Swimming. That's how everything started. It was a beautiful afternoon? Morning? And the Avengers along with their allies, The Guardians of the Galaxy had decided to take a break, by taking a dive. Everything about this fine day had seemed normal. Little did they know that the reality stone had a different plan in mind. Enjoying themselves none of them noticed a haze starting to surround different objects, those objects being them. One by one they began to change. Now it wasn't just simple changes like a different outfit, or hair length. No it was their entire gender. Everyone had switched from their original, to the opposite. However, the reality stone had special plans for Rocket. Not only had rocket become a female, he'd also become a human.
Earlier in the morning Carol had decided that the team needed a break. Seeing as she and The Guardians of the Galaxy were currently visiting the Avengers, now seemed like the perfect opportunity. The weather was decent and the day was calm with no world threatening issues to deal with.
"F.R.I.D.A.Y., please inform the team, as well as the Guardians that I would like everyone to meet in the living room as soon as possible." Steve asked.
"Done Sir."
Each of the members made their way at their own pace, but who could blame them. It was mid July, the weather was warmer, even with the AC turned on, you could still feel the heat. As the final few members clambered into the room. Rocket made his way up to the front of the room.
"Thank you all for coming, despite the uncomfortable heat we are all experiencing. However, I think we've come up with a solution for that. Seeing as we could all use a break from both work and the heat, we propose we take a dive and cool off." MJ speaks, gesturing towards Steve, Rocket and Carol.
"Y'know that's not a half bad idea. I kinda wish I would have been the one to come up with it. Nonetheless I'm in." Quill said
A collection of agreements flooded the room with each member deciding they were through with the heat.
"Alrighty then. Lets go pack and get this thing started!" Rocket announced already making their way to the elevator.
The team dispersed each getting ready to get some much needed time off. When they regrouped they headed towards the elevator, down to the garage. Everyone piled into several vehicles, seeing as there was no way possible for them all to fit into one.
Once they arrived they began spreading out their belongings around the edge of the pool on the deck. The girls had taken one side for their things while the guys placed theirs wherever they wanted.
As everyone began entering the pool, some shuddered at the difference in temperature, others sinking in and enjoying the sweet relief from the heat. Some of them, namely Thor, Loki, Steve, and Gamora all began splashing and playing around in the center of the pool.
Some of those watching them acting like children laughed and debated joining in, while others just shook their heads and ignored.
Carol had just been swimming along the edge of the pool when she noticed what looked to be a red jewel lying at the bottom of the pool. She decided to dive down and pick it up, bringing it with her to the surface. Halfway towards the surface the jewel began to glow, she just assumed it was the light from the sun bouncing off of it. The glow however, had caught the attention of everyone else in the pool. When she resurfaced they all stared wide eyed at her, or more correctly him.
"Hey! Who are you and why are you here?" Rocket yelled, not realizing who Carol was.
"What are you talking about Rocket, it's me, Carol." He paused hearing his voice for the first time. He looked down to see that his body was no longer female but male. "What the hell happened!?" He then looked to the hand that held the jewel. Not thinking he threw it back into the water, even though it was still glowing.
As the jewel sank deeper into the pool the other members began changing genders as well. Some pointed to others with looks of shock while others just stared at Carol trying to figure out what was going on.
Slowly everyone had changed genders. Everyone was slowly just accepting it for the moment praying Tony, Bruce or really anyone could figure out what was going on and how to fix it. However, everyone wasn't there. "Hey guys, what happened to Rocket?" Gamora asked.
"What do you mean what happened to me? I'm right here you knucklehead! Honestly I knew you could be stupid but I didn't think you were blind as well!" Rocket chuckled, with a now feminine voice.
"Umm, I'm not sure how to tell you this, but umm you're not a raccoon any more, you're a human Mr. Rocket sir." Peter Parker, spoke up.
Rocket looked at her hands, now covered in Beige skin, "What in the fuck happened?!"
