"Can you believe this little mate used to be 30 million years light wide? Look at how tiny it is now, it's so cute! I wanna' squeeze its cheeks!"
Sana says, while holding the small black hole in its hands and showing it to Hakos and Kronii. She pinches the event horizon, while smiling.
"Sana, it has no cheeks."
Kronii says, taking a look at her wristwatch. The blades of her larger clock are approaching. 'Tick. Tok. Tik. Tok'. Hakos remains silent, however, her tail swinging back and forth.
Not a single light could be seen for dozens and dozens of kilometers.
Not just kilometers.
It was a pitch blackness that had a sterile feeling to it. Their bodies as concepts could feel the coldness up to a level so deep that a human could never understand.
The world around them was static. There was nothing around. No ground, no air. No singing of birds, no barking of dogs. No prayers to the future, no echoes from the past. Not even atoms and molecules. Just subatomic particles slowly grinding to a halt.
This wasn't just a usual dead end or dark place.
This was it.
"So, I'm going to name it Cheeky!"
Sana chuckles, and then sighed.
"It's a pity Mumei and Fauna almost never make it to the end."
"Civilization and Nature aren't meant for this age. It's a dreadful age where only two dolts can admire my beauty. Unless they happen to raise some very, very stubborn people…like that gremlin detective."
"'You fool, I'm behind 70 alternative universes!'"
Sana says, while imitating the detective's voice. Kronii held a hand in front of her mouth to suppress a laugh.
"Ame took Gura with her, right?"
"Yeah, they're all fine last time I heard. Kiara is certainly already reborn in another universe, Calli finally got that promotion and Ina was recalled to Ancient Ones' home. Ah, IRyS is bringing hope to other places as well."
"That is deadset wonderful! Right, Cheeky? Oh, you just grew even smaller. You're emitting the last of your Hawking radiation, aren't you?"
"According to my calculations, a couple of minutes more until the end. Will this universe go bang anew?"
"Nople-dople, the parameters of this universe don't allow that. It's almost a miracle this universe reached that far."
"Sounds alright. You're awfully quiet Bae, say something."
"Oh? Ah, it's just that I think this universe already said everything it should."
"I would disagree."
Kronii says, while looking at herself with a hand mirror.
"Cheeky got even smaller."
Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.
"Better get ready now. Bae, would you mind doing the honors?"
"Leave it to me."
She clears her throat.
"Welcome to the last meeting of the Council, presided by yours truly, Hakos Baelz. Thank you, Sana Tsukumo and Kronii Ouro for joining. Mumei Nanashi and Ceres Fauna are with us, in spirit. Today's topic: The End. I want to thank you for everything, I had the most wonderful time with you, guys!"
Kronii's blades finally met. A bell's ringing was heard everywhere. The black hole in Sana's hands finally evaporates.
"Bye, Cheeky! Bye, Bae, bye Kronii! I had so much fun!"
Her body starts to turn into glowing space dust, just as Kronii's as well.
"It's the end so no need for a tsundere routine, so let me say with all of it: I've enjoyed every single second being with you. It was a real magical time."
"You were the best friends I could ever find in space and you know how big space is. Thank you all!"
"I, therefore, declare all activities of the Council ended. See ya later, my friends."
Hakos smiles as she watches Kronii and Sana disappear, with huge smiles in their faces.
Time stops on its own. Space loses its meaning. All that remained is chaos. All that remained is Hakos Baelz.
A tear rolls through her face.
She wipes it off.
"Oh, no need to pity me. I'm just being emotional."
Hakos says.
"I've seen it happening so many times. But the thing about chaos is water doesn't flow in the same river twice. Every time a new universe is born, there are so many different possibilities that, even when events are similar, they're not the same thing. This is the Chaos of Life and why I haven't been bored a single day of my existence. It only gets sad when it ends earlier because of a false vacuum incident or when the universal parameters are fluked."
She steps around, with her arms behind her neck.
"There are so many beautiful things in the world, things worthy fighting for. This time will come, but don't mull over it for too long. There will be bad times, there will be good times, but it's the time you're living in that matters."
She stops and turns backwards.
"Oh, I'm not really alone. Right, Omega?"
Hakos looks upwards and sees the form of Omegaα. Serious as always, they look down to her from their "above" position, even though that term lost its meaning in that universe.
"There are many places beyond time and space. Things beyond your most insane imaginations. But it's not my job to tell you about them…"
"Quantum entanglement reaching critical point. The singularity is about to expand."
Omega's voice announced.
"…Now there's a Big Bang to oversee, and the Council is coming back soon! Roll the dice, baerats!"
Hakos ends with a smile and a wink, as the energy becomes more and more concentrated in a single point.
