Anyway, here's the plot and I hope you enjoy! ^^
Shippo left a note to his friends in his wake, saying that he needed time away to find himself but would return to Keade's Village in one year's time. He only had the clothes on his back and the tricks in his sleves in addition to his quick wits and best of all: his cuteness in weaponized form. Will all of that be enough however?
With no plans other then his wild ambition, whats he gonna do? Read... and find out!

Shippo looked at his friends ans sighed sadly with a tear rolling down his face. He didn't want to leave them but needed to find his own place. "It's all just too confusing. I know that I should say goodbye in person but they'd just tell me to stop or Inyuasha would threaten to beat me up which would make Kagome make him 'sit!'
and it would be funny. Aughhhhhh! Why can't I just do it? It's one foot in front of the other, come on Shippo! Be your own kitsune already! Oh man! Should I just give up and forget about this?" He said quietly. 'NO!' Shippo mentally shouted to himself. 'I NEED to do this! I can't always count on the others to protect me. I gotta protect them for once and return their kindness and love!' He gripped his hands together tightly as he looked inside himself and sighed again. He looked back at them one more time and walked away, unaware that Inyasha was listining to his quiet rant.
As dawn came Shippo headed west into the mountains and braced himself for a thunder storm. 'Darn. Kagome has an umbrella.' He realized that he needed to act fast! He stopped and looked around, spotting a small, seemingly hidden cave opening. He bolted for it and smiled as he found that it was large enough to actually live in! A small pool of clear water coming in thanks to the rain was on the far end and the center was beg enough to hold a firepit! The east side could be used for a bed area and the west into a makeshift kitchen! Talk about a lucky find! Lady Luck gives to those in need and can just as quickly take it away, the harsh woman!
"Hmmmm... I could make this into my home. It's got light, water and it's cold! It's just perfect!"
"Efcttttt! Efcttttt!" came an echo.
"Echo!" Shippo shouted.
"Echo! Echo!"
"Inyuasha is a loser half breed!"
"Inuyasha is a loser half breed!" Came the echo again. He giggled as he jumped and landed perfectly on his pawed feet. "I guess I better start making this place feel like home." Said the young kitsune as he went to work by cleaning out the floor and digging a hole in the dirt for the firewood he'd certainly need to start keeping in store near his bed. 'Come on Shippo, keep working. It's gonna be a long day as a lone fox.' He thought as he pinched himself and went right back to it.
