After the trio fled from Alola's Battle Tree, they now realized they still needed to leave the region in general if they really wanted to start a new and better life together.
"Neeaaaayuuuuh? Where to now, guys?"
Maple asked, still sitting on Blue's shoulders.
"OH yeah! Good idea, say, Bitch, where DO we go now? HMMMMMMM?"
Maple laughed at the way Blue asked his question to Red.
"Well Blue, since you asked so nicely, we need to find Green."
Maple looked at Red as he said that.
"Green…? But, doesn't she hate me?"
"What? No, not at all, what makes you think she hates you?"
Maple pushes her fingers together as Red asks her that question…
"W-well, cuz, you know… I-"
"That? Maple, that wasn't your fault…"
Red would say as he pulled down Maple's hood, she looked embarrassed as he did.
"What'd you do that for?"
Red smiled.
"It's been too long since the last time I got to see your face properly… actually, no, I think this is the first time I'm really getting the chance to see this face of yours."
Maple sat there not knowing how to respond.
"Gee, um… thank y-"
"BLAH BLAH BLAH! BACK UP, SHITHEAD. YOU UGLY AS HELL!"
Blue remarked right before Maple finished her sentence, she froze up as Blue shouted so loud, prompting her to give a bonk to the top of Blue's head.
"Owwwww, Maple, that hurt."
Obviously he was joking, as he loved to mess with her, he smirked.
"Oh, I'm sorry, was I talking to you, Jackass?"
Red replied sarcastically.
"MOTHER FU-I SHOULD SLAP YOU!"
Blue took no time to respond.
"Oh, and drop Maple off your shoulders? Smooth."
"WHY YOU LITTLE-"
"STOP IT! Please…. Stop it. Why are you guys always yelling at each other anyway? It's been nothing but arguing…"
Maple asked suddenly.
"Are you guys still mad at each other over what happened all those years ago…?"
Both replied at the same time at Maple's question.
"Whaaaaaaat? No!"
Blue continued.
"Nah, nah, nah, ya see Maple, this is normal, really it is."
He grins.
"Seriously, this is nothing!"
"Yeah… what he said, Maple. Blue and I always did this."
She began to ponder…
"You know what, now that you guys have said it, I believe it."
"Yeahahah! See? Totally normal, so don't worry about what I say to this prick."
Blue laughed loudly as Red punched his arm.
"FFFFFFFF- OWWW! SON OF- forget it."
Maple tapped Blue's face.
"No more getting sidetracked, we need to figure out what to do next, right?"
Her gaze then settled on Red.
"So what's the plan?"
"Our next move, as I said, is to find Green. Any ideas Maple? You seem to be more familiar with the layout of this region than either me or Blue."
She'd put a finger to her chin.
"Ummmmm, Poni Island is probably the most wild out of all of Alola's islands! If anything, I think she'd be here somewhere… OH!"
Maple had remembered a smaller island isolated from Poni, off the coast, but not too far away. She pointed outward.
"From where we are, it's a bit of a walk. If we keep going this way, we'll get to a place called Seafolk Village! There's not a lot of people there, so we should be fine!"
"Awwww yeah! CHARGE, BITCH!"
Blue dashed off with Maple still atop his shoulders.
Red sighs, but he follows along right behind Blue, smiling as he quickly catches up to them.
"Nyehehehe! Blue look out!"
She pointed behind towards Red.
"Don't worry 'bout him, Girl! We'll win this, easy!"
He winked at her as he began to pick up speed. Both of them were especially fast, so fast that some might even say they had inhuman speed.
"Don't think you've won yet, you shriveled up old man!"
Red said as he passed up Blue.
"Old man!? Hang on, Girl. I'm kicking into overdrive!"
Blue obviously would never want Red to have the last laugh, so in his determination, Blue had begun to pick up pace at a rapid rate.
"Try and find a shortcut, neyeh!"
Maple spoke to try and help Blue.
"Shortcut? Ah, yeah! Great idea! See any?"
"Ummmm… oh!"
She pointed toward a pile of bushes.
"I think that way is shorter!"
"Only one way to find out!"
As Blue dashed into the bushes, Red looked behind him.
"Heh, guess I win."
He would approach Seafolk Village and wait for the other two.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGHHH!"
Screaming could be heard, Red turned to see as Blue came running out from the bushes Maple suggested.
"GET IT OFF! GET IT OFF ME!"
Covering Blue's face, was a rather angered Yungoos… it was stuck onto his face and made annoyed noises as it scratched at him.
"I'm- I'm trying!"
Maple had her hands on the creature, trying to pry it from Blue's face!
"MAPLE!"
"I'M TRYING, DAMMIT! D'OOF!"
Maple had fallen off of Blue's shoulders, tumbling onto the ground, the Yungoos flying out of her grip, being tossed back into the tall grass behind her.
"MAPLE!"
Red rushed over and helped her sit up, dusting off the dirt from her face.
"I'm fine, I just took a small fall, trust me when I say I've been through much worse…wait, Blue?"
Maple called out to him, a hand reached up from the ground where he was laying.
"Gee thanks Red, nah, I'm just dandy! HM!"
He quickly stood up and went over to them.
"OH SHIT, MAPLE!"
"Yeah, Idiot! Why do you think I raced over here?"
"Shut up, Red!"
Maple brings her hand up.
"I have a small headache, but I'll be fine, just please stop shouting…"
"Sorry-"
They both spoke in unison.
"Blue, are you okay?"
"Ah? Me? Pshhhhhh yeah that was nothin'! But uhhh thanks for getting that weird… thing off of me!"
"It was a Yungoos, Blue, they're native to this region."
"Yeah, I can tell, man…"
Blue looked up to see it was nightfall now.
"Shit-"
"No! This is good!"
Maple piped up.
"We're here anyway! So this all worked out!"
Red crossed his arms, impressed.
"Wow, Maple, you shrugged off that fall like it was nothing. Not bad."
"Like I said, I had way worse accidents before!"
Maple shook the extra dust off her and smiled.
"I learnt from the best."
They smiled at each other.
"Ah, yes! You guys follow me."
She put her hood up.
"There's a dock here, we can get to that little island in no time flat if we leave now! Just follow me and keep it low."
"Yeah Red! You better listen to her and keep it quiet!"
"Oh please, you DO remember who you're talking to, right?
"Bitch? You're pretty talkative when you wanna be! GOD!"
"I mean, I wasn't the one screaming for help just now."
Blue deeply inhaled at Red's snarky remark.
"Enjoy your win while you can, mah boy. Cuz it ain't gonna last long! Not if I have anything to say about it!"
"Two wins, mind you, I won the race and the insult round."
Maple just stood there as they went at it, laughing at each remark they made at each other.
"You son of a Bitch…"
Blue would adjust his sunglasses.
"I cannot and will not stand for this."
"Great, because we're not standing, didn't you hear Maple before you started arguing with me for no reason? We gotta move."
Red would say as he started to walk off, Maple following closely behind. Blue, flabbergast at Red's remark, stood there for about fifteen seconds before snapping back.
"HEY! HEY WAIT! You Asshole!"
Blue would shout as he started to catch up, after all of that, they had finally made it to Seafolk Village, it was nightfall, most of the townsfolk had settled in for the night.
"It's half past ten."
Maple spoke to them as Blue caught up.
"Everyone here is mostly asleep."
"Great… good… don't wanna deal with… uhhh…"
Blue interrupted Red.
"Freakin' Camera people and shit, right?"
"Yes, Blue, that's what normal people call Paparazzi."
"I KNOW WHAT THEY'RE CALLED, DAMN!"
Maple covered Blue's mouth.
"Shhhh, you don't wanna wake anybody up… the less people we gotta deal with the better."
Pulling her hand away, she turned to Red.
"Red… you too, ok?"
"...fine, fine."
Red tips his hat.
"Yeah yeah, ok, she's right. Anyway, Maple, you mentioned a boat?"
"I did indeed, over here."
Maple brings them over to the small ferry, a man waving to them.
"Alola, friends! Welcome to Seafolk Village, we welcome you with open arms. I am the Ferry Captain, are we setting sail to Exeggutor Island?"
Blue had heard what the Captain said, and stepped forward.
"Wait, what?"
"Yep! A bit off the coast of our lovely village, a bit to the west, there sits an island full of Exeggutor! It's really something! I assume you folks are here because you wanna sail there, correct?"
Maple pipes up.
"Yes we would."
Tipping her hood to the Ferryman.
"Champion Maple! So good to see you, right this way."
He opened his door and the trio stepped inside the ferry.
"Please, make yourselves at home! Our ride should not take long!"
The three made their way to the back of the tiny ferry, Maple would sit, Red and Blue on either side of her.
"So, Maple."
Red began to ask.
"How did Alola treat you?"
Maple looked straight at Red.
"They're insane, Red! THEY'RE CRAZY! I dunno what it is… or what's in the water here, but… ugh!"
Maple pulled her hood over tightly in frustration.
"My god… what did they do to you, damn!"
Blue remarks in utter shock.
"They're just…"
Lifting her hood up, she obviously remembered the Captain… yet he didn't even react to her shouting. This was noticed by the other two with her.
"W-what the…? Yo Maple…"
She looks to Blue as he calls her, she gets close to him and lowered her voice.
"Listen, Blue… Like I was saying to Red, there's something wrong with these people, I dunno what it is, but they almost never react to anything I say or do… it's like they're scripted or something."
As she told him part of her experience, his gaze fell to the Captain, leaning back to Maple now he continued.
"Man that's weird…"
Red then leans in to whisper with the other two.
"I couldn't help but overhear, obviously, and I noticed it too, Blue."
"Yeah, Red?"
"Remember when we first got to Alola?"
Blue put his fingers to his chin and began to rub.
"Ohhhh, now that you mention it, yeah! People act really weird here… like they're not thinking at all."
The trio's discussion was interrupted as the ferry stopped, the Captain turned and shouted to them.
"ALOLA, FRIENDS! We've reached our destination!"
The three quickly got up and hurried away from the ferry.
"Alola once again, my friends! I look forward to helping you get back to shore!"
"Weirdo…"
Blue grunted as they sped off.
"I agree, that was weird… Maple might be onto something here, I'm kinda used to how weird people act by now, but the humans here…"
Before Red was able to continue his train of thought, an Exeggutor appeared!
"WHAT THE!?"
Blue shouted and pointed towards the Pokémon that he had never seen before.
"I THOUGHT YOU SAID THIS WAS EXEGGUTOR ISLAND?"
"Ah, but I did! You see Blue, these are Alolan Exeguutor! They're part Dragon Type!"
"ACK!"
He stumbled back and fell on his behind, Maple laughed at his reaction, Red would chuckle.
"What's the matter, Blue? You're so old that seeing new kinds of Pokémon freak you out?"
"OH CMON, you're telling me you ain't surprised, Red!?"
"Oh, I am surprised, I just don't need to be so overdramatic about it."
Getting up to his feet and dusting off his clothes, looking straight at Red.
"BITCH?"
"Hold on, guys! We're getting sidetracked…"
"Right, sorry, Maple-"
Unhooding herself, she started to walk off, Red would follow her as Blue stayed behind.
"You guys go on ahead… these guys got my interest!"
Blue laughed as the other two went off, a few minutes had passed as the duo made their way further into the island.
"You think she might be here, Red?"
Maple asked concerned, still afraid, thinking Green hates her.
"As you said, she most likely is away, hiding from the majority of the humans here…"
As the two stopped, they felt a gentle and calm breeze hit their faces, it was as if she was waiting for a cue, there she was, standing atop a tree branch.
"Nice to see you again, Red."
She'd jump down from the branch and land directly in front of the pair, Maple paritaly hiding behind Red as Green landed.
"Green."
Red nods.
"It's ok, Maple. I promise she's not mad at you, at least not this side of her.
Green walked forward and looked at Maple, Maple herself pulled her hood to cover her eyes.
"It's ok, I'm not going to hurt you, I promise that other me is far away from here."
The Woman extended her hand to Maple, the other shly reaching forward and grabbing it for a shake.
"See? I told you it was going to be ok."
Green smiled at Maple as they shook hands, letting go as she stands up straight looking around.
"So where's the other one?"
"Blue's back there."
Red pointed behind with his thumb.
"He's never seen those kind of Exeggutor before, so he stayed behind."
"Hm~ I thought so."
Green laughed.
"I believe my appearance was delayed long enough! I shall join you, and we will head back."
The now trio of Red, Green and Maple headed back to the main area of Exeggutor Island, when they arrived they saw Blue standing on top of the highest peak of the Island.
Maple would wave to him.
"Hey, down here!"
Jumping up and down, she'd eventually catch Blue's attention.
"Yo! You're back! Wait, is that…?"
To get a better look, Blue jumped off the highest peak on the island and landed with a look of shock and surprise on his face, stepping close to them all he'd speak.
"Green…? No way! I thought you were dead!"
At his comment, Green flipped her hair.
"Oh, gee, I wonder why you thought that."
With a grim look on her face, she'd narrow her eyes.
"You guys…"
Maple interrupted.
"I don't wanna think about the bad things anymore, can we please just reconnect?"
The other three trainers all gave each other looks, exchanged blinks, then all nodded in agreement. Red speaks up.
"You know what? She's right, why are we worrying about the past?"
His gaze fell on Green, seeing that she started to twirl her hair, she then looked to Blue, as she did, Blue rubbed the back of his neck, Red continued.
"We shouldn't be thinking about those…"
Looking at Maple with a smile on his face.
"...bad times, what we should be doing is looking forward, we should be thinking about our future. We don't need to look at our past anymore, no matter how bad, how painful…"
Red put his hand on Maple's head and began to rub it.
"What really matters, is we're all here now, together again, we're all alive, we all finally got to see each other again after so long."
Maple nodded as Red continued his speech, Green smiling at his notions, as well as Blue crossing his arms with a smirk, agreeing on what Red was saying. Red would continue.
"I know we've all been through a lot, I would say some of us more than others, but that wouldn't be correct. We all had our problems…"
They four huddle together. Maple, unhooded, speaks up to chime in.
"I think what Red's trying to say is… we all missed each other, and we were all scared in our lives at one point or another."
With a teary-eyed smile Maple hugged the other three in the circle.
"I was really sad and upset after all that stuff… when I heard Red and Blue were in Alola, I knew I had to come here, even after all the crap those Alolans put me through… I am so, so, happy to see everyone here again.
She held on tight to them all, before hearing a loud BOOM! Startled, she huddled into the inner circle of the other three with a look of surprise on her face.
"O-oh right, I forgot, this Island is prone to massive storms when it's this late, we should head back to Seafolk, it's a lot safer there at this time of night anyhow.
"Ohhh, Maple."
Green took her hand and guided her back to the ferry, as she headed off ahead, Blue stopped Red.
"Yo… uhhh, that was real cool what you said just now, about… ya know, all the shit we all been through."
Red would laugh.
"Oh? I thought you had thought of me as some little bitch you'd like to start problems with for no reason."
Blue punched Red's arm in a joking manner.
"Bitch! I'm tryin' to give you a compliment! Damn!"
Once again Red would laugh as he punched Blue right back.
"Oh I know."
Tipping his hat with a smirk.
"You know I had to say that though, you Jackass."
"MOTHER- you know what? You right, I should NEVER give you compliments that easy! What was I thinking?!"
Blue let out a loud laugh as he sped ahead of Red to catch up with Green and Maple.
"Hmph."
Red looked up to the night sky…
"Just what is this place anyway… Alola? Strange…"
"YO! Let's leave without Red! Let's ditch his sorry ass! HAHAHA-OW! M-Maple! I-I was kidding!"
Hearing that Red laughed and quickly appeared to the rest of the group… almost as if he teleported, but that's impossible, right?
"Gee! There you are, Bitch!"
Blue was then punched again.
"OWWWW, kidding! Sheesh…"
Turning up his nose, he went back to sit at the end of the small ferry, Maple pulled on Red's sleeve.
"Yes? What is it, Maple?"
"We gotta go somewhere else now, there's a person who needs to see you."
Raising a brow, he and her walked to where Blue and Green had already been seated.
"Oh? And just who is this person?"
Nodding slowly, closing her eyes before opening them again.
"This person is in a place called Aether Paradise… don't let the name-"
"Fool me? Hahah, oh, that name just has trouble written all over it."
Covering her mouth, but lowering her hands, she'd smile at him.
"Hehe, yep! They were the big bad guys! I took em down a peg though! Our next stop is that man-made island in the sky. When we get back to Seafolk, I know exactly how we can get there!"
Taking him by the hand she hopped a bit as they finally sat down with Blue and Green, Maple waving her hands excitedly.
"Alola friends!"
The Captain said gleefully as they finally departed from Exeggutor Island.
