Thunder boomed as the stitched-up scientist slammed his way through the dilapidated Arachnophia stronghold. With a heavy thump, he knocked a large steel door from its hinges. Sliding across the concrete floor door hit the distant wall clattering to the ground. Stepping into the room the Scientist has met the sound of a crying child. Scanning the room he found a cradle surrounded by a Multitude of machines beeping in sequence. As he stepped closer Marie transformed in a flash running to the cradle.

"Marie don't touch that it could be dangerous." He ordered

"Franken honey are you sure he's just a baby," she replied

As his wife picked up the abandoned child Stien used Soul Perception on the child. His soul was deep purple with a black flame burning in its core a silvery web around it like a shield. Blinking he found himself by the sight of his wife holding the baby in her arms. The crying had ceased and the child soothed to near sleep. The golden-haired hammer smiled down at the child as she stepped into the light. As she stepped into the light he took in the child's appearance.

She held a baby in her arms dark hair just starting to grow on his pale head. Pale blue eyes looked up at him as the child finally fell asleep Smiling Marie held the child to her chest. Holding him she approached the mad doctor her face set in a maternal smile. Raising a curious brow he studied the child gently poking it. He in response was met was a firm smack to the cheek from his wife.

"Marie whatever you're thinking no." He muttered rubbing his cheek

"But Franken he's all alone we can't just leave him here." she pleaded

"Alright dear, we'll take him with us." He grumbled

(Seventeen Years Later)

"Are you sure you keep going?"

"Yeah let's keep at it."

Stood outside his lab Stein took in the sight on his adoptive son. The young man was well built with a slender from his dark hair an inky mess atop his head. His pale blue eyes gave him the constant look of exhaustion not unlike Stien. They had named him Bram sometime after arriving home. Now the two were locked in their nightly training regiment. Bram had yet to win a single one of their matches even after all this time.

"Papa dinner's ready, aren't you hungry?"

A blonde girl with gray eyes and pigtails appeared in his door. She stood smiling at him rocking on her heels his son's fist causing a slight surge of soul wavelength Stien motioned him inside. He let out a heavy breath he nodded turning for the door. As he did his legs wobbled beneath him nearly sending him to the ground. In two steps Stein was supporting his son helping him inside.

The inside of the lab had changed from a mad science lab to a proper home over the years. As they entered they were met with a strong floral scent throughout the house. Entering the cozy dining room they found the table already occupied. Marie sat to the left of the head of the small table with an older Chrona quietly sitting at her other side. At his other side sat the youngest Stein Michelle (Shelly) Stein leaving the other two spots empty.

"Finally I was beginning to think you were never gonna get here!" Ragnarok hiss popping out of Chrona's back

"Oh be quiet you're so impatient." Chrona sighed throw a piece of chicken into the symbiote's mouth

Taking the head of the table Stien's face shifted in a schemer's grin. As Bram sat he slid a slip of paper across the small table. The form in question was an application to enroll in the DWMA. At the sight of the form, Bram sprang up in surprise looking to his adoptive father. The scientist nodded turning the bolt in his head. With a cheer, he threw his fist in the air scanning the form. Blinking in confusion he found the form only lacked his signature. Slowly he looked to his adoptive parents seeing a pair of Cheshire cat grins.

"This isn't a joke you're finally letting me go?" He asked nervously

"Bram you've been ready it was us that weren't," Marie admitted shyly

Rushing up the stairs to the academy the adoptive couldn't help but smile. He had waited for this day to come he couldn't believe he was finally going to the academy. Running up the long staircase he was met with the sight of someone waiting for him at the top. stepping closer he was met with the sight of bright purple hair and bright blue feline eyes. Nearing them the blade of a Katana was pointed between his eyes the tip delicately poking his forehead.

The was mostly strange with the blade glowing in various shades of purple. The weapon's guard was the head of a fierce lion with the blade coming from its mouth. The handle was wrapped in fine brown leather with a silver pommel with a braided cord hanging from it. Deep blue eyes rested in the silver lion's head seeming to glare into his own. Atop her head, a pair of cat ears twinked in curiosity.

"You have I lot of nerve making me wait." She said fighting a giggle

Stepping back he took in her appearance for the first time. She was beautiful with fair skin with her falling to her shoulders in loose curls that framed her face. She was dressed in a black crop top with a pair of black skinny jeans and comfortable sandals. All of her nails were perfectly maintained and painted vibrant purple. Around her neck hung a pumpkin-shaped charm the glowed in the early morning light. As she spun her weapon he jumped back in surprise peeking at her soul.

"How, how does a human have a cat's soul?" he questioned eyes widening

"You're overthinking it, I'm only HALF feline," she replied spinning her sword

He dropped to the ground his brain melted from the exchange. Slowly the catgirl approached placing a hand on his head. Smiling slightly she gently tapped him on the forehead getting his attention. As he looked up as she looked up she transformed into a similar to the one she was holding. Spinning the weapon a violet trail followed the blade. This felt right giving the weapon a few practice swings he could only smile more. He for the first time in his life felt whole. In a flash, she transformed back their hands locked making no move to pull apart.

"So new guy just who are ya?" she asked

"Bram Stein new meister recruit of class crescent moon," he announced

"Funny I'm Rosetta feline meisterless weapon of class crescent moon," she replied

Entering class crescent moon a rather large textbook soared through the air. Ducking just in time to dodge they were met with the sight of the class's ticked-off teacher. The green-eyed scythe meister sat at her desk pointing at the seats waiting for them to be seated. As they sat she retrieved her textbook opening it to the page she was reading from. As Bram made himself comfortable the door opened and an aged Spirit stood in the doorframe. Scanning the crowd of students he pointed at Bram motioned for him to follow him.

"Stein Lord Death wants to see you and your partner asap." He announced
