Hello all my dearest friends and readers! First off, let me apologize for such an incredibly long delay. I had gone into another franchise and forgot about this. But I am back and ready to continue where I left off. I hope you enjoy it!

The Triple Butterfly Effect

The vibe in Joey's office suddenly changed once Thomas was told to stay and the repairman knew that when the vibe changed, it was never good…just like last time.

"What is it Mister Drew?" Thomas asked doing his best to hide his nerves.

Joey Drew fought the urge to chuckle at the repairman's nervous tone.

"Well Mister Connor, I have a small question or rather a proposition for you. I think you will find it quite fair."

As soon as he heard the word "proposition", Thomas's thoughts immediately shifted to Allison. He feared that Joey had somehow figured out their relationship and was planning on using it against him.

"Since you believe that I am overworking you and your men, how about I do you all a favor?"

Thomas inwardly let out a sigh of relief at the fact that Allison wasn't mentioned, but still kept the possibility in mind.

"What kind of favor?" he asked suspiciously knowing favors were out of character for Joey Drew.

"Whenever one of your men require medical care, I will allow him to leave, but in return, you will have to do his portion of the project alongside your own."

Joey then held out his hand. "Well, Mister Connor, do we have a deal?"

While Thomas did like the idea of his men being able to finally receive the medical attention, the idea of having to take over their portion did not sit well with him at all. He knew the majority of them needed help, but Thomas was also aware that accepting Joey's deal would keep Allison at the studio.

He also remembered that some of them have wives and children; which shifted his thoughts to the plan he made with Allison.

If he rejected Joey's offer, his workers' lives would be at risk and Allison would be safe.

If he accepted Joey's offer, Allison's life would be at risk and his workers would be safe.

Thomas tried to figure out a way to keep them all safe, but quickly realized he couldn't do so without exposing his relationship with Allison.

It was either his workers or the love of his life.

"Mister Connor, you better choose before I make the decision for you."

After a few painful moments, the repairman made his decision.

Once Thomas left the office, Joey Drew poured himself a glass of whiskey and after taking a drink, stared at the door as if the repairman was still there.

"Exactly how far will he go to keep them safe?" Joey whispered after taking another drink.

. . .

A few days after the repairman's difficult choice, Wally and the projectionist were sitting at a bar, thinking about their conversation with Sammy.

"Since then, I was hoping that it was all a cruel prank, but those notes were clearly in Allison's handwriting and weren't forced out of her at all." Norman said while swirling his glass.

The janitor nodded. "I was hoping the same thing, especially since Allison had never kept anything from us and trusted us with everything. We always kept our promises to her."

The more they talked about the newly discovered secret the more they tried to get upset at the voice actress, but neither of them had the heart to do so.

Sammy on the other hand was a different story because the music director had put them in such a stressful position that they didn't know what to do. The secret was killing them at this point and they knew it was eventually going to slip out.

"Maybe we should at least let Allison know. We'll explain everything to her and then at some point she'll let Thomas know. That way it's off our chests and we can take a breather." The projectionist suggested after a few minutes.

Wally considered his friends idea. If they at least told the voice actress, the worst that could happen is an argument and maybe a confrontation with Sammy.

"Yeah, I guess telling Allison would be fine."

. . .

Allison sighed as she stared at the orange bottle in her hands. Her stomach had started to act up the previous night and once again woke up feeling worse. Since the symptoms were the same as the first time, the voice actress decided to take the extra antibiotics her doctor had given her instead of bothering Jack or taking her chances with Joey. In fact, she wasn't even sure if she should take the antibiotics at all. She tried to blow it off as the emotional stress of "losing" the love of her life and the last thing she wanted to think about was a baby. After a few more moments, she decided to take it and if she didn't feel better by the next morning, she would visit Jack. Taking the dosage and putting the bottle in her purse, Allison left for work hoping that it was going to be an east day.

But even she knew that there was no such thing as an easy day when you worked at Joey Drew Studios.

Unfortunately, that wasn't going to be the case. As soon as she got to her dressing room, she had a stabbing feeling in her head causing her to throw up once again. When the episode was over, Allison looked at herself in the mirror and knew that her pale skin and exhausted appearance would gain attention. Looking at her watch, Allison saw that she still had time before she had to meet Sammy in the recording booth. She knew that Jack would already be there and thought about seeing him. But remembering all the tests he ran on her the first time, wouldn't be able to see him before she had to meet with Sammy.

Allison was starting to wonder if she made a mistake taking the leftover antibiotics and should have asked her doctor first. Despite the fact that she may have accidentally poisoned herself, she decided to wait until after her recording session to go to the infirmary.

. . .

Thomas hated himself for basically choosing his workers over Allison but with the things looked with them, it seemed like the better choice…as much as he hated to admit it. He would be facing Joey's wrath instead of them should the project fall behind schedule. He was the protector of both Allison and the GENT workers. If he had to take hits for all of them then so be it.

Thomas just hoped that Joey didn't have a scheme in mind and that Allison was doing alright.

. . .

The recording session seemed endless as Allison fought the urge to excuse herself to the restroom (or a nearby trash can). But the voice actress knew that she would never hear the end of it from Joey if it wasn't finished on time. After the second take, Allison gave in and excused herself to where she barely made it to the trash can at the entrance of the music department. The moment when Allison ran out of the recording booth, the music director couldn't help but smirk. While he didn't really have a rivalry or hatred for Allison, seeing her sick made him wonder how Susie would feel is she saw her hated rival right now.

"Susie would love seeing this." He slowly whispered.

But knowing that he had to keep a façade, Sammy slowly walked over to the voice actress.

"Miss Pendle, if you are feeling ill, then you should go to the infirmary. I'm sure Joey would understand." He said with fake but convincing concern.

Due to having flirting with her in the past and the fact that he was no longer with Susie (or so she thought) Allison figured that he was just trying to start a relationship with her. But since he had sounded concerned, didn't know what to think.

"No, no Sammy. It's alright. Just probably ate something bad last night. We can continue. I'll go to the infirmary later." Allison said, hoping the music director would believe her.

The music director nodded, assuring Allison that he believed her…unaware that it was just a façade and that Sammy had reconciled with Susie.

. . .

As soon as the recording session was over, Allison said her good-byes to Sammy and went to her dressing room where she examined the pill bottle. Looking at the dosage instructions, Allison took note that she followed them and that it was just either a stomach bug or stress. The voice actress thought about skipping Jack altogether and make a doctor's appointment instead. But with the wat she was feeling, decided to mirror what she did the first time…this time taking the pill bottle with her. After placing it in her pocket, made her way to the infirmary hoping that she wasn't pregnant.

"Well Miss Allison, I have to say I'm surprise that you are here again." Jack said while putting on some rubber gloves.

The voice actress just shrugged at his words. "I don't know jack. It just happened again I guess."

Jack smirked as he shook his head. "It's not a problem at all. Now let's find out what's going on."

. . .

In the accounting area, Grant was going through paperwork regarding Bendyland as well as IRS statements that he had recently received.

"This man is literally killing the studio!" he said as he read the current IRS statement.

He had hoped that his boss would understand that even with all the investors they still wouldn't be able to pay off this Bendyland project of his. Over $60,000 Joey invested in this project and it didn't seem to faze him at all.

Grant also remembered running into Bertrum who had just a big of a problem with Bendyland as he did. But despite the financial strain that he was putting on the studio, what concerned them was an area that Joey had circled.

"I kept asking him over and over again why this area is very important. Yet, he still refuses to tell me." Bertrum said after showing Grant the plans and costs of everything.

The accountant wasn't surprised that Joey wouldn't tell Bertrum its purpose.

But from what they knew Grant and Bertrum could only wonder.

. . .

As Allison expected, Jack ran the same tests he did the first time she got sick…all of them leading to the same diagnosis.

"Miss Allison, I have no idea exactly what kind of stomach virus you have, but if it came back twice, then I suggest you see your doctor. I also don't think that you taking the leftover antibiotics caused this issue. But just to be sure, you should make an appointment." He reported after handing Allison the bottle of leftover pills.

Not very happy that she would have to go to the doctor again, Allison slowly nodded and just as she turned to leave, Jack called out to her.

"Forgive me for asking. But are you absolutely sure you are not pregnant? It is possible in this case."

The voice actress never wanted to think that way, but he did have a point. After silently making a decision, she said…

"I'm a single woman Jack. So, it's not possible."

She abruptly left after that.

. . .

That night, Allison was sitting on the bed for what seemed like hours when it had just been a few minutes. She had decided to go against Jack's suggestion for the time being because she wanted to know first. After thirty more seconds, the voice actress went into the bathroom and looked at the pink and white stick.

One line…

Just a reminder: I am aware that Jack Fain is Sammy's lyricist. I just went with the audio log that was in the infirmary.

I hope you enjoyed it!
