Magic Core Type?
It dictates what magic you can use and how powerful it is. Runic gives a buff to rune crafting and enchanting spell types while being detrimental to offensive spell types like cryomancy. You can still use direct spells but they will cost more and deal less damage.

As the message faded a menu appeared. In the center was a tall boy with dark brown hair. He, or I suppose I, looked like a standard Irish kid. One you would see in a crowd in an anime and never fully remember.
"Okay, first I wanna be taller. Is it dumb and shallow? Yes. Am I dumb and shallow? Also yes." I said, making my hair a poisonous green and my eyes a toxic purple. Switching between the hairstyles I settled on Owains from Fire Emblem Awakening. Long hair is nice but I think I'll try to keep it out of my face for now. Looking closer I had fangs, and four thin, spindly legs that could retract into my back. I vaguely remember that there was a Spider Faunus in season four or five that could shoot webs and I think had multiple eyes. I didn't really spend a lot of time in character creators before so it's whatever I guess. Spinning the character I shrugged and clicked ready.

As a brilliant light blinded me before I blinked the spots out of my eyes looking around I was in an empty clearing with brilliant emerald trees and blades of grass that danced in the winds. Cracking my knuckles and popping my thumbs I looked at the fingerless gloves on my hands. These look kinda like ones Red had in Pokemon Adventures.

I have no weapon. Fuck me. Using earth magic to make a coin I drew a basic energy storage rune on it that would store Magic from the enemies I killed to make sure I have a trump card. I'm a spider so I should be able to maybe make weapons out of my webs like the spider guy from Naruto. Please let me do that.

Crafting a pair of swords out of the Threads I gave them a few test swings. Cracking my neck Thunderbrand hummed on my back as it boosted my attack speed and made me faster. A growl behind me made me turn as a Beowolf stalked closer. Please let this work.

Throwing it at the Beowolf it sank into its side, making it whine. Recalling the sword I rushed towards it. Ducking under it's swipe with it's paw I swung as hard as I could, making it's head fly off.

Sighing I moved back to the center of the field. A set of growls made we turn around once more. Okay, that's three Beowolves. I can do this. Rushing towards them I ducked under one swing and dodged out of the way of a bite as I slashed at the nose of the one that came in for a bite. The third tried to circle me as I cut off the arm of the first Beowolf.
Critical Hit! Double Damage!
"Is this seriously it? Some meager pups? You couldn't kill a child!" I said, taunting them. At this rate I'm gonna spend most of the time waiting for the next wave. One of the Beowolves howled as more howls responded from further away. Why am I like this. Rushing forward and slashing the firsts head, and cleaved the final beowolf in half as almost a dozen Beowolves stalked out of the woods.

Coat your blades in Fire, cleave through armor with ease, chop arrows in half and make your enemies cower away from you. Eventually. For now, just focus on not dying spectacularly.
Glancing at my MP it had barely dropped from the cleave. Checking the coin in my pocket it was partially filled with Lightning Charge from the Beowolves. Who would have guessed that Beowolves are electrically inclined?
"So you freaks are Lightning charged? Who would have guessed?" I said. Rushing towards one of them I dispelled one sword and pulled out the coin. Flipping it to activate the Magic stored inside I coated my sword in the lightning before slicing through two of the Beowolfs with ease. Using Observe on the sword it shouldn't have done that much damage.

Nice. Swinging the sword I sliced through the next Beowolves as if they were made of butter. Dodging to the side of a rolling bone white mass it uncurled to reveal a Boboartusk. Let's see what Observe says about shall we?

Grinning I slashed at it with my sword as it sliced it open. Slicing through another Beowolf as it jumped at my I felt the battle maniac perk start to almost sing as I felt a maniacal grin tub at my lips, revealing a sharp set of fangs. A laugh ripped from my throat as I rushed the Beowolfs ripping them to shreds with my sword as they struggled to escape me. Forcing some of my MP into the sword to enhance the Lightning on it I swung horizontally to send out a wave of lightning catching a few Boboartusks and over a Dozen Beowolfs in it. Grinning I looked around at the massive horde that had surrounded me. This is gonna be fun. Slicing off the head of one Beowolf and slicing a Boboartusk in half as it rolled towards me the Horde slowly thinned as I cut down the mob.
"Come on then! Aren't you lot the antithesis of life itself? Or are you simply a bunch of fodder for anyone with a bit of firepower?" I shouted. Looking around, only maybe a dozen Beowolves and a handful of Boboartusks remained. Filling the sword with my MP it blazed to life in one final rush. The Grimm rushed me, hoping to kill me with pure numbers. My grin nearly split my face in two as a spin attack reminiscent of Links sliced them to ribbons as the swords Lightning fizzled out. I collapsed to my knees as I drew in heavy breaths. Looking at my MP it was almost completely empty as I looked around. The previously pristine clearing was scarred and burnt with deep gouges in the ground and grass that once flowed in the wind now burnt to a crisp by the Lightning's extreme heat. I laughed wheezily as I looked at my stat sheet.

Staggering to my feet I hummed in confusion at the lack of quest rewards. Looking at the coin it was completely empty. My finisher draining it entirely and making me dip into my MP. Sighing I stood up and stretched. A single growl made me sigh as I turned. That's a big Beowolf.
Alpha Beowolf

A Beowolf that has managed to survive until adulthood. It's power eclipses that of a standard Beowolf many times over. It has begun to store its Magic but cannot properly use it.
"Alright buddy let's do this." I said. Rushing towards it I dodged it's quick swipes and managed to graze it with my sword as we both backed away. Dodging its attacks and making quick swipes I managed to slowly whittle it down a bit. Ducking under a swipe I quickly rushed as close as I could and cleaved its head off.
"Shit." I muttered, dropping to a knee as I felt a coppery tang in my mouth. I'm well past my limits and deep into my magic. That bloodthirsty trait is more trouble than I thought it'd be. If I have to fight anything else I'm probably done for. Standing up a group of three more Alphas greeted me. Letting them come to me I parried the first ones attack and made the second back away with a close call with my sword, however the third landed a solid hit that sent me reeling back and stumbling. Checking my Aura I had taken over half from that one swipe. While I was distracted the first broke my Aura with a backhand as the second created a long gash on my arm that I was too slow to dodge. Glaring at them I bit my lips before deciding fuck it. Rushing towards them I prepared myself to die. Letting out a final battle cry they were incinerated by a wall of flames making me stumble backwards. What.
