Dick and Bruce got home from a fairly decent night of patrol, nothing to major beyond petty criminals that peed their pants once they saw Batman and Robin coming towards them. Dick made his way over to the changing room to strip himself of his uniform into grey sweatpants and a white cotton tee. As he moved, Dick felt his body getting more sore and his limbs becoming achy and heavy. Dick started to feel off towards the end of school but brushed it off thinking that he was just tired from training and patrol. As the evening went on, his throat started to slightly hurt and he developed a minor headache but nothing too serious. Coming back out and making his way over to the batcomputer, Bruce was already changed, sipping on a cup of coffee while looking over case files. Bruce looked up as Dick approached him and noticed he was looking a little pale in the face and moving very sluggishly. Bruce asked, "Are you feeling alright? " Dick sat in his chair and turned around to face Bruce, "Not feeling whelmed, started feeling bad in history today but I didn't think it would get this bad." Bruce looked concerned and raised his hand to Dick's forehead, "It seems as if you have low-grade fever." Bruce pushed the intercom button on the console, "Yes Master Bruce?" Alfred said. "Can you bring down a thermometer and tylenol for Dick, I think he's coming down with something." Bruce said as he watched Dick lay his head down on the console. "It is flu season, Master Bruce. I will be right down sir." Alfred said. "Thanks Alfred." Bruce said as he rubbed Dick's back before turning his attention back to the screen.
Alfred retrieved the thermometer, tylenol, and a glass of water, setting them down in front of Dick. Alfred tapped Dick on the shoulder and said "Let's get your temperature Master Richard." Dick looked up and turned his head so that Alfred could put the thermometer into his ear. Alfred brought the thermometer up after a few seconds, hearing the beep. "101.2, dare I say Master Richard, you have a fever." Dick laid his head back down on the console and groaned. "Take your medicine Master Richard then we need to get you to bed." Dick took the medication set in front of him and stood up to go up to his room. Alfred put a hand on his back and started to guide him towards the elevators, "There we are, Master Richard, we shall see how you feel in the morning after a good night's sleep." Bruce watched them as they made their way over to the elevator, "Goodnight Dick, I'll check on you before I go to bed in case you need anything." Dick looked over to him tiredly, "Noapte bună tată," not realizing that he was speaking Romanian rather than English. Bruce and Alfred shared a look of concern before the elevator door closed.
Bruce rubbed a hand over his face, thinking about Dick. Dick had to feel awful for him to respond back in Romanian without realizing it. Bruce brought his hand up to his ear, "Batman to Black Canary." After a few seconds, Black Canary responded, "Black Canary to Batman, go." Bruce sat straighter in this seat, "Excuse Robin from all missions and training for the week with the team, he is coming down with something." Black Canary's concerned voice came back over the speaker, "Copy that, let me know of any further updates, Black Canary out." Bruce sat back in his chair heavily before shutting down the batcomputer for the night. Tomorrow, they needed to take a trip to see Leslie at Gotham Memorial. Bruce got the nagging feeling that this was not just some normal cold. Bruce took one more look over the batcave before making his way upstairs to check on Dick and have a needed conversation with Alfred.
Author Notes: This is my first time ever writing fanfiction, even though I have been a long time reader of fanfiction. I haven't seen any fanfiction written in the YJ universe about the COVID-19 pandemic so I thought I'd give it a shot. Please leave me reviews so I know whether not to continue this series or if I should just stick to reading instead of writing.
