" Do you have any other witnesses besides your husband?"

" Yeah, Eli Rosvelette. He was there when Gemma had her hands around my neck. He had to literally pull Gemma off me, Jax ran in a few seconds later." Tara answered with a very heavy sigh as she set two cups of coffee on her kitchen table. One for her and her lawyer. The trial for Gemma's case is less than a week away and Tara's lawyer came over this morning to help her get ready for it.

Tara's lawyer just nods her head as she kept looking through the files that Tara gave her." I will call Rosvelette and set up a meeting with him when I get back to Charming later today. Has Gemma tried to contact you again?" She asked as she took a drink of the coffee Tara offered her.

Tara shook her head as she set her cup down." Not since the last time I talked to you." It's been about two weeks since Gemma had many any contact, so maybe Chibs talked some sense into her. But then again it's Gemma and Gemma never listens to anyone not even her damn self.

" Well, if she does try to call you again. Hang up and call me right away. I gotta meeting with her lawyer in a few days and I will let her know what Gemma has been doing. Do you think Rosen will be able to get Jax to come to court?"

" The last time I talked to Jax which just last week, he mentioned that he asked Rosen if he could be there for the trial, and he said that Rosen could get him there. I am also supposed to go see him again this Saturday, so I will ask him again." Tara answered as she took another drink of her coffee.

" Good. I think that's it for now. Got any questions?"

" Yeah, what happens if the Judge finds Gemma guilty?" Tara asked.

" Well, if the Judge finds her guilty. There's a possibility that Gemma could spend twenty to life behind bars for attempting murder and probably without bail." Rodriguez Tara's lawyer answered.

" And what happens if the Judge doesn't find her guilty?" Tara asked as she sighs deeply.

" As long as you tell the Judge the truth about what really happened between you and your mother in law and as long as Your husband and Rosvelette are there to back up your story, there's no the Judge is going to let Gemma go free." Rodriguez answered as she reached over and gently patted Tara's hand.

" You don't know Gemma Teller as well I do. She will do anything to twist everything up and act like she did nothing wrong, She's going to stand in front of that Judge and manipulate her way out of prison and keep her freedom, which means she's going to keep trying to find me and my boys, and I honestly can't let that happen. After everything I did to pull my boys out of Charming and out of that life, I refuse to let Gemma take that away from me. Gemma Teller doesn't get to win not this time." Tara will do whatever she has to do to protect her boys and if making sure Gemma stays in prison for a long time is the only way to keep her family safe, then that's exactly what Tara is going to do.

" I'm getting the copy of the police report from Rosvelette today and that should be enough evidence against Gemma and prove that Gemma is danger to you and your boys." Rodriguez said as she put her files back into her brief case." I gotta get back to my office and call Rosvelette before I go see him. Trust me Tara, you got nothing to worry about."

" Thanks Maria." Tara said as she got up from the kitchen table and grabbed both of the empty coffee cups off of the table." I mean it, thank you for everything you're doing for me. I honestly don't know how I could have gone through this whole month without your help." Ever since Tara hired Rodriguez as her new lawyer all because Lowen went behind her back and told Jax everything, which Tara should have done herself, Rodriguez has been with Tara every step of the way helping her with this trial against Gemma.

" Tara I'm not just your lawyer, I am also your friend and as your friend I will do anything to help you and as your lawyer, I advice you not to speak about the trial with the club, Jax is fine. But the club can't know about it. I know they are looking out for you and I am glad they are, but the less people know about the trial the better. We can't take any chances of Gemma winning she still can get to them and persuade them to her side."

" That's true, she could. Yeah I will keep the club out of it and I will make sure Jax will do the same as well." Tara really hates keeping this from the club especially from Chibs since they have been watching out for her like Jax asked them to and as much as Tara does appreciate it. Tara does agree the less everyone knows the better.

" Good, I gotta go. I will call you in a few days for an update." Rodriguez said as she grabbed her stuff and walked out of the kitchen and out of Tara's apartment.

Tara set the cups down into the sink as she leans back against the sink for a moment and ran both hands down her face. Tara just wants this trial to be done and over with, so she can put this whole thing behind her and move on with her life. Tara's thoughts was broken when she heard Thomas and Abel calling for her. She couldn't help but smile at the sound of her boys voices, especially Thomas's since he just recently started talking.

" I am coming." Tara called back as she walked out of the kitchen and into the boys room down the hall.

About thirty minutes later after Maria grabbed lunch from the Charming diner, she walked back into her office. Closing her office door for complete privacy, Maria set her lunch down on her desk as soon as she sat down in her desk chair. Pulling out her cell as she called Eli Rosvelette.

" Hello, this is LT Rosvelette, how can I help you?" Eli Rosvelette asked as soon as he answered the call.

" Hi, LT Rosvelette this is Maria Rodriguez, Tara's lawyer. Remember we met a month ago?"

" Yeah, I remember. Is this call about the trial coming up?" Rosvelette asked.

" Yeah, is there a place where we can meet up and discuss this face to face in like in an hour?" Rodriguez asked.

" Yeah, you think you can come by my office?" He suggested.

" I be at your office in an hour, thanks for your time LT." Maria answered as she hung up. Once she set her cell down on her desk, She unwrapped her sandwich and started to eat it. In the middle of her lunch, Maria heard a knock at her door.

" Yeah?" Maria asked with a heavy sighs as she just wanted to enjoy her lunch in peace before she had to meet up with Rosvelette in an hour. She looked up when she watched her office door open and the front desk clerk poked her head in.

" Sorry to disturb you while you eat, but Gemma Teller's lawyer is here already."

" Shit, She's here now?"

" Yeah, do you want me to tell her to reschedule?"

Maria just sighs as she shook her head." No send her in. Might as well get this little meeting over with before I go to my next one." Maria wanted to meet up with Lowen in a few days, but since she's here now. She might as well have this little meeting with Lowen and see what Lowen has to say.
