Avengers the Clone Wars Ch9: Malevolence

The Avengers had been out in a venator for about a week. They would often talk using holotables. They had been on the ship long enough to already be bored of the food.

The ships have no great way to tell time like the sun so sleep and waking is not normal. There are three shifts each 8 hours long you work one shift break another and sleep another. Steve and Sam both having military background so they started to do calisthenics in the hangar.

The first morning it caught a few eyes. You could tell since many clones just stopped to see what they were doing. They were also impressed by Steve speed when he ran. Sam could not keep up but that was not his fault. Steve did about two thousand push-ups a day. Then after that Steve started moving cargo as an exercise. This was day one.

The next day when they begin calisthenics two squads of clones joined in. After about three days there was a large number of clones joining in. In leadership it is said lead by example. It applied in this case. Sam would lead the instruction since he was not a super soldier and Steve would walk inspecting each trooper making sure they did the exercises properly. Cody was not aware of this until the sixth day he walked in the hangar while this was going on.

He caught Steve's eye. Cody asked, "What's going on? What did they do wrong?"

"Oh they did nothing wrong they were just following our example."

"What example exactly?"

"It's called calisthenics. Something from our military experience keeps us in shape when out of combat. It is very important."

"I like the idea. But you will not always be around to led it. Maybe you could teach others how to lead."

"In time. I think we will."

Cody went back to his task and Steve back to inspecting the form of the troops.

Nat spent time studying the universe. She was used to have a wealth of knowledge about how to navigate situations but she was a fish out of water here. She needed to get to know the universe as quickly as possible or become less effective at espionage.

Wanda practiced being as precise as possible with moving objects and she also practices reaction time. She was starting to become a formidable fighter.

Rhodey was working with some of the more equipment-oriented clones on changing out his guns for blasters and integrating them into the suit. He still needed to make more bombs and missiles but being able to use blasters would give him more flexible.

Clint was teaching clones the best habits for hitting their target. He was making good progress but he could only work with a small group at a time. He was also inventing new arrows for his quiver.

But while Obi-Wan and Anakin's fleets were on guard duty Plo-Koon was on the hunt for the mystery weapon. They had every scanner looking for it. They had entered the Abregado system to hunt for it. Plo-Koon had sensed a disturbance in the force it was similar to the disturbance created by the other Avengers but it had a different feel to it. The technician monitoring the scanners got a weird reading. "General I am detecting a small object with an odd energy signature."

Plo-Koon asked in his usual calm manner, "How small?"

"About our size maybe a little bigger but it is hard to tell exactly."

"Prep my fighter I will investigate."

Wolffe cautioned, "Since we are looking for a secret Separatist weapon I don't think it would be advisable for you to go."

"Your caution is understood. I have a feeling about this object. If my transponder goes dark send a shuttle but only one."

"Yes General."

Plo-Koon made his way to the hangar. He departed the venator in his fighter to go and investigate the source of the signal. The navigated the sparse asteroids with ease. The source of the signal had passed behind a large asteroid so he flew around it. And what he saw was a man just floating in space. Plo-Koon was perplexed a human could not survive space yet this felt as if it were alive. The Force told him so.

He called a shuttle to go and pick this up. Of course, it was done with great care seeing as this could be something unexpected. The body was brought to the Venator and placed in a medical cell that was kept locked and guarded. There were medical droids to assess the body to the man.

The droids had not encountered any being like this. They could not draw blood nor get an sample. The scanners did not seem to work properly.

Scene Break

The man had been there for a few shifts now still nothing. They had already stopped trying to pock and prod it.

Plo-Koon was meditating now he felt that the force in the being suddenly shifted. Plo-Koon stood up and calmly walked to the cell. He opened it and the man was sitting up as the medical droid told him to be calm.

The man looked up and it seemed to take him a second to realize he was looking at an alien.

Plo-Koon introduced himself, "I am General Plo-Koon of the Galactic Republic and you are?"

The man had a few questions first though, "How did I get here?"

"We found you in space just floating."

"So you brought me in without caution then?"

"No, this door is locked and we have you under guard. We do not know who you are. Some precautions had to be put in place."

The man was quiet for a second, "You can call me Vision."

Plo-Koon almost froze, "You're an Avenger then."

"Who are the Avengers?" Vision was being cautious.

"They are friends."

"In that case yes I am one."

"I believe they talked about you as an android is that correct."

"Yes" Vision then transformed into his android form.

"Come you are not our prisoner if fact you have been promoted to Martial Commander."

"By whose authority?"

"Steve Rogers negotiated an alliance with the Republic. As a part of the alliance all Avengers are now Martial Commanders."

They exited the cell.

Plo-Koon relieved the troopers of their guard duty. "Troopers this man is not a threat. He is a commander officer."

The troopers responded, "Sir yes Sir." They both went to attend to other duties.

Vision queried, "You are not human are you?"

"No I am Kel-Dor. You will encounter many non-humans throughout the galaxy but I think we should contact some humans you would know."

"I think we should as well."

"Follow me. May I ask what is that in your forehead?"

"That is an infinity stone. The Mind Stone to be exact. It is what gives me power."

"We could not take any samples of tissue why is that?"

"I am made of vibranium."

"Vibranium? I am not familiar with the metal. In fact I have never heard of it."

As they were walking Vision was attracting some perplexed stares from the clones.

"It is a metal from Wakanda. In fact, you may meet the King of Wakanda since he is an Avenger. Its qualities are unmatched. It is a valuable material. You said you were a general. You do not seem to be the military type?"

"That may be since I am a Jedi."

"A Jedi? I am unfamiliar with this."

"Jedi study the force. It exists in all living things. Without it life would not exist. The Jedi are an ancient order. The study of the force allows us to use certain abilities as well."

"Does the Force exist in me?"

"It does. But it is different not something I could easily describe."

"You seem like a religious order, is that correct?"

"Yes, from a certain point of view."

"Then why are you generals."

"There was no one else this is the first war in a thousand years."

"Peace for that long seems amazing yet unrealistic."

"Yes but it happened."

"This war what is it?"

"You and I are a part of the Galactic Republic. We are fighting a group of rogue systems called the Separatist Alliance led by the Sith Lord Count Dooku."

"Sith?"

"The opposition to the Jedi tens of thousands of years of history between us."

"Mostly war I am presuming."

"Yes."

They entered an elevator shaft to go up to the bridge.

"I hear you all have special abilities. What are yours?"

"I am indestructible. I can fly at will. I can regulate my density and become in tangible I can also fire a beam form the infinity stone. What about a Jedi?"

"Oh, we have premonition. The ability to move things with are mind."

They approached the Holo table.

"If you will give a moment. I shall see if I can contact Steve Rogers."

He activated the table and a clone appeared. "Commander Cody would you put me through to Steve Rogers I have someone who would like to see him."

"Yes Sir."

A moment later Steve appeared. Vision greeted him, "Captain Rogers It is good to see your face."

Steve face changed when he heard the recognizable voice of Vision, "It is good to see you as well. You make eleven found so far."

"Has Mr. Stark been found yet?"

"No, he has not. That is why we are out though we are looking for the rest of our team. Unfortunately, our fleets are not close enough for you come just yet. So, you shall stay on Plo-Koon's Venator for the moment."

Plo-Koon was asked to look at something by one of the clone technicians station in the bridge.

"That is alright I think we shall have a chance."

Plo-Koon came back. He tapped a few buttons on the console and a few more Jedi appeared. "Generals as it appears we have found our prey. We wished to notify you before we engage. We are in the Abregado system"

"Good Luck Master." Said Ahsoka.

"Thank you little one." The image started to flicker and went out.

A clone announced, "We are being jammed sir."

Vision inquired, "What are we hunting exactly?"

"A secret Separatist ship that has been destructive in these past weeks to say the least. We are looking at it."

Vision levitated over to the view port. "That is one large ship."

A Clone said, "We are seeing a large power surge. The must be charging something."

"Are we in range to fire?" Plo-Koon calmly replied.

"No."

Then the enemy vessel released a large circle of energy.

Plo-Koon yelled, "Brace for impact."

The disk enveloped the fleet disabling all energy.

"An ion cannon."

The large ship approached and rained fire on one the other two venators utterly obliterating them. Vision was frozen for a second the ion energy had interfered with him a little. But he was back to normal. "We need to evacuate now or we are all dead"

Plo-Koon yelled, "To the escape pods."

All the clones rushed to enter and leave the Venator before it was blown up.

Vision explained, "I do not need air."

"Then come with us."

They both jumped in and the escape pod fired out save all their lives…for the moment.

Scene Break

On the bridge of the Malevolence General Grievous paced around. And Count Dooku stood in the middle.

Grievous was pleased, "Another of their fleets destroyed."

"Yes, but there were escape pods. We do want to keep this a secret."

"Yes, Count Dooku," Grievous turned to the droids, "Send out the pod hunters. I want no one left alive."

"Roger, Roger"

Scene Break

Their pod was adrift in the debris field.

Sinker informed them, "We will only last so long the atmospheric systems are down. And with a fifth person breathing air. We won't last long."

"I am an android I do not need to breath. Nor do I need Oxygen."

"Oh well we have longer then."

Boost was not thrilled by what he had to say next. "Coms are fired. We cannot call for help. Do you believe someone will come looking for us sir." This question was directed at Plo-Koon.

"I believe they will. But we must increase their chances of find us see if you can get a signal alive."

Vision chimed in, "I may not know how things work but I phase through objects I may be able to help."

Vision made his way over to the comms console.

Scene Break

Anakin reported to the council. We lost contact with Plo-Koon's fleet in the Abregado system. It looks like they were destroyed. I was thinking that it may be helpful to look for survivor since they would know what we were up against."

Mace Windu stroked his chin, "I see what you are saying but the convoys are our main priority going to look would leave them vulnerable."

Ahsoka spoke up, "But we have to go look for them. Some of them could die if we don't."

Anakin reprimanded her, "Ahsoka!"

The Chancellor tried to calm the situation down, "Unfortunately we don't have the resources to look for them."

The transmission ended. Anakin looked at Rex, "Have my ship prepared. Also notify the Avengers. They may want to come along."

Ahoska wondered, "Where are we going?"

"To look for survivors."

"But you said."

Anakin cut her off, "My fleet is staying right where it needs to be. But it is the right thing to do."

Scene break

The Twilight exited the hangar on it was Anakin, Ahsoka, and R2-D2. Along with them were Rhodey, Wanda, and Clint. They jumped into hyperspace towards the Abregado system.

Scene Break

In the Abregado system the pod had its coms back online this meant that at least they now could be found. Boost looked out the window, "Hey look another pod."

Plo-Koon promptly used the force to put its view port into view. There were still survivors in it.

Vision suggested, "I can fly over there to ensure that they are alright."

Sinker wondered, "But how are gonna do that."

"You see trooper I do not need a door." Vision phased through the viewport.

He checked on the other pod. They were still living but comms were down so he fixed them to generate a second signal as he was leaving the pod he saw a ship. He joined Plo-Koon. "We are not alone. There are robots out there."

"Those droids must be pod hunters."

"Shall I destroy them?"

"That would alert the battleship of our presence. Instead I suggest you draw them away to avoid us being seen."

"That is a good idea." Vision took of towards the ship.

He flew by them. One of the droids went, "What was that?"

The commander said, "Follow it. The general want no survivors."

The pod hunter ship followed vision some ways. But the two undestroyed pods were in view to them so they went to go and do their job. Vision realized he had failed.

The pod hunters attacked the second pod first. They were starting to squeeze it.

Vision floated in, "Gentlemen"

The droid commander yelled, "Blast em'"

These droids were not match for Vision he lasered one. Punched the other two and finally he phased through the commander killing it from the inside.

Scene Break

Aboard the twilight all sensors were looking for a distress call. They didn't need one when they saw a yellow beam cut through something. Hope seemed to flood into Wanda's attitude. Anakin maneuvered the ship, Ahsoka opened the hatch she was about to fire the cable when Wanda brought both pods in using here powers.

They both hit the gravity field and dropped to the floor. Vision and Rhodey pried the view ports off. There were now seven clone and a Kel-Dor general in the ship. The back hatch close. Vision and Plo-Koon joined the others in the cock pit.

Plo-Koon said with urgency, "We had better get out of here we just destroyed a pod hunter meaning they will be back."

Anakin said, "I'm on it."

The twilight took off navigating the debris field. The sensors picked up something coming out of hyperspace.

Plo-Koon announced, "Looks like our friends have arrived. Turn everything off."

Vision countered, "I cannot be turn off. They would likely detect me the best move would be to get our of here."

Anakin responded, "In that case hold on."

The twilight took off again but faster this time. It really took a Jedi to navigate the debris field. The Malevolence fired its ion cannon at them.

Anakin yelled, "R2 program the navi-computer. I want to jump as soon as we are clear of the debris field."

The ion cannons blast was steadily getting closer until it was inches away. Wanda shielded the ship with her energy. It passed over the ship. But the twilight was not disabled. Anakin dived around the and made the jump to hyperspace.

Scene Break

Back on Obi-Wan's ship they made a plan everyone on the twilight was there. Anakin started the briefing, "This ship uses a massive ion cannon that can disable whole fleets. That is why it is so effective. The cannons range our matches anything we have on star destroyers but fighter and bombers could out maneuver it."

Obi-Wan asked, "Are you suggesting we destroy the battle ship with just a few bombers?"

Steve chimed in, "Unfortunately none of the Avengers know how to fly yet so we would no be much use."

"Well bombers have gunners. If you're a good shot you would be welcome there. Smaller ships will be able to reach the target faster since we believe they are targeting this medical station."

Steve thought out loud, "I will go, Sam, Rhodey you want in?"

"And miss out and opportunity to shot things. I am in." Sam Affirmed.

"Well as War Machine doesn't have a hyperdrive yet I think I'll sit this one out."

Vision stepped up, "I shall take his place."

"If you're talking about aiming I'm your man." Clint said.

"Well then us four will go along in the bombers." Steve finalized.

Anakin continued his briefing, "The Avengers, myself, my padawan, Plo-Koon and, Shadow squadron will take a short cut to try and disable to the Malevolence before it can destroy the medical station. Obi-Wan will take our combined fleet to go the long route. He is plan B. Any questions?" Anaking paused, "Good the strike force will have a more detailed briefing of our mission in the hangar."

Scene Break

Assembled in the hangar was shadow squadron, Sam, Steve, Vision, Clint, and Plo-Koon.

R2 had a hologram of the ship up.

Anakin explained the plan. "Our goal is to neutralize the ship. Our target the bridge that way we can cripple the ship and take out General Grievous. Our approach will be straight on. Plo-Koon you seem concerned?"

Plo-Koon responded, "I worry that this strategy may be too bold."

Steve agreed, "Based on our read outs the number of turbo lasers between here and there is astounding it also means we are likely to be killed."

Matchstick stood up, "Shadow Squadron is one of the best in the Republic sir. Maximum destruction minimal causalities."

"I understand that but even with a fantastic track record this mission may still be too much for even you."

Anakin concluded, "Unless you have a better idea this is what we will do." He paused, "Troops dismissed prep your ships. Avengers here are your assignments."

Scene Break

The squadron was made up of 22 Y-wing bombers and one Jedi starfighter piloted by Plo-Koon. They left the hangar and then jumped to hyperspace.

They squadron left hyperspace right outside of a nebulae.

Anaking explained, "Our short cut is through here. Your scanners won't work as normal. This is old school flying."

They ships entered the nebulae. Clint asked, "How did you come to know about this short cut?"

"It's an old smugglers route. Where I grew up they would talk about it occasionally. I was able to find it once I was a Jedi."

Vision commented, "No object from Earth has ever entered a nebulae before."

They flew for some time.

Vision's pilot struck up conversation, "So I couldn't help but notice that you don't look human?"

"Yes, I am in human form but I am an android."

"Were you ever a human?"

"No, I has an AI called Jarvis before I was melded into this body."

"Huh."

Ahsoka broke the silence between ships. I am picking up something on my scanners and another and another."

Plo-Koon urgently asked, "What is the name of the smugglers route?"

"Balmora Run"

"We have to turn back this the nesting ground for the giant Nebrae Mantis."

Vision asked, "Wait are you saying that there are creatures who live inside nebulae?"

"Yes, and they are quite large."

One came into view.

Clint quipped, "Steve this remind you of anything particular. "

Steve replied, "Those leviathans over New York."

Anakin commanded the pilots, "Form up in a single file line behind me."

"Sir yes sir"

Soon all the bombers were in a single line dodged and weaving through these massive creatures.

They soon reached the edge of the Nebulae. The medical center came into view. They were just in the nick of time since the Malevolence dropped out of hyperspace.

Anakin yelled, "Squadron in formation."

The malevolence had time to attack and destroy multiple transports before turning its attention to the strike team. The Malevolence charged and fired its ion cannon at the squadron. The formation flew as fast as it could to avoid the ever expanding ion blast. Two bombers were caught in the radius.

The squadron began their approach. Vulture droids swarmed them. Clint and Vision were having impeccable aim while San and Steve had only excellent aim.

They were now flying over the ship as time went on more and more bombers went down. The ship started to charge its ion cannon.

Plo-Koon knew that they did not have enough time to destroy the ship by hitting its bridge. He also knew that Anakin was blind to that fact.

Plo-Koon spoke up, "We need to come up with a different plan."

Anakin responded, "We don't have time!"

Ahsoka sided with Plo-Koon, "Master maybe you could make but the clones can't."

Plo-Koon suggested, "If we bomb the ion weapon it could overload it and cripple the ship."

Anakin paused for a second, "Squadron you heard him. Let's hit those cannons."

The squadron maneuvered around and dropped their bombs. The ship misfired leading to catastrophic damage. Many main systems of the ship were damaged but most importantly the hyperdrive. Then Obi-Wan showed up with the fleet and started to engage.

Scene Break

As the squadron disengaged and landed in one of the venators, General Grievous stood back up from being knocked down,

He yelled in his harsh mechanical voice, "Statis report."

One of the B1 battle droids at one of the consoles reported, "Main weapon heavily damaged, engine damage, The hyperdrive is malfunctioning." At each of these Grievous became more and more aggravated.

He commanded, "Get the hyperdrive fixed! Now!"

"Roger, Roger"

Count Dooku entered the bridge. "How come our prized ship is heavily damaged?"

"I do not know. Repairs on the hyperdrive are underway. We will be gone shortly."

"My master is sending us a gift, A Senator of the Galactic Republic. we are to bring the senator aboard. That way they will stop firing."

"When shall this senator arrive?"

"Soon."

"We will be ready."

"Yes, we shall."

Scene Break

Aboard the flagship venator all the Avengers present and the Jedi were standing looking out at the main viewport.

Obi-Wan commented, "Anakin it look's like your strike mission was success. Now it is time to see how much fire this ship takes before being destroyed."

Vision wondered, "Clint how did you get more vulture droids than me?"

"I think I have had a lot of practice. You may be a walking computer but I am a marksman with many more years of experience."

Anakin was starring at Vision, "So is he a droid or what?"

"I am an android. Built by Ultron but hijacked by Mr. Banner and Mr. Stark."

"You seem so proper why is that?"

"I am based off and AI that was based off an English butler."

"You don't talk like a machine."

"No, I believe that has something to do with this." Vision pointed to the Mind Stone, "Its name is the mind stone. It is an infinity stone."

Then two small ships came out of hyperspace by the Malevolence. Neither of them were military craft from either side.

Scene Break

About fifteen minutes earlier in our galaxy the Milano was leaving the atmosphere of a planet. The Guardians had a job it was just a few jumps away. Aboard the ship was Peter Quill, Gamora, Drax, Groot (full size), Rocket, and Nebulae.

Through their multiple jumps they happened to pass the place where the Avengers got transported to. The blast hit them just as the they were entering their next jump this knock them into hyperspace. None of them were knocked out. Quill and Rocket were piloting.

Rocket worriedly asked, "Quill what did you just do. This isn't supposed to look like this."

Quill responded confused, "I was doing nothing the ship was on course. Our nav has no clue where are. Do you think we could drop out of this?"

"There is a shot. Our best bet would be to turn off the engine. I'll go and see if that works."

Rocket left his pilot seat. He and Nebulae went to the back of the Milano. They shut off all the power to the ship. They started to slow down and then they were out of it. What they saw next was the Malevolence.

Rocket asked from the back, "Did it work?"

Gamora replied, "It worked but you might want to see this. I have rarely seen ships that large."

Quill commented "and it looks like we are in a war zone."

Rocket and Nebulae came back up to the front. "Well, that is some battleship looks pretty damaged. We should probably leave before we get blown to bits."

Quill said, "Looks like we are receiving a transmission. Should I answer?"

Rocket replied, "As long as nothing happens to us I think it may be a good idea seeing as our nav cannot find where we are."

Scene Break

Aboard the Senators ship was Padme Amidela and C3-PO. They were hailing the Republic fleet.

Anaking came through the comms, "What are you doing out here this is a warzone?"

Padme Responded, "I was on a special mission for the chancellor. He must have had bad information." The ship jolted, "And now I'm being pulled in. Don't stop firing. This battleship must be destroyed."

The communications broke up now that they were being jammed.

Scene Break

In the Malevolence's bridge a droid asked, "Sir two small ships just came out of hyperspace."

"Count Dooku only said one we must be sure to get the senator. Pull them both in."

"Roger, Roger"

Scene Break

Aboard the Venator Admiral Yularen hailed the unknown ship. "This is Admiral Yularen of the Galactic Republic. This is an active warzone you need to leave. Do you copy?"

A voice responded, "Yeah we hear you. We kind of cannot leave our nav is all sorts of messed up. And what now why are flying into that ship. Uh oh got to go."

Plo-Koon came over to the table, "I sense something strange about that ship. I wonder it they are related to the Avengers."

Clint answered part of the question, "The only ship we had was the quinjet. Unless our enemies had ships that were caught in the blast… All I know is we have no clue where they are from."

Obi-Wan chimed in, "That is odd I they feel the same way in the force that all of you did when you entered our universe. It so far has not been wrong. Maybe this ship is from your universe. You still may not know who it is."

Anakin was quick to end this conversation, "Well no matter who they are we have a senator to retrieve. I say we send a strike team. The enemies sensors are likely on the fritz and they probably won't be monitoring them too closely. That means we can just slide right in dock and enter."

Obi-Wan responded, "Anakin you would be taking a lot a chances with that plan are you sure you want to go through with this?"

"Yes, I am sure."

"Well, I had better go with you. That way you won't get yourself into a scrape."

Wanda, Vision, Steve, and Nat all volunteered to go as well.

Scene Break

The Twilight was able to dock with an emergency airlock on the Malevolence. It seemed they didn't even notice. Anakin and Steve were going to look for Padme. Vision and Obi-Wan were going to see if they could disable the hyperdrive. Nat and Wanda were going to see if they could find the other ship.

The Malevolence was so large that is required a system of trains to move things around quick enough. On one of those trains stood Grievous going to collect the senator. Meanwhile Padme rigged the ship to blown up and hid off to the side behind some boxes. She saw Grievous enter and then run out as an explosion shook the hangar. It was at this point that Padme and C-3P0 made there way into the corridors.

The Guardians of the Galaxy were already hatching a plan to escape. Drax and Groot would protect the Ship. Peter and Gamora would see if they could get navigation info from the ship they were aboard finally Rocket and Nebulae were going to see if they could unlock the ship and allow it to fly.

Scene Break

Count Dooku also sensed the strangeness of the force around the individuals in the second ship. He took a group of battle droids to go and investigate. He entered the hangar.

"Form a perimeter around the ship."

"Roger, Roger"

"And you two board the ship."

"Roger, Roger"

The droids did as were told. Count Dooku stood in front and was visible from the cockpit. The two droids boarded the ship. Peter Quill looked noticed them as he was planning and took them out.

"Alright new plan we take the robots and take their leader hostage." He said that as he looked over at Count Dooku. "Rocket you take care of him. Drax, Groot get rid of those robots."

Groot and Drax were the first to leave the Milano. Drax was armed with a rifle and started to blast the droids. Groot just knocked the droids to pieces or separated them into pieces using his plant growing.

Nebulae and Gamora came out. Peter went to start distracting Dooku. Dooku was easily able to deflect his shots. Nebulae and Gamora draw their swords dealt with a battle droid or two then engaged Dooku. The lightsaber could not cut their swords immediately this allowed them to block. They were able to knock Dooku's saber from his hand. It flew off the side and clattered. They had him pinned. Just when they thought they had him his lightsaber flew back to him and they had to do this again. Just when Rocket had a shot, Dooku asked him, "Who are you anyway?"

Rocket responded, "We're the frickin' Guardians of the Galaxy." Rocket pulled the trigger. Dooku was stunned. Drax and Groot protected him. Dooku was bound and gagged. Peter, Rocket, Nebulae, and Gamora then left the hangar to go and attend to their duties.

Scene Break

Rocket and Nebulae slowly walked down the hallway. They were both armed with guns. Of course Nebulae still had her retractable sword. They were careful to check corners at any intersection. At one of the intersections Rocket peeked around the corner, "Look's like we have a squad. This should be fun." Rocket primed his weapon and both of them wordlessly rounded the corner and opened fire.

Rocket couldn't help but comment, "Man these robots do not know how to shoot."

Nebulae responded, "It gives us an advantage."

A door opened in the side of the hallway and a droid came out. It looked at them and stated, "Halt…" but before it could finish it was already a scrap heap.

"Oo lots of flashing lights look's like a control room. Let's see if we can unlock our ship."

Both of them started to activate and prod each of the consoles. Rocket brought up a hologram of the ship. "Well this is some ship. Look at its fire power." He was looking over the schematics, "It disables ships and then rips them to shreds. I like it."

Nebulae went back to the console and brought up and in ship communication which showed up on the hologram. A female voice said, "We are aboard the ship if you can hear me please come in."

Then there was a response from a male voice, "We hear you Senator Amedala. We are currently on our way to your position."

Nebulae commented, "They stopped firing on the ship when her ship entered. if she leaves they will resume with us inside."

"I cannot make heads or tales of their script but maybe she could help us and it seems that communication was nearby."

Scene Break

After their conversation with Padme Anakin and Steve made there way toward the center of the ship as Padme did the same. It seemed like Nat and Wanda were also heading in the same direction as well so they stayed together.

Wanda and Anakin were able to make quick work of any droid squads they encountered. They soon reached the large space and realized it was a train hub not easily crossable. Anakin contacted Obi-Wan, "Look's like there are trains on this ship. They could help you reach they hyperdrive."

Obi-Wan responded, "Thanks for the tip."

But unknown to them their communication was also being heard by General Grievous.

General Grievous commanded, "Lay a trap at the hyperdrive."

"Roger, Roger"

Scene Break

Padme and C-3PO were making their way towards the rendezvous point. Little was she aware she was being tracked by Nebulae and rocket.

They approached a door to the big train depot. Anakin was able to spot her and the rescue crew made their way to the door.

Padme was about to start running and jump when she heard a gruff voice behind her say, "Hold it right there."

Padme turned around to see a small furry creature and a blue skinned humanoid female. "What are you, bounty hunters?"

"No, our ship was pulled in and we need to get off this ship before it is destroyed. Except your tech is weird and we don't know how to use it. So, I am asking nicely."

"What if I say no?"

"My friend here will outrun you. She also is absurdly skilled."

Padme started to run but Nebulae was ready and pulled her back before she was able to jump. Nebulae took her weapon away and put her in cuffs. They started to head back to the control room.

They made some distance when Anakin, Nat, Wanda, and Steve. Entered the hallway and started chasing after them.

Rocket contacted Quill, "We need some help we have company."

Quill responded, "On my way."

The chase continued. Steve was quickly catching up. Nebulae turned around to face him and they started to fight hand to hand. Nebulae was quick even for Steve. Steve knocked the gun from her hand. She flipped over him and landed extending her god killer sword. Steve brought his shield up to defense position. They clashed. This fighting went on for a little longer. The other in group were now very close Wanda was about to change the tide of battle. When she was struck by a shock blast from Quill.

Anakin dodged the other and then clashed with Gamora. Nat went after Quill but he was able to shock her. All three then disengaged and ran for the hangar. The Avengers and Anakin were not far behind but they were far enough to see the ship take off and leave the hangar.

Anakin talked into his comm, "The Senator has been taken by a group of bounty hunters who just left the ship. Can you track them?"

There was no response from the Republic fleet. Obi-Wan responded, "Get back to the ship we will destroy the hyperdrive and meet you back there. No reason to stay."

The group headed back across the ship to the Twilight.

Scene Break

Vision and Obi-Wan were approaching the hyperdrive. A ship this large needs a massive hyperdrive. This was the hyperdrive control room.

Vision asked, "So this hyperdrive if we are able to sabotage it means they will not be able to leave."

"Well yes that is the plan anyway. And then our fleet rips this ship to shreds."

The now entered a large walkway to the control room in the center was the control panels and a few droids. They were walked steadily but quietly. Obi-Wan ignited his azure lightsaber since they were almost within striking distance of the droids. Then suddenly from the three bridges came multiple B1 and B2 battle droids as well as a handful of droidekas. General grievous dropped down behind them. He started, "Hello there."

"General Grievous, how kind of you to join us. We were just thinking of you."

General Grievous ignited a blue and green lightsaber and started to duel with Obi-Wan. Vision for safety had already made himself look as though he was a human. He started to duel the droids. There blaster bolts did nothing to him. He transitioned into his hero form and started to rip through droids his laser had a devastating effect on them. No droid was a match for the powerhouse that was vision. In the process vision disabled the massive hyperdrive in an unrepairable way.

Grievous and Obi-Wan were still dueling along the center pathway. Obi-Wan was already winning. Grievous knew he was losing and made a break for it. Vision levitated after him. They were now moving down enclosed hallways. Grievous close a down to prevent stop Vision. Vision phased through the door much to Grievous's surprise. He was clearly aggravated and made his way to his ship which he departed in.

Obi-Wan and Vision made their way quickly to the Twilight. Once the Twilight unlocked from the Malevolence, the Republic fleet began firing upon it again. It was now only a matter of time until the Malevolence was destroyed. But the Avengers and the Jedi had a bigger problem. A group of rogue bounty hunters has a Galactic senator.
