AN: Hey Everyone! It's Cece. Like in the description, I built my own Glee headcanon for a while and really expanded it so I wanted to share with you all a narrative story about my second-generation kids! Please let me know what you think! I don't own Glee characters but the kids are all my own OCs.
"I can't believe it's finally the first day of high school! Yay! I'm so excited! What should I sing for my Glee audition?" Julie said as she bounced down the halls of her new school. Her and her friends' parents all meant in their glee club back in Ohio, so of course, she had to join her school here in New York. Unaware that she was the only one planning on auditioning.
"Who said anything about actually auditioning?" Mickey said, rolling his brown eyes at Julie.
"Yeah, Jules, I'm with Mickey on this one. None of us are really planning on auditioning for Glee Club." Beanie, Julie's best friend/actual cousin, chimed in.
"Some things never change. You always agree with Mickey," Izzy slyly added.
"I do not! In fact, I told Mickey that shirt is hard on the eyes, multiple times!"
"Hey, what's wrong with this shirt?" Mickey shouted. The shirt in question was Mickey's baseball practice shirt. Covered in years' worth of sweat and dirt stains, a super faded logo, but also an autograph of the Cubs female pitcher on it, Mickey's first celebrity crush. His sister Kimi had managed to get the signature for him.
"Considering that shirt used to be white, it's worn out," Beanie rebutted.
Aggravated by the annoying batter of the two, Julie shouted at them both, "Enough about the shirt! Why aren't any of you auditioning?"
"Because sweet innocent Julie, it's expected and honestly too much effort," Chris, Beanie's twin brother, replied, "We'll all just be compared to our parents, if Bea can sing like the Rachel Berry or if Mickey can dance like Tony award-winning couple Mike and Tina Chang. It's just not worth it."
"But the football team…"
"Hey now, sports are completely different! Besides, it's not like Dad was a pro athlete or anything," he shrugged. Chris was excited to play football again. It's something his dad and him bonded over all the time.
"Well, I'm auditioning!" Julie claimed proudly.
"Good for you, sweetie," Izzy added with a sarcastic smile.
At lunch, Julie seemed to calm down on the topic, much to everyone else's delight.
"So, how's Kimi? I feel like I haven't seen her in forever," Beanie asked Mickey as the two approached the lunch table, where Izzy and Julie were already seated.
"She's good. Mom said she's moving into her new boyfriend's apartment."
"Uncle Mike must love that," she added an emphasis on the word love. It was well known amongst both all ND parents and children how protective Mike is of his only daughter.
"Oh, yeah, thrilled. I still remember him yelling at Mom for letting her go on the pill at 17!"
"Like any of our parents weren't doing it at 17. Especially yours, which I'm sure you don't like hearing all the stories."
"Nah, it's whatever. Trust me, hearing Kimi remind Dad that he once broke Nana's window sneaking out of Mom's bedroom and seeing Dad's face is priceless," he said, laughing as the two sit down.
"Great, you're here! Now, all we need is…" Izzy got cut off by Chris.
"Guys, you'll never believe this! I can't believe no one told us!"
"Told us what, dear brother," Beanie said with her dry wit. She was a bit of an odd fit for the daughter of Rachel Berry. Chris pointed towards the entrance of the cafeteria, where a familiar figure stood in front of them.
"Surprise!"
Who will the mystery person be? Suspense! Hope you like the story so far. I'll be trying to post once or twice a month as I am in school.
Cheers,
Cece
