Chapter 5

'Okay. Don't freak out Serilda. ' I try and remain calm as the realization about Angie settles in. 'Angie has part of Donna's cadou in her. that has to be what caused her to gain sentience. ' Sighing I send a small glare at the doll. "Don't move please." I whisper as to not make my throat hurt as bad. And I also don't feel like getting scolded by Alcina for talking. Me and Angie have a stare off for a moment before I go back to drawing her. Thankfully I hadn't drawn her arms yet, everything else is in the same position as before except her arms. When I look back at her again I facepalm myself. Angie has moved yet again, this time having her hands folded under her chin.

'I'll just finish this later...' Setting the drawing on the table I get up and stretch. A glance at the clock startles me when I see how much time has passed. 'How is it already almost 7pm?'

"Thank you Donna, you are free to join us for dinner if you would like. " At the mention of food my stomach growls loudly. Both women look over at me making me blush in embarrassment. "Yes...Well then, Donna please have what I requested done by tomorrow if possible. " Alcina takes off her glasses as she talks, setting them down on her desk before standing up.

"I will big sister. Come along Angie..." Angie giggles as she runs over to Donna, the sneaky doll grabbing the drawing of her along the way. I send a small glare at the doll as I walk towards them. Angie just laughs as she waves the drawing in the air at me. "Angie." Donna's scolding tone makes the doll freeze."

"Aww~ I was just messing with little sis!"

"No."

"Fine." Angie lets go of the paper so it falls to the floor. Sighing I lean down and pick up the drawing. Frowning a bit when I see it is all smudged now. The ink not having had enough time to dry before Angie had snatched it. "Opps."

"Sorry..." Donna places her hand on my shoulder apologetically. I shake my head giving a small half smile. Rolling up the drawing before handing it to her. My stomach growls again making Angie laugh loudly.

"Little sis's stomach sounds like a bear!"

"Let us get her fed then so that bear doesn't become any louder." Alcina says while ushering us towards the door. I glance at her when she places her large hand on my back. The tall woman having moved in between me and Donna. 'Is she upset at how close me and Donna are getting?'

"Yeah! She didn't really eat anything at lunch. " Angie pipes up from her spot in Donna's arms. "All I saw her eat was a grape!"

"Is that so?" My shoulders tense up as Alcina's eyes bore into the top of my head. "We will have to make sure she eats her dinner then." With that said me and Donna are herded towards the dining room. Alcina forcing me into the chair to her right and Donna to the one on her left. The triplets are all already there and drinking glasses of a thick red liquid.

'Not hard to guess what that is.'

"Serilda, you will eat this time do you understand me." I give the giant woman a small nod and wary smile. Hoping whatever is for dinner won't be to hard to swallow. "The only exception will be if it hurts you physically." She whispers that last part to me softly, one hand reaching up to brush her fingers across my cheek. Her actions cause the triplet to all make gaging sounds. None of them wanting to see their mother acting 'cutesy' with a human. Looking up at them I notice something that makes me freeze in place. My emerald eyes zoning in on something pinned to Cassandra's dress.

"Like my new broach, prey?" She sneers having noticed me staring at her. My hands clinch into fists in my lap as she laughs at my obvious anger. She taps the large blue heart shaped gem of the broach. "Found it last night and decided to keep it."

'Bitch.' Is all I can think as she laughs along with her sisters. 'If I react to her she will just try and hold it over me. I'll just have to wait till I can speak with Alcina.' My hand reaches up to touch my throat. An action that catches all the girls attention. Cassandra and Daniela narrowing their eyes as they stare at my neck. Thankfully the maids start bringing out the food. Everyone turning their attention to their meals. As I am eating I can feel Alcina's watchful eye on me. Any time I have to stop cause of my throat hurting, I feel her hand on my leg under the table. She isn't doing anything sensual, just subtly asking if I am alright. The first time she did this made me blush but I managed to remain calm the next few times. Other then that dinner went smoothly for the most part. I kept ignoring any attempt from Cassandra to bait me into arguing. And even got Bela to have a small conversation with me about her day. I had aimed the question at all of the triplets, but Bela was the only one to actually answer me. Daniela looked like she was going to but topped when Cassandra glared at her.

'At least this time I was able to actually eat. But I still couldn't eat everything...' I glare at the leftover steak that nearly made me choke on it. 'When my throat heals I will have my revenge senior steak.' My little stare off with my food ends when a maid takes the plate away. Looking up I realize I am the only one left in the dining room. 'I really need to stop spacing out like that.' Waving bye to the maids I quickly leave to find Alcina. 'Okay so I can't fully trust my memory of the game map. This castle is definitely a lot bigger than in the game. ' Glancing around the area I notice at least this section is familiar. And yay a calendar clock! 'This is the sitting area near were Ethan enters the castle proper for the first time.' I find myself moving to stand under the chandelier. The beautiful crystals catching the firelight creating mesmerizing light patterns around the room. As I stare up at the chandelier I start to feel strange. Everything around me is tuned out as a cold shiver runs up my spin.

'I feel...weird...Not like when I had the visions weird. More like something is telling me to run. But why should I run?'

"M-Miss?" I instantly snap out of whatever trance I was in at the voice. Turning my gaze away from the chandelier I see a maid. She has short brown hair that is held back with a hairclip, and matching brown eyes. "M'lady has asked for you to come to her private chambers. I am to assist you in changing into your night clothes."

'Uhhh...Okay then. Guess Alcina assigned me a personal maid.' Nodding my head in understanding I motion for her to lead the way.

"T-This way please." She mumbles nervously as she starts leading the way. I sigh to myself, wondering why she seems so nervous around me. We walk in silence the whole way to Alcina's bedroom. The maid holds the door open for me and I walk in feeling a little embarrassed.

'If this is going to be a normal thing I'm not sure I will like it. ' I must have made a displeased expression because the maid was quick to apologize. For what I am not even sure she knows. Waving her apology off with a small smile I point to my clothes. "I-I'll get your nightgown miss!" The scared girl quickly rushes off to get my clothes. Leaving me to stand in the middle of Alcina's room. 'Why is she never in here when I am? She actually called for me this time too.'

"Here m-miss." Groaning inwardly at the young girls voice I take the clothes from her. Shooing her away when she tries to help me change.

'No way am I letting someone else see me naked today. ' Unless that person is immortal, I can't help but add in my head. Looking down at what the maid gave me makes a tic mark appear on my head. 'This has to be Alcina's doing...' In my hands I have a thin dark plum colored silk nightgown that stops just above my knees. along with the nightgown is a pair of above the knee black socks. 'No way Donna would own something like this. Or would she?' Trying to imagine the doll maker in something like this makes me blush a bit. Shaking my head to clear it I quickly get changed. Hesitating when I reach up to take off the choker.

'Should I leave it on?' Biting my lip I lower my hand to my side. 'I'll leave it on for now...' A knock on the door makes me jump, my heart beating rapidly in my chest. The door opens just enough for the maid from earlier to poke her head inside.

"I have b-brought M'lady's and Miss's evening drinks up. She asked me to tell you that y-you don't need to wait up for her."

'The hell?' The maid quickly brings in two bottles of wine and two glasses on a tray. One of the glasses is obviously Alcina's, while the other is normal sized. At my confused look the maid starts quickly speaking. I don't really catch much other then 'Mlady will be here shortly' and something about not drinking one of the wines. The poor girl then rushes out of the room after handing me the tray. 'Why would I need a drink right now?' Looking down at the bottles of wine a sigh leaves me. 'Whatever. I'll just leave it on the coffee table then go to bed.' Carefully balancing the tray, which is easier said than done, I walk over to the table in front of the fireplace. The glasses clinking together softly as I set them down on the table. That done, I plop myself down on in one of the large chairs. Leaning my head back and closing my eyes, doing my best to relax.

'This day has been...hell. Woke up in a pretty nice way, had a vision I wish I hadn't, was nearly strangled to death by Miranda, then there is the fact Cassandra has my brooch. Meaning she has the rest of my purse contents as well. ' As I list things off in my head a frown slowly appears on my face. 'If that girl knew what was in that brooch she would use it against me. ' Tears form in the corners of my eyes at the thought of losing something so precious to me. 'No matter how upset this makes me, there is a bigger problem to deal with. Miranda... That crazy priestess will do anything to revive her daughter. And now Alcina is ticked off at her for hurting me. At least I know the timeline now, I am about 6 months away from when Miranda kidnapped Rose. When exactly did she start pretending to be Mia though? ' My mind starts to fog over with sleep as the events of the day start to catch up with me. 'So...sleepy...' Vaguely I hear the sound of the door opening followed by a buzzing noise. Cracking my eyes open just enough to see, I watch as Bela floats into the room. She is clutching something to her chest as she slowly comes towards me. The buzzing of her flies is strangely quieter then usual. I secretly watch as she carefully places what she was holding in my lap. Her task finished, Bela quickly leaves the room.

'Okay then?' When the door closes behind her I open my eyes fully. Looking down to my lap to see my purse. ' Bless that blood crazy girl!' I giggle softly as I start digging through my bag. Taking stock of what all is missing, broken, or seems messed with. 'My brooch is obviously not here and it looks like they left my medicine alone. Probably couldn't figure out how to open them.' The image of Cassandra and Daniela struggling to open the plastic bottles makes me laugh again. 'I would have loved to see that. My cellphone is still here too at least.' I quickly turn the volume all the way down and all the notifications off. 'No wifi out here sadly. And I have my charger with me. If memory serves me right, Donna's house has electricity. ' Making a mental note to try and visit Donna soon, I pack all my things back in my purse. 'Alcina is taking to long, I'm just gonna go to bed.' Stretching my arms above my head as I stand and walk over to the bed. Grumbling to myself as my short ass struggles to climb into the large bed. When I finally manage to hoist myself up onto the comfy mattress, I lay there panting for a minute.

"I am hunting down a fucking ladder tomorrow." I growl to myself while crawling under the covers. Having chosen to lay on the side of the bed closest to the balcony window doors. My eyes slowly shut as I watch the snow falling outside. Sleep claims me almost instantly into a black void. Sometime later I am awoken by someone pulling me to them. The familiar scent of honeysuckle makes me smile. Alcina's hair tickles my nose as she kisses my forehead.

"Alcina...mine..." My sleepy mumbles get a small chuckle out of the older woman. Just before I fall back asleep I hear her whisper something.

"And you are mine, draga mea.~"
