Mira Hall was someone who had achieved everything in life. She had proven herself among the very best who ever attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and then went even further than that.
She had, with her Transfiguration professor's help, found a way to become the ultimate Animagus. Mira was the first to ever select their transformed beast, select a magical beast, and select multiple of them. There was a side effect with it, though. Each time she gained a new Animagus form, she had to give up a part of herself and become permanently part of that creature.
As a result of that she looked most out of the ordinary; she had a two-headed snake sprouting from her shoulder, had long rainbow feathers stuck in her long white hair, had jagged fangs for teeth, had draconic legs, white fox ears, branch-like horns, along with many less noticeable changes, most prominent of those being her absurd strength for her slim build.
Her magical feats weren't nothing to scoff at either. She had created many new spells and curses when she was young, and when she got older she rediscovered an ancient form of magic long since forgotten.
She had made many powerful allies, including Dracula, Gellert Grindelwald, Koschei the Deathless, even Morgana Le Fay and Baba Yaga.
But as she was to find out, all good things must come to an end. Mira and her Vanguard for the new world order were defeated, or more like she allowed them to be defeated. They had reached their goal of remaking the world in a way where non magical folk and wizard-kind could co-exist, so there wasn't much more they wanted to do.
Many rules and laws were broken in the process, nearly all of them to be exact, and it was the day of Mira's execution. She had made herself known among all races, and as a result even Dementors feared her and her magic that was able to kill them. Therefore no Dementor dared to near her for a kiss.
Mira stood in the Death Chamber of the British Ministry of Magic, and the massive stone Veil stood tall before her.
Hermione Granger, the current Minister of Magic, leaned against the stone part of the Veil and stared longingly at her old friend. "We thought of you as a friend, Mira." She said, sounding clearly hurt.
Mira stood in silence, her hands bound in front of her.
"Do you have anything to say for yourself?"
It was as though Mira hadn't heard Hermione's words at all, but answered nonetheless, "Won't we die, just a little?"
Hermione's hand shot up to cover her mouth, "Don't tell me you've made a Horcrux as well? Just like Voldemort?"
Hermione's words were met with more silence. Then an eerie grin crept onto Mira's face, which seemed to be a confirming answer. Both Harry Potter and Ron Weasley exchanged glances of partial horror.
"Til we meet again." Mira said and without a warning walked through the Veil, disappearing from the wizarding world.
On the other side of the Veil Mira found herself in a drastically different place, she found herself standing on top of a stage with ten or so other people, all of whom looked rather intriguing with their flashy costumes.
Most intriguing was a man who stood at over six feet and had his body and armor ablaze. "And who're you?" He asked, his flaming moustache and beard flickering as he spoke.
"Just a nobody who got lost. Care to help?" Mira said and raised her bound hands. The handcuffs themselves raised a commotion in the large crowd that watched the stage.
Mira tore her mind from her body with her Palantir eye and saw the crowd was filled with people with most obnoxious mutations, just like herself. Some grew horns and whatnot. And the other end was some of the people wore flashy costumes, just like the people on the stage.
Many thoughts raced around in Mira's mind about the mutations; either it had become a common occurrence for people to sacrifice a part of themselves like she had done multiple times, another possibility was that she was in a whole different reality, or then maybe, "What is your name?" The flaming man repeated himself and snapped Mira from her thoughts.
"My name isn't important. As I said, just a nobody."
"That's a fancy costume for a nobody. Are you a hero or a villain?" It was true Mira's clothes weren't exactly the most casual wear for everyday life; she wore mostly black with golden accents, her furry cloak draped over her shoulders, and her pants were torn to knee high as her draconic legs were protected by scales, she also had metallic knee guards.
"Oh I'm a hero to some and a villain for others. I may have broken a rule and law here and there, but never for bad intentions." It was a rather vague answer that Mira gave.
A moment of silence passed and in that moment Mira realised the focus of the entire great hall was fixed on her.
After another moment Mira said, "I guess that means no help. Oh well." And changed the form of her hands, for that was something she was able to do as a vampire. It was a special power only very few vampires had learned, but having Dracula's blood flowing through her veins made life so much easier.
Her forearms changed into dark mist and the handcuffs fell to the floor with a clatter. It was this moment that Endeavor realised that this woman in front of him would be trouble if she had bad intentions. If she could phase through objects there wasn't any prison that could hold her if need be, and oh how little did Endeavor know.
It seemed as though the show was finished as thousands of people stood up from their seats and started to leave quietly. Nobody had told them to leave, but it was as though someone had, as they all left at once.
In moments the entire great auditorium only had the costumed fellas left behind, who were the heroes.
"Did you do that?" Someone with red feathered wings, a yellow visor covering his face and wearing a flyer's vest asked, it was Hawks, the Number 2 hero.
"Are you accusing me?" Mira asked the man-bird.
Hawks stared into Mira's black glassy eyes. She had long since given up on regular human sight and sacrificed her eyes to gain a new perspective through creating 2 seeing-stones and embedding them as her eyes.
All the left over heroes in the auditorium gathered around Mira and blocked her from running away, but they didn't know the absurd power she harnessed in her weak build. With magic ancient and new, there was nearly nothing she couldn't do.
"Where are you from?" A blonde in a tight bodysuit and purple eyewear and purple horns asked Mira, causing her to turn her head.
"I believe that to be irrelevant. As I said I'm just a lost nobody. Anyone care to explain where I am and why all you are wearing costumes?" Mira retaliated at Mount Lady.
"Well you're in Japan, surely you knew that." A man shrouded in wood said, this was Kamui Woods.
"I was in London 15 minutes ago. Odd."
"Most peculiar." The Dragon Hero Ryukyu spoke up.
Mira thought this wouldn't go anywhere at this rate, so she took her Elder Wand out and raised it, it was a long dark and beady magic wand. "Which of you is willing to share their mind with me?"
All the heroes present backed away and raised their guard at Mira's words, all except Endeavor, who stood still and menacingly. "Perfect." Mira said.
She performed Legilimency on the Number 1 hero and she read through his entire mind, of all the history lessons he had attended in school, all his hero work, all of his family issues and how he had abused his children and wife. When Mira was done only a moment later she had a pretty good grasp on the situation.
"So that's how it is. Thanks for that. I'll be taking my leave." Mira put her wand away and thanked Endeavor for his involuntary help.
A gloved hand grabbed Mira's shoulder tightly, "You won't be going anywhere before you answer us."
Mira turned around to see the speaker resembled herself quite a lot, both of them had equally long white hair, animal ears and shared the same demeanor. Only differences between Mira and the bunny girl were their height and skin tone, Miruko's was much more tanned.
"Do you really think you can hold me?" Mira asked softly and the air around her shifted, all the pro heroes felt a sense of danger around them.
Miruko let go of Mira's shoulder and the sudden uneasiness in the air faded away.
Without saying another word, Mira left the stage and left the entire building and entered the streets outside. It was raining quite badly, but Mira, being able to control storms as a part-Thunderbird and Jiaolong, willed the storm clouds away and the sun shone again.
The outside world was just as wild as the indoors, if not wilder. Mira found herself standing in a metropolis of sorts, people with all sorts of crazy mutations and abilities walking past her and people in even crazier costumes walking the streets.
Mira started walking down the street and took note of everything she wasn't accustomed to. All went smoothly until she was surprised from behind by someone slamming their hand in her back.
Mira furiously spun around and swung her left arm, only to miss her target and hit a light pole with a metallic clang and a major dent was left in the light pole. "What was that for?" The culprit shouted and faces all around turned to look at the two.
It was Miruko who had surprised Mira, but she had changed out of her costume and was wearing much more casual wear, jeans and a tank top. "Well-" "And what is your arm made of? That sound was surreal." Miruko asked as she examined the dent in the light pole.
"Iron." Mira casually said as she pulled the sleeve of her shirt up and revealed the shiny silvery arm. Miruko examined the iron arm and noticed it wasn't like any prosthetic she had ever seen before, for it was a solid chunk of iron that had no joints.
"No joints. How do you move your arm?" She asked.
"Magic." Mira jokingly said and raised her eyebrows for a fleeting moment. It was true she was using magic to move her arm, but she was going to play around with Miruko about her complicated body.
"Regardless. Why'd you change out of your costume?" Mira asked the Rabbit Hero.
"Decided to take a day off. Thought I'd show you around." The bunny girl replied and Mira noticed the bag in Miruko's hands that she assumed had her costume inside.
"That would be nice." Mira said. "I haven't been to Japan in a while, the place seems to have changed since my last visit."
"Oh you've been here before? Hmm, can I ask for your name now, or are you going to beat me up if I do?" Miruko teased Mira as they started walking down the street together.
"Sure. It's Mira Hall."
A look of doubt crept onto Miruko's face, "No way. You can't be her."
"Why not?"
"Well, if we assume you are her, then you're definitely a villain. You broke almost every single wizarding law back in your ruling time."
"Nothing more than means to an end." Mira said, excusing her crimes.
Miruko brushed this off and continued, "Even then, you're not supposed to be real. Just like King Arthur, you're a pseudo historical figure. A fairy tale."
"Well here I stand in full might. Just tell me how and I will prove that I am myself." Mira said.
"I believe you. I've read enough about you, but keep your name down, though. Not everyone thinks highly of you. Some might be after your head if they knew who you are."
Mira took Miruko's words more as a challenge than a warning. It was nice to know she had made a reputation for herself, but knowing she was a work of fiction pained her.
Eventually the two walked to a train station and Miruko booked 2 tickets going to Hiroshima as that was where she lived.
On the train the two continued their chit chat and when they finally arrived at Miruko's home it was starting to get dark, and only then Mira realised there was a bite of winter in the air.
Before Miruko could grab the door handle to her house the door swung open by itself. She raised a brow and asked Mira, "Did you do that?"
"Perhaps."
"Huh, that's cool. So what exactly can you do with magic?"
A grin grew on Mira's face, "Magic can do anything that I will it to do. Be it opening a locked door or forcing thousands of people to leave am auditorium, magic can do it all."
"So it was you who told the people to leave there." Miruko said and shifted her gaze between the 3 pairs of eyes focused on her. There were Mira's black glassy eyes, and the 2 heads of the serpent sprouting from her right shoulder.
"There are very few things I can't do." Mira excused herself and they both stepped indoors to warm up, of course, Mira had a small layer of fur and scales covering her body under her clothes so she wasn't bothered however cold it got. And even if she was she could always use magic to make herself warm again. The same couldn't be said for Miruko, whose hero costume wasn't the warmest even in the winter.
Elsewhere
A certain doctor with a fancy and thick moustache eyed the news and saw the altercation of the top heroes' speeches and how everyone had left the auditorium during the Japanese Hero Billboard Chart, everyone except one camera that was left live streaming the event.
Being able to command thousands of people on a whim would certainly be a powerful quirk for the League of Villains to possess. Not to mention appearing out of thin air and having several bodily mutations, that each no doubt held power behind them.
The doctor wanted to inform All For One as soon as possible, but it wouldn't be plausible as he was stuck in Tartarus after All Might defeated him in their second duel.
As the temporary brains of the League, Doctor Garaki Kyudai had to take action and plan ahead for the new white haired woman that quite literally appeared out of thin air on the stage.
Roughly a week passed and Mira had taken a liking to Miruko's place and had started living there, though she wasn't allowed to come with her to do hero things as Miruko hated teamwork.
Mira was in the kitchen washing the dishes without magic, she wanted something to do with her hands because she'd had for the whole day a bad feeling, as though something bad was going on.
Halfway through the dishes she left her position and with a snap of her iron fingers the dishes continued washing themselves. Mira moved into the large living room and put the news on and read the first headline, "BREAKING NEWS: The top 2 heroes of Japan target of a villain attack!"
Mira gathered every bit of information she could muster in a second or so, it was a city scape, length of the shadows, position of the sun, cloud patterns, anything she could gather to figure the exact position of the scene, and then she saw it, a small business along the street.
An incredibly quick Google search later she figured where the store was and with a loud crack Mira was gone, disapparated somewhere far away.
"Crap, Endeavor come on." Hawks watched as the top hero was thrown through a skyscraper, splitting the building in half. The tip of the skyscraper started falling and Hawks let his Fierce Wings loose, detaching every single red feather he had to rescue the civilians from the damaged part of the building. He himself jumped out of a window and glided on top of a nearby roof.
"Flashfire, Hell Spider!" Endeavor threw his hands forward and from the tip of his fingers erupted thin lines of condensed flames that tore into the damaged bit of the skyscraper and reduced it to chunks of concrete and rubble.
"You aren't really good in the kitchen with a knife, are you?" Hawks shouted at the Number 1 hero as he again let his feathers loose and attempted to control the falling rubble, but it was too much, he didn't have enough feathers.
The evacuation down at the street level wasn't nearly finished and both of the top heroes realised the falling rubble would hit the civilians. It was too late to do anything.
Some nearby heroes launched whatever long range attacks they could muster at the flying High End Nomu, but didn't even scratch it. And then the worst happened.
"You're in the way!" The Nomu shouted and around a dozen or so white Nomus shot from its body and they started attacking the heroes and civilians alike. The enemy had turned the number advantage on its head and eliminated what little advantage Hawks and Endeavor had.
"Oh, just now! Can you see it? Endeavor! He's so bright even at this distance!" A news reporter pointed out Endeavor preparing one of his ultimate moves, and it was true, Endeavor resembled a miniature sun as he released more and more heat.
For a moment Hawks thought it was over, he had run out of feathers to move the rubble and there were still bystanders in the streets, but, like a wish come true, the falling of the rubble simply stopped.
The rubble hovered in the air and suddenly reversed their fall, the rubble fell back into the skyscraper and it started healing. It was unreal, Hawks thought, as though someone had reversed time for the building. In a few moments time the building was spotless, not a single crack in the concrete.
Hawks felt it in the floor with his Fierce Wings, he felt someone closing in on him, and he turned around to face the stranger. It was the same woman from a week ago, those bodily mutations were unmistakable.
Mira raised her Elder Wand above her head and spun it in circles. Pitch black storm clouds gathered around her in a swirl, and she stood in the eye of the storm.
Violently lowering her wand a dozen lightning bolts struck at once, burning the white Nomus in a heartbeat.
"First of all, thank you! Second of all, back off and get to safety!" Hawks shouted at Mira from the floor, but Mira didn't react. She watched as Endeavor released all his flames and evaporated the High End Nomu, or so they thought.
The Nomu had thrown its head to safety and by regenerating it shot a tendril toward Endeavor, scarring his face by tearing a large wound on it. Blood spilling everywhere.
The Nomu fully regenerated its body as the Number 1 hero fell to the ground. The Nomu flew a few victory laps around the block, and then Mira did something Hawks couldn't believe his eyes.
Mira opened a pouch on her waist, and she pulled out of it a long spear that crackled with red electricity. The spear was far too large to fit in that little pouch no matter how you put it there, but there it came from. It was like magic.
Mira reeled back her throw and threw the spear with all of her strength, hitting the Nomu square in the side. The impact of the blow was enough to shatter every window in the city block and pulverize nearly all of the Nomu's body, though not its head.
"Strong."
Mira focused her sight on the Nomu's falling head and saw its enormous yellow eyes were fixed on her, this was good. Now that Endeavor was out of commission she had to get rid of the Nomu herself, which in turn meant she could let loose.
Shoving her hand back into her pouch she felt a cold metal handle. The Nomu shot a tendril toward Mira and Hawks shouted at her to watch out, but the attack never made contact.
With an upward cut Mira had severed the Nomu's hand with a massive green glaive with a golden blade. It was a long spear-like weapon that depicted a green dragon breathing flames onto the blade. Mira had added her own enchantments to the glaive and it now could cut anything it made contact with.
Several more tendrils came her way, but all of them were cut down in the blink of an eye. Hawks couldn't do anything other than watch in amazement as Mira stood tall and wouldn't falter in front of the foe.
If Mira hadn't blown everyone's mind already, she would do it all over again as she transformed her body into a nearly mile long serpent with a skeletal skull and countless rainbow feathers lining her new body, on top of that she now had 2 ginormous wings. And then she took flight. Out of all the things that were more wilder and crazier, she took flight. Hawks was convinced magic was at play, nobody besides All For One had this many quirks.
Everyone watched as Mira grappled the Nomu in midair and eventually rose higher and higher, vanishing into the swirling storm.
Many minutes passed and everyone felt a sense of relief. The civilians calmed down greatly and even the pro heroes took a breather.
But then the heavens split apart.
From the eye of the storm descended an iron pillar, 100 feet in diameter and beyond tall. It fell to the ground and tore the streets apart for several city blocks in all directions. Many buildings fell at the moment of impact and the iron pillar sunk unbelievably deep into the ground.
And out of nowhere, as suddenly as it had come, the iron pillar vanished, or more so it shrunk to fit the hand of the wielder, Mira.
She stood on top of the Nomu in the deep crater that was left behind after her stunt. By raising her hand she called for the Green Dragon Crescent Blade and sunk the blade into the Nomu's skull, killing it.
The destruction that was left behind was nothing she couldn't fix with magic and a clap of her hands.
The buildings repaired themselves and the crater rose to the surface and the cracks in the street mended themselves seamlessly.
Mira summoned the spear she had thrown into her hand and fitted it back into the little pouch on her waist, same went for the glaive and the iron rod.
The danger seemed to be over, but there was still someone else who wanted to play.
