Happy Easter Everyone!!

This little Fic came to me while talking to another AO3 Fanfic writer I go to church with and i just couldn't let it go, so hear it is.

Easter or any Holiday in the McGarrett House for the least 20 years has been non-existent, since his mum faked her death and his Dad sent him and his sister away the house has been devoid of children running around screaming, looking for hidden Easter Eggs, abandon of family gathered on the lanai eating lots of food and hanging out swimming all day.

One of the few things Steve can happily say came out of his father's unfortunate death was the Ohana he has built around himself over the last four years, he hasn't had this much family around him in his life he's pretty sure.

It's nice to wake up with his girlfriend, it's even better to wake up and be able to do his usual morning exercise routine with said girlfriend, but the icing on the cake is finishing his morning exercise, coming into the house, and finding all his friends have let themselves in and have already made breakfast ready to eat laid out on the kitchen table.

"Brah, this looks amazing you guys didn't have to do all this" Steve says as he moves through the kitchen toward the fridge for his usual wheat grass smoothy.

"Yeah we did Babe, heard from a few reliable sources that you my poor Orphan SEAL haven't had a proper Easter since you were a child, so you may be a bit big to make up for not being held, but we can make up for your missed Easters" Danny quipped.

"Ha Ha, your hilarious Pal, but Thank You guys so much, I appreciate the effort" Steve responded his voice cracking slightly at the end of the sentence.

"You know Baby, Danny may think you're to big to be held anymore, but I would disagree with him" Siobhan announced from behind as she wrapped her arms around Steve's waist from behind and started kissing her way up his back and across his shoulders.

"Really, you think so?" Steve asked as he turned around to face Siobhan wrapping his arms around her waist, leaning down to kiss her, happily allowing Siobhan to deepen the kiss while moving his hands down her back landing and resting over her ass, swallowing the moan Siobhan lets out when he squeezes.

A series of coughs behind them bring me crashing back to earth, turning, and looking sheepishly at their gathered crowd who were chuckling amongst themselves, while

Danny is just staring at them with a disapproving father look on his face.

"Get a room, the pair of you, uhh" Danny states as he turns back to the stove shaking his head fondly.

"Come on brah, there aint nothin' wrong with a little PDA" Kono added with a wry grin on her face.

"A little PDA? Let me tell you, that- that was not a little PDA, that was heading straight for bedroom specific activities." Danny happily informed everyone with his back to them waving the spatula around over his shoulder.

"So, what's the plan here Danny, I thought you were supposed to have Grace this weekend? Aren't you supposed to pick her up soon?" Chin asked, saving everyone from further embarrassment.

"Why yes, I do have my perfect little Monkey this weekend, Rachel has graciously offered to have her dropped off at her beloved Uncle Steve's place for an Easter Egg Hunt with her favourite adoptive Aunts and Uncles" Danny cheerfully explained.

"Wait Egg Hunt, I haven't set up anything for Easter" Steve exclaimed.

"Way ahead of you my emotionally stunted 'I was never held as a child' friend, I already contacted the Easter Bunny and had him graciously prepare an Easter Egg Hunt for you two." Danny gleefully explained.

"I will have you know I was held as a child, I have the photos to prove it, and when did you do that, because last I checked I haven't left the house in the last 2 days, I think I would have noticed you sneaking around planting eggs on my property" Steve questioned.

"That my friend is 'classified' on a strictly need to know bases and you don't need to know, besides photos can be photoshopped." Danny retorted on his way to answer the door and let Grace in.

"UNCLE STEVE!" Gracie yelled as she ran through the front door, dropping her bag at her father's feet and heading for the kitchen with something to show Steve.

"Hey Gracie, what have you got there?" Steve asked as he picked Grace up.

"It's an Easter Egg Uncle Steve, it was on your driveway, look it has my name on it!" she squealed as she shoved the large multi coloured egg so close to Steve's face he had to go cross eyed to see it.

"That's very pretty Grace" Steve replied as he pooped her back on the ground so she could show the egg around.

"Okay Monkey what you say we let SuperSEAL put a shirt on and then you two can go start your egg hunt uhh?" Danny asked from his new spot by the lanai doors with a pair of woven baskets in his hands.

"Okay!! Hurry Uncle Steve!" Grace yelled across the room.

"Alright, alright I'm hurrying" Steve chuckled as he headed upstairs. As Steve headed upstairs the others gathered around Danny.

"Okay, here's the plan folks. It's pretty simple: Siobhan you follow Steve and Grace around and help with the hunt, I will follow around and snaps some sneaky photos and I need Chin and Kono to start setting up lunch and letting people in around midday. Got it?" Danny whispered as he explained the plan- one can never be to careful with a sneaky Ninja SEAL running around without a bell on- to the group.

As if on cue Steve bounded back into the kitchen area with a loose-fitting old Navy singlet on.

"Okay Grace let's go look for some eggs" Steve stated as he crossed the kitchen to the lanai.

"Hold it you two, you didn't think I would leave you two to tear up Uncle Steve's yard did you? No, I have some clues and activities for you complete to help you find you eggs, and don't even start with me McGarrett enjoy it and let your inner child out" Danny said as he handed them a piece of paper with instructions on them.

"Each one will give you a clue on where to look, so no cheating" Danny mildly scolded. "Ready?" Danny asked as he opened the lanai doors.

"Set" both participants got ready to run.

"GO!!!" and both were out the door in a flash.

As Steve, Grace, Siobhan, and Danny headed out the lanai doors the cousins went back into the house to prepare the food for lunch and get the back deck ready.

As the cousins moved around the house and lanai they caught the occasional glance in the groups direction, often catching Steve in the middle of rolling his eyes while starting to do something hilarious and slightly embarrassing for a full-grown man to do, with Grace, who was laughing and giggling away the whole time.

As midday arrived the Lou showed up with the wife and kids and plenty of drinks for everyone.

"Yo Chin, where's McGarrett at?" Lou asked as he headed onto the lanai to put the drinks on ice.

"Never mind I found him!" Lou shouted back into the house over his shoulder as he turned back to watch 5-0's fearless leader and Ex-Navy SEAL trying and failing to successfully complete a three- legged race with a 12-year-old girl. Lou watched as Steve started losing his balance then toppled very un-gracefully over Grace in an attempt not to land on her and Squish Danny's pride and joy, in the end both Ex-Navy SEAL and small child land in a pile on the ground with Grace sprawled out under her Uncle Giggling and squirming.

"Uncle Steve!!! Your squishing me! MOVE!" Grace squealed.

"Sorry Gracie, I'm trying, but your father keeps pushing me over again!" Steve replied as he grabbed Danny around the waist and tackled him onto the ground next Grace.

"HEY!!! Watch the hair! Uh!!" Danny squawked as he tried getting out from under Steve.

"You mean this hair?" Steve asked innocently as he rolled over and ruffled Danny's meticulous hair do.

As Steve jumped to his feet he gave Siobhan a few handle signals and stood at opposite ends of Danny and scooped him up and headed for the shoreline, Grace dutifully following behind with the abandon camera in her hands recording the whole event.

"HEY!! Put me down! Right NOW! This is not funny, CHIN!! KONO!! Someone HELP ME!!!" Danny protested and screamed up the beach toward the house, which only served to gather a crowd at the back deck to watch as they swung Danny twice then let him go and watched him plop down in the water with a mighty splash.

Danny rose back to the surface sputtering and coughing as he stood, slacks and previously tucked in dress shirt dripping yet, hair a mess sticking to every where on his head and tie flung back over his shoulder. As Danny plodded up the beach glaring at Steve and Siobhan, who both had the decency to look at least a little guilty but mostly extremely pleased with themselves, and into the house making plans to leave his wet and sandy clothes spread out on their bed to dry. He came back down 20 minutes later dressed in jeans, a plain white tee and thongs, hair wrangled back into its original style.

Returning to the back deck and sitting in the sunbed by the door he spotted Grace and Steve back at their Easter Egg Hunt and Siobhan still following with the camera, except now they've been joined by Will and Samantha Grover.

As the afternoon moved on more friends and guests arrived, including Max, Duke Lukela, Kamekona (and a butt load of shrimp) and Adam Noshimuri all bringing a bowl of food or a snack for everyone.

With everyone gathered on the lanai or grass out the back, food was slowly served and shared around the group, most people had a beer or glass of wine and the kids all had soft drink, cordial or water.

By the time late afternoon arrived and dinner was ready to be served everyone had started to migrate over to the extra-long set of tables that had been set up. With everyone settled the food started drifting out and being shared up and down the table.

With the whole loud hustle and bustle of people chatting, food on the move and glasses clinking it made it hard to imagine the place was ever as empty and lonely as it once had been. After everyone had what they wanted Steve stood from his position at the head of the table next to Siobhan and tapped his beer bottle to get everyone's attention.

"I would like to thank everyone for coming over today and filling the house, for the first time in over 20 years this house has a family occupying it, until today I never really stopped to appreciate just how lucky I am to have everyone at this table and consider them family and hopefully be considered family as well. And a special thank you to my partner Danny Williams and girlfriend Siobhan for being sneaky enough to organise this without me noticing, you two are a pair of truly sneaky bastard's, but I love you anyway" Steve toasted "To Ohana!"

"Ohana!!" everyone re-iterated as they clinked glasses with everyone near them. Sitting back down everyone dove into heir food and enjoyed the rest of the night. After dinner was finished and desert had been served everyone started drifting off home around 11pm.

By midnight only Steve, Siobhan and Danny were left, Grace was asleep in the guest room, after finishing cleaning up the chairs and tables, plates, and cups they went and sat on the chairs where backyard meets beach with a beers in hand, Danny sat in his usual chair and Steve sat next to him with Siobhan sitting in his lap.

"So how did you manage to organise and hide all those eggs without me noticing?" Steve questioned.

"Easy I gave you a very enticing distraction for the weekend, one I knew you couldn't resist" Danny replied as he turned slightly and winked at Steve.

After a minute of thinking back over the weekend it dawned on Steve just exactly what Danny meant by a 'very enticing distraction' he couldn't resist, the little pint-sized bastard had used his own girlfriend against him.

"You bastard you used Siobhan against me, that's mean man" Steve chided, but Danny just laughed and shrugged.

"Mean? Yes, but totally worth it to see the look on your face when you found those eggs in your Dad's Marquis." Danny said as he pulled out his phone and showed Steve the photo of the exact moment he found the eggs, sitting proud on the engine mount in the hood of the Marquis with Steve standing there with tears in his eyes looking at the picture of him and his father that Mary must have sent over and holding one of the missing pieces of the Marquis. Over-all Steve really did look like a kid at Easter- if your Kids a 190-pound Navy SEAL who could kill you a thousand different ways with his pinkie- all happy and ecstatic.

"Okay I will admit the Egg Hunt was a lot of fun, thank you, again. I am gonna run up to the master bedroom and grab something for you and Grace, back shortly" Steve said as he extricated himself out from under his girlfriend.

A few minutes later he could hear the lanai doors being thrown open and Steve steeping out other again.

"Daniel! What The Hell? Did you do to my bed?!" Steve shouted across the yard.

"And that is my que to run and never stop running, but please should anything happen to me tell Grace I loved her" Danny whispered as he took off running across the yard in a hopes to avoid Steve.

Not that his plan was ever gonna work, he was after all trying to out manoeuvre a pissed off Navy SEAL in the middle of the night, it was never gonna happen- one can only hope sometimes-

As Steve took off after Danny up the side of the house and down the road, Danny's scream could be heard when Steve finally caught up to him.

After about a minute Steve came back with Danny over his shoulder and headed straight down the yard and dumped Danny right back in the ocean for the second time that day, only this time he walked out into the ocean till he was waist deep before hurling Danny even further.

'Not again!' Danny thought to himself as he swam back to shore and walked back toward the house, only to find the doors locked and his keys on the inside of the house on the kitchen counter.

"McGarrett! Open the doors! NOW!" Danny demanded as he banged on the doors, but no response ever came.

'guess I'm sleeping on the deck till he gets up' Danny thought as he got as comfortable as possible.

Now if Danny woke up the following morning with a blanket wrapped around him, a set of dry spare clothes on the table in front of him and the back door now unlocked, then well he could guess it means Steve can't be that mad at him after all.
