Wayne Manor- Night. The occupants were all asleep, except Damian Wayne. The 12-year-old son of Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle had changed into his Robin costume; a black hood connected to his yellow cape, red shirt synonymous with all Robins, utility belt and a mask that belonged to Jason Todd. He stashed Talia's sword, which was given to him as a present from Uncle Jason and Auntie Rose, into a sheathe and opened the window. But before, he could jump out, his 10-year-old sister, Helena, appeared in the doorway.

Helena:
Damian? Where are you going?

Damian:
To do Dad's job.

Helena:
Do you think it's safe? And that taking Uncle Jason's mask will be enough to protect your identity?

Damian:
It will conceal my identity just fine, along with my hood.

Helena:
it's just, the mask looks a little loose; I'm afraid it'll fall off and expose you.

Damian:
Look, if you're that scared, just stay here. I can very well go alone.

Helena:
I want to go with you. Look, I'm ready.

Damian analyses his sister. Helena was wearing her Huntress attire; a black-and-purple suit covered her entire body, with a purple mask and cape to boot, and utility belt wrapped around her waist. She holds up her crossbow.

Damian:
So, let's go.

He moves to jump out the window, but before he and Helena could, Ace the dog comes into his room.

Damian:
No Ace. Stay here.

Ace begins to whine. Damian pulls a dog biscuit out of his pocket.

Damian:
I'll give you this if you promise to stay, and promise to not tell Mom and Dad.

Ace sits, poking his tongue out happily. Damian gives him the biscuit; Ace chews on it.

Damian:
Let's go Helena.

He jumps out the window and climbs down a water spout on the wall. Helena follows.

Helena:
Are we going to walk to town?

Damian:
Course not.

He tears down some bushes, revealing a motorbike.

Helena:
Cool.

Damian:
Hop on.

He climbs on. Helena sits behind him.

Damian:
Hold on tight, sis.

She hugs against him tightly. Damian revs the motorbike and it takes off.

Downtown Gotham- Later. An elderly woman was sitting at a bus stop when a thief snatched her handbag off her lap.

Woman:
Thief! Help! He took my bag!

On a rooftop above, Damian and Helena witnessed the theft.

Helena:
I think we have our first mission.

Damian:
Violating the eighth commandment?

Helena:
If you say so.

The thief turns a corner into an empty street. Damian and Helena hide in the shadows. He jumps down, landing in front of the thief.

Robin:
Nice night for a robbery?

Thief:
Batman?

Robin:
Wrong. (He steps out into the light, his sword out) His son.

Huntress (Also stepping into the light, her crossbow out):
And daughter.

Thief (To Helena):
I didn't know your mother was Artemis.

Huntress:
My mother's not Artemis!

Thief:
It doesn't matter. You are too young to stop me. And the last Robin was more impressive than you.

Damian:
Hey! We're Batman and Catwoman's children! If you're confident in beating us, why don't you?

Thief:
Catwoman? I did not know she had joined that lousy do-gooder. (He picks up his gun and aims it at Damian and Helena) If you don't let me go, I wouldn't mind ending the Batman line.

Before he could shoot, a whip flies out of nowhere, disarming the thief. Catwoman jumps down into view; Damian and Helena stare fearfully at their mother. She grabs the handbag, returns it to the lady, and ties up the thief.

Huntress:
Mother?

Catwoman:
Home! Now!

Robin (Thinking):
We're screwed!

Huntress (Thinking):
I knew this was risky.

Wayne Manor- Later. Damian and Helena are sitting on the couch in the living room. Bruce and Selina are standing in front of them and the lit fireplace; both were disappointed.

Bruce:
Can I know what you were thinking?

Damian:
Doing your job for you.

Helena:
Yeah.

Bruce:
And what would have happened if your mother hadn't arrived?

Damian:
We would've kicked his ass.

Selina:
Or get shot in the head. It's not a game.

Damian:
Dick told me that he started fighting crime at 8 years old and that his first mission was to save Batman from the Joker. I am 12 and he was a petty thug. I could've stopped him with my sword.

Bruce:
He was lucky. You were careless.

Selina:
Besides, you got your little sister involved in this story.

Damian:
I told her to stay home but she insisted on coming.

Helena (Realising something):
Ace sold us out.

Damian:
Impossible. I made sure he kept quiet.

Bruce:
Bribing him with treats?

Damian:
Yeah.

Bruce:
You snuck out of bed, took your sister with you, bribed Ace, and put yourselves in danger. (Damian lowers his head and says nothing) You will be punished as well as your sister.

Selina:
You're both grounded.

Damian:
How long?

Bruce:
A month.

Helena:
Could I only have 3 weeks?

Selina:
Since you were dragged into it, you can, my little huntress.

Helena:
Thanks, Mom.

Damian:
If I can't go out, can I still train with Mar'i?

Selina:
Alright. But she needs to come here.

Helena pokes her tongue out at her brother.

Damian:
Alright. Can I go up to my room before Helena starts to swallow flies?

Bruce:
You should be in bed.

Damian gets up and walks to the staircase.

Bruce:
And don't let me catch it empty!

Damian:
Yeah, Dad. Good night.

Bruce:
And as for you, young lady. Next time, it will be the same punishment for you too, got it?

Helena lowers her head.

Helena:
Yes, Daddy.

Bruce:
Now, off to bed.

Helena:
Good night, Mom and Dad.

She goes upstairs.

The End
