This is about how Lila strives to find a sense of self-worth through others.
"Lila's not that bad, she just craves attention."
- Adrien Agreste
Enjoy! :)
Lila chewed her pencil suggestively, eyes narrowed like a snake ready to pounce on their prey and giggled.
"Honestly Adrien, I don't know what I'd do without you! College level calculus is sooo harrrrd!" She said, grabbing onto his arm as if capturing him.
"I feel so bad it took up so much of your time you know…" She looked up at him with plastic, puppy dog eyes. Adrien knew by now that she didn't care at all how much of his time she took. He had been in that library with her for three hours, and they had only solved two equations between all of her fake flirting, selfie taking, and instagram posting.
"Ah don't worry Lila, it's nothing really. If you ever need some more help, I think the professor offers his own tutoring sessions on tuesdays. He'd probably be of more help than me after all." This had to stop, he couldn't keep letting her guilt-trip him into these pointless 'study sessions' with her anymore, he had his own busy schedule to attend to.
The two of them turned the corner into an empty hallway.
"Aww but I think you can explain it so much better…"
"If you want, we can go up to my room and I can repay you there.." She winked, pressing her breasts against him.
"It's fine Lila, really. I don't need money or anything like that." Adrien chuckled.
Lila almost laughed at how dense this boy could be.
"Oh, I don't mean money, I mean with my body." She drew circles on his chest with his finger, giving him a bit of a pleasant ticklish sensation.
"What? I Mean…"
He had hoped that hadn't been what she meant. This wasn't the first time she had made this proposal. It was getting old at this point and he hated having to reject her. It felt so awkward..not to mention, there was always this part of himself that wanted to give into the temptation of an attractive girl trying to get with him, no matter what her personality was like.
"Listen Lila...I'm flattered really, but I can't do that...I'm sorry, but I only see you as a friend."
"So? That doesn't mean we can't have some fun." She pouted.
"Sorry Lila but that's...I really don't think it's a good idea, okay?"
Lila feigned disappointment and asked for him to walk her to her dorm at the very least and that she promised it would be quick and she'd leave him alone after that. Reluctantly, Adrien agreed, unsure whether or not he should believe her. An uneasy feeling arose in the pit of his stomach when they approached her door.
Right before it looked like she'd shut the door behind her so he could walk away, she tripped him.
The next thing he knew, he was on top of her, her arms nearly wrapped around him as he heard the snap of a phone taking a picture.
"H-hey what're you doing?" He asked, trying not to look at her cleavage.
"Ohh you know, just getting evidence."
Evidence?
"Evidence of you trying to take advantage of me." She said with a devilish grin, the pupils of her green eyes unnaturally black.
Adrien protested that he had no intentions of anything like that, but she just responded by yelling as though he were actually taking advantage of her.
Instinctively, he clasped his hand over her mouth, her eyes squinting into a smirk.
Crap, that just made things look far worse. She was recording all of this with her phone too.
Finally, he got off of her, only for her to lean forward and whisper in his ear.
"I think you get it now, right Adrien?" She said in a sinister tone.
She nibbled his ear softly. He didn't want to admit it, but she really was turning him on.
"Lila...why.." Something about this felt so wrong. He didn't want to betray his Lady by getting intimate with another woman before he'd finally get the chance to be with her, but he felt almost helpless to his own somehow.
He tried hard not to dislike Lila as he knew that all she craved was attention, but at this point he couldn't help but feel like he really didn't like her. How could someone lie about something like that? He was horrified.
Lila locked the door behind him then threw herself on him, kissing him hard as they fell onto her bed.
Ugh god...how could he kiss her, this was an absolute nightmare. Well almost. Her being on top if him was admittedly enjoyable.
"Ohhh Adrien, you're sooo hot!" Despite how empty her words were, he was thinking the same thing about her.
If he were to see Lila just passing by, having never met her before, he'd have to look twice since she really was a pretty girl. It wasn't that he didn't want it, it was just that he never thought of himself as the kind of guy that would just give in and do it with someone he wasn't in love with, much less struggled to even like.
Before he knew it, they had done it twice. The first time with her taking the lead, Adrien feeling so off yet turned on by it all. The second time, Adrien taking the lead almost as though to make up for having been so caught off guard the first time and having decided he might as well enjoy it fully rather than feeling guilty over it. Throughout the act, it seemed like she started to show a different side of herself, like it was more than just her body that was naked. Some things she said about herself were almost disturbing as they weren't kind things at all...He sensed some kind of sadness and insecurity in her.
The two of them just lied there for a moment, close but not cuddling.
Lila was the first to break the silence. "I really turned you on, didn't I?" She said almost as if to reassure herself.
"You really did.." He looked at her with a smile then got up to put his pants back on.
He felt awkward all of a sudden as the reality of what had just happened hit him. He wanted to say something, but nothing seemed to come out, so he just continued to get dressed, his back towards her.
He felt her hand grab onto his wrist. "Leaving already? You should spend the night!"
"Uh sorry Lila, but my father would be really upset if I missed my Mandarin class."
He had just lied to Lila. He really just wanted to go home. She looked up to him with an expression he'd never seen before.
"Please Adrien, don't leave me." Her voice sounded so small.
"I don't even care if you hate me now, I just can't stand being all alone!" She looked up at him with pleading eyes almost as if she were about to cry. Genuine tears too.
Now that he thought about it, it's pretty insensitive to just to leave right away after something like this. Manipulative, compulsive liar or not, Lila was a person just like everyone else.
Man, I'm such a jerk! He thought to himself.
"Of course I don't hate you...I'm really sorry I took things so far." She seemed to enjoy it, but what if he should have backed off at a certain point.
"No, not at all. I just want someone to hold me right now."
Lila pulled him close to her and buried her head in his chest. It was nice that in moments like these, that void inside her felt faint.
She knows that he doesn't love her. She knows that nobody loves her but, at the very least though, his body was warm.
Thanks for making it this far! I'm new to this after all lol.
Lila may be antagonistic, but I think she's also kind of tragic.
Maybe someday she'll find love for herself and grow as a person, but it won't be through Adrien.
