Just when we thought things were calming down, portals start opening all over the city, summoning cowboys, monsters, and a dozen Death Eggs in the sky. Stryfe and Kang must be behind this, for one last desperate shot for our Time Factors. Well, I got three words for those punks: Bring it on!

BGM-Sonic Generations OST- Vs. Metal Sonic (Stardust Speedway Bad Future JP)

The Battle of Nueva Vale is raging on thanks to Kang's machinations. Portals to different eras have opened in the city thanks to his Solaris Master System, summoning all sorts of beings from across time to invade. Cowboys. Zombies. Chitauri aliens. Every strange thing that one could imagine. Even Kang's own purple-themed Kang Minions are here ravaging the place, giving the local huntsmen and police trouble with their insanely more advanced weaponry.

Classic Sonic, Spider-Man 2099, and Summer would more than love to help out the authorities, if they weren't too busy being pursued by two massive Death Egg Drones, which were also pulled through time. They may, literally, not be on the same scale as the original Death Egg, but it's still packing frightening laser blasts that are forcing the trio to dodge while running down the streets below.

"Best guess on what's happening now…is that Stryfe is invading the city with time travel shenanigans." Sonic jokes while still running away from the egg-shaped clones.

"That seems to be the case! He's opening portals to different timelines and summoning whatever to sew chaos! We need to find the source of these portals and shut it down! Which means stopping Stryfe!" said Miguel, believing that Stryfe is behind this invasion, which isn't far from the truth, but it is really Kang that is behind this craziness.

Suddenly, a laser blast hits beside the trio, surrounding them with smoke. They slide out of it and continue fleeing from the Death Egg Drones and their powerful lasers that are literally tearing through buildings, causing them to collapse. "If this keeps up, they'll destroy the whole city!" Miguel claimed.

Summer scowls, "Not on my watch!" before flying to the sky then around a Death Egg, countering its beams with devastating fireballs until it blows up.

"Awesome! They may look like Death Eggs, but not as powerful! Or as big." Sonic grins, noting with a glance that the Death Egg Drones are as powerful as a Super Badnik and can be classified as such.

Things aren't calming down for a second as Kang Minions surprise Sonic and Spidey with energy bullets that impede their path, and homing missiles that are powerful enough to knock them out for a moment. "Guys!" Summer exclaims in shocking horror to them, distracted from the second Death Egg Drone firing a powerful laser shot that knocks her out of the sky.

But backup is quickly arriving in the form of Classic Tails, as well as Elsa, Cerebra, and Sticks riding the Schnee's summoned Sphinx Grimm. "SUUUUUMER!" screams Tails, flying to her rescue by grabbing her by the arm in midair.

Elsa then jumps off her mount, and while falling from the sky coolly transforms her energy saber into an energy bow that shoots out a fiery ice arrow that instantly freezes the Kang Minions before landing next to the awakening Sonic and Spidey. "Elsa! Nice to see your group is okay." Spidey told her.

"Hope you don't mind if we drop in. We escaped Ock's lab right after beating her and as this…mess started happening." She replied, a little bewildered by all these time-crossing enemies.

"A temporal mess." Spidey added. "Stryfe's behind this." He turns to Sonic, "Sonic, you lend Silver and his team a hand dealing with him. Your speed has proven to outpace his psionics. The rest of us will protect the people and keep the streets clear of this mess."

Spidey's order was acknowledged by a quiet nod from Sonic before he runs off, right while Cerebra is commanding the Sphinx to relentlessly spit fireballs at the Death Egg Drone. "Get cooked, Devil Egg!" Sticks insults the drone, while their mount is also dodging lasers and missiles relentlessly.

"It's actually called 'DEATH Egg'." Tails corrects the badger while holding onto Summer.

"Same difference." Sticks retorted.

BGM-Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 OST-Into the Fray

Certainly, these time rifts have made the Chrono Avengers' job protecting history a whole lot tougher now with the amount of history pouring into this era. Classic Knuckles has his hands full punching out medieval soldiers that are trying to shoot him, while Young Salem uses her hands to conjure flames that burn the murmuring mummies approaching her.

But nothing is as tough as Cable and Silver trying to knock down Stryfe, the Chaos-Bringer. Cable summons four time-clones by his side, as all five of them unleash a simultaneous energy beam that Stryfe leaps over, conjuring down energy meteors that take out the time-clones and leaves the real Avenger open for a brutal punch to the face that knocks him backwards. Right before Stryfe continues his assault, a large hovercar is suddenly thrown at his face thanks to Silver. The hovercar explodes, knocking the Chaos-Bringer onto an electric grenade that was thrown by Cable which explodes and stuns him.

"No holding back!" shouts Cable, summoning a hovering circle of plasma cannons over his stunned clone, "Don't give him a chance to run!" He then shouts to Silver.

"Right!" Silver retorts as he further paralyzes Stryfe with everything in his power. Stryfe struggles to break free from his hold, but those struggles end when Cable pulls the trigger on his hovering energy cannons that blast him with continuous unstable energy that can break down matter on a molecular level, enough for Stryfe to scream out in pain. The torture nearly ends as Cable pulls out his own energy cannon to wield, charging it up for a massive energy blast that once it was unleashed at Stryfe, it consumes him in a massive explosion that nearly blows away both Avengers.

"Did we get him? Did we win?" An impatient Silver asked.

It becomes quiet. A little too quiet as Silver and Cable stare at the massive smoke their team attack is emitting from the spot where Stryfe stood. They seem to have beaten him, killed him perhaps, but Cable knows better, since Stryfe is his clone. And like the original, Stryfe is too stubborn to stay down until the mission is done.

BGM-Super Dragon Ball Heroes OST-A Fierce Battle to Death

From outside the smoke, one can make out the silhouette of Stryfe inside as his eyes begin glowing an ominous blue of terror. And with a loud terrifying, "WRRAAAAAAH!" the smoke disperses to the wind to reveal Stryfe enveloped in the same dark aura that once corrupted Knuckles earlier. The Solaris Aura. This time, he powered himself up with the Time Factor

"Talk about intense! Where did THIS power come from?!" A now more shocked Silver questioned.

"The Time Factor." Cable calmly answers him. "He's using it to empower himself with Solaris's energy, in the same manner he corrupted Knuckles." He gets into a defensive position with his energy cannon, "Be on your guard! We don't know what new tricks that Aura is giving him!"

"I can demonstrate a few." Stryfe quipped. The Dark Chaos-Bringer thrusts his right hand at his enemies, and with a wicked grin he shouts, "Time Break!" With the powers of Solaris flowing through his body, Stryfe is now capable of slowing down the flow of time, thus slowing down everything caught in the radius of this power. That includes, Silver and Cable and the other two Chrono Avengers, Team 2099 and Cerebra, as well as Team Classic right as their leader nears the enemy's position. Maliciously, Stryfe shows off another new move taken from the Time Eater: a massive barrage of Homing Shots that were fired into the air to rain down on each hero before they got the chance to react. Sonic was the only one able to dodge just a few thanks to his super-speed only being greatly reduced, but it wasn't enough to save him from the remaining onslaught that put him down right before the time flow returns to normal.

With all his enemies incapacitated, Dark Stryfe levitates to the air while telekinetically taking Silver and Spider-Man with him. He takes out his Energy Absorber and is finally free to absorb Spidey's Time Factor, with the unexpected bonus of Silver's. "No way…Part of the Time Factor was inside me too…?" Silver weakly questioned.

"You fought Solaris, didn't you? You were at least involved in the conflicts revolving him. It is the only explanation." said Stryfe, before mockingly grinning out, "How lucky of me. I was ordered to steal the Factors from the chosen in this era and the Classic Era. What an unexpected bonus you were." He lets Silver and Spidey fall to the streets after extracting their Factors before ascending higher to the sky to ominously proclaim to his enemies, "My mission is complete. I have what I came here for. Now I will sit back and watch this era fall into complete despair."

And right after his big threat teleports away, an even bigger threat seamlessly warps into the skies of Nueva Vale as the form of an immense sword-shaped time warship that is scaring civilians to run for their lives. That is Damocles Base, which is frightenly under the control of Kang the Conqueror as the stage has been set for him to conquer 2099.

'PEOPLE OF NUEVA VALE. I AM KANG…THE CONQUEROR.' says Kang, speaking to the entire city through his ship's loudspeakers while he continues, 'THOUSANDS OF CIVILIZATIONS HAVE FALLEN TO MY FORCES, AND YOUR WORLD WILL FARE NO BETTER. LET YOUR CHAMPIONS TRY AND STOP ME.' He taunts the heroes right as they recover from Stryfe's attack, 'NO ONE, THROUGHOUT TIME, IN ALL OF SPACE, HAS EVER BEEN ABLE TO BEST ME! ALL HAIL KANG!' He boasted calmly and arrogantly while his time-traveling forces continue plundering the city into the true meaning of chaos.

"That…is one BIG sword." Summer quips through her stunned horror of her world being invaded by a supervillain from the far future.

"Looks more plain than the Death Egg. Both still looking WIDELY ridiculous for ships." Sonic jokes while civilians are fleeing and screaming.

"Take this seriously, you two!" Cable retorts, berating them for joking during a time like this, "Stryfe is no longer our biggest concern. It's Kang! He is the one behind ALL OF THIS! This may be our ONLY shot at taking him down, taking back the Master Emerald, and shutting down the Solaris Project. If we fail, you can kiss this world goodbye." He said bluntly, which gave Teams Classic and 2099 something to think seriously about for a moment.

Silver shamefully scratches his quills, "I do want to apologize, for my Time Factor being taken. Didn't know one was hidden inside me this whole time."

"No need for apologizes. It was only recently you regained your memories of fighting Solaris. His defeat must've also released the Time Factor. Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if the older Sonic and Shadow have a piece." Cable comforts his protégé.

"You and older me fought Solaris? I had a feeling that was the case when Strange told us he was beaten by 'three golden warriors'." Sonic recalled.

"Forget about that and focus on the present! What are we going to do about Kang?!" Miguel retorts while fiercely pointing up at Damocles Base.

BGM-Super Dragon Ball Heroes OST-Final Battle

Kang wasn't their only concern. A powerful force from above got the heroes' attention as it lands right in front of them, pushing them back with incredible shockwaves. "What's that?" Miguel wondered. As the smoke clears, Metallix appears in plain view while still damaged from his recent fight with Sonic, but still possessing enough energy to furiously erupt his aura and shock his enemies.

"Metallix?! Step aside! We got bigger fish to fry!" Sonic expresses his annoyance of his counterpart's survival and persistence to another fight. He glances at Miguel, "Webs!" to signal him into overloading Metallix's system like he did before.

"Leave it to me!" Spidey replied as he readies to do so.

But Metallix has seen through their tricks and won't be beaten the same way twice. Without warning, he blasts Spidey down with an EMP to short-circuit his systems, including Lyla, before he could do the same to him again, then charges forward at light-speed and strikes a mighty blow to the midsections of both Sonic and Summer, forcing them to cough out blood before they are knocked aside. The menacing machine turns around to face Knuckles, Elsa, and Cerebra, who attempt to attack him. But with a single magical blast, he takes out all three while blasting the remaining heroes to the grasp of the time-displaced Symbiods, with the exception of Cable who is brutally hugged by a Deadpooloid that is very similar to the regular Symbiod except with a mask and the undergarments that remind him of his extremely annoying mercury friend.

Cable grunts, "What hell is this?! No matter the timeline, I can't seem to escape this idiot…!" while struggling to break free from the Deadpooloid's hug.

Metallix stomps his foot on Spidey's unconscious back, pinning him down while looming over him with murderous intent. He doesn't bother speaking like he did before. His ominous silence and glaring eyes are enough to say that he has had enough of their persistence and wants them dead. He materializes his energy sword into his right hand and raises it high to the sky, ready to kill Spider-Man once and for all before moving onto the remaining heroes. But as he's about to deliver to killing blow, an energy blast that came out of nowhere knocks his blade out of his hand.

BGM-Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 OST-Standing Together

The Super Badnik turns his glare to the sky to find his armored assailant, a hero that greatly resembles the legendary Iron Man flying towards him. Before he could blast him out of the sky, he was quick to turn and block the fierce roundhouse kick from a black-skinned woman that appears to be the Black Widow of this era. The kick may have been blocked, but it was still strong enough to knock him into the brutal bearhug of the Prince of Power, Hercules.

"Foul machine! Hands off the Man of Spiders!" Hercules expressed. Metallix was quick to break free from the god's grasp with his Hulk-like strength and kick him back, only for a winged Hawkeye to swoop in and kick the robot into a building.

With Spider-Man saved and awakening, attentions were turned to the other heroes that needed rescue from the Symbiods. As swift as the wind, Valkyrie 2099 appears blitzing the Symbiods with her sword, freeing her allies before the alien robots are burned to a crisp by Argyle the Crocodile's Burst Wispon. The Deadpooloid receives special treatment, with its head clapped to a sorry mess by a sudden Hulk 2099, freeing Cable.

"Hulk?" Cable expresses his slight surprise to be staring at this future's Hulk.

"Not just me, pal." Hulk crosses his arms, as he is swiftly joined by the rest of the Defenders led by Strange 2099, while Captain America 2099 jumps in to join her Avengers beside them, consisting of Iron Man 2099, Black Widow 2099, Hawkeye 2099, and Hercules 2099.

"Avengers and Defenders?" Elsa expresses her surprise to be rescued by Earth's Mightiest Heroes.

"Appears we came to your rescue just in time." Strange said to the rescued heroes.

"We would've arrived sooner if Sonic TOLD us what was going on." Cap criticizes the hedgehog for leaving them after they were kind enough to heal him from his first battle with Metallix.

Sonic sheepishly rubs his quills while saying, "Sorry. Was in a rush to save the day."

Iron Man scoffs, "Right. Explain why a robot you was destroying the city, right before this Kang character appeared to do the same?"

"Long story, tin man. Let's focus beating them both before they completely destroy everything." Sonic quipped.

"Sonic's right. Though I am a little surprised seeing the Avengers and Defenders side-by-side. Usually you two are at each other's throats." Spidey said to both teams.

"Usually from Alchemax's orders to arrest them for their vigilantism. Orders that I was personally not fond of." Cap explained.

"But this crisis requires all parties to settle their differences and work together." says Silver Surfer stepping forward as he continues, "I know of Kang and his terrifying power from his battles with the original Avengers. He will not rest until all of time is conquered. We must stop him before this world belongs to him."

"And that is EXACTLY what we're going to do. We'll split into two teams: One will keep the streets safe from his forces, while the second team board his ship." Spidey says as he points to Damocles Base, "No doubt Kang is in possession of a time machine that are in control of these time portals. Shut it down and we shut down this invasion!"

Cap nods in agreement, "Sounds like a plan. Glad to see you're still fighting the good fight." She said, glad to see Spider-Man hasn't given up on heroics after their last encounter.

"Glad I have friends to remind me of who we're fighting for." Miguel replied, unknowingly making Summer smile since she played a huge role to boost his confidence.

"It won't be easy infiltrating Kang's ship. He'll be expecting a counterassault." Cable said, stepping forward to join the leaders of this futuristic alliance.

"Then let's not keep him waiting." Cap said to him. The 2099 Avenger takes a stand beside Cable, Spider-Man, Sonic, and Strange, as all five stand before their massive team of heroes. She dramatically raises her vibranium shield to the sky, striking a pose before shouting out the iconic battle cry, "AVENGERS, ASSEMBLE!" as the heroes begin their counterattack against Kang the Conqueror.

Meanwhile at Alchemax…

Tyler Stone stands behind a glass window in his office overseeing the destruction Kang's forces are bringing to his city. Civilians are dying left and right or being taken prisoner by the time-traveling scum, both tragedies in which Stone pays little attention to as he only cares about his own safety and the safety of his company.

Just then, Winston walks into his office to tell his boss, "Sir. Doctor Patel is in recovery and the Avengers have been mobilized, though I should tell you that they have aligned themselves with the Defenders, and Spider-Man."

Stone scoffs while not facing his assistant, "Let them work alongside those criminals. It'll make little difference in the grand scheme."

"Grand scheme? What are you up to, Mr. Stone?" Winston questions his boss.

Stone finally turns to him as he answers, "If my Avengers are successful in repelling this invasion, much of the city will still be left destroyed. I will then offer to rebuild the city, completely under my control, which will gain international trust that will never waver again and leave my competitors to the dust."

"And if the Avengers happen to fail?" Winston asked.

Stone grins, "Kang intends to conquer the world, not destroy it. And I've made insurances with 'powerful people' to ensure that Alchemax continues to reign supreme in the new era. One without Spider-Man and his annoying friends." He implies to his assistant of his recent allegiance to Stryfe and Kang. The corrupt CEO turns back to his window and orders his assistant, "Go and inform the Public Eye that I have authorized full force against Kang. It'll be good for my image."

"Sure. I DO hope you know what you've gotten yourself into." Winston warns his boss of the indescribable forces that he has entangled himself with before leaving his office.

But Stone couldn't care about the consequences of his plans. Not during this decisive war that'll change the fate of the future. He stares down, through his window to continue spectating the battle as he mutters to himself, "I can only imagine how poorly things are going for you. Should've quit being the Bug a long time ago so you wouldn't have to suffer this fate. Do not be mistaken. You led yourself to this death, my son." He grins evilly, having been quietly aware that Miguel O'Hara, his own employee, is not only his biological son, but also the bane of his existence as his greatest enemy, Spider-Man.

Back outside…

BGM-Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 OST-The Fight Rages On

The incredible war against Kang rages on with the Avengers, Chrono Avengers, Defenders, Team 2099, and Team Classic leading the fight for their future. Though they don't like it, the Public Eye Patrol are under direct orders from Alchemax to assist their enemy Spider-Man against the massive horde of temporal goons, distracting them with SIEGE-armored cops as the webslinger flies up to the sky and webs every enemy in sight, while unleashing his Accelerated Decoys to further the devastation.

"Focus on getting those people to safety, Hawkeye!" says Black Widow while she's fending off a squadron of Kang Minions on her own.

"And YOU focus on not killing people!" retorts Hawkeye while assisting Tails and Argyle with civilian evacuation.

With a smirk, Widow delivers a deadly kick to a Minion before knocking him back with a backflip kick to swiftly unsheathe her spider-stingers from her wrist gauntlets. "No promises." She quipped.

Unleashing a fraction of his telekinetic ability, Cable lifts zombies, robots, and pirates from different eras into the air and slam them down with crushing force. And while Sticks screams, flails her arms as she runs away from pursuing Symbiods, she unintentionally leads them to a readied Salem, who coldly burns them alive with the raw destructive flames of her magic.

In the amidst of this city-wide spectacle, Valkyrie and Metallix are blitzing each other at blinding speeds, clashing fiercely with their respective blades. While the goddess leaps through the air, the robot fires several blasts that were swiftly deflected by her sword before they lock weapons. "You may be a copy of Sonic the Hedgehog, but a soulless machine like yourself will prove NO MATCH for an Asgardian Goddess!" Valkyrie boasts, while she and Metallix fiercely struggle to overcome the other.

Elsewhere, Hercules and Elsa found themselves together battling against Kang's large, four-legged battle robots that are named Scarab Fighters. They are formidable machines with their clawed tentacle arms that can pierce through almost anything, requiring Elsa to slice them off then freeze the robots with her ice before Hercules could shatter them into pieces with his godlike punches.

"An impressive strategy with the ice, Ms. Schnee. Perhaps after this war we grab some dinner." Hercules flirts with the beautiful huntress.

Elsa calmly grins at him with, "I think you'll be dining alone as usual."

Though he was briefly shocked by the cold rejection, Hercules just laughs it off, "You're such a charmer. Then instead of dinner, a cup of coffee. I'll even pay for it."

"Persistence will get you nowhere." quips Elsa, tiredly crossing her arms while turning away from the god trying to ask her out for a date. Their playful banter stops when they were surprised witnessing the Scarab Fighters rebuilding themselves from the smallest scrap. "Same with these guys. It appears they could regenerate from fatal blows." Elsa notes before smirking, "Nice to know this won't be boring."

"You'll search for anything fun that isn't signing paper work!" retorts Summer nearby, teaming up with Sub-Mariner against a whole pack of purple metallic Kangdroids.

"Even a king must find ways to cool off from his stressful responsibilities." Sub-Mariner said before stabbing the ground with his trident to summon a powerful wave to flood the Kangdroids.

"That's a shock." quips Summer while blasting electricity to the waters to violently electrocute the robots into oblivion.

Inside Damocles Base

Kang and his lover are watching the Battle of Nueva Vale unfold from the comforts of the command deck, with the Conqueror smiling at the destruction his forces are unleashing throughout this timeline. "There is no greater satisfaction than that of triumph forged on the battlefield. Isn't it glorious, my dear Ravonna?" He asks her.

"Such devastation…Your might is unsurpassable, my Kang." Ravonna smiles while giving him a flirty hug, pleasing him greatly.

"It IS quite the spectacle." Stryfe suddenly chimes into the conversation as he appears walking towards the couple with the Energy Absorber.

"Much less embarrassing than what YOU'VE shown off." The smirking Ravonna mocks the mutant.

The annoyed Stryfe scoffs at her with, "I still completed my mission absorbing the Time Factors of this era and the Classic Age." He telekinetically hands Kang the black orb infused with the collected Factors, "As a bonus, not only I sent you experimented data of them thanks to Alchemax, but I managed to steal the Factor from that Silver Hedgehog."

"Excellent work, Stryfe. The more Factors I have, the more perfected the Solaris Master System will become." Kang smiled.

Ravonna turns back to a holo-screen displaying the battle, this time more focused on the heroes clashing with their forces. "The Chrono Avengers and their allies of this era fight with spirit." She commented, before turning to another screen displaying a futuristic Quinjet flying towards their ship, "And it would appear some of them are approaching our ship."

Kang shakes his head of arrogance as he remarks, "Insignificant ants. They pose no threat. But still, I would like to watch them prove just how LITTLE of a threat they are." He grinned evilly.

Outside Damocles Base

BGM-Sonic X OST-Battle

A team of heroes consisting of Captain America, Hulk, Strange, Sonic, Knuckles, and Cerebra are riding a Quinjet, with Iron Man, Silver Surfer, and Silver flying through their own abilities as they all fly together towards Damocles Base with the objective to defeat Kang and stop this invasion. But Kang won't go down so easily. Alongside Death Egg Drones and other temporal flying creatures, his ship unleashes a fleet of smaller drones to stall them.

"Contacts! Dead ahead!" Cerebra informs her allies, in charge of monitoring their enemies with the jet's scanners while Cap pilots the jet.

"We see 'em! We'll give you an opening!" Iron Man responds, working alongside the Silvers to blast down as many drones as they could, giving their friends that opening to attack Damocles directly.

"They gave us that opening!" Knuckles told the Captain.

"Locking on the Sword Ship!" Cap follows her own commands as she targets Damocles, blasting it with a barrage of the most powerful missiles Alchemax could manufacture. But those missiles were too weak to breach the ship's shields, unleashing a shockwave as a powerful counterattack to blow the Quinjet out of the sky.

"Five seconds to impact…" The horrified Cerebra informs everyone as the jet spirals out of control.

"Prepare to eject!" Cap ordered as her allies desperately hold onto something before they could eject, or crash.

BGM End

Seconds before crashing, the Quinjet was miraculously saved thanks to Silver catching them with his psychokinesis, but not without a little difficulty considering the amount of people inside a large jet. "Thanks, kid." Cap said to the psychic.

"You're welcome. So what just happened?" Silver asked.

"I can answer that. Kang's force shield is creating a concussive feedback loop." Iron Man answered.

"So the harder we hit it, the harder it hits back." Cap noted.

"From what my analysis is telling me, the force shield concentrates its energy at the point of attack. If we can attack faster than it can, we might break through!" Iron Man analyzed.

Sonic smiles out, "I'm pretty fast."

"So am I. Let us work together on this, Sonic." Silver Surfer proposes a team attack on Damocles Base.

"Yeah!" Sonic retorted excitedly.

BGM-Sonic X OST-Sonic's Solution

Strange teleports Sonic out of the Quinjet to atop of Surfer's board before they charge towards the time ship. As they near the warship, Sonic jumps into a spinball and strikes it everywhere at hypersonic speeds while dodging the concussive counters. Surfer follows his lead, moving at speeds beyond light to also dodge the counterattacks and blast the ship with powerful cosmic energy.

Damocles Base

The combined high-speed forces of Sonic and Silver Surfer were enough to shake the entire ship apart from the inside, causing Kang's men to collapse from the shaking while it mildly annoys Kang himself. "Creative, but insufficient. Decrease shield refresh interval to ten picoseconds!" He orders his men to do immediately. "I may have underestimate the ingenuity of this era's Avengers. Time I pit them against a more formidable challenge." He said smiling ominously, while his Solaris Master System is powering up in its chamber.

BGM-Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 OST-Ultimate Confrontation

With the modifications to its shield, Damocles Base finally repels both Sonic and Surfer via painful electrocution, forcing them to fall from high in the sky and crash onto the city. And if that wasn't bad enough, something tremendously massive and frightening powerful seamlessly materializes into this timespace near the grounded heroes. It appears to be Eson the Searcher, the seeker and quester among the cosmic entities known as the Celestials, and it has been summoned by Kang to destroy the heroes for good as it sends the Quinjet flying through the sky with a simple blast from its palm.

"What in the name of the multiverse is THAT?!" A terrified Tails asked, while Sonic and Surfer are helped to their feet by Argyle and Salem respectively.

"A Celestial, one of the legendary cosmic gods, here? But why?" A horrified Hercules wondered.

"Who knows?" says Summer while wielding her dual-pistols in confrontation of the approaching Celestial, "But he doesn't look like he's looking to make friends!" She quipped.

Damocles Base

"My Kang, Eson the Searcher, is that not overkill?!" asked a surprised Ravonna, as both she, and even Stryfe to a small degree, are shocked that Kang has the gall to summon one of the most powerful cosmic beings from across time and space simply to kill the heroes.

"Too much?" Kang calmly respond. "I found him at the end of time, fading and broken." He chuckles, "So he shouldn't destroy them too quickly." before breaking into maniacal laughter.

BGM-Sonic Generations (3DS) OST-Boss: Big Arm

The cosmic god Eson takes big steps at a time through the city, not caring about what or who he is crushing under his heel. He doesn't know how he arrived to this timeline, so he does what he was born to do and seek answers. And once he claims those answers, he will annihilate the idiot that was responsible for stealing him from his timespace. Unfortunately for the heroes, he seeks them out for answers first and intends to crush them for starting a war that brought him here.

As the heroes make their final stand against the approaching Celestial, he seemingly waves at them. "Hey, is that thing waving at us?" A confused Argyle wondered.

"I think so! HELLO, GIANT MISUNDERSTOOD CREATURE!" Sticks loudly greets the cosmic giant.

Sadly, Eson wasn't waving at them to say hello. In actuality, he waves them a massive green energy beam that instantly scares the heroes to dodge it before they could be annihilated. "No, wait. It's attacking! Watch out, guys!" shouted the terrified Argyle.

"This day just gets better and better! Did you do something to get on this thing's bad side, Sonic?" asks Spidey while swinging away from more energy beams.

"Why does everyone keep asking me that? No, not this time. I never MET a Celestial until this guy a minute ago!" quips Sonic.

"Actually, you met and destroyed a 'Super Celestial' decades ago. According to history." Elsa remarks, firing ice arrows that aren't freezing any limb of the cosmic giant.

"Well history is obviously changing because I'm only NOW meeting one!" Sonic retorts, narrowly running away from the giant's cosmic energy barrages.

"All of you shut up and spread out! Attack this thing with everything you got! We're the last defense against Kang and his conquest of this world! DON'T GIVE UP EVEN IF YOU FEEL LIKE GIVING UP!" yells Cable, encouraging all his allies to fight until the day is saved, or else the world is doomed.

The heroes take Cable's orders to heart, spreading out from the streets to the rooftops to unleash the strongest moves in their arsenal against the mighty Celestial. From the air, Surfer and Summer unleash extremely powerful cosmic and magic blasts respectively at the head, while from the ground Cable and Argyle bust out their most powerful energy weapons at the lower torso. Widow and Sub-Mariner attack the legs, while Tails and Hawkeye dodge cosmic ice shards in the air so Hercules could deliver the godliest uppercut to the giant's maw. Eson was taken aback from the uppercut, but besides that, none of the heroes' attacks did any sufficient damage as it was left more than capable unleashing a cosmic tornado that blows them all away, some of their most powerful through a few buildings.

Sonic attempts to Spin Dash the Celestial's head, only to stun himself with a wounded leg while repelled to a rooftop. "Sonic, be careful! That Celestial is impervious to most standard attacks!" Valkyrie warns the hedgehog, a little too late.

"Now you tell me!" Sonic snarks, before being noticed by the cosmic giant. Eson summons down from the cosmos a barrage of cosmic lightning at Sonic, terrifying him as he narrowly dodges each of them at blinding speed until one powerful lightning bolt manages to zap him, knocking him off the skyscraper as it collapses from the lightning bolts. Fortunately, Spidey comes to his rescue and catches him in a web net to recover on, "Thanks, Webs…!"

"No problem! Really wish you brought the Chaos Emeralds though if you had a feeling things with Stryfe would get this crazy!" Miguel snarked.

"And make this easy? I can travel through time, not SEE into the future!" Sonic quipped.

"This is impossible. How are we to beat this god?" asks a worried Salem, taking cover behind debris from the Celestial's cosmic attacks. "My future self tried to do the same, leading an army against two, only for them to wipe out all humanity in an instant. What's stopping this one from doing the same?" She asked, worried that history will repeat itself in this era.

"Fortunately for us, Eson the Searcher was summoned at its weakest!" replied Silver Surfer, flying around the giant that is trying to swat him like a bug while blasting it with staggering cosmic blasts. "I can hold him off for a while! Find weakpoints to weaken him further!" He shouts at his allies.

"Disabling his laser beam is a good start!" Tails notes the laser device embedded in Eson's left palm. "Any ideas?" He asks his friends.

"Why're you asking us? You're supposed to be the smart one!" Sticks retorted.

"My gravity mine might work if I can boost its power." Cable proposes his idea, unveiling to them a futuristic-looking energy mine.

"Use my Void Wisp! He should give it the boost you need." Argyle said, while a Violet Wisp flies out of his Void Wispon.

The crocodile points his Violet Wisp to Cable's gravity mine, commanding him to infuse himself with it and boost its power tremendously if they want to beat the Celestial. The Wisp barks in understanding of his important task and flies into the gravity mine. While Eson is distracted fighting other heroes, Cable plants the mine to the ground then activates it, watching his weapon burst into a miniature black hole with a gravitational pull so strong it bends space and time, ripping off Eson's laser component and absorbing it.

"It worked!" Sub-Mariner exclaims, glad to see Eson is weakening.

"Don't celebrate just yet! We haven't fully disabled his weapon's systems!" said Cable, touching his earpiece to contact, "Cap! If you weren't able to breach Kang's ship, we could use additional air support down here!"

'Roger! Closing into your area as we speak!' Cap replied. Eson notices the Quinjet flying towards him and summons cosmic fireballs to stall it for as long as he can, getting close landing a few direct hits. 'Strange, keep that thing restrained so I can show him our goods!' She orders the Sorceress Supreme.

'I will leash it with the Crimson Bands of Cyttorak!' quips Strange, conjuring massive red bands that proves strong enough to bind the Celestial, at least for a minute, long enough for Cap to repeatedly blast his left palm while narrowly dodging conjured lightning.

"Yeah, keep shooting! Seems we're finally gaining the edge over this oversized nuts 'n bolts!" Sonic cheered, watching the Quinjet holding its own against the cosmic giant from the sidelines.

But the hedgehog then feels something appearing from underneath the ground and below his feet as he is suddenly lifted up. He looks down to see it's Metallix, even during this major battle with a Celestial is persistent in challenging Sonic to another death match.

Sonic jumps away from his clone, as the two Sonics stand on opposite sides confronting each other. The organic hedgehog cockily wipes his nose while telling his counterpart, "Gotta give ya points for being persistent. Let's say we get down to the final fight! The last Sonic standing will be the winner."

"Fine by me. There is no world big enough for the both of us. One of us must leave, or perish." Metallix threatened coldly.

"Well, I agree!" Sonic retorted.

BGM-Sonic the Hedgehog OVA OST-South Island Theme

Sonic revs his Super Peel Out up to full power, while Metallix charges his thrusters to their maximum, right before they begin their final battle. The Super Badnik pursues his rival in a heated race through the city that quickly got them clashing with one another all over town. The impact from their clashes emit powerful explosions that didn't harm either of them as they were fast enough to avoid them and cause another explosive clash right as they end up hurdling toward each other, butting heads at their top speed.

"You might know everything that I'm going to do, but that's not going to help you, since I know everything you're going to do. Strange, isn't it?" Sonic growls fiercely, struggling to overpower his rival in an intense clash that quickly leads to Metallix kicking him to the head of Eson. Metallix follows up with a devastating Boost that was swiftly avoided, ramming into the Celestial's head instead of Sonic as he's running around the giant's body, with his double on furious pursuit.

Eventually, Sonic lands a surprise diving kick on Metallix's back with enough explosive force to crater the ground, right as Eson is successfully blowing up the Quinjet before they could disable his arm. While those that were in the Quinjet fall to their doom, Sonic struggles to stop Metallix from Boosting him high to the sky. And while the falling Cap lands a shield throw that fully disables Eson's arm, Sonic kicks his clone up high before following up with a Homing Attack that smashes him into a weak spot on Eson's shoulder.

That weak spot seems to have been Eson's power source as he begins growling painfully. His six green eyes turn red as he struggles to maintain himself. He's left stunned, accidently exposing his central power core to his enemies. "Guys! I think Sonic just took out his power!" Knuckles noted.

"Okay, while we've got the chance, attack his core with EVERYTHING!" Cable ordered.

At last, the heroes unite for one last assault on the weakened Celestial's core. From bullets, to web shots, to shield throws, to thrown cars, to magic and cosmic attacks. Each hero unleash everything they could muster onto the core, damaging it to the point that only a gravity mine could defeat Eson once and for all.

"Hurry, webhead!" Cable tosses a gravity mine to Spider-Man. "Attach this gravity mine to the booster in its chest! There's no telling what might happen, but it's our last shot taking him down!"

"I'm on it!" Spidey retorts, quickly web-zipping into the chest of the Celestial and attaching the mine to a booster for the epic finish before backflipping out of him.

Finally, Cable activates his gravity mine, as everyone watches the core exploding while sucking everything in its vicinity. That unfortunately includes the heroes themselves, as each of them struggle to hold onto something to prevent themselves from being sucked into the Celestial's destruction.

"HOLD ON, AVENGERS! IT'S ALMOST OVER!" Captain America shouted while grasping onto a railing for safety.

Salem and Hawkeye were in a similar fix but their railings broke off from the intense force of the vacuum, causing them to be sucked toward the exploding core. "HAWKEYYYYE! SALEEEEM!" Spider-Man screams out their names, unable to do anything but watch them scream as they are pulled in.

But out of nowhere, the unthinkable happened. Moments before they were sucked completely into the core, Salem and Hawkeye were both caught, and saved, by a severely damaged Metallix. "You…!" Salem exclaims at the robot, just as shocked as the rest of her friends that she and Hawkeye were saved by the robot that had been trying to kill them up until now.

"Metallix! But why?" Sonic wondered.

"Your personality must've finally overtook his programming!" Tails responded with the definitive answer that the earlier hacking to his systems have changed Metallix, for the better it seems.

BGM-Sonic the Hedgehog OVA OST-Mixed Feelings

Metallix throws his rescuees to Hulk for better protection as he begins to malfunction again, which causes him to be knocked and sucked frighteningly near Eson's exploding core. "NO!" Sonic shouts in horror and shock.

And to the utter surprise of his friends, Sonic lets go of his safety net to go and save his metallic rival. "Don't do it, Sonic! What are you doing!? Stop! SONIIIIIC!" Summer screams at him to stop, terrified that he might be jumping to his death.

Sonic continues alone to save Metallix, as he is the only one that sees some good in him like himself, unlike the other Metal Sonics he fought in the past. He runs with everything he has left, backwards from the vacuum as it grows more powerful while desperately reaching out to the incapacitated Metallix stuck on some debris for another few moments, "Grab ahold of my hand!"

Metallix sees Sonic trying to rescue him and reaches out for his hand, while Spidey attaches a webline to Sonic's other hand and struggles to pull him away from the robot. "Wait! Don't do it, Sonic! He'll drag you with him!" Miguel shouted.

But despite Spidey trying to stop him, Sonic continues reaching out his hand to grab Metallix. Metallix and Sonic's hands were seconds away from meeting, but just when the former is about to take his rival's hand, he slaps it away, much to Sonic's surprise and confusion. With time running out, the dying robot has one last thing he wants to announce to his counterpart, and that thing is, "There is only one Sonic…" realizing that Sonic was the only one of them that could remain.

Accepting his fate, Metallix allows himself to be consumed by Eson's exploding core. "No! DON'T!" The horrified Sonic shouted.

"Don't do it, Sonic!" Miguel shouts while forcefully restraining his friend with his webs.

Sadly, Sonic was forced to accept his rival's fate as well, watching him explode along with Eson's core. With his core destroyed, the Celestial growls in immense pain while his entire cosmic body dematerializes out of this timeline and returns to its own. "METALLIIIIIIIIIIX!" Sonic cries out his name one final time, as the Battle of Nueva Vale draws to its conclusion.

Moments later, Kang's forces seem to be on the retreat now they have lost their big cosmic weapon. The Public Eye make their advances to finish off the remaining temporal foot soldiers, all which is overseen by the united heroes gathered atop a skyscraper. Sonic was the only one not caring about the progress of the battle as he is lost in thought, silently mourning the death of Metallix.

Summer crouches to the mourning hedgehog as she tries to cheer him up with a comforting smile. "Come on, don't look so sad, Sonic. It's not like you at all." She told him.

"She's right, you should be happy! Thanks to you, the planet was saved!" Tails smiles, also trying to cheer up his bro.

"Good, 'cause I was meaning to ask you, Sum." Spidey said, getting the huntress's curious attention. "Back at Carnival Island. Was it true you had an 'attraction' towards me?" He asks, recalling Summer's true feelings for his secret identity.

"Huh?" Summer said adorably, blushing while remembering that she did reveal her love for him during her pep talk at the island. She flusters out with an annoyed expression, "N-Not towards you, webhead! Don't get me wrong, you're a cool guy and all, but I'm a little more interested in snarky scientists that also do a good job getting on my nerves!" She snarks, indirectly confirming her feelings for Miguel, as he chuckles in response.

"What's stopping Ock from building a stronger Metallix?" Silver asks Tails.

Tails smiles, "Don't worry. I made sure to delete all of Sonic's data from her hard drive before we left her lab. I even downloaded a copy of all of Alchemax's illegal crimes that'll put them down for good." He holds the USB Drive containing Alchemax's data, much to both Silver and Spidey's pleasure as that might be the ticket in finally defeating the corrupt company.

"We may have won the battle, but not the war." Captain America stated.

"Right." Knuckles looks up at Damocles Base, which is still ominously hovering over the city. "Kang is still up there, hiding in his ship with the Master Emerald. As long as he has that and his time travel technology, NO timeline is safe from him."

"We won't let him escape this one! Let's fall back to formulate a new plan to breach his shields!" Cap suggested.

BGM-Super Dragon Ball Heroes OST-Despicable Conspiracy

But just as they are about to fall back to fight another day, Kang pulls out another trick from his sleeve from within his ship. His Solaris Master System is commanded to perform a strange task. One so ominously mysterious that it causes the System to emit a bright light that shines from the ship and slowly consumes everything in the city.

"Hey! What's this light coming from Kang's ship!? It's consuming the city!" The shocked Spidey noticed before the rest of his friends.

And if that wasn't confusing enough, a squadron of Kang's forces are teleported to their rooftop for an ambush attack. "Guess he wants us to stick around for the show!" Hulk snarls, then roars as he joins his friends battling Kang's soldiers.

It was made quickly obvious that Kang sent those soldiers to distract the heroes, keeping them at bay while his light continues to take in all of Nueva Vale. Color and life are being sucked out of the city and its inhabitants, kinda like what a certain Time Eater did before, before those portions of the city are completely consumed by the light.

Cap fights off a few soldiers on her with a Charging Star before being forced to block a pressuring attack from a Scarab Fighter. She glances at the city that is close to being fully consumed and mutters, "Tch. At this rate, we'll all lose." She then turns her head to face Spider-Man while he's fending off his own Kang Minions, "Spider-Man! You and your new allies must retreat! Take care of Kang! Leave things here to the rest of us! That's an order!"

"Cap…!" Miguel retorts in shock of her order.

"She's right! They'll be fine! WE GOTTA GO!" Cable urges him to escape with his team.

BGM-Super Dragon Ball Heroes OST-Creepy Space Tree

The light nears their rooftop as Spidey makes his final choice. He doesn't want to abandon his friends and city not long after his confidence was restored, but knows that stopping Kang is top priority. This is war that he has gotten himself into, and war requires a man to make the tough choices that secure victory for their side.

"Jammit!" Spidey curses, only to then stoically nod at Cap as he reluctantly follows her orders. He joins up with the Chrono Avengers, Team Classic, Summer, and Elsa as Cable uses his portable time machine to teleport the assembled group out of this doomed timeline.

Having faith that their new friends will defeat Kang, the Avengers, Defenders, and the X-Man Cerebra make their final stand against Kang's forces as the light consumes them. Along with them are other prominent characters that shown up in this adventure such as Hope Kintobor, Peni Polendina, Doctor Patel, and lastly a smiling Tyler Stone, as everyone and everything in Nueva Vale and across the United States has the eerie light shines over them all before being consumed by it. All to the amusement of Kang, as the Conqueror can be heard laughing maniacally over his successful conquest of 2099.

KFX Here: Looks like 2099 has been hit with a bad future. Not the ending you were expecting, huh. Well I gotta show off that Kang is a legitimate threat and beating him won't be easy. This story serves as a prelude to the BIG finale of this Time War Saga. The main heroes of this story (Team Classic, Spidey 2099, Summer Rose, Elsa Schnee, Chrono Avengers) will return in The Solaris Dynasty. Look forward to that, and the epilogue of this storyline, pretty soon. Take care.
