"hey Beverly, I need to know something, I have set up a visit with the Yoko's, are you Olivia Yoko" asks Caitlyn carefully
"yes that's me, I assume you knew when I arrived from that program, my hair is quite distinctive, no it isn't dyed" says Olivia
"no I had no idea, I was of the assumption you'd gone missing from Vermont not D.C, why had you run, you don't seem to be the type to just run for no reason" asks Caitlyn
"I'm bi, my protector Blake while kind and generally understanding, I was afraid he'd out me to everyone, the general rule was no secrets, if I wanted to tell him something confidentially he'd have been duty bound to tell my parents, I didn't want to be a scandal for my dad, he loved his job, I know it can go bad if the public knew, I read the news, I know Tori coming out set her dad back a bit and damaged her chances, I miss Veronica" says Olivia
"Mitchie is just confirming that she's in the cab, they should be here soon" says Caitlyn as Mitchie walks over
"Veronica is in the cab, she took a sleeping pill on the train, apparently she doesn't travel well" says Mitchie
"that's because our private school education taught us girls to not fight back or report abuse, that the headmaster didn't want to "inflate" abuse claims, she's had boys stick their tongue in her mouth while she sleeps, spit on her underwear by lifting up her skirt and even one time found a rip in her leotards, she's a deep sleeper" says Olivia
"had they ever done that stuff to you" asks Cat
"no I absolutely fear travelling, I stay up so I know if the specific type of travel I chose crashes, the worst they know they can get away with me is poking me, my dad being a senator at the time and he had hella pull at that school, had he known there was rampant abuse there he'd have demanded the headmaster resign and installed someone himself who would reverse the no reporting rule" says Olivia
"did Veronica reject your love" asks Jade
"yes, but only because she'd thought I was doing it for the wrong reasons, she may not be the smartest person but she's no dummy either, I love her, and yes I wanted my dad to force the headmaster to investigate the abuse because what they were doing to Roni bordered on sexual abuse but I asked her out because I love her, I wanted to run away with her, I wanted us to be together and not hate each other for what we went through, that's the last time I saw her, I'd been enrolled in online school for a month at that point, I went with dad to work and Blake took me out for ice-cream, the moment I had a chance to run I ran, I couldn't trust anyone but myself" says Olivia as Veronica, Joe and Danielle walk through the door
"as loyal as ever I see" says Veronica
"Do you love me, I won't ask again" cries Olivia
"yes of course I do Liv, it was never my plan to hurt you, Blake, yes that Blake, he's my big brother, I was adopted when he came out as gay, they disowned him, I wanted so bad to believe they actually cared about me, I thought being gay was a mistake and I just needed time to fix it, but when you disappeared I couldn't make myself not cry, then I came out as gay and your parents took me in, I spent most of my time crying on your bed" says Veronica as Olivia hugs her
"you were right olive, that school was bad, I didn't want to believe you but seeing all the ripped clothes Veronica brought made it very clear, the headmaster lost his job and I now have a say in everything, we have made sure that all cases of abuse will be heard by the courts, I have to ask, did they do anything to you" says Joe
"no, they poked me that's it, they didn't want you involved, they figured me knowing they were getting ready to rape Veronica the moment they had a chance was enough to silence me knowing full well I'd be the joke at the school if I called you" says Olivia
"well thanks to your dad they are in jail, I love your dress liv" says Veronica
"thanks, why is Blake here" asks Olivia
"because I'm buying a house just down the street for you two, you will have full access to the family account, both of you, I'm also supercharging the community revival town group thing that allowed you to make money, I'm putting a million dollars into it, I'm also buying a house downtown for the homeless communities here so they have a place to stay out of the cold, heat or rain, it has a capacity of twenty-five and I am paying the town to keep it fully stocked with food and hygiene supplies thanks to Caitlyn and Mitchie for the idea" says Joe
"you always had good ideas dad" says Olivia
"thanks, it's part of my new campaign to get back into the senate, re-home the homeless is the name of the campaign, my plan is to seed cities and towns with money to build or repurpose homes so the homeless have a place to go" says Joe
"dad why now" asks Olivia
"because I learned a lot while I spent nearly four years searching for you, I've spoken to the homeless, I've spoken to mayors, I've spoken to state officials here in this part of America, they know it's a problem all over the country and they're willing to work with me and put their money where their mouth is and seriously try and fix this homelessness problem, they realize it's not always the homeless people's fault for being homeless, more often than not its because people don't take time to understand someone to realize they're more than they appear to be, ironically I've been basically everywhere but this area, I'd figured since they have a plan in place to bring the homeless to a point where they can pay for stuff that If they'd encountered you they'd have told someone" says Joe
"only my homeless friends knew me as Olivia, I didn't want press attention I knew the press would spin me as degenerate and a disgrace, it would make you look bad, though this is the first town I've been in that didn't automatically try and throw me in jail for some imaginary drug possession charge" says Olivia
"you were on edibles for your Bipolar disorder Olivia, not many people have your distinctive hair" says Danielle
"but that's not even why they tried to put me in jail mom, they planted the hard stuff on me, you know I'd never do that stuff, I was against people doing that stuff, I picked up some female friends on my travels who used to do hard drug, I showed them what life could be like without it" says Olivia
"maybe they were trying to set you up sweetie" asks Danielle
"mom I understand where you got that idea but if it was them who were setting me up then it would still be happening and not have stopped when we got out of the big cities, you don't understand them mom, all five of them came from deep red states where party was the only thing that mattered, where if they were raped they'd have to carry the baby to term, they are actually very shy, when the cops would try and arrest me they were very defensive of me, one time they almost killed one when a cop accidentally groped me getting me into the cop car, trust me they have a bad time with cops" says Olivia
"ok, thanks for clearing that up, they can stay in your new house with you guys on the condition no drugs but pot are used, it has medicinal properties and I expect you to be back on it Olive" says Joe
"they were actually headed to Canada, ptsd isn't cheap for therapy or meds dad" says Olivia
"I worked with the new York state senate to create a homeless disabilities fund, the bill just passed, they don't have to worry about therapy or medical costs" says Joe
"but if they live in the house you bought me and Veronica then are they homeless" asks Olivia
"in this case the term homeless refers to anyone who has lived on the streets for the past decade and doesn't have sufficient income for therapy, hospital stays or medications, and only a limited amount of meds are allowed to be kept as extras every month, anyone found hoarding or selling their meds is cut off" says Joe
"that sounds fair, how big is this house exactly dad" asks Olivia
"small but it has a pool, you and Veronica get the master bedroom and your mom and I will be visiting twice a month, utilities and internet are paid for so the only thing you need to worry about is food" says Joe
"but dad if we have a home then i don't qualify for that job thing" says Olivia
"you forget about your art have you, I was skeptical that we were going to actually meet you till I saw the painted hearts" says Joe
"you know the cops assumed correctly that it was a calling card, though they wrongly assume it is a girl being trafficked, the police won't take them down for that reason" says Olivia
"how do you know what they assume" asks Danielle
"because one of my friends had a father on the force, he died and she ran away with his purchased equipment, it was willed to her so they can't take it from her, it's open to all frequencies so I can hear everything, the police here found out about her dad and christened her the police/homeless liaison so she gets paid to go around to the homeless communities and reports on the condition, they have made a concerted effort to feed the homeless, so if one community is struggling with food she makes the report and they get food, honestly she loves it, she feels appreciated, that for the first time in the six years she's been homeless the people with guns and cuffs aren't trying to make villains of us" says Olivia as she blushes
"you seem happy now" says Veronica
"my family is back and I have the girl of my dreams how could I not be happy" says Olivia giving Veronica a big hug
"aww you do love me so much, I'm sorry for being afraid of you when you asked me out" cries Veronica
"you are so much like your mother Veronica" says Trisha Vega
"no I'm not" exclaims Veronica
"she didn't mean your adoptive mother, she meant your bio mom" says Maria
"y-you know who she was….. is she dead" asks Veronica
"yes, you are my little sister, you are a Lauren, I was kidnapped and my mom didn't think she'd ever see me again so she planned to have another kid, the problem was you were born roughly a year after I was returned to mom and dad, she was already pregnant, she was also diagnosed with cancer and I was diagnosed with ptsd and tremors syndrome so she couldn't afford to raise another little girl, much to my protest she gave you away" says Maria
"had you been looking for me" asks Veronica
"very much so, auntie Trisha would be so proud of you" says Maria
"i know I am, you are a welcome member of the family Veronica, if you so choose you will get a family back account where you will have a certain amount of money to spend on Olivia every month, it can be her favorite food or a present, it doesn't matter what you get her, the limit would be a thousand dollars" says Tori
"but I didn't earn the money" questions Veronica as Joe winks understanding what is going on
"Veronica this is above and beyond any money you make, there is plenty of work that needs to be done and not nearly enough people to do it, I'm about to be going back to work, Trina is pregnant, Jenna is doing science stuff and Tori is busy with her music, I'm willing to pay" says Trisha
"I still don't see why you can't get your family to do it" asks Veronica
"Veronica you ARE part of her family, your sister Maria is Trisha's niece which also makes you her niece as well" says Joe
"I can't accept that money, it's not right" says Veronica
"Veronica your adoptive parents cancelled your debit card, you have no money, you aren't old enough for a normal job yet, part of being in a relationship means you occasionally buy the one you love something, we don't do harsh chemicals here, Jenna makes all-natural cleaners" says Jade
"ok, I guess I can work with that" says Veronica
