" ASTA,NO!" He had managed to switch places with Noelle before Hades' portal to the underworld fully closed.
As only half of his body remained with a smile comparable to luck's and a thumbs up his last words to her were " Don't worry, I'll just kick this guy's ass and get right back, I promise". Before the portal closed leaving Noelle in the dungeon alone in complete silence
The only thing she felt was the tears coming down her cheeks, and a desperate plea through sobs. " Asta… Please come back…"
After a couple of hours of fumbling around the dungeon trying to find the exit, Noelle used her valkyrie armour to fly straight to the capital to inform the Wizard King of what happened on her mission.
"Wizard King there is something I need to tell you" Noelle says in a panicked voice busting the door of his office wide open.
" Okay, calm down okay. Deep breaths Deep Breaths" Julis responded a bit startled.
After she had calmed down, the Wizard King asked Noelle "I'm guessing this has to do with the mission I sent you on and possibly Devils?"
After explaining everything that had transpired in the dungeon, Noelle started crying again and with the best attempts to comfort her the Wizard king got her to calm down.
" I see this is quite bad. Considering the only knowledge we have on devils is quiet and limited and the one with most experience has been taken we aren't in a good situation. Also the part about tearing them apart has me unsettling"
After a bit of thought Juilis came to the decision to call the magic Knight Captains for a meeting
" Well Well WELL, look at you RUNNING my fun" Hades said in quite angrily at Asta. " I was sooooo looking forward to you in ruins and despair after seeing your little girlfriend be taken from you, honestly, than you had to go and switch places with her"
" Like I would let your plans come to fruition, and besides we aren't dating we are friends" Asta responded to the Devil
"Friends you say, the interesting side benefit of being a devil is that I can see what one desires, offer it to them at a devastating cost, it's quite fun really. But when I look into your eyes I can see how much you really want her, and briefly with her she wants you back" Hades said.
"Noelle doesn't think of me like that we are just moth comrades who hold he eachother in high regards." Our magicless friend replied
"Now here is the problem, YOUR too dense to get it through your head she wants to be more than friends and SHE isn't honest with herself about her own feelings." snapped back. "Jeez look at me having a casual conversation about your love life in the underworld while your all tied up"
