After unleashing the 8th inner gate, the gate of death, Might Guy rocketed towards Madara like an arrow head, shattering the Uchiha's ribcage with a powerful dynamic kick. The strike was so intense that the two kept hurdling forwards, each second questioning wether the Jonin's foot would burst through Madara's torso. In a blaze of red chakra they smashed into the divine tree, quickly slicing up the trunks bark, headed towards the night sky.

"BWHAHAHA! GOOD... GOOD!!! KEEP DANCING!!"

Madara howled over the shingling bark and squeals of Guy's chakra as they peeled up the trunk. Provoked to take up the challenge, Guy let out a mighty roar.

"RYOOOAHHHHH!!!!"

And his chakra exploaded at the back end, super boosting the attack with a jet engine of molten red and white. From the ground, Lee watched as his master's attack took on the appearance of a massive red dragon head, breaking off from the tree with a flare of it's teeth, before dissipating into the night sky. It was hard to make out, but both Guy and Madara's bodies could then be seen plummeting towards the ground. Lee took a step forwards, but was blocked by Kakashi's hand.

"It was a gentleman's duel, Lee. But Madara's no gentleman. If he's still alive, we'd be an easy target. Trust in your master's attack, that he finished the job. After all... that miracle we just witnessed was his entire soul that he put on the line."

Lee looked up to Kakashi with anxiety, and then back to the two plummeting bodies.

Come on, master... Please... All of that training, all of that sweat... It could not have been for nothing..!

About 20 feet before the men impacted with the ground, Lee forced himself to watch, and with all of the conviction he said:

"Thank you."

Dust plumed up in a finite mushroom cloud, wind whipped through the landscape, and a loud crash of strong bodies smashing into rock shouted across the battlefield. Lee fell to his knees, overwhelmed with sadness and pride. He felt Minato's hand on his shoulder, but didn't look up to meet the Hokage's eyes.

"What a Guy. I don't think there's ever been a ninja who's had as strong a will as your master, Lee."

Tears started to stream down Lee's cheeks, and Minato smiled softly.

"I'm glad I got to witness such a man."

He said before teleporting onto an elevated rock near the impact site. Kakashi walked up to Lee in Minato's stead.

"The fourth is going up ahead to scout things out. We're going to sit tight. When the coast is clear, we'll go recover him."

Lee nodded with a big wipe of his steady tears. They waited for the fourth to come back. One minute quickly turned into a dozen. The wind howled through the open, plains like stretch of battlefield. Still, no sign of the fourth. Lee was growing angrier with Madara by the second, growing more impatient with the war, the death of his rival, all of the casualties he'd had to witness. Kakashi kept a level head, calming Lee whenever he felt necessary. Suddenly, like a trumpet in a library, two fully Kurama cloaked Minato clones appeared in front of them.

"Don't think, fight! I need your assistance. Formation C, all out attack from 3 angles!!"

Both Lee and Kakashi blinked into their ninja senses. Pressing his fists together, a symphony of crackling chirps accompanied with electrical blue, frantic mits of lightning, appeared around Kakashi's hands. He slowly began to pull them apart, dividing the massive power into two separate fizzling hand-weapons.

"TWIN LIGHTNING-"

With a wave of his hands the cloth wrapped around Lee's arms unraveled themselves. He crouched down and pressed a hand to the ground, getting in a runners stance as his skin began to darken and his hair began to stand.

"THE FITH GATE-"

The Kurama clones pressed their hands to the ninja, and within a blink of an eye and a quick yellow flash, Lee was in mid air, 5 feet away from a conscious, and standing, Madara Uchiha.

"What!!!"

Lee scowled, the emotion interrupting his transformation. He flipped himself around in the air, using the momentum to launch a swift roundhouse kick towards Madara's face. To his horror, as if in slow motion, Madara looked up at him out of the corner of his eye. He had a smirk on his face.

"There you are."

Madara said while quickly slapping down the roundhouse with one hand, and grabbing Lee out of the air, by his neck, with the other. Lee growled kicking his feet, trying to pry open Madara's hand with both of his.

"GRYAH! Why are you... here...!!!"

Lee shouted and looked over Madara's shoulder. There was a big pile of rock with faint flickers of electric blue that tried to pierce through the cracks, and sealing jutsu marks layered across it.

Did he... seal Kakashi? But we had just touched down! So this is the agility that could keep up with Master's level of fitness.

"Oh ho... And now to the right, curious student."

Madara laughed, jerking Lee's neck in the opposite direction, forcing him to look over his other shoulder. What he found... was devastating. Might Guy was slouched against the divine tree. His shoulders were impailed by thick rods, pinning him to the trunk. His skin was flaking, charred, and his muscles throbbed with vigorous exercise. His eyes were open, pale, and completely blank. But despite that, Guy's fists were clenched, and he still had a ghostly grin on his face while hanging there. Madara laughed to himself again while admiring the sight with Lee.

"Yes, he had the time of his life with me. But look at those poor legs."

Guy's legs were lifeless. His body shook with passion, and pain, but only from the waist up.

"I'm going to keep him alive like that. The paragon of youth, paralyzed. Wouldn't that be a perfect present for your little Fox beast."

Madara looked back to Lee with an interested glint in his eye. He cocked an eyebrow, as Lee was about to explode with the fury of youth that could only be realized at his impressionable age.

"That is, curious student, unless you can show me a better dance."
