I decided to work with the SPD since I think it's a little more straightforward with the main story and they have some good side episodes. Please no flame if some sentences are wrong.

Backstory of the OC: Alex Lopez was an Orphan when his parents vanished as they were part of SPD. Z is his childhood friend and crush.

Chapter 1: Beginnings
(Dream)
In the park a 10 year old boy blew out candles that were on a cake with the words Happy Birthday. People around had clapped and a bright flash was seen as a picture was taken by the boy's mom.
"Happy Birthday Alex." a man who was the father ruffled his son's hair as he laughed.
"Thanks dad, I'm just glad you and mom are here." young Alex smiled.
"We never would miss this." His mother smiled.
Alex was opening presents from relatives which were some new clothes, video games and books of martial arts that he likes to read as he would practice too. Z, who was his best friend, had given him a handmade friendship bracelet.
Nothing could ruin this perfect day...But unfortunately fate had plans.
A black patrol car was pulling up which confused everyone. Two patrollers got out and went to Alex's parents.
"Mr and Mrs Lopez, you need to come with us, it's urgent." said the officer with sunglasses..
The man frowned and his wife furiously questioned. "It's our son's Birthday, what can be so urgent?!"
The second officer with a cap spoke. "Commander said it's of importance, we believe we may have finally found...him."
The parents' expressions were of shock and surprise. They looked at one another. The father sighed and looked at the two officers. "Tell the commander we'll be on our way."
Once the officers left. Alex's parents knelt down in front of his son "We're sorry Mijo for leaving like this." the Father said as his wife hugged and kissed their child's cheek.
Alex father took off a golden necklace around his neck and soon put it around his son. The young boy looked down to the necklace and saw it had a medallion with a Jaguar design engraved into it.
"That necklace belonged to your great grandfather, it's been passed down from generation to generation. I think it's time for you to hold it."
Alex was looking at the medallion closely in awe. He looked at his dad and hugged him tight. "We'll make it up to you when we get back, we promise." Alex Mother said as she and her husband hugged their son.
After a minute the parents finally got up to their feet and went with the officers to which they soon drove off as young Alex watched the vehicle go.
Everything soon turned white
(End Dream)
Snapping his eyes open, a young man sat up quickly and panted slightly. After a few minutes he regained himself.
He sighed as he stood up and threw on a black coat that had gold color stripes running down the sleeves . He saw both his only friends Jack and Z still asleep. Quietly he snuck out the hideout which was an abandoned warehouse.
He smelled the fresh cool air and walked over to the docks and sat on a bench as he watched the sun come up.
"I Thought I might find you here." a voice said from behind to which Alex turn and saw a young Hispanic women with long brown hair, and the most gorgeous honey brown eyes he had ever seen.
"I saved you a seat." He joked as he patted an empty area next to him.
Z chuckled. "Such a gentleman." She sat next to him as they watched the view.
A few minutes was silent between the two until Z broke it.
"The same dream again?" Z asked. Though she didn't have too as this is the only place he is at when he does have it.
Alex nodded "Yeah…" He said and looked down to his necklace. The sun rose up which was a beautiful sight as the water sparkled from the reflection.
"Go wake Jack up, we got to start moving. Markets will be opening up soon." Alex said.
Z and him had run away from the orphanage and since then they had lived in the streets where they years later would meet Jack. Seeing many homeless and poor people, The three had then decided to help them.
And that was by stealing food, clothes and medicine. This of course led them to be chased by security but they were easy to get away from.
"I hear you." a voice made the duo turn and saw Jack who was an African American with dreadlocks.
"I'm surprised you're up this early." Z teased.
"Yeah Yeah." Jack waved her off which made Alex chuckled
"Alright children. Let's go." he tease them.
"Stop Thieves." a security guard was chasing the trio who were running with clothes and other stuff.
"Damnit Jack, I thought he would have learned from last time." Alex said as he ran and parkour flipped over a table.
"I didn't know he was watching me." Jack Said as he continued to run while avoid running into people.
"You think it would be a good time to use our abilities now?" Z questioned
Jack knocked over a pile of boxes where the trio unfortunately ran into another trio who were SPD officers who all got in a fighting stance, Two male and a short female.
"Out of the way, we don't want to hurt you." Said Jack
"Hurt us? That's a good one." the middle male said.
Alex didn't like this guy as he can sense arrogance and cockiness off him.
"SPD, we'll take it from here." the long blonde female told the security as she showed the badge.
"Thank you." The security breathed out as he left to regain his stamina.
"You may not be coming in peacefully. But you're coming in." The arrogant SPD officer said.
Alex and his friends got into a fighting stance. "Just try it, pretty boy." He smirked as he saw the guys angry frown.
"Don't forget me." a voice said from behind the SPD trio and turned to see a clone of Z who had a smug grin.
The SPD female did a roundhouse which fazed through Z's clone. "It's a hologram, it's not real." She told the guys
"Close but no cigars." Alex smirked.
Suddenly Z's clone threw a high kick which knocked the female down. "Okay she's real." she winced as her team helped her back up.
"See ya, wouldn't wanna be ya." Alex said as he ran away with Jack and Z following as they laughed.
As the trio continued to run Alex could hear SPD still on their tail. "Split up." He told the two who did what he said.
Alex turned as he got who he wanted. "We'll then. Let's dance, pretty boy." He got into a fighting stance and made a bring it gesture.
The arrogant SPD threw punches and a kick which Alex blocked. He retaliated with a front kick that was blocked and then a hook kick which was dodged but Alex kept on coming with the kicks that went low, middle and high. He repeated them to the head which was blocked but Alex knew he was getting to him. He quickly switched stance and proceeded to continue with his kicks with his left leg.
His opponent was backed up against a table which he used to throw at Alex but he threw a fast high kick that broke the object in two.
Alex was in a Taekwondo stance as he extended his leg high in the air. He smirked. "Is that it?"
"Okay then, no more Mr. nice guy." The SPD man said as he got into his fighting stance.
Alex burst with inhuman speed which took the man by surprise as he then barely dodged a kick which now turned to numerous blurs, one after another they were blocked or connected. Alex hit a front kick to the chest which knocked his opponent back. He ran and jumped for a flying kick but a blue shield was created by the SPD man which sent Alex flying back and landing on a table back first.
Groaning, he was then grabbed up by the SPD but he broke out of the grip and continued to fight as he was throwing fast punches which the guy blocked and threw some of his own but they were dodged and a good right punch to the sternum sent the SPD stumbling back.
Alex saw the effects of his punch as his opponent rubbed his chest as he slightly winced. "You okay?" he cheekily asked.
The guy was getting frustrated as his attacks got sloppy just as Alex predicted, talk about a hothead. From the corner of his eyes he can see Jack and Z finish with their opponents. Deciding to end this he countered the punches and did a mid air spin kick that sent the patroller flying and crashing into a pile of boxes that fell on top of him.
"Thanks for the exercise, but we got other things to do." He ran to Jack and Z who laughed as they followed and soon were out of sight.
The brown-haired SPD male was helped up by his female teammate. Once he was up on his feet they looked where the thieves ran off. "Well, that went well."
"You got that right, we're definitely not ready to be Rangers." the female said.
"A little help Syd, Bridge." The annoyed third teammate called out to them who helped him as they moved some of the boxes off of him.
"You alright Sky?" the brown haired man known as Bridge asked
"I'm fine." The second teammate Sky said with annoyance as the thieves got away but more mostly his defeat at the hands of a thug.
"Come on, we got to get back to commander Cruger. He may want to know about this." the female known as Syd said.
-SPD Base-
You underestimated your opponents and were soundly defeated." Commander Cruger reprimanded them. He was a blue anubis-like dog wearing a long leather uniform.
"We are so not ready to be Power Rangers." Syd said
"I'm ready." Sky said
"Oh so it must've been Syd And I who let those three get away." Bridge told Sky.
"Listen to yourselves there's no team here. This is the issue that will have to be overcome before you become a Power Ranger." Cruger told them
"Oh..I get it. All we have to do is stop blaming, criticizing and judging each other? Syd asked
"You forgot to mention failing to bring in suspects." Bridge put in.
"Right let's see that puts his right on schedule to be rangers around...never." Syd spoke her thoughts.
"You will meet those three again." Cruger assured them.
"Sir, the civilians, they were different. They have special abilities like we do, and the one I fought too, some of his fighting moves reminded me of what was taught in the SPD academy."
"Yes I know Cadet Tate. Come with me." The commander motioned Sky to follow him out.
Alex, Z and Jack gave out the last of the stuff to an alien. The trio sat down on wooden crates. "Guys." She gained their attention. "We've been on the streets a long time together, you both are my best friends, you're like brothers to me."
She chuckled. "And brothers, after five years of doing this, I say we change careers, I mean I'm tired of playing Robin Hood."
Alex was thinking about Z's words while Jack was handing his sweater to an alien.
"You really want that Z?" Alex asked.
"Well ya, I mean I still want to help but we got to be a part of something bigger, something great." Z said
Alex smiled at her. "You know I'll support you wherever you do."
Z smiled back at her friend and both looked at Jack who sighed in defeat. "Alright, alright, we got to do something else."
Z smiled. Okay"
"But after we do one more job.: smirked Jack
Z sighed in frustration. "Jack, do you realize some food or clothes are going to make a difference? If we're gonna make a change then.. We got to be a part of something greater."
" I have to agree with Z, Plus I don't want to be running away all my life." Alex said
"Yeah well when you both find something greater, let me know." Jack tells them.
Z sighed and Alex rolled his eyes. He whispered to Z. "Let's just do it, I got a feeling he'll be changing his mind." he said which got a smile from the Hispanic female.
-Back at SPD base-
Cruger spoke with Sky as they were in the hallway. "Why Red Ranger Cadet?" Cruger asked.
"Lot's of reasons sir. I'm top on B-squad in test score weaponry and in fighting." Sky list to Which the commander nodded as this was true.
Sky continued. "As you know sir, my father was the Red Ranger. And ever since I was a little kid I've trained for the day I become like my dad.. The next Red Ranger."
"Your father was the best of the best of Rangers. If you're anything like him, we will all benefit by your service. Dismissed." Cruger said
"Thank you sir." Sky saluted and was prepared to leave.
"Cadet." He called Sky who walked back. "If I was to appoint Syd as Red Ranger, would you follow her to battle?"
Sky gave a slight scoff with a laugh "Sir, she's a girl." he said.
"Or Bridge?" Cruger asked
"..I like Bridge but in all honesty sir, he's not a leader." Sky said with honesty.
"I see... Thank you for your honesty cadet, dismissed."
Sky Saluted as he left .
Cruger began to think.
-in space-
A ship was in front of a space web. Inside was a lair with a figure with red eyes that shined through the darkness that covered him. "A sirian space web. Anubis 'Doggie' Cruger is still alive. The web is strong. I need a proton accelerator to move my ship through it. I have a contact on the earth planet who will be able to get me one. My ship may not be able to get through it now.
The figure stepped out to show a alien-skeleton who had red eyes like rubies and carried a weapon/mantle. "But a robot can." He stepped forward to the machine that was in front of him. "Get me what I ask. AND LET NO ONE STOP YOU!" His eyes flashed bright Red.
"Yes Master." the robot saluted and proceed to do his mission
-With Alex-
"Well that's the last of it." Alex said as he put the last of the clothes inside of a truck that was parked behind the store. Thanks to his super speed he was able to empty out the place in no time.
Jack closed down the back of the truck "You know Alex, If you use more of your speed ability and Z's selves, we could get unlimited amounts of clothes, food and-
"No Jack, this is our last job for Alex, me and all my selves, so we're packing up and doing it alone, you got it?" Z told Jack. Alex put a hand on her shoulder to relax
"Help me." The trio heard and saw a running green looking alien wearing a suit. He ran up to them and handed Jack something. "Take this, don't let them have it. The future of the planet depends on it. Hide it." The alien urged in panic and looked behind and ran as he climbed over the bridge.
Z and Jack looked at each other and laughed at this but Alex.
For some reason had a really bad feeling in his gut and to be honest... It frightened him a little. The last time he had this feeling was when he got the news of his parents' disappearance.
He shook his head and decided to not overthink things again, he climbed in the truck. Soon as they drove away an explosion of sparks went off.
-Next day-
Alex and Z were finishing handing out the last of the clothes. "Well this is all that is left." Jack showed the two the thing that was given by the green alien last night. "You can't eat it or wear it, it has no value." he threw it like a basketball and it landed in a garbage can to which he cheered
Alex saw Z who was looking a little annoyed.
Jumping down from the back of the truck Jack looked at them. "Now did you see how much those people appreciate what we gave them?"
"Yeah. Kind of gave me that warm fuzzy feeling." She said with a smile which made Jack grin.
"That you hate so much." Alex Said and laughed as Jack's expression slowly dropped.
"Exactly." Z said to him. "And no, we didn't change our mind about doing something greater." She said
Alex heard the sirens and saw a motorcycle and a jeep with the SPD logo. Sky stepped off the bike and took his glove off while Bridge and Syd stepped out the jeep to be by their teammate. "Nice to see you three again." Sky Said while he looked at Alex who smirked.
"Back for more pretty boy." He taunted Sky who glared.
"I told you we should have quit while we were ahead Jack." Z told him.
"Don't worry, I'll take care of this and then we'll be on our way." Jack Said. He charged headfirst towards Sky
"Jack, wait!" Alex tried to stop him but it was too late as Sky created a shield which zapped and sent Jack flying back and hitting the ground.
"Jack!" Z called out and ran to him.
Alex now was pissed off and a gold aura was seen lightly around him before it vanished.
"Guess what? You're not the only one with tricks." Sky said.
However he made the mistake of taking his eyes off Alex as he appeared in the air thanks to his speed and connected scissor kick that both Bridge and Syd blocked but were still sent back by the force. Unfortunately for Sky a kick to the chest sent him flying back knocking over his motorcycle.
"Sky!" Syd called out in worry and ran to him along with Bridge and helped him up. "Are you alright?"
"Alex, let's get out of here!" Z called to him as she helped Jack up.
"You guys go, I'll hold them off." Alex told them as he got into a fighting stance.
"We're not going to abandon you." Jack said.
"Yeah, you must be crazy if you think we're gonna do that." Z glared at him.
"But you guys aren't as skilled in combat as I am." Alex told them "Beside…" He turned to look at them. "This won't take long."
"Oh you did not just say that." Syd said with a hostile glare.
"Should I find that offensive?" Bridge questioned.
Sky kept his glare on the guy. "You're not getting away this time."
"Come on Z." Jack told her. Alex made a good point as he is the most experienced in fighting. While he himself and Z only knows little like he said.
Z looked conflicted at what she should do. She looked at Alex one last time and took his word. She hated it though, why does he always have stubborn moments? She and Jack ran.
"We'll worry about those two later, we got to mostly take in this guy." Sky said,
Alex rolled his feet and clenched his knuckles which popped. SPD trio took their stance. He didn't waste time and sped towards Sky who was prepared and made a shield but suddenly Alex jumped high as he did a 360 over Sky he connected kicks to the back which sent Sky hitting the ground.
Alex rolled back to his feet. Bridge threw punches but they were easily evaded. Kicks were thrown by the speedster which had Bridge dodging. A hook kick came at him which he ducked under it was followed by a front kick then a left roundhouse making him duck again.
Bridge threw a punch followed by a kick but they were countered as Alex spun with left and right roundhouse kicks and then a fast spinning low sweep which got the SPD patroller to back away to create distance. He kept going with the fast roundhouse until he spun a 360 in the air and connected a roundhouse which sent Bridge hitting the ground.
he looked up and saw Syd coming from the air with her right fist silver metallic. He waited until the last second and quickly dodged as she slammed her fist into the ground and unfortunately, her fist was stuck. "Uh oh." she said and tried to pull her hand out.
"First time on the job?" Alex curiously asked.
"Yeah so what!?" She angrily questioned, thankfully Bridge and Sky helped get her hand free. "Thanks guys."
"Thinks it time to bust out the morphers?" Bridge asked, a little eager to try out his Ranger form.
'Morphers?' Alex thought to himself. Where did he hear that before?
"No. You know that's the use of emergencies only." Sky told him as he followed the rules
" I usually don't always agree with Bridge, but he's right on this, this guy is too much" Syd said.
"Is it wrong just to help the poor?" Alex questioned them.
"You're charged with theft and assault on officials." Sky said.
"I can live with that." Alex smirked.
Before everyone moved a robot with the blue head had appeared between the four. It stood up as it had some kind of small sphere which he threw in the air and it dissolved to form other robots but the difference was they had soccer shape like heads.
"That's okay. A few extra friends won't bother us." Sky said confidently.
"Hate to tell you pretty boy, but these ain't friends of mine which reminds me, chow." Alex said before he sped off.
The trio were left to deal with the robots.
Alex soon saw Jack and Z but he stopped halfway towards them and looked back. "What's wrong?" asked Jack as he and Z ran to him.
"Something appeared, it seems it's after the trio, they're surrounded by more of them.." Alex started to have a conflict with himself as the thought of the three battling those things.
What would his parents do?
He sighed "We have to help them"
"What?" they questioned at the same time.
"They were trying to arrest us." Z said
Alex looked back from where he ran and at the two. "I'm sorry, but this is something I can't ignore." He ran back to the trio however he was soon followed by Z and Jack.
"You're so stubborn." Z said while running
-SPD Rangers-
SKy, Syd and Bridge had morphed and were battling through the robots. Sky the blue ranger had kicked an enemy far back. Bridged, the green ranger was flipping over each of the enemies and doing movies he has never done before. Syd the pink ranger was having no problem as she was easily dodging and attacking the enemies that came at her.
They were soon hit by a blast by the blue head robot which hurt them and were knocked down as smoke sizzled from their suits. The enemies were closing in on them but suddenly out of Nowhere Alex appeared from the air and delivered multiple jumping side kicks to the chest of the blue robot which sent it crashing. Soon Z and Jack had appeared as they came down from a metal hook that they used to slide down while kicking the other enemies away, they landed near him.
The trio watched as the Rangers were finishing the enemies but the Blue bot left as what he was looking for was not there.
The Rangers power down and reveal Sky, Syd and Bridge. They ran to the trio who joined. "Thanks for the help." Bridge gave a brother handshake to Alex who smiled as he already liked this guy.
"No problem homes." Alex said.
"There's one problem." Sky snatched Alex's forearm in a grip and glared at Alex who return the hostile look.
"But they helped us." Syd breaks the grip which surprised Alex as she was defending him.
"They. Are criminals." Sky said, not taking his eyes off Alex who was ready to fight if necessary.
Sirens broke the tension between the two as another SPD jeep arrived. "Cadet Tate, Stand down!" Cruger ordered.
the team was wondering what the commander was doing here while the thief's knew they wont get away this time
Alex, Z and Jack were currently being seen sitting in a cell at SPD base.
"You had to go back and help." Z told the speedster who winced.
"Come on Z, don't be too hard on him, honestly I would've done the same thing." Jack said
"Open" Commander Cruger came and the cell opened as he walked in standing in front of the trio. "Welcome."
Alex snorted. "Well this is a welcoming party, I don't see food or drinks."
Cruger looked at him for a few seconds and continued. "You are at Space Patrol Delta headquarters. The most advanced center of its kind." The commander explained.
"Your cops?" Jack said.
"No. Space Patrol Delta. We handle crime and criminals that have a negative impact on this planet." Cruger replied
"Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't realize feeding a hungry person was a threat to the planet." Z sarcastically said
"Hear me out. This academy trains cadets to be the most elite crime fighting force known to man. The Power Rangers. We defend the earth against the darkest of evil in the galaxy."
"Hey, write this down. It would make a great science fiction movie." stated Jack.
"Or a comic book." Alex chuckled
"The world has changed and in the upcoming months, it will change as no one can imagine." Cruger said. He pointed to the three thieves. "I see potential in you. You can serve your time in prison, or you can become part of something greater. something that makes a difference."
"Can we think about this?" Z asked, then looked at Jack and Alex who looked at one another.
"Of course." said Cruger. five seconds later "Time's up. Your decision?"
Cruger led Z to the training area where Sky, Bridge and Syd were tutoring a lower level class. "Rangers!" Cruger called out. The three cadets saluted and stood at parade rest.
"Elizabeth Delgado-" Cruger began.
"Hey, remember me?" Z interrupted. "You can call me Z."
"Hey." Bridge greets with a wave. Z smiled and returned the greeting.
"Ms. Delgado has chosen to join SPD. I've assigned her to B-Squad." explained Cruger.
"Sir, she's a criminal." Sky pointed out.
Cruger tilted his head. "Duly noted."
"Sir, we have been here for years and you put her with us?" questioned Sky.
"Cadet, you may be wise to remember that she was a worthy opponent despite your prior training and greater number, she is your new team member. I expect you to treat her as such." said Cruger, he turned and walked away. The three cadets saluted again.
"So, what do you guys do for fun?" Z asks, trying to break the uneasy tension.
"Bring in thieves." Sky answers smartly.
Z smirked.
On the ship, Grum was scolding the robot. "I will not tolerate failure!" he shouted at it. "I sent you to Earth to get the proton accelerator! You returned with nothing."
The blue head robot was lifted in the air. "Therefore, you shall be…nothing!" he said as his eyes glowed red and the blue head was crushed in midair before falling to the floor. "I need another!"
A blue metallic object fell to the floor and out came another Blue head. "What are my order, master?" it asked. "I am ready!"
Grum laughed in pleasure.
-SPD Base-
Later that evening, Alex was meditating while Jack was trying to escape through the window, but R.I.C. a machine K-9 was on guard duty at the cell door. "Come on, come on."
Alex saw the K9 but didn't say anything. Reason he didn't go with Z was because he still didn't know if he should join, even after Cruger speech he just didn't know. Was it something he really wanted to do?
He looked at his necklace and held it as he sighed
"Got it. Come on Alex." Jack said and looked at the dog. "It's been a slice," Jack was about to exit through the window when R.I.C. fired a laser beam aclose to him which knocked him down and the window close, Alex chuckled at that.
Z along with a clone came bringing a tray of food. "Open." she said, and the door opened. "Voice recognition system. Pretty cool, huh?" said Z, walking over to the guys. "Hungry?"
Jack took the tray and began eating while Alex took his and smiled. "Thanks."
The clone smiled and merged back with Z
"Nice costume. I see you waste no time adapting." Jack said while chewing.
"It's not a costume, it's a uniform." retorted Z. "Stop being so stubborn Jack. There's still time for you and Alex to be part of the team."
Jack mockingly laughed "Never." He turned to look at Z. "You know, Me, you and Alex were a team Z. I can't believe you broke that up for nothing, what about Alex?"
"Please don't bring me into this, and like I said, I'm unsure." Alex said
"First of all, I didn't break it up. We were arrested. Second, it's not for nothing. For the first time, I'm excited about being part of something greater." said Z.
"I'm happy for you really." replied Jack.
Z sighed but a hand on her shoulder broke the tension and saw Alex who gave her a look that said he'll talk to him.
She stood up. "Open." She turned her head to look at Jack. "Guess you can't talk your way out of everything Jack." she tells him and left. Jack mocks her, then goes and tries to get the cell door to open.
"Jack." Alex gained his attention. "Let's have a talk."
"Discipline, control, teamwork. These are the elements that make you a power ranger, but these are things the academy cannot teach you." Cruger explained. "These are things, you must learn for yourself any questions?" The four cadets were standing in front of him in the command center. Sky leaned in close.
"Uh sir…seems there was a mistake…I was given the blue ranger. I thought-" Sky started to say.
"There was no mistake." Commander Cruger cut him off firmly.
"Let it go, Sky." Syd quickly told him.
"But sir!" Sky said, ignoring her. "I know it would have made a difference fighting those goons."
"Who are you calling goons?" Z snapped.
"Not you, the other goons." explained Syd, Z relaxed hearing this.
"They were weird, huh?" Bridge spoke up suddenly. "They had these big metal soccer ball heads that were going like 'bing, bing'"
"Krybots!" exclaimed Cruger, his head lifting. "Troobian robotic foot soldiers…they do not feel pain or emotion. They know no mercy. They are programmed to follow orders and destroy." he said.
"And there was a blue one with a big X head." said Syd.
"A blue head?!" Cruger's eyes went wide. "Gruumm's elite robotic guard…this is more serious than I thought." he whispered, hitting his fist against the control panel in front of him. "Do you know what they were looking for?" he asked, looking at Z
"We had nothing of value." said Z, shaking her head. "We gave everything we sto-...We uh, acquired…to the poor." Z coughed, correcting herself.
"They were after something." Cruger muttered, more to himself than to the group. the alarm went off and a red light flashed in the room. "A-squad power rangers to engage giant robot in the downtown sector." Kat's voice echoed through the base. "Requesting B-squad rangers for immediate support."
Sky grinned as the others glanced around. "Finally, some action."
It turned out not quite as expected as they all thought. "Yes, finally some action." Z mocked as she swept up. "If you could count cleaning up robot parts." she grumbled.
"You think being a ranger is all about roundhouse kicks and being a hero?" Sky turned to her with a frown. "It's all about hard work…doing what you're told." he said.
"Don't let Sky get to you." Syd smiled at Z. "He gets easier to live with after…actually, he doesn't get easier to live with." she realized
A spark sets Bridge off to use his power to see what had happened. "Guys, check this out." Bridge called out.
"What's going on, Bridge?" Z asked.
"Massive amounts of post energetic fields." Bridge answers.
Sky bent over and picked up some wire. "Troobian robotic foot soldiers. Lots of them."
"And not just that." Bridge adds. "They were moving in geometrical patterns, similar to those used by intergalactic search parties."
"Cruger was right. They were looking for something." stated Syd. "Z, think hard, was there anything you had that they might have wanted?"
"No, after the food and clothes. All we have left was some piece of junk some guy gave Jack." said Z.
The three Rangers looked at her in disbelief.
-SPD Base-
Alex finished his talk with Jack. He just hopes that he will think about his words. He saw sparks coming from the K9. "You alright buddy? You don't look so hot"
The K9 made a rooster noise. Soon enough the door started to fill with smoke that was coming from somewhere.
"Uh oh that's not good." Alex said.
"No it ain't. Open, open." Jack tried to get out.
R.I.C fired laser beams at the door which opened.
"Good boy." Alex rubbed the K9 head and both followed Jack who stood in front a silver suited person which the smoke was coming from. Jack and Alex were looking for something but R.I.C made a pig noise catching their attention and saw a light sign on the dog that would stop the fire. Taking action Jack grabbed the K9 and sprayed foam that put out the smoke. Alex helped the guy up who was freaked out by the action.
"You ok?" Alex asked him.
"Yeah...I was uh…just testing Kat's new fire suit. Works pretty good." the young guy replies. "Didn't even know I was smoking. thanks." he pulled out his hand from the glove. "Name's Boom."
"Jack." Jack shook hands.
"Alex." the Hispanic said while wiping the foam off his coat
"Oh, you must be the new Power Rangers." stated Boom.
"No, no. We are not Power Rangers." said Jack. "I turned down the position. Alex here hasn't decided yet."
"Excuse my bluntness, but are you both whacked?" Boom asked. "I would give anything to be a power ranger. Me, I flunked out of the academy after only three days, that was five years ago. Luckily for me, the big blue dog saw my potential and made me their chief gadget tester."
"That sounds very important." replied Jack.
"The way I see it, we're all important, you know, we all make a difference. Even R.I.C." Boom stated. The robot dog just made a sound like a monkey.
Alex rubbed the dog's head and thought of Z. 'Wondering what she's doing?' he thought
-B-Squad-
The B-Squad cadets went back to the shipping and receiving yard. "Well, here it is." Z states, pulling out the proton accelerator. "See, it's junk."
"Maybe it's what they were after," said Syd.
"We'll bring it to Cruger." answered Sky, taking it from Syd, who took it from Z.
Bridge grabbed it from Sky. "Yeah, good idea. Let's bring it to Cruger... or we could, like not bring it to Cruger, I mean just not right away, but like later, you know, maybe after we check it out first, just give it a little once-over or something?"
"Yeah, that's against regulations." replied Sky, taking back the object in question.
"Not according to the S.P.D handbook." said Z. "Rule 473-B: Rangers on active field duty, have the authority to investigate any possible leads that may pertain to their investigation."
Sky, Bridge and Syd stared at Z like they didn't know her.
"What? I'm a quick study." said Z. "Now, who's with me?" Bridge raised a finger.
The four cadets went into an alley where most of the homeless lived. Z went up to a garbage like dumpster door and knocked on it. "Piggy! Get out here, it's Z."
The door slid open and out popped an alien. "Yikes! S.P.D.!" he said, ducking back inside and sliding the door. With that announcement, the homeless ran for it.
"It's cool, they're with us." said Z. Piggy came back out
"Is it alright that I go wait on the street where it's…" Syd began to say.
"Safe?" Bridge asked.
"Clean." finished Syd.
"Hey!" said Piggy.
"Found some space junk for you, Piggy." said Z, moving the missile-like object temptingly.
"Ah, space junk." Piggy said as he reached for it. However, Z moved backwards, pulling the object with her. Blue slime came out of Piggy's forehead nostrils. The group was disgusted by this
"Worthless trash, I'll throw it away for you." Piggy said
"Let's get out of here. He's wasting our time." said Sky.
"Bridge." Z called out. Bridge passed over a smelly bag. "Mmm, half eaten baloney sandwich but have been in the trash for weeks." said Z, holding out the bag.
Piggy licked his lips and was almost begging for the rotten food. Z pulled the bag back with a serious expression. "Fine, all that is you're run of the mill proton accelerator. There's only one on earth and that must be it." Piggy explains.
A blue head suddenly appeared from nowhere. "Oh, it looks like he may want it too." said Piggy before ducking back into his garbage.
"Hand it over or be destroyed." said the blue head.
"Ready?" Sky said
"Ready!" They replied
They pulled out their morphers. "S.P.D. EMERGENCEY!"
"Space Patrol Delta!"
"Now this is the bright side!" Z grinned, feeling the power flowing through her.
The four rangers rushed into the fight against the blue head. While they were fighting, Piggy snatched the proton accelerator and the rotten sandwich before taking off.
-SPD Base
Jack was walking by the command base along with Alex with R.I.C. Alex was impressed with the advancement that SPD has. Just then they heard Sky's plea for support. "Your 27 blocks away from our position and back up isn't possible, your on your own." Cruger told him
Alex watched the monitor, getting worried as Z was battling but was being overpowered. He noticed Jack was too worried.
Cruger turns and sees Jack and Alex. "Z's in trouble. We got to do something." Alex told Jack and the two were going to leave.
"Hold it you two." Commander Cruger called out to them to which they stopped. The Commander tossed them something that they caught and looked at. It was a device like shape police badge.
Jack's was normal like the others but Alex's was different, his was golden with a black X design with the SPD symbol in the middle of it.
-B-Squad-
The rangers were out-powered. Z was being helped up by Syd
"He's tough." said Bridge.
"I'm just getting started." responded the blue head.
"So are we." replied Sky.
"S.P.D. Blue!"
"S.P.D. Green!"
"S.P.D. Yellow!"
"S.P.D. Pink!"
"Rangers, ready!"
The lights on the side of their helmets flashed.
"Space Patrol Delta!"
Each ranger took their strikers and went after the blue head.
"You're through." the blue head promised. Working together the team were able to take the machine down.
"You're outnumbered." Z informed.
The blue head held up a metal sphere in his hand. "Not for long." He threw the metal sphere and more Krybots appeared from it.
"He wasn't kidding." said Bridge as the rangers grouped together.
"Who dressed these freaks?" Syd asked.
"Destroy them!" the blue head ordered. The rangers began to fight off the Krybots that surrounded them, throwing punches and kicks but there were too many of them. The blue head was about to leave when someone jumped and kicked him repeatedly in the chest while another had kicked him in the stomach which sent him back into the warehouse. "We got company." stated Syd as they all looked to see who it was that was running.
"Friends or foes?" Bridge questions.
Soon enough the running pair revealed to be Alex and Jack
"It's Jack and Alex." answered Z.
"Do you guys need any help?" asked Jack
"Cause backup has arrived." said Alex
"Just with him." Sky said referring to the blue robot
They got their morphers out "S.P.D. Emergency!" the guys exclaimed.
Jack had morphed to the Red Ranger 1 and made a fighting pose
Alex's morphing sequence began as his body glowed and had his arm against his chest like an X and threw them out as his suit appeared which was the same as everyone except instead of a number it was a X which was the roman for ten, Tonfa looking blaster weapons appeared by his left and right hip, his helmet had formed around him which too was different from the others
He did fast kicks before stopping and was ready for battle
(A/E If you don't know the gold ranger attire then look up SPD gold Rangers except the Tonfa are my idea)
"Let's get this party started. S.P.D. Red!" Jack took his stance as his helmet flashed sirens
"Don't mind if I join. S.P.D Gold!" Alex took his stance as his helmet too flashed sirens.
Sky was shocked and in disbelief at what he was seeing. "You got to be kidding me he's the red ranger?"
'Whoa, talk about a golden entrance." Bridge said referring to Alex
Z herself was happy.
The blue head summoned more Krybots. "Ah, these guys again?" Jack asked.
"No problem." Alex said as he cracked his knuckles
The two took their position as the krybots came and were fighting them off.
Alex turned kicks each coming his way, he kicks some with a combo of two or three to the body or head, he connects a turning side kick that sends the Krybot crashing to others and connects a hook kick to one by the left side. Seeing three coming at him the same time he jumped into a tornado kick which sent the enemies crashing.
He saw the blue head prepare to shoot at Jack but he used his speed and jump kicked him in the head. He was suddenly knocked out of the warehouse by a bot that took him by surprise, Jack helped him up.
"You alright?" Jack asked.
Alex nodded. "Yeah, why don't we light up this party?"
"You read my mind." Jack said.
"Delta Blasters." Jack pulled out a duel blaster pair.
"Tonfa Blasters." Alex pulled out his weapon.
The krybots charged. "Let's do this!" Alex exclaimed and charged along with Jack. The duo began to dodge attacks and fire their blasters, they did all kinds of flip dodging each of their enemies. Alex gave Jack a boost from his shoulder and he fired at multiple Krybots. Alex blocked an attack with his Tonfa and shot blasts with the other at the enemies. He kicked one enemy while he caught another with his weapon and fired at close range, sending the robot away. His weapons had glowed and created a razor like blade scythe which he used to slice and dice each that came at him
Jack had finished his share. The other four caught up with him. "Not bad for rookies," He said
"I'll say." Alex said.
"Now they're just showing off." said Syd.
"Oh, you haven't seen anything yet." replied Z. Jack was putting his own spin on fighting the blue head while Alex was the same as many Krybots were shot or sliced
"They're not following Academy Regulations." stated Sky.
"Delta Blaster Combo mode!" shouted Jack, combing his weapon together.
"Tonfa Assault Mode!" Alex combined the Tonfa together to form a long blaster.
"Fully charged! Fire!" Both Jack and Alex fired their weapons at the same time which destroyed the blue robot elite
"Where did you get that?" Sky asked, referring to the delta blaster in his hands.
"Came with the suit." answered Jack.
"Looking good in the suit." Z looked at Alex who behind his helmet blushed
From a far distance. An alien with a bowl on his head pressed a controller. "Here's where the real fun starts."
"What's that?" asked Sky as a giant robot appeared and blasted the squad. They struggled to their feet. Sky pulled out his morpher. "Sir, blue ranger requesting squad runners. Looks like were about to battle a giant robot."
"B-Squad, I've sent A-squad." answered Cruger. "Your orders are to stand down and evacuate your position."
Jack came running up behind Sky. "We're not going to fight that thing? Thank you, thank you, thank you." Sky pulled away from the red ranger.
B-Squad did as they were ordered and watched the battle between A-Squad and the giant robot. In which A-squad won
-SPD Base-
The B-Squad rangers stood in front of Cruger in the command base.
"I congratulate you for such noble instincts and exceptional teamwork." Cruger praised.
"Yes!" Bridge exclaims.
"But you disobeyed a direct order, the Troobians got what they wanted and now have unobstructed passage into our galaxy. Great battles lay ahead for us. You may make fine rangers one day, but today is not that day. Dismissed." The three cadets saluted while the three newbies stood there as they walked out. "I am pleased with the new members of B-Squad, but this doesn't change the fact that you committed crimes and that will have serious consequences." said Cruger.
"Excuse me?" Jack asked, surprised at hearing this. "We were giving people food and clothes; I don't see that as a crime."
"Look, we said we're sorry, what else do you want from us?" Z asked.
"Do you think you can just let us slide, just for being new here?" asked Alex. Cruger looks at him with a blank look. "Is that a yes?"
The three stood outside SPD Headquarters, staring up at the many windows of the building. "How many windows are there?" Jack questions.
"More than a hundred." said Alex.
"I have no idea." said Z. R.I.C. made a sound like a sheep, gaining the three former thieves' attention, displayed on his faceplate was the answer: 1,273.
"Looks like I was kind of right, Jack." said Alex.
"I think I liked it better when I didn't know." said Jack as he and Z stared at the windows of S.P.D. with buckets of soap and squeegees beside them. "Let's take half."
"Sounds good to me." replied Z.
"Hey Jack, why don't you switch with me helping clean Kat's lab instead while I'll help Z with this."
Jack sighed in relief and gave him a drastic hug. "You saved me." Alex shoved him off and he laughed as he left
Alex grabbed a bucket and smiled at Z. "Why don't you relax, while I finish this in a few minutes.
Z laughed at this. Now she knows why he switched places with Jack.
In the distance, the alien with the bowl was hanging upside down. "Laugh while you can, rangers." he said and started laughing.
