me and my sibs already have a present for you, which you're gonna get later, but… I had another present for you, and I wanted to give it to you when Wakko and Dot weren't around."
He handed over a canvas. Leela took one look at it and gushed, "Oh, Yakko!"
It was a beautiful painting of the Warners, but there was another toon with them, one with a Hamilton t-shirt, long brown hair in a ponytail, purple eyes, and a turquoise nose.
It didn't take Pinky and The Brain (well, mostly the Brain) to figure out who the fourth toon was.
"Yakko!" repeated Leela, her eyes filling with tears. "This is beautiful!"
"I'm glad you like it!" beamed Yakko. "Listen, Lee, I gotta go now, but I have one more tiny present for you."
"What is it?" questioned Leela, hugging her painting.
Yakko leaned over and gave her a quick kiss, right on the lips. It filled Leela's entire body with warmth. As the toon pulled away, the Indian felt a blush spread across her face, along with a dopey grin.
"Wow," was all she could say.
"Gotta go. Seeya later, Lee!" Yakko said, blushing as he prepared to use his toon speed.
"Yakko?" Leela called.
"What?"
"I've only gotten two presents today, so far," she began, "but I already know which one was my favorite."
And she leaned over and pecked his cheek.
"Bye, now."
Yakko grinned. "Bye, Leela."
Short, sweet, corny, and with no plot whatsoever, plus a rather rushed ending. Hope you liked it anyway! Do you think I should write a sequel?
Fani out!
