It was time for another time patrol mission. Charri had mastered her new Super Saiyan state, and she was on the cusp of Super Saiyan 2. She'd trained herself to be as strong as her great grandfather was in his mastered Super Saiyan, so her own Super Saiyan should be enough to help her great uncle against Cell if needed.

She entered the Time Vault and saw the Kaioshin of Time, the old Kaioshin and Trunks staring at a scroll. She walked over and saw their concern; during Piccolo's battle with #17, Cell managed to get the drop on them and absorb both #17 and #18. This was an hour before Vegeta and Trunks left the Room of Spirit and Time, meaning that there was nobody even close to Cell's power at this point, and nobody to motivate him to creating the Cell Games.

The Old Man suggested that Trunks enter the timeline and show off his power, to show off the fruits of their accelerated training. Trunks was far stronger than he was back then, so just a little show of strength would be more than enough get Cell curious.

"But…that wouldn't fix the timeline," Charri added.

"What?" Trunks asked. "What do you mean?"

"She's right," the Kaioshin of Time said, holding her chin in her hand as she went through the steps. "In this scroll, Krillin and #18 never had their moment over the remote. They'll never fall in love and get married, which will create problems down the line." She looked up at Charri and continued. "You'll have to enter the timeline and slow Cell down."

Charri nodded and rolled up the scroll and concentrated on it. She entered the timeline just as Piccolo's battle with #17 began. But at this point in time, Charri far outclassed #17, so she had to hold back as she assisted Piccolo.

Unfortunately, #17 got Towa's dark power up, so Charri was forced to go all out to help Piccolo hold him off. But this created a problem, since #17 had unlimited stamina thanks to his nature as a Red Ribbon Infinite Engine Cyborg. Charri was forced to go Super Saiyan to hold him off. She had to wear him down quickly.

But thanks to their combined might, Charri and Piccolo managed to burn off Towa's dark magic just in time for Cell to show up. Both Charri and Piccolo were breathing heavy, though, and like 17 before him, Cell got a Towa power up.

Like in the proper timeline, Piccolo had been eliminated from the fight, but #16 entered the fray to pick up the slack. But unlike in the proper timeline, #18 entered the fight. All four of them battled Cell, Charri and #16 doing the most damage.

After a particular vicious flurry of blows, Charri blasted Cell down with a Shin Kikoho, sending him into the water. This granted Cell the cover he needed to sneak up behind #17 and absorb him. History was back on track, and Charri watched as Cell transformed into his Semi Perfect state, though thankfully, Towa's power boost disappeared. This gave her what she needed to return to the Time Nest, a job well done.

"How are things with Towa? Are you getting close?" The Old Man said into a communication orb.

"Her minions are keeping me distracted," Peparia said through the orb. "It seems she has more powerful tools than Slug and Turles. I'll update you when I can."

"Bad news?" Charri asked.

"Unfortunately," the Kaioshin of Time said. "Peparia's been chasing her since you were promoted. She hasn't been able to make any headway."

"Well, she IS primarily a warrior," Trunks said. "Yeah, she's a teacher too, but when it comes to investigations, she's always been in the one we sent in to take care of the problem."

"I think her lack of experience with the timeline past age 550 really slows her down," Milele said, walking up to them from the entrance. "She doesn't know when things are anomalies and when things aren't."

"I'm sure she'll be fine," Charri said, still believing in her idol. "I mean, all you need to do is keep her posted about what I'm doing to lead her in the right direction, right?"

"There's more to it than that," the Kaioshin of Time said. "But yes, we're keeping everyone in the loop. But for now, get some rest. We don't know how soon Towa will act again."
