" 2 weeks. 2 weeks cece. i haven't gotten my period in 2 weeks!" jess screamed into her phone while pacing in the bathroom. "calm down jess, i'm sure your just overreact-"

" i don't know how i didn't notice this sooner. i cant have a baby. " jess interrupted. after a few moments of silence, cece finally chimed in " how about this jess, i come over after i finish at the bar and bring a test over ?"

jess's eyes widened she had completely zoned out from what cece was saying. she couldn't be a mother. not yet anyways, nick can't be a dad. he can barley take care of himself. then she froze. "nick."

" jess? jess! hello earth to jess" cece announced trying to get her attention.

jess without hesitation or thinking quickly replied to cece. " yeah. sounds great see you then." trying to sound as enthusiastic as she can. while hanging up.

jess slid down the wall she was closest to and sat on her butt, with her knees crossed and her hands on her stomach... sitting in silence trying to picture nick with a baby. the image terrified her.

" jess " a familiar voice called from outside the bathroom.

nick.

jess jumped.

" jess i have to take a shower." he knew i was her.. no one else in the house locked the bathroom door while in it.

she got up slowly and went to the door trying to make her steps as quite as she could. "jess isn't here right now... come back.. later.?" she cringed.

nick laughed slightly with a little annoyance " come on. open the door i have to be there early my boss is on my ass."

she signed and opened it slowly. she was greeted with his smile which instantly made her feel comforted. " you alright?" he asked concerned while his smile dropped. after a moment of silence and concerning looks from nick, she finally spoke " oh uh yeah. i'm fine just uh- lady stuff?"

due to her unsure answer nick tilted his head. he didn't know if he should ask if that's really what's going on- or if he didn't want to get involved.

" oh. ok.? " he laughed slightly while cupping her cheek with his hand and leaning closer. he looked at her with so much love. jess felt relieved. she knew that even if she was pregnant.. they'd be ok.

she smiled at him as she closed the space between them with a soft kiss. he moved his hand from her cheek to the back of her neck. his touch sent chills down her back.

nick hesitated but pulled away. " as much as i love kissing you, i really do have to shower." he kissed her cheek. walking towards the shower. he sighed " i'll see you later." she smiled " bye!." they both smiled at each other before jess closed the door behind her.

moments later while walking to her room she was greeted with Winston. he looked her up and down. with squinted eyes." your pregnant aren't you?" her eyes widened while she slapped her hand over his mouth and pulled him into her room.
