She had arrived in Chicago, the day before by train, telling William she was attending a conference. But, she was actually seeing a fertility specialist to see if he can help get her pregnant.

As she waited in the waiting room, she had the urge to leave, as she felt so guilty of lying to William, when she heard her name called, "Mrs. Murdoch"

Julia at first didn't get up, but then remembered she used her married name, and got up, "that's me" as she followed the nurse to the doctor's office and sat down in a chair, "the doctor will be with you, shortly" the nurse said and left

"Thank you" Julia said as she looked at all around his office, and saw all his diplomas, when she heard the door open, "Mrs. Murdoch"

"Please, call me, Julia Ogden, Dr. Thames"

"Oh, your Isaac's friend"

"Yes, he recommended you to help me, doctor"

He sat down and looked at her file, "well, let see, your 37, and you and your husband, have been trying for a baby, since you got married?"

"We have, but can I be honest with you"

The doctor put down the file, "go on"

"I don't know if Isaac told you the whole story of me"

"He said you're sterile, from a condition"

"Yes, in university, I got pregnant and…uh, this next part only my husband, sister and Isaac know"

"Go on"

"I had an abortion. But the man that did the procedure nearly killed me, and if it wasn't for Isaac, I wouldn't be alive. But when I began courting, my husband, I asked Isaac if I could bear children and he said I can't. But a year ago, someone from my past shot me and nearly killed me. But because of the emergency surgery, Isaac said it may have fixed my uterus…"

"And you want to see if that's true?"

Julia nodded

"Ok, well I am going to ask some questions, but they may be uncomfortable to answer"

"It's ok, doctor, go on?"

"Ok, how often do you ad your husband have relations?"

"Well, were a detective and doctor, and our jobs keep us busy, but we have relations sometimes 3-4 times a day."

The doctor's jaw dropped, "my goodness, you must really love each other?"

"Yes, we truly do"

"And when you are having relations…do you have orgasms?"

Julia smiled, "yes, even if its quick, I always do"

"Have you ever checked your husband's sperm count?"

"Yes we have and his sperm count is excellent"

The doctor nodded, "ok, that's all my question. I am just going to examine you. I am going to get the nurse to help set you up and I'll be back"

Julia nodded and waited for the nurse to come in, "Mrs. Murdoch, here's a gown for you, and you can get changed behind the curtain" she said and pointed to a curtain

"Thank you" Julia said and went behind the curtain and began undressing herself and put the gown on, "I don't pray, but please God, let this doctor help me give William a child" she said to herself

"Mrs. Murdoch, are you ready?" the nursed asked

"Yes" as she came out from behind the curtain and laid down on the bed as the doctor came back in.

"Ok, Mrs. Murdoch, are you ready?"

Julia nodded and closed her eyes and imagined her life with William and the child they will have. She knew William wouldn't care if they had a boy or girl, but she knew he would love a son. A boy with his brown eyes and hair, and most likely her stubbornness. Which made her giggle, when the doctor said, "were done, Mrs. Murdoch"

"And, what are the results? Can you help me?"

"I'll be back, just redress"

Julia nodded, got off the bed and redressed, and waited for the doctor again. It felt like a lifetime, had gone by, but it was only 20 minutes, when he came back, "Mrs. Murdoch….uh…"

"Please, don't sugar coat it. Can you help me?"

He shook his head, "no, because of your age, but I don't see why you can't conceive"

Julia looked at him, "what…I can conceive?"

"Yes, just keep trying and you should be pregnant in no time. But that's all I can do for you, sorry"

"No, its better than nothing. Thank you" she said with a smile on her face and left the doctor's office, and headed back to her hotel room. As she got to her hotel, the concierge waved to her,

"Dr. Ogden, thank goodness your back."

"Is there something wrong?"

"Yes, an inspector Brackenreid, has called here 5 times, asking for you. It's about your husband"

"Oh, no." she thought to herself, as she knew he was working on a case before she left for Chicago, "I'll return the calls in my room"

She ran upstairs to her room, picked up the receiver, "Station House #4, Toronto, Ontario, Canada, please"

"Hello"

"Inspector, just got your messages. Is William alright?"

"No, he's wanted for murder and on the run"

"I'll be on the next train" she said and hung up the phone and began packing, "William what have you got yourself into?" she thought to herself.

Within an hour, she was on the train and saw a man holding a paper, and saw William's face, "excuse me, sir"

"Ma'am"

"May I just see your paper for a second?"

"Of course," as he handed it to her and she read, "the famous Detective William Murdoch, of Station House #4, is wanted for the murder of burlesque's dancer, Lydia Hall. Miss Hall, was found in the Murdoch's marriage bed, with her throat slit. If you see Detective Murdoch, contact Station House #4, immediately."

"What? In our bed? William is definitely in trouble. I'm coming home to help you, William" She said to herself as she looked outside through the window.
